Helzberg Diamonds Shops special order ladies ring

i ordered a butterfly ring from my local helzberg in west des moines iowa. it was sterling silver and lab grown emeralds. while pretty it was not what my wife wanted. i tried to sell it back to the store for less than i paid for it, in fact much less. they would not offer me a dime for it. now i find out it was way overpriced as well. i feel as tho i have been robbed. and they are rude also! this was for christmas 2023. if i could even get back 1/2 what i paid i would feel better. i knew i couldn't get all the money back, but to not offer me anything is a real slap in the face. oh and the cost was $785.00

Desired outcome: i would like a reasonable offer for the ring to be returned.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops Engagement ring lost or stolen from store

I would like to share my story, I was proposed to on my birthday June 3, 2022, at the age of 60. My ring was beautiful! It was a little big on me, so I used a ring guard for eight months before deciding to have it resized. On February 1,2023, I took my ring to Helzberg Diamonds, Concord Mills Mall. I had a promised date of February 17, 2023, for return.

On Friday February 17, I called Helzberg Diamonds. I was put on hold for a few minutes only to hear that I would be called back before the store close. That never happened. My Finance’ and I decided to go by Helzberg Diamonds on Saturday February 18. the gentleman, who I found out later is the only male that works in that store told us that they had torn the store up looking for my ring. He went to the back for a few minutes to come back out to tell us that my ring was at the repair shop and to be patient. He asked to give them to Wednesday to get my ring sized properly. We left the store.

On Monday, February 20, I received a call from Helzberg Diamonds. They intended to view the cameras and my ring couldn’t be located. I received multiple calls from two different managers. One told me she called the two repair shops that they deal with, and my ring was not among the jewelry sent out for repair. She asked me to send her pictures of my ring. I only had one picture.

I wasn’t informed what happened to my ring. It was never shared what they found out after viewing of the cameras. I don’t know if they found it or if they are investigating robbery within their company. Perhaps even if the police were called.

March 4, I called Corporate. They committed to providing a check for the value my Finance’ paid for the ring. March 10, I finally received a check from Helzberg Diamonds. I also received a call to pick it up and to have my identification once I arrived. I shared my name. Then the manager went into the vault and asked me to sign for the check. I was never asked for any form of identification.

The check was deposited into my finance’s account. Sadly, I found out on March 11, the identical ring was $2,000.00 more. This has been the most horrible and impactful retail experience in our lifetime. Helzberg Diamonds Inc. negligence was horrific in every shape, form or fashion.

We have emailed Helzberg Diamonds Inc. to inform them of our disappointment, stress, anxiety, mental anguish this situation has caused. We haven’t heard from them.

I decided to share this storied account, in hopes that my experience might help someone else. I am certain someone might have experienced a similar negative retail situation. Helzberg Diamonds must work to improve their company protocol’s and enhance their ability to provide far better customer service care.

For the sake of disappointment and transparency, we are currently in consultation with a prominent law firm to explore any legal options/damages.

Desired outcome: Pay us more for what the same exact engagement ring is valued at today with compensation for our horrible experience

Helzberg Diamonds Shops Poor quality ring

So I financed my wife a ring from the location in the Keller area (Presidio shopping center on Tehama Ridge). Within the year and a half the she owned the ring, she has had to turn it in 4 times due to diamonds falling out. This last time, they admit that there is a flaw in the ring. The store manager, Irene told her that she can pick out a new ring. My wife doesn't want to have anything from them since it's poor quality by their own admission. They refuse to give us back the money we have spent and cancel the financing, which is the right thing to do. Their excuse it that my wife "had" the ring for a year and a half. Nevermind the fact that 9 months of that time was spent getting the ring repaired. Irene lied about having spoken to the constomer service rep that handled the case. She also lied about having listened to the call. (Changed her story to reading the notes). Irene literally told her to pick out something of equal or more value. If this is how they handle having a poorly made item, no one should ever do business with them again.

Desired outcome: Refund of the money spent and cancel the financing.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops Not wanting to honor my life time warranty on the bangle i bought

1/7/2023 i went to pick up the gold bangle that had been sent for repair. Me and my fiancé were told by the manager ( very rudely) that they were going to do this as a one time replacement. That if the bangle still functioned even though it was dented, they could not be doing these types of replacements again. in other words they said there would be no more honoring our life time warranty which is very confusing because they specifically said when we first bought the warranty that it was for these types of things like dents and such so this was the very reason i got the warranty. I almost want to just ask for the money back for the warranty i doubt they would do so. the shop was the one in the Moreno valley mall and for any future purchases we were always going to trust Helzberg but no longer.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and for them to honor the life time warranty or refund the money for the warranty and they wont ever hear of us again

Helzberg Diamonds Shops Lab grown diamond 2.1 karats

We were told by our sales person that they would ship our diamond to us and have a 30 day return policy. As soon as I finally received my ring I took it to have it appraised. I thought for Ins purposes. However I got the appraised value at 5300. I paid 12,400. I immediately called the store. The sales person was very rude to me and said I could not return the ring and he didn’t tell me we could. My husband and I both heard him. He called me a liar. I have filed a complaint with customer service and it has been weeks. I call back and get the same story that someone will call me. I have been customer for over 15 years and spent thousands and I am not important enough for a call.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops Employment and unfair treatment

Initially I was very excited to work for Helzberg. As an outsider looking in the company has a great reputation. It’s a Berkshire Hathaway company and at the time was a member of the American Gem Society. This image is not a reflection of how this company truly functions. From the very first day I was treated as if I had a learning disability or was not up to standards because I came from a competitor. Everything I said and did was completely micromanaged. I have several jewelry accreditation’s and was fully trained and very knowledgeable of the industry when Helzberg hired me. I had 10 prior years experience. I let the disrespect go because I assumed they wanted to train me their way, which I was open to, but the disrespect continued throughout my entire employment with Helzberg. In all I worked for this dreaded company for 4 years. The straw that made me leave was the appearance of an absolutely psychotic Assistant manager who, came to work high as a kite, smoked THC vapes in the back room, she was also on a pharmacy of prescription drugs that she misused. Due to her pharmaceutical intake her moods were irrational and she was unpredictable. She was a bully and I almost had a nervous breakdown because of her. She would use racial slurs and have inappropriate conversations with our male store manager. HR was notified which made the situation off the charts awful. She would scream at us, steal our sales, curse and it became unbearable. I quit without notice. Helzberg really needs to stop allowing this behavior. I’m flabbergasted that this behavior was allowed. I literally told my store manager I was going to have a heart attack if the harassment from the assistant manager didn’t stop. He ignored me.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops worse customer service, no return

Hi guys:

don't buy from this store if you may like to return. My niece gave me a watch as a present on my birthday and she handled me the receipt to return if i don't like. I went with the same gift rapping intact and proper package in the 30 days return window and they were very hostile to me and didn't allow me to return the watch. worse customer service. AMAZON owned the world by it's return easily policy.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops billing

i purchased two rings a wedding band and engagement ring from Helzberg diamonds. they were offering an 18 month no interest. The first ring was purchased in jan of 21 the second was June of 21 the interest free was for both purchases the first purchase was 18 months the second was 6 months. i had an outstanding balance last month of about 160. i received a bill for 1253 today stating they are charging interest from day one because there was an existing balance. so, my bill went from under 200 to 1200 on a technicality. i called them and they said there is nothing they can do. This a robbery what they are trying to do to me, in fact when i purchased the rings i was going to pay cash for the rings and they pushed heavily on using their interest free credit card it is very obvious why they did this.

The other issue that is concerning, is that i purchased the two rings on separate dates. Technically the first ring was paid off within their parameters however Im being charged 29 percent interest from day one.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops Watch

On May 29, 2022 I saw a secondhand Rolex that I fell in love with, they told me it was a 1998, Real Rolex the only thing that was aftermarket was the diamonds. It was a final sale. But Rolexes are supposed to last a lifetime even beyond right? It broke within four days. The company says that they’re willing to give me another watch it’s a secondhand how do they have a bunch of the secondhand watches on hand? Makes no sense which scared me. So I said no thank you I would much rather just have my money back and buy a brand new one so I don’t have to deal with this headache. I was then told no you cannot have your money back.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops customer service

I need a new lifetime inspection card sent to me however I was told since our wedding rings were purchased in 1986 (in Iowa) your record do not go back that far so there is no proof we purchased the rings there? What is the point of offering a life time guarantee if you don't keep track of your customer purchases? My husband and I are going on our 31st anniversary this October and have moved several times over the years and have lost track of a piece of paper that I was assuming we could get a copy of from Helzberg! What can you do to help me out? We have been loyal customers since 1986! Please help! All I need is a new inspection card, I just had my rings cleaned and checked and everything if good with them. I just don't want to have any problems in the future!

Store Located at NE Mall, Hurst, Texas. Bought 1ct ring and nose stud. Approx value $3500. Promised to give me on my event day but failed. After stern follow up, they able to provide ring but nose stud still delayed. Its almost four weeks now. When I asked the store manager, they should have courtesy to call customer and update about it but none did. So lousy sales management. I am so done with it. No honor, No commitment towards customer.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops engagement ring and two bands

I have been waiting for my wedding and engagement ring for five weeks now. I sent it in to be soldered and cleaned and they handed it back after two weeks with two diamonds missing. The response to that was oh yeah that happens! Now its been three weeks and they are saying its because their jeweler had a heart attack... What jewelry store does not have a back up to their jeweler! Gene the manager just laughed like a complete [censor] when I told him how completely inexcusable this service has been. He told me that my rings are with another helzberg jeweler and unfortunately there is no priority. But I was now getting superior quality service! This company is a complete disaster and a joke. Several diamonds have fallen from my ring. Their service is slow and now they just sit back with your belongings and act like its funny. Dont shop here save yourself the trouble.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops poor customer service

I'm writing in regarding to an associate I encountered today at one of your locations, Potomac Mills Woodbridge VA. Christopher Hernandez was the sales associate that assisted me then insulted me. The Asst Manager was no help at all as well. Christopher Hernandez has no manners and has no respect for customers. He told me not to buy the jewelry after he realized I disagreed on what he was saying. He said ‘then dont buy it' then later told me ‘I dont want to hear your complaint'. Note that the reason why we had a disagreement to begin with was his fault calculating incorrectly and he was not apologetic at all. He had no manners at all. He treated me, a paying customer with disrespect. I already let his side comments slide since I really wanted to buy the items. But after the way I was treated I realized I will never give my business to this location or company ever. The Assistant manager witnessed our unfortunate encounter and did not apologize once for his staffs behavior. I will call and get his name. I am very very disappointed with how I was treated at this store. He is giving Helzberg a very bad name. He definitely needs customer service training. I've been in the business myself and have never treated any of my customers with disrespect he's shown me. Your company will go out of business with associates like him.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops 1ct. rd. diamond bypass bracelet

I purchased this bracelet June 18th 2017 presented it as a bday gift to my mother August 16th 2017 after two months of wear it fell off her wrist and she almost lost it. She was upset and had to let me know and I told her don't worry I'll take a look at it and try to fix it or exchange it for a knew one. I brought it back to my store which I have been employed for three years now. I also brought it to my asst. managers attention and he saw that it looked like a manufacturer defect not made well very thin in the spot it broke so he exchanged it for a knew one and was sending the one that broke back to our Corp. office . A little over a week passes and my manager decides to call me in the back room and ask me why I didn't ask her permission and that I had know business doing it on a day when she wasn't there and that I intensionally did something wrong and against company policy which I took offense by and continued to try and make me sign a paper against my will. I refused and she also insisted that I paid to fix the broken one or buy the lifetime warranty in order to replace this gift that I bought for my mother. I refused to deal with such a horrible manager and under direst I handed her my keys and walked out. I have never been treated so horrible as a co-worker 30 years in jewelry and now I know how every customer feels when we do not properly take care of a problem to the best of our ability. This company does not hold the correct people responsible for misconduct and inappropriate outburst in a store atmosphere. They do not practice what they preach. This is not a company that abides by ethics and integrity by know means. Helzberg is one of the worst companies I have ever worked for and good luck to all who are dealing with anything close to what I have just had handed to me.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops my necklace repair

To Whom it May Concern:

My name is Alyssa Frusci, I was in Helzberg in Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City, NY to make a purchase on a cross and to drop of my chain to my necklace which broke to be repaired. This was back on May 20th 2017. My necklace was bought around Valentine's Day by my boyfriend Michael Susi. I have a warranty on the necklace and brought the warranty in with the necklace and I was told to leave a deposit and that my necklace should take around 2 weeks to be fixed. I let sometime pass and quite honestly forgot and followed back up 2 weeks ago from today and called the store manager(I don't remember her name). I don't have my receipt anymore and told her that and told her I had a necklace for repairs in the store. I gave her my boyfriends name which is Michael Susi. The repair is under his name. I was then told my necklace was not ready and that I would receive a call back. I never received a call back. I visited the store again on Wednesday and spoke to a man and woman and forgot their name as well. They showed me the necklace and the necklace was still not done. I was told I was going to receive another call yesterday, 24 August 2017 and never received a call again. I am VERY UPSET with the customer service and upset that my necklace is not yet repaired after 3 months with no call backs and answers and no necklace! I am personally in the customer service field and would never treat my customers like this and don't think this is fair and a very easy way to loose your customers. Helzberg Diamonds Shops didn't receive account statement/payment info for 8 months / capital one agreement deceitful

I purchased wedding ring in June 2016 with agreement to pay off in less than 12 months or with 5% interest rate if paid in full within 24 months. In August 2015 I still hadn't received a statement from Capital One so I went to store to inquire of payment info and store was unable to give any information. Finally received letter 8 months later from collection agency but never received any info for making monthly payments from Capital One. Spoke with collection agency 3 times and was given 8 months to pay off original "loan" with Helzberg/Capital One (with higher interest rate of course). Told representative that I needed an agreement in writing since was never given any written information before now. Still waiting for written correspondence from Capital One. I am really disappointed with the entire transaction. I just want to be treated fairly as I am sure this may affect my credit report.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops assistant manager

I decided that I was going to go get my girlfriend an engagement ring. I found one that I absolutely loved. I asked the assistant manager multiple times and by multiple times I mean like at least 8 times, how much the payments would be each month and the assistant manager kept telling me that the payments would only be $25 to $50 a month. He completely lied to me. The payments for one of the loans is $100 a month and I have called him and he told me to contact the credit card company and they keep telling me that there isn't anything that they can do. I have no idea how much the other loan payment is because I haven't gotten any information about it from them and Helzberg won't tell me anything. What makes this even worse is that my girlfriend found the ring and she is so in love with it, but now I have to tell her that I have to take it back because I can't afford the payments. Next time you try and completely screw someone over make sure that it doesn't involve such a huge moment in somebody's life.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops bad customer service

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I'm not sure if we came on a bad day, but the lady that waited on us was the rudest sales person I have EVER met! One of my girlfriends had just gotten engaged, and wanted to get sized, since her new engagement ring was too small. She explained to the saleslady that she just wanted to check her size because she was pretty sure she was a 6 and her fiance thought she was a 5, and with being pregnant, she just wasn't sure anymore. The saleslady then, very disrespectfully, asked why they didn't get her sized when he bought the ring at the other store. Keeping quite calm, we replied that my girlfriend was not with her now fiance when he bought the ring, hence the mix-up. Again, the unpleasant saleslady replied nastily, asking why we didn't just go back to the place her fiance bought the ring to get sized. At this point, needless to say, we were all pretty fed up with her patronizing remarks, but again replied that the other store had just closed, and that she was just curious of the correct sizing. The saleslady FINALLY, but still reluctantly grabbed out the sizing rings and began the process. This wasted about 5-10 minutes of our time with her unprofessionally procrastinating before we received anything besides nasty remarks. After the sizing, we left that place knowing that none of us would EVER buy from Helzberg in the future because of this incident. A couple of days later, my girlfriend went to double check on the saleslady's sizing, because she was so rude and obviously untrustworthy, and it turned out she sized her WRONG! The saleslady at Helzberg sized her at a 6.5, where she is really a 5.5 - 6. This could've been a mistake or oversight on behalf of the testy saleslady, but with how snide she acted, I wouldn't put it past her for that 'oversight' to have been completely ill willed.

Helzberg Diamonds Shops did not honor warranty

I had my heirloom wedding ring, that was passed down to me from my late father and mother, repaired at Helzberg Diamonds. We went to Helzberg Diamonds because we thought they were a reputable company but boy was I wrong. I only wore my wedding ring for a week and a half, after the repair, and one of my side diamonds fell out. They refused to fix my wedding ring although it was under warranty from the repair. I am very upset and disappointed. I feel I would still have my diamond if the jeweler never tampered with it. I called the corporate office and they told me that the ring should be covered under warranty and needs to be repaired. After waiting a week, the store finally got back to me and said they would not repair the ring and replace the diamond. They offered me a "discounted" diamond which I refused. I was very upset they had the nerve to ask for even more money from me after what I had endured... I wish I would have never went to Helzberg Diamonds. Please take your business else ware because you will be scammed. I wish I would have done more research. On the BBB website I was not the only one scammed by Helzberg.. I really wish I would have done the research prior to giving them business.

I ordered a monagrammed piece in early December.I was told by the store manager that I would get it by Xmas and that they would call me when it was ready.

Never received a call so called the Woodbridge, NJ store two days before Xmas and they said it was ready. When I picked it up it was monogrammed wrong. They said they would send it back and I would get it in two weeks.

After four weeks and having not received a call, I stopped by the Woodbridge, NJ to ask if my necklace was ready and was told "no." I asked for my money back and they reimbursed me.Will never shop in this store again!

Helzberg Diamonds Shops Manager Eboni

In November my husband purchased a twenty year anniversary ring for me. We returned the ring for a more expensive ring that was initially charged to my debit card until he came in the next day and returned it so that it would be charged to his account instead of my debit card. This was supposed to be the end of the transaction. HOWEVER, Helzberg's brilliant store manager decided to charge my debit card twice more for the ring! My bank handled the case and the money was returned to my account. It was supposedly settled until 2 days ago when the same store charged my debit card 522.92 AGAIN! I am so upset I could scream. Now I have to go through all of this again to get it resolved once more. NEVER sop there unless you want to be ripped off, disappointed and frustrated beyond belief. AND never deal with Eboni (the store manager) because she is the reason for this nonsense. She does not have a clue what she is doing.
