This website is a scam. All of the profiles are computer generated to get you to be actively involved in the site and "to encourage participation" (in the site's own words) found in the disclaimer on the site. Evidently, they use a company called Cupid, Inc. to create generic profiles for the site. The disclaimer even mentions that the site is for entertainment purposes only and not for dating. When you sign up, you'll be directed to "pay for" sites with internet chatting, web cams, etc. Users will "message" you, but will never reply to your responses. The one thing that gives it away is their website technology is a little out of whack. Some of the user profiles aren't quite par with their messages. Another words, you'll get a message from some hottie just down the road that says "I noticed we're pretty close, would you like to swap contact information?" When you pull up their profile, their like a gazillion miles away. Don't waste your money. This is a complete joke!

I too was scammed so far and am not going to continue with it after reading this site
I got scammed bye being in the hospital with a head injury and getting out and getting a email on my personal account with a girl wanting to meet asap. So i responded and next this she is showing naked picture i mean hardcore well being a 38yrd man it got me excited so i chatted a bit more well then more and more pictures cam in with her name and all the jazz... Then she said i had to join a website called hookups.com so i checked it out and still messaging she was saying i need to become a certified member because of her past dating experiences. well it was a 100 here then 100 there and i will get reimbursed well then she went on how i made her feel and stuff where i just got out of a relationship for being cheated on so i wanted some kittie real bad well sooner than later i was in the hole and kept getting to about being reimbursed so i get plaid with more and more pictures then the girl who went bu the name Kelly Jane Morrins pawns me of on some site administrator that was to complete this ID well lets just say i got fubar again with needing this much to get this and wtf ever with kelly still massaging me to cooperate and i can have what ever i fancy... well a year goes buy and i get put back in the hospital where this admin says she will hold my spot in line well i get out and sure as [censored] she needed more money so i start to ask for what now well this ID was supposed to cost 1500 i was like go to hell. Then the admin say i wound get refund if i dont agree to finish so i get sucked in again being i needed the money back so this admin asks for money and they use the hangouts app so it dont show admin email aress it just says this
"Site administrator Together networks" that made me upset to say the least so i go back to talking to Kelly and she sends a picture of her ID that i was to be getting. I ask her where did she get this Admin from she had no answer well after more time and more scamming i was able to find out the Admin name and she too sent me pictures an telling me to quit talking to kelly and how she wanted me and would do anything i fancy Her name is "Amalia Dixon " which im sure is fake as hell cause i looked all over the net for a name and face that match the naked dildo picture she sent and well none in the web world is this same name and bosy she scammed me with i would liketo show picture but they are dirty oh well this is for other males to see and not scammed and see what i went threw this first is Kelly that is still around but lives on a government income with her disabled aunt then the second bunsh pictures is the site admin aka "Amalia Dixon"

They are a scam, they use porn stars that make you believe that these girls are interested in you and they make you pay for memberships, and then upgrades. George Watson is a CEO of the company. If I could I would put in jail he is a scam artist. Beware of them.

Big fat [censor] scam! God knows what's happening to my personal details at the moment. Really, it's probably even better to blow your credit card on cam girls. Atleast they're real!

Response from their Customer support: We have over 20 million "real" members on our site.

When you upgraded to a premium membership, the following disclaimer was clearly stated on the upgrade page,

“By logging in, I affirm that I am at least 18 years old and I understand that this site is for adult entertainment purposes only, and agree to the terms and conditions, privacy policy and to the use and nature of online cupids”.

Online Cupids or OC’s are fictitious profiles made by real people intended to stimulate conversation with members in order to encourage a broader participation in all of our Site's services. This includes the posting of additional information and/or pictures to the member’s profiles. The OC's also serve as a means of monitoring member activities, communications between members, and ensure compliance with our Terms and Conditions. OC profiles are clearly marked with a white Online Cupid badge at the top of the profile page.
************************************************** ***********************************
Well they won't disclose how many of those 20M "real" members are paying males (probably very close to 100%) and how many are real females (I'd say close to 0%). Just go on their site as a male (looking for a woman) and click on Who's Online, and almost 100% are Online Cupids - you know the ones that send you bogus Buddy requests daily, the ones that send you bogus flirty messages daily, and the ones that that pop up at the bottom of your active screen wanting to chat! AND yes they are "clearly" designated as Online Cupids, but EVERYTHING YOU GET IS, so you forget that they are totally fake - no site could have that much fake fantasy crap! Well if you are a man looking for a woman this site is totally fake!

Except for a few "blank" female "basic members" that have profile names like "TEXTME_[protected]", and those are just your run of the mill Ghana scammers - hey, but at least they are real people in Ghana trying to scam your money, and not computer generated fake Online Cupids!

By the way, if you are a woman signing on to this site it is a totally different experience as there are NO male Online Cupids (at least that I'm aware of - gotta keep the women happy in this Honey Trap of a supposed dating site), AND when you click on to see Who's Online, it is 100% eligible REAL paying member men!

I'm on another site called cougarlife.com which has OC's as well, but they're kind of obvious just like what buddy there described, but I have met a few women off there, just normal women not like the perfect ten OC's and it was a positive experience so I don't care. But now it seems like I'm getting new generation OC's it seems like telling me in very detailed msgs and from email accounts to join up with hookup.com so they can verify my ID claiming the site will screen me. She claimed its free, but I have to give my credit card info, so now im suspicious but the thing that really tipped me off was the 2nd OC msging me with similar lines in her profile, instant access to private pics. Would they go this far for 30 bucks?

FULL ON MONEY TAKER.. the do there best to try and say that you brake there rules and remove your account when you ask question as you learn things are not what they say. people will e-mail you to get you to play along.. get you to pay more $$.. i sent e-mails out to people who viewed me as well as people who sent me e-mails in side there systems. i said let meet and i go by were you live most each day and so on.. as fast as i press send the message.. poof.. that person comes on line.. or with in 5 mins the persons on line.. in my message i said when we meet and things go well we can give each other our numbers. I NEVER gave my number or asked for numbers.. not 1 hour after i sent messages to like 25 people.. i got the your message has been removed for not following there rules.. and my account will be removed.. i e-mailed them be for they removed my account. asking why. they said for giving out my number and asking for numbers.. that i did not do.. so they backed off. next day i cheeked my profile and it said i was a male.. well im not.. so i sent a ticket asking them if they could fix it for me.. 30 mins later i got e-mail saying i broke the site rules and my account has been removed.. FOR ASKING A QUESTION TO THEM.. BULL CRAP.. i told them i want my $$ back.. we will see they said 7-10 days to get the $$ back..
THIS SITE IS FULL ON B.S. PASS UP ANYTHING THAT HAS HOOK UP IN IT.. THEY HAVE LIKE 4 HOOK UP SITES.. HOOKUP IHOOKUP AND A FEW OTHERS. ALL THE SAME ..

Hook Up.com is a fraud, I agree, not only most profiles are fake, but some "girls" also chat with you suggesting things like: "Hi, Wanna play?" They will ask you to meet on your private e-mail chat, but before starting "the game" they will tell you: Do you have your credit card number?

Hey, they got your money, so now let the buyer beware. You will notice on each of the profiles a little icon that says OC, stands for Online Cupid. Maybe somewhere there is a lawyer that talked some sense into these guys, and they felt they needed to cover themselves.
I have looked at over 1800 profiles of women on this site, and none of them were real people. I was amazed at how many I had to go through to find one real woman.
Guess the best way to describe this site is that it is a men only site, where men pay $29.95 per month to talk to a computer generated room filled with artificial women. To make matters worse, if you delete your profile, your pictures and description remain and they will use you to lure others onto this site.

What? $29.0] a month? This [censored] tried to get me for $50. A month until I realized I should check the site out first. Thank God I didnt shell out money. I hate scammers.
