Lousy courier firm. I ordered goods from Ambrose Wilson catalogue and this courier firm did not deliver my goods. If you phone them they tell you to go back to the catalohgue, and the catalogue tells you that they have no contact with the courier!

Lousy arrangement, avoid, avoid, avoid!

Heres the phone number for Hermes couriers - if anyone needs it.

I ordered goods from Matalan, unfortunately Matalan is using Hermes courier and more than a week ago ordered some goods as yet there is no sign and all I get from customer services of Matalan is false promises. Pathetic courier company. Totally agree Avoid Hermes and retailers using their services as well.

Have just received a could not deliver card from Hermes 1st attempt, I checked my door bell was still working and it was, so they never rang it, I was in and they never rang, the card said contact me on the number below and re arrange delivery, the space for the telephone number has been left blank so I could not phone them and the name of the delivery person was also left blank, so I went to the Herpes europe web site and entered my consignment number from ebay and my post code, it showed that the courrier received the parcel at 10.09 and the next entry was at 13.24(3 hours later) and said 3rd attempt and it looks like thats it.I think they should change their terms of use to a "NON DELIVERY COMPANY", this company are worse than useless.

In my Courier circles, my Colleagues Brothers do collect for My Hermes, not so much Brothers; as I don't shout in Polish, so more like associates in the Trade.
Call me Whistle-Blower, but my Profession is being Plagued, compromised and people need to be aware of Rogue Elements within My Hermes giving us all a Plop name.

They have your P2G Reference Number. Because they have to, they are the Consignors that are collecting and Handling the Consignments. Via the Net (P2G) Parcel 2 Go Consignment number tells Carrier exactly what you said is in the Parcel when you Booked it - then you may wonder why it's taken so long to get there when the Courier has taken it home to check the P2G numbers for a Guide as to contents for what can pass straight on route and what needs further looking at. If contents are Plop, then Reseal for Onward destination, but anything Value is send home to EU especially if extremely undervalued to circumvent insurance over £20 Parcel Contents Value - This is defo one for Matthew Allright and his Portugal Journalistic friend to Secrete a Tracker, under insure - and state 18ct Bracelet worth £20 and just watch this P2G number Network its way to Albania, Ha! Not Via My Hermes.

I have from JD Williams, ordered a bathroom cabinet 3 times, I has sat in 3 months waiting, Hermes just return it back to JD Williams, no way have they ever come to my door, I have full vision of delivery vans arriving, my dog also barks, I just sit and wait then receive email from JD Williams saying my item has been returned, I have never ever receive a card through the door, if they had left a card I would see them as well, I now have a bathroom incomplete, and I told JD Williams on phone this morning, I will never order again, whilst they continue to use a rubbish delivery company, I am fuming, my husband has been doing weekly shopping so I can sit and watch through window, so thats 3 returns and no deliveries to me, all same cabinet, don't use please the DO NOT DELIVER

My tracking information says: 'Delivered to shed' Yes we have a shed, but unless the couriers houdini, and could get through a big padlock, then theres no way it could have been left in the shed, plus i was in all day saturday when it was meant to have been delivered, so I would have seen a strange person trying to get into the shed, Personally i think 'delivered to shed' is a code for ' I can't be bothered to deliver your parcel, i'm just going to make you think its there, when really i'm going to keep the parcel to sell on ebay to make up the money on the 45p i get for each parcel'
All I want is my parcel, i ordered it 2 weeks in advance for this friday, and starting to panic that it won't arrive, its a company like this that should be on 'Watchdog' to warn people out there not to use them

the worst delivery company i have ever had to experience in my life, i am still waiting on 1 item which i ordered a week ago, they keep saying reattempt and i have sat in for a week waiting on delivery so are these people invisible and that's why i cannot see them, no one has been to my door so this reattempt is a load of lies and this company should not be allowed to deliver peoples goods, i am still waiting on my delivery but today is the last day then i want a refund for my 1 item which i know i am not going to get, and this is only the 2nd time i have had the misfortune to be dealing with them and twice i have had problems the company is a joke .

3/3 parcels in the last 3 weeks not delivered! One parcel was lost while the other two parcels delivery apparently attempted. In all instances we were at home, the doorbell was not rang nor was a note ever left to inform us of delivery. In the end no orders where ever delivered and hermes have cost us a lot of time and money chasing deliveries. Very infuriating and a great inconvenience!
If you can (which you often can’t then) avoid them!

I ordered some perfume from Boots Online and Hermes were the company booked to deliver it. After receiving a telephone text message saying that the parcel was dispatched and could be tracked on their tracking service I was sure that the parcel would arrive in a few days. However, after this time had elapsed and no parcel had arrived I started to get concerned. That same day a very elderly gentleman came to the door with my parcel saying that he had found it at his house and didn't know how long it had been there. He wasn't very pleased at having to bring it around and I don't blame him! He didn't live a long distance away but for an elderly gentleman who wasn't steady on his feet it was quite a long walk and he shouldn't have had to make the trip anyway. I asked for the parcel to be left in recycling bin at back of house and he left it in a porch at the wrong house. I have tried leaving a message of complaint on their message board but every time I try and get into the system it it shuts down and wont let me type anything! Not impressed.

Sold a BBQ on EBay and booked Hermes to deliver it. Booked via their website (or should I say web[censored]e). When booking they ask for the weight and dimensions of the parcel. Item duely picked up by courier the next working day. Two weeks on and the purchaser contacted me to tell me it hadn't been delivered. The tracking service said it couldn't be delivered as it was too big. I contacted Hermes who said it was my fault because the item was too big, as stated in their Ts and Cs. Therefore they had to wait until they could send it via another courier with a larger vehicle. Every day the tracking service said the same - out for delivery to courier. The customer emailed them and was told it should be delivered within two days. A week later, still no parcel. At no time could either the buyer or myself find a phone number for them. What sort of company doesn't provide their customers with a phone number to contact them on? I told them their web[censored]e shouldn't have accepted my order after I had given the dimensions. Once they accepted the order and I had paid they had entered into a contract and they had broken that contract. They still harped on about waiting for a bigger van. Then my buyer let me know that it had just been delivered - From the boot of a CAR!
I contacted EBay to complain about Hermes, as they recommend them, and Ebay have provided me with a number to call. So for those of you still searching for a contact number here it is - +[protected]. However I do notice that other people have put contact numbers on here and they all seem to be different. So they probably change the number as soon as people start finding out the number they are currently using.

Steer well clear of Hermes and their crappy web[censored]e, which will let you pay for delivery of an item they are not prepared to carry.

COMPLAINT ABOUT YOUR REPAIR SERVICE AND OVERALL CUSTOMER SERVICES

I had bought a 32MM leather Noir Gold belt in October 2011 which developed a white patch for some reason. I sent it for repairs and all your leather specialist, Claire, did was colour the patch with black colour, for which she took 3 weeks. There is clearly some fault with the leather. When I visited your customer services colleague, Irina Nazarenko, today, I was told she would have to send it to Paris and it may take 3-4 months. Given the length of time you would take for this, I have decided not to give the belt to be sent to Paris. Irina's behaviour and timeframe she outlined (initially 3 months and then she mentioned 4 months as a possibility too) clearly made it sound she was not at all keen to send it to Paris.

I am deeply disappointed and still cant believe a brand like Hermes can have such a customer services department. My experience with Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior has been so incredible that anytime I have had any issues, I have been given utmost priority and product replacement when required. The Hermes belt I bought was not more than 4 months old and its fascinating your professionalism, especially considering all the claims you make about quality of your products. I have to admit you have definitely lost one customer and may be many more in years to come.

Good luck and hope you can do something about your staff and train them towards forming client relationships as opposed to destroying them.

Nitika

Total waste of time, I ordered an item twice they turned up at different times and left cards, tried to call and all you get is sill numbers and stupid messages saying that they cant deal with it and you have to contact the person you bought from. The local number in Morley is never answered having called 27 times nin two days at alternate times no one ever answers. Yet when i went to the building sat outside and called again staff were clearly there but not answering AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Waiting 2weeks for delivery Hermes keep stating in tracking that they tried to deliver (no cards trough my door or any sight of them) Yesterday afternoon as weather was nice i was outside just in front of my door(i only have one door)working on my motorcycle so i would`nt miss them!I went inside to check tracking only to find Hermes stated they tried to deliver at 3, 17pm.at 3pm i was actually on phone to Inter-parcel (delivery booked through them)enquiring whats happening!Hermes hav`nt been to mine once like i keep telling Inter-parcel.I've never had this hassle before & i have hundreds of parcels delivered.Sick of waiting in every day in the hope my parcels might come.Told Inter-parcel i really want my parcels handed over to royal mail who knows how to deliver! In these days of sat nav there really is no excuse.& they blatantly lying with the tracking information.its a disgrace.Even Inter-parcel aren't able to get them on phone!Have now requested that Hermes deliver to my local post office where i can easily collect.Would never have anything to do with these idiots again

Hi, i'm glad i'm not the only person having issues. I USED to order items from Simply be catalouge but they use Hermes for deliveries. They would turn up, not even bother knocking the door and throw the parcel over the gate. The only reason i knew it was there was because i would see the van driving off. They also used to just knock the door, leave the parcel on the doorstep and drive off, which had we been out anyone could have come along and pinched it. So due to this i no longer order out their catalouge as i just don't trust them. I now have a new problem with them though, Amazon have decided to start using them. The first time i ordered off them they came with the delivery and my dog came to the door, went to jump up at him for a fuss. The driver went beserk, starting running round my front garden, saying 'it's bit me, it bit me'. I told him that there was no way my dog had bitten him, to which he pulled his trousers down in my front garden! and said see theres marks, which there wasn't. He then went on to say how he was going to get the police involved, i am still waiting for the police and this happened last October time! But now he has put a note on my address which means if anything needs to be delivered by Hermes they refuse to come to my address. I am so angry with this company but there is no one to complain to, avoid them like the plague!

hc132 - Your complaint is with the retail company and THEIR delay not Hermes. Welshwarrior - if parcel was damaged in transit, question the company you have bought it from and their standards of packaging. I do not deliver any parcels that are damaged as I wouldn't appreciate a damaged parcel myself so send them back. If youwant to accept broken parcels thats up to you but us couriers have standards too. The reason that couriers don't leave their numbers is because we really don't appreciate phonecalls at midnight telling us that you are home now. My customers know my telephone number and call at all times, its not like a regular 9 - 5 job, we get calls from 6am (before people leave for work) until midnight and it's very annoying. My answer machine is listened to on a regular basis but I'm not leaving my home once I've finished work for no-one, next day delivery or not, if your not home and nowhere safe to leave, tough you have to wait. I think hermes should be like other companies, leave their card, call tomorrow and if your not in, tough it goes back. we bend over backwards to deliver goods for no appreciation from you lot, just moaning. There are plenty of more important things to worry about in the world for goodness sake.

I ordered something from H&M on the 18th August. H&M cant find the parcel, hermes have no contact number and I am going out of my mind!

I have spent my entire day off (I work full time and often only have one day off a week) waiting for a parcel from a high street retailer who have chosen to use Hermes as their couriers. I specifically chose this date because I am working lots this week and paid extra for it to arrive on this date so to spend my entire day off inside and having to cancel my plans for the day just to find out at about 6.30 (half an hour before possible end of delivery since the package could get to me between 8am and 7pm) that it has been delayed via the initial high street retailer (also, after waiting ages in a queue on the phone to them) has made me absolutely livid. I have received no response from hermes and there is no way of making a formal complaint because they just email you an email asking you to contact the person whom you bought the product from! I cannot believe that I have wasted an entire day, stuck in my flat. I am so upset. I don't even have the product! I mean if I had the product I'd still be bugged that I spent the day in waiting but now I fear I will have to go through the whole polava of not being in when they decide they want to deliver something I have bought because I have a job and then having to chose another date to spend my entire day stuck inside waiting for a simple package! argh! DO NOT USE. They had my phone number and still did not contact me to warn me of the delay!

Hermes are a nightmare! I buy alot of goods from ebay and have dealt with all the major delivery couriers and all of them allow you to phone and enquire about a parcel you are waiting for but not hermes!

I been tracking my parcel for about a week now and it says "Courier to Re-attempt" yet no-one has been near my door and no card has been left to say they called, it was raining here the time they said they tried to deliver so i guess driver did'nt want to get out of his van and get wet,

I called hermes but an automated system stated that i had to contact the seller and sender of my parcel as hermes could'nt discuss anything with me (what a joke!) how am i suppose to re-arrange delivery if i cannot talk to anyone? Hermes are a bunch of cowboys who should be avoided like the plague!

On three separate occasions Hermes haven't delivered and my goods have been returned to the sender without explanation. No other delivery company have ever had a problem finding my address and if is the problem then surely they should contact me... I would urge all sellers to advertise which delivery service they are using so the customer can make an informed decision, but further to this I wouldn't use this company as they're clearly not reliable.

I ordered some clothes off the internet. A week later I had a 'Sorry I Missed You' card put through the letter box. My fault I wasn't in at the time. The card had scribbled on it the date and that the item was a parcel. It has a space for the number I need to contact to get it redelivered but it has been left blank. And trying to contact Hermes directly is a waste of time! The number for the company which is on the card goes straight to an automated massage saying go to their website. The website asks for a tracking number to help find the package but apparently the one I have does not exist! After reading all these massages about Hermes I will be avoiding them in the future! And people go on about RoyalMail being a bad service!

I have been waiting for Hermes to deliver a parcel from Pitch TV. Their website says that the delivery number given to me by Pitch TV is invalid and they refuse nto talk to me. Pitch TV promise to find out what is happening and come back to me and they do not. They are both as lousy as each other. I have had problems with Hermes before when a return to NEXT was lost in their system. They refuse to talk to you. What inefficient crooks!

hermes are the worst courier service and dont care if you recieve your parcels or not and i dont understand why cataloque companies use them as they will only loose their customers (clients)in the long run you order a parcel nxt day delivery and your still waiting a week later then the cataloque can only fill out complaint forms to the courier which will take another week or two how pathetic is that hermes needs a big shake up or close ur business for good, hopeless courier service and wont recommend them to anyone from this planet let alone anothor one .. they dont even help cutomers out or there clients ie cataloque whats that all about .why have a head office if they dont do ewt what a waste of a building

This company is rubbish, I ordered some stuff from amazon on the same day, 2 smaller packages made it ok but not the third... I checked tracking and it said they had attempted delivery twice! One of the times was 6:30pm when i knew I had been home. 2nd time was at work. 3rd time was set to be today, so I decided I would sit at home till it arrived. I even put a note on my front door explaining to press doorbell for flat 2 or ring my mobile (i publicly left my number on my front door too). I will explain I do not live in a big block of flats, its just a converted house into 3 flats with a shared front door and hallway. Around 12 I went to take a bag of rubbish out to the front of the house, decided to take sign down while I was out - maybe it was a little passive aggressive to expect them to be unable to figure out flat 2 meant doorbell no 2? But no. I refreshed the tracking at 12:10 and it said attempted delivery at 12:01! There was nobody around outside when I was and I would've heard a doorbell on my way up or down stairs. There is no way they were there. No card left on any delivery attempt. I rang to tell them off and they said tell the retailer. I rang amazon who tried to chase them up. The result was the courier appeared to have their phone off and was uncontactable. They wouldn't give the number of the courier to amazon. I'm sure most drivers aren't this terrible but I find this really is unacceptable to completely lie about attempting delivery. Amazon expects them to redeliver Monday but I'll be at work. Unfortunately when I tried to explain this to Hermes they can't deal with me cuz I have to contact retailer (who I also told I'd be out). As courier hasn't left card I can't tell them I won't be home. So yeh, I'm not feeling very sympathetic to the couriers right now.

I just had my parcel delivered. I dont know who hermes use for courier in Edinburgh but after reading the comments from the workers on how liitle they get paid and how much pressure they are under i tipped the man. I give tips to the the guys that deliver my take away so why not the couriers. The man was so chuffed and said he'd never been tipped the whole time he'd been in this line of work. I probably made his day a bit better. These guys aren't appreciated. Thank you for getting my parcel here.

The sooner this company goes under the better off we will all be. I ordered some real ale back in Feb and we are now into June. Guess what no ale. I have now been sent two separate E mails stating that the beer has been damaged in transit. Yeah right sounds like the staff in the depot had a good night on me. I ordered items of clothing for my holiday from Forever21. 7 days later, still no clothes! I tried to find Hermes number to contact them and came across this site. I am now very conserned. Called Hermes and they said they do not have a customer services line as they only deal directly with their clients. I informed the unhelpful lady of this website and she just repeated herself. Did anyone actually receive their packages?

Just ordered some headphones from play.com, was in on saturday when they should have been delivered, instead get an email from Play saying my money had been refunded as I had refused delivery! I and noone else at my address refused delivery, ther only things I can think are the courier either didnt bother delivering, or tried to deliver to the wrong address. Either way, Play have very kindly deducted £3 from my refund for postage back to them! Ive emailed them stating how unimpressed I am with this decision and got an email back just boiler-plate text saying 'blah blah sorry you didnt get your order blah blah you will be refunded soon blah blah - no mention of the missing headhpones, or the £3. Will phone them tomorrow, dont think Im ever using play again, or anyone else who use this joke of a courier company :*(

USELESS!

Pre paid for collection of a kids toy. Courier decided not to bother collecting but still tell the depot he tried 3 attempts at calling... A huge lack of customer service available! Seems like their only interest is receiving your payment, not delivering goods. You get the service you pay for... That's why it's the cheapest!

Please... Please... Please avoid using this company after all, next time it will be your money... not mine!

if they pay the couriers peanuts they will get monkeys!
but saying that if you order a parcel and u know u are NOT going to wait in for delivery.
then at least have the brains to give the company u are ordering from further delivery instructions
ie prefared am/pm, stated day prefared, neighbour number were can be left(without moans of oooh r they not in again, im fed up of taking parcels in for them), safe place stated if there is one...and if you are left a card with a contact number to rearrange collection then have the manners to call the courier back...all these help ur parcel to arrive without delay...at the end of the day makes life easier for you and the courier, after all the courier is trying there best and is over worked and under payed ...

well, for those "couriers" who seem to blame the customers for the having the cheek of not being in... being at work! i received an email yesterday evening informing me that a hermes driver had delivered my boots... the only problem was.. .he had not! it was "claimed" that he left it in the porch... well we don't have one for a start... plus all my neighbours were in and would have happily signed for a package... and we have a long drive where most proper couriers, if we're not in..hide packages behind the car... no card, no one signed for it... and no boots.. so i rang house of fraser to tell them... they reported the lack of goods to hermes... who rang the driver... who then did not ring them back.. instead, came knocking on my door, scaring my daughters... saying oh i was going to leave it with your neighbour ... but didn't... and i could have left it down your drive... but i didn't! then lied about another box being on our doorstep.. which he hid it behind... well, i have heard a few fairy stories in my time ... but that is the most fantastical... i don't give a monkeys what you earn... i have had some pretty low paid jobs in my life... its no excuse for being dishonest and lazy... if you are going to do a job... do it well... why don't you call the customer in the morning and find out when would be good to deliver... or where would be best to leave it... i had no notification it was coming till it was too late... and frankly it was intimidating having that driver turn up on my door... especially as he could not give a [censor]... never mind he said... yes, never mind i'm [censor] and dishonest...Hermes ..perhaps you should learn if you pay a bit more you'll get better more honest workers ... which will help your business in the long run...
