Horrible Customer Care Policies

Hotwire's customer "care" is horrible. This is my first experience with them and it will be the last. They can't do anything to change a simple oversight without charging you hundreds of dollars. All I can say is be very very careful or you will end up paying three times the original price. There is no such thing as customer care at Hotwire.com. I have used Expedia.com many many times and have never had a problem. Their customer service is exceptional and thier CSR's have the authorityto immediate ly fix an error without charging exorbitant amonts in "required" fees.

My advise is DON'T USE HOTWIRE!!

You complaint should be more informative of your situation. You purchased an airline fare and screwed up your dates. When it come to changing this, Hotwire is bound by the fare rules that the airline has set forth for the ticket. Other travel websites may have tickets with different sets of fare rules, which is why they can change them for less. Their terms of use listed right on your final booking page where you enter your payment information list that there may be a fee to change dates (if changes are even allowed at all), and the even offer up a copy of the fare rules so that you may read for yourself if you like. Incidentally, right above the ToU section there is a place that lists your trip details so you may confirm what you have selected is what you want before you make a final booking.
