I purchased property in Heritage Patio Homes in 2004. The roof leaked from onset. Insufficient repairs were made many, many times and the roof continued to leak. After many complaints and many failed attempts to repair, the management company started putting the blame on me. The roof was replace in 2009 but the damage to the interior was immense. Finally, in 2009, I was forced to move out because the mold smell was so strong that it was intolerable. In addition to the roof leaking, the hill above the property was eroding and water run off was directed into my unit resulting in movement of the foundation which caused the concrete slab to sink and walls to crack in most of the residence. Requests to repair this area were refused. I hired an attorney and more than two years into the lawsuit and $20, 000 in attorney fees later, there has been little done to properly repair the roof issues, mold issues, and foundation issues plus repairs to the interior as a result. I have been forced to pay rent, house payments and utility expenses for more than 24 months. I have been informed by my attorney that attorney fees and home owner fees are not reimbursed in these type of cases. This situation has caused many emotional problems that have been so extreme at times, I could not work. There is still no end in site.

Bought a unit in 2009. In that time the units have been repainted, new fencing, new roofs, new soffits and concrete work has been done in areas. The association has been fair and even replaced the drainoffs! If you would of stuck it out, you would of had all these repairs too! Just a reminder.. these homes are prestine condition now!

What is extremely strange is that in 2012 the association has decided to raise monthly fees and not taken into consideration that most of us have not have raises in our jobs and some are on fixed incomes and property values have decreased on all the patio homes, we also had the same problem with a leaking roof and mold and damage that we were told it is not the associations fault..that is a big laugh..now we are dealing with cracking sidewalks and trees that have pushed the walk ways and damaged water lines and forced water towards the homes...it was explained to me that regardless of what the homeowners voted on for the fee.. the board members could vote as they pleased...nice association huh?

You oughta shop around for a better lawyer. Possibly sue this one for malpractice. Get on it.

What is the address of the condo? I have a buyer that has a contract on one.
