We live in California and bought a purebred Siberian husky from harley paws 2yr ago, when we got him he had a double ear infection caused by yeast and a yeast infection on is genital he full of ticks and flees, under weight, had giardia, and coward in fear of everyone. We wrote a letter of how we were not happy about his condition, we never heard from them again. The funny thing is theY had their vet clear him as medically health so he could be sent, the vet said he was 100% healthy we took him to our vet as soon as he got off the plan and he had all the above things wrong with him.So we heard nothing back from them, we took care of him and he got better and now is a happy health dog since then, except we went to get his eyes and hip checked in the last month and now have found out he has congenital eye cataracts in both eyes and genetic hip dysplasia with is painful and is very bad on his health. So in sort they are breeding unhealthy dog with eye cataracts and hip dysplasia.

Harleys Paws is an unethical breeder that claims to be breeding the highest quality show and pet puppies when in fact they are STILL 2 years after the last comment breeding a non-purebred Merle Siberian Husky named Twister. The Merle Gene is NOT naturally occurring in the Siberian Husky, which means in order to get the merle pattern in a Siberian Husky a breed of dog carrying the gene (likely Australian Shepherd) was introduced into the lines. This can be proven by the fact the ### (female dog) has only a "Conditional Registration". They are continuing to falsely register these mixes as Piebalds and sell them to unsuspecting buyers as a 'rare' color. They do not health test their lines, and the sad proof is the first comment on this page, nor do they know the harm the merle gene can bring to the breed. When you double up on the merle gene you produce deaf and blind puppies and this breeder didn't even know or acknowledge this known fact. The worst part is it is the dogs that pay the price. They never asked to be brought into this world sick and unsound by a breeder that obviously only cares for getting your money and cares nothing for the breed she claims she loves. Find a breeder that does something beyond breed their dogs, that does do OFA/CERF testing on all of their breeding stock, and is breeding to better the breed we cherish and for no other reasons.

Harley Paws is also currently breeding non purebred Siberian Huskies. Their Female Twister is clearly a Merle and the color isn't accepted by the AKC or the Siberian Husky Club of America. A Huge Red Flag for buyers is they don't allow visitors in their home or allow anyone in the kennels where the dogs are housed. On the website there is no clear sign the breeding pairs have been tested for genetic defects. Having 7-8 litters a year seems a lot and could be considered a puppymill. Be careful of this Breeder and find someone that is willing to allow you inside their home and has no problem showing paperwork that their dogs have been genetically tested. And make sure the breeder has a solid contract one that is valid longer than 2 years.
