HRD Strategies/Mike Lovett was hired in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg, FL area by Bankers Insurance Group to help with the Human Resources department and later some corporate restructuring. Besides the lack of any measurable benefits of the services Mike Lovett and HRD strategies provided, Mike Lovett himself had a negative affect on the company's morale. He treated the employee's like they were cattle, made a lot of false promises, and held a dispostion of being above everyone else. Mike Lovett, was hired to his role solely because of his connections to the principal of the company. Despite be given this opportunity and being well compensated, it was found out that for years Mike had included his wife, Nina Lovett, on the company's Health Care Plan at no cost to them. Nina was not contracted with the company, nor ever present in any way. This was the equivalent of stealing. When this was discovered, Mike was fired on the spot and physically escorted from the building. Mike Lovett is out for himself and himself only. Don't make the same mistake and work with this company or person in any capacity, you will easily do better with someone else.

I remember this guy, Mike Lovett. He was a total creep. He would only associate himself with the top brass at Bankers and did not devote time to us little guys at the company. He was always too busy brown nosing and somehow had time to flirt with all the female managers there. When I actually asked him for guidance on issues our department was having he couldn't even give me 5 mins of his time. He asked me to write down my problems and a list of solutions and if it still bothered me to come see him the following week- completely missing the point. I watched him do some sick things to people while he was there too. He made a fellow Human Resources employee lay off dozens of people one day, people that were her friends and colleagues for years, then promptly fired her the following day. He used her for that one additional day of emotional heavy lifting then sent her packing like the rest so he wouldn't have to. I can only imagine how the emotional roller coaster of those two days back-to-back had to feel. Anyways- I'd tell Mike to practice what he preaches, the whole purpose of being in Human resources is to work for the employees and this guy may know what to say, but applying it is totally different.
