unable to find

I tried to order this product "free trial pay shipping of $3.95 only" through an internet ad. When I got to the credit card portion of the on line sales form, it wanted the code next to my signature on the back of the credit card. Since I feel that code is there for my protection and no one has ever asked for it before, I decided not to order and closed out the page. About 1 hour later, I received a call from this company regarding my attempt to order Hoodia. I decided to place the order by phone. They argued with me to get the secret code on the back of my credit card but I still wasn't about to share that code. The sale went through without that number, as I knew it would. Two days after I ordered the product, another telemarketer called and tried to sell me something else from their company. This was also a "free trial". She needed to send me an email confirmation and again wanted the code off the back of my card. She actually argued with me for 15 minutes assuring me that nothing would be charged but she would be unable to send the email without that number. She finally hung up on me. Later that same day I received the email that she stated she would be unable to send without that code. At this point, I decided that enough was enough. I emailed the person whose name appeared on the confirmation email and canceled my order. Although I never received a reply, I also never received a rejection notice that it was undeliverable. About 2 weeks later, I got a package in the mail. I had already canceled through email so I wrote "REFUSED" on the package and sent it back to the company. Today, when my credit card bill came, there was a charge for $79.95 for the order I had refused. There had been plenty of time for them to receive what I had sent back. I called the 888 number listed on my CC bill and could only leave a message. They recommended that I contact them through their web site but didn't give me the web address. I called my CC Company and explained the situation to them. They have given me a temporary credit while they try to get in touch with the company. BEWARE.
