Huggies snug and dry, size 5

9/18/2015

Item Number: BI517515P 2851719

The winged adhesive straps snapped off, with very little force behind the pull, while changing my son. This resulted in a completely wasted diaper, and more importantly, my poor son being whipped by the remaining part of the strap causing him to become startled and upset. Following the incident I checked the remaining diapers from the same package and noticed that the straps on many others were either also weak, or partially torn already.

I believe we should be compensated for or wasted money and time, as well as, the unnecessary risks my son was subjected to while using this product.

Huggies snug and dry rash

Let me start out by saying I have never made a complaint about any product I have purchased, even when I have been really disappointed, but these diapers have harmed my daughter and I don’t want any other family to have to go through the same nightmare we are currently going through. Since my daughter has been born we have always used Huggies diapers and wipes, we loved their products and trusted them on our daughters delicate skin. Last week we opened a new box of diapers, these ones were Huggies “Snug and Dry” instead of our usual “Little movers” but considering we had always used Huggies we never thought anything bad could happen. It started on Friday, I went to change my daughter and noticed my usually calm happy baby was very distraught as I was changing her but I chalked it up to it being late and her being tired. I put on her Huggies “snug and dry” diaper and put her down to bed. When I heard her screaming over the monitor at 3am I was shocked as she always slept through the night, I got up and changed her and noticed a little irritation on her skin but nothing I was too concerned about. She woke up the next morning with what I can only describe as the worst looking sunburn I had ever seen, but again I never thought it could be the diapers. I put her in the bath and got her dressed and used lots of barrier cream to help soothe this rash. I continued to play with her like any normal day until I started noticing she is was not walking around as much or as playful as she usually was, at this point she had been using these diapers for a day and a half. This time when I went to change her she started screaming the second I picked her up, I took off her diaper and was shocked to find blisters, yes blisters on my 11 month olds privates. I started to think back to what could have possibly started such a nasty rash, she wasn’t eating anything different, we always used the same gentle soaps, nothing had changed other than these new diapers. I immediately undressed her completely only to find this rash spread up her belly (only to where her diaper touched), I put her in the bath with Epsom salts to try and give her some relief. She remained diaperless for much of that day as she would not let me go near her with a diaper, but when it came time for bed we made sure to go out and buy some pampers to put on her for the night. When morning rolled around she seemed much happier, I checked her diaper and the rash was finally subsiding, though the blisters were still remaining. It is now Wednesday and we are still fighting with the remainder of this rash. After seeing two doctors (one at the walk in clinic and one her pediatrician) they said the rash looked almost like a chemical burn and that because of that it has irritated the skin and caused blisters that at that point were open sores allowing bacteria to get in, giving her a virus that caused her whole body, including her face break out in a rash. Not only that, but because of the virus has been sick with diarrhea and vomiting. We were told that with Epsom salt baths and a strict regimen of barrier cream, antibiotic cream, hydrocortisone and anti-fungal cream we should be able to take care of the rash in a couple weeks, WEEKS! Now all because we trusted Huggies to be gentle and baby friendly we are here trying to soothe our daughter with a chemical burn from their product. Like I said I have never been one to complain or jump to conclusions with products but this has infuriated me and every time I look at my daughter’s poor raw skin I get more and more mad. I just struggle to know how it is even possible to have chemicals in their diapers that is capable of this.

Same for my daughter. I bought huggies snug and dry for the first time this month because theyre the only diapers that the store had at the time. Now i use generic diapers. I think huggies stop selling snug and dry diapers. My daughter didn't get blisters though, probably because i noticed it right away. Those pics are just from the 1st day of her wearing the huggies snug and dry diapers.

Huggies huggies wipes

I opened a pack of Huggie wipes for my daughter and put them in her wipe warmer. I had used a few before discovering one side of them was really rough, which I thought was strange. Wondering what was wrong with the texture I started examining the wipe to discover one side (that was rough) had little small sparkly pieces in it. They were everywhere. I knew this wasn't right so I starting looking online for an explanation. I found all these reviews on what was going on and I must say I am beyond concerned. My daughter has a broke out bottom. This has to be the cause. I know accidents happen some times in production. But this NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP. I have 3 other packs of Huggies wipes I haven't opened to check but I bought them all at the same time. They will probably be affected too.

I always used wipes to dry my face and they never affected me, but the last two times that i bought them it has been a waste of money! I am very disappointed it feels like it has alcohol and it itches really bad.

I agree I am a mother of a 10 month old boy and have noticed the same thing, I am even a huggies rewards member because I used huggies so much.
But ever since I used them and would change my baby I noticed him digging and scratching but I didn't think nothing of it till his Dr told me maybe it's the huggies pampers so I stopped using the pampers and continued using the wipes still my baby was digging and scratching his butt is now in flamed and I've goggle and see why HUGGIES ARE USING HARSH CHEMICALS ON THERE PRODUCTS

Huggies causes boils rashes and blister like sores

I purchased my son huggies wipes and noticed him starting to itch and scratch his bottom and growing area. Not realizing why I continued to use them. He then got blister like sores in between his butt and rashes around his growing. He has been potty trained since then and ive not had any complaints from him about itching or pain. I also used one of his wipes on myself and me myself became irritated and swollen in my woman area. That confirmed that it was surely the wipes that caused my child great pain. He had to go to the er and his pediatrician and get meds to correct this issue. Me as a concerned mother advise huggies company to recall all of huggies wipes for the safety and well being of our children.

Huggies fiber glass in wipes

I'm from Ky. I opened my daughters wipes and put them under the light and they had glass in them. They would come off on your hand. They caused my hands to itch and burn. Also my daughter kept getting a rash over and over and I stopped using the wipes and after a week her rash went away. I will not be using these wipes anymore and I think everyone should be cautious and check! Please do something about this!

Huggies baby rash caused by wipes

To whom it might concern,

My name is mauricio romy and I live in chicago, il. A weeks ago my wife and I started buying huggies wipes for my daughter who is 2 years old. On august 17th we noticed that our baby girl started scratching very desperate her private parts, my wife and I checked her and we noticed that she had a huge rage due to the scratching. We came to the conclusion that the rash was created by something on the wipes. I did some research and I started to inspect the wipes and I noticed some bright particles on the wipes, something similar to the particles on isolation sheet like fiber glass. I graved a wipe and robed it on my had for a couple of seconds and right after that my hand was itching so bad that I had to put cold water on it for a few minutes.

Something is wrong with huggies wipes and this product should not be on the shelves of any store until this gets investigated. My daughter still have a big rash on her private parts and this is horrible how a company in the united states of america doesn't care about how much damage their product can cause to a child.

I ask huggies to remove all there wipes from the shelves of all the stores where they sell their products until this gets investigated and resolved. I will contact an attorney and will follow up with this complaint.

Huggies Wipes are rough with tiny pieces of unknown material

I bought a pack of wipes last week (August 12, 2015) and used them for a couple of days on my 1.5 year old son. He developed a rash so I switched back to using Walmarts brand of wipes and the rash went away. I didn't think much of it until yesterday when I opened the pack of wipes to use one to wipe up something that had spilled and noticed something rough embedded into the wife. After looking at the wipe(s) closer, I can see thousands of tiny little pieces of what appears to be glass or fiberglass. The wipe's sparkle when you look at them in the light and one side of the wipe feels rough when you rub your hand over it.

I looked at the other brand of wipes I have here and they are not rough and they do not sparkle.

I don't use Huggies wipes very often, but I hope this isn't typical for your wipes. As a company that sells baby products, I would hope that you would make sure that the babies that these products are being used on will be safe.

Huggies glass pieces

Opend my pack of wipes the other day at work to wipe off my hands. I kept getting jabbed i figured it was just my hands being that dirty so i go and actually wash my hands. It stung really bad like i had been scratched. When i got home from work i looked at the wipes under a flashlight and there are tiny pieces of what looks like glass all over them. I figured i had just got a bad pack, so i go to the store and buy another one to use on my baby. Nope bad idea the scrached his butt so bad he would cry when i cleaned him. Something needs to be done. Im going back to pampers and i dont think i will ever be coming back to higgies. Even as much as i love the cucumber and green tea scented wipes, you lost this customer for good.

Huggies wipes with glass shards!

I am beyond upset at the fact that i opened up a new pack of huggies wipes that I have been using since january 7 of 2014 & it had some sort of glass shards or fiberglass on it, this would explain the constant wining & uncomfortable itching of my daughters bottom & privates, also the rashes . This is ridiculous & I would say these wipes need to be taken off the shelves . Who in their right mind would make something for a child like this . If something is not done about this I will be sure to go the full extent to get something done

Huggies glass shards

I just opened a box of Huggies baby wipes and found thousands of small shards of glass or fiberglass in each wipe! They even rub off on my hands if I wipe them. These should definitely be recalled!

Many parents are posting videos of their Huggies Wipes containing glass shards so I decided to check mine. I can't believe that this company has the nerve to label their products as natural! These wipes contain thousands of glass shards and Huggies is saying they are not going to react on the issue because they do not have enough complaints! We all have children, little brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews etc. Are we really going to just let them get away with this?

There is fiber glass in these wipes, and my child has a clear diaper rash that will not go away, which I assume is because of these wipes. I demand a full refund.

I checked mine, and there is fiberglass aswell. I use them on my 4 year old, and newborn. My 4 yearold has been extremely itchy, and my newborn gets cranky when she is wiped. No its not be because the wipes are cold, they get warmed. I have j u st discovered this, and switched wipes, and now my newborn is not cranky when wiped. What choices do i have? If I return them, I have no proof.

I have been seeing plenty of post to check my Huggies wipes and so I decided to check mine, I wiped my hand acrossed it and little shiny spex of fiberglass was on my hand, you expect us to wipe our children's behind with something that is going to hurt them ? I've bought nothing but Huggies wipes for the past 3 years would you wipe your own kid with your product?!

Huggies extremely bad chemical burns

I have always used pampers for my daughter, but we bought her the snug and dry diapers because pampers didn't have her size at the store we went to that day. And NEVER again will I buy huggies no matter what type of diaper. When I put one on her, at her next diaper change she had developed what looked like a heat rash so I left it alone and just changed her more frequently. Every diaper change it seemed to get worse. So I thought it was a diaper rash and proceeded to use ointment. It didn't helook so I switched ointment but at night time 2 days later, it looked like I left my daughter sitting in her poop for hours! It was so red and raw and began to develop blisters. I went out and bought her a box of her normal diapers and it has gotten better but it was so bad it's taking awhile to clear up. Extremely disappointed with these diapers and never again will I buy a huggies brand and put my daughter's health at stake.

Omg! I too am from El Paso and just today my son started with a horrible rash. We have been using the Huggies Lil Movers for some time now but I did notice they were different pattern and texture this time around. I have been reading horror stories and I'm not taking any chances. Running down to the nearest store to purchase Pampers brand and never again will I take a chance with Huggins anything.

Huggies huggies are going down the drains

Good Day
I have always been a Pampers lady, but last week I had to settle for Huggies and what a huge disappointment this was for me. My poor daughter started getting a nappy rash and now her bum is so raw that it started to bleed and this is because of the wetness on the nappy, this doesn't dissolve within the nappy, it stays on top. When i give them a nappy change her bum and private parts are still wet, wet, wet... Oh and don't let them have a poo nappy, oh my word, this comes out from the back side all the way to the back of her neck. I really don't know who you make these nappies, but quality wise, i think Huggies is really going down the drain.
I prefer using Pampers, I don't think i will ever buy Huggies again no matter what the cost would be.

Huggies not-all-that-dry

I have been using Huggies Gold since my boy was born, and I've never had a problem. He would sleep through the night, and would wake up in the morning and still be as dry as a bone... until a bought my recent pack... Baby wakes up soaking wet during the night, and I would need to change him at least twice during the night. Im not sure if the pack I bought was just a "bad batch" or if the quality is deteriorating... but all I can say is that I am HIGHLY disappointed...

I have purchased a pack of Huggies Gold 5 and I have found approximately 10 defective nappy's. There is a piece of plastic on the inside of the nappy and it cannot be removed. I cannot make use of them because it will cause discomfort to my toddler. Thanks.

Huggies fabric flaw

Good day! I have purchased huggies dry comfort for the 9 months. Sad to say the last 2 packs we're really disappointing. The valco is loose and does not stick. I found a hardening on the fabric on 3 nappys which my baby cannot use. I feel I have wasted a great amount of money 4 me just to trow them away before been used. I would like feedback on a way foward . Thank you

This is the 3rd bag of hugies ive found damaged reject napies in. Doesnt the stuff get qaulity approved? Ive made up my mind im changing to another brand cause huggies is selling reject defective napies to its clients and think they can get away with it by sending coupons to the few who do complain.

Huggies Bad quality!!

Hi ive been using Huggies gold for 1.5 years now and for the first time i am very very dissapointed in the quality of the dipers! I just started using no5...they leak and dont hold much fluids. I can say for about two times pee-pee and my boy have a wet mark on his pants! I did not have this problem with the no 4+. It also feels like the no 5 is much thinner than the 4+ was. Just saying i cant pay so much for a diper that can only take two times pee-pee.
