Do not do business with Hunter Douglas. We had some blinds malfunction after a short period of time, and despite having a full warranty (which was documented and confirmed), they refused to honour the warranty and ended up only offering us a $200 coiupon to a future purchase. Brutal. Dont do business with a company that doesnt honour their contracts!

Hunter Douglas Blinds Poorly Made

Paid $3200 for five blinds in my kids' rooms. Within about a year, the string that pulls the blinds up and down broke. No problem, the woman who advised me to buy the blinds had her installer come and fix it. Then another one broke shortly after. Then another. Fast forward to today and one of the ones that broke originally has broken again. Nice quality? Horrible.
I either have to take the blind down myself and ship it to Hunter Douglas (yeah, okay) or pay $95.00 plus tax to have her installer come and fix them all as they break, which is constantly it seems.

Next time, I'm going to Costco and getting my blinds. This company is a joke.

Hunter Douglas Unfair Rebate Rejection

Purchased $5, 000 worth of cellular shades for our home. Four of the shades were Hunter Douglas' "Architela" line, their most expensive. Was rejected a $100 "Holiday Style Event" rebate - Hunter Douglas' reason was "Minimum purchase requirement not meant". Minimum purchase for rebate is four windows. One of the windows is 10' X 7' and the saleperson recommended two shades due to size. We ordered a single headrail which was more expensive than separate headrails. Hunter Douglas states due to the single headrail it is considered one shade. I called and wrote them in protest but they would not budge.
