What a load of rubbish!!! I hope no-one has been conned by this scam by giving their bank details that was the give away for me. They told me I would receive a Big cheque and yet they required my bank details. No chance something should be done about these fraudsters!!! I work too hard to throw my money away!

I have received exactly the same letter from Hamilton Moore and Associates... Final notice, I have 'won' £490k, linked to a jewellery promotion etc. All I have to do is send them some money and my credit card details. Good idea!!

Can no-one in Canada prosecure these people? Whom do we have to tell to start proceedings?

My 83yr old father received this letter awarding him £490, 000 and he was clearly delighted as he thought it was his lucky day. Godd job he showed it to me, and as I pointed out to him if everyone sent them £19 they were going to make masses of money.
These people should be proscecuted, because if some unsuspecting people foward their bank details or card details they are wide open to massive fraud.
CLOSE THEM DOWN AND LOCK THEM UP.

I also received a letter teling me i was a sole recipient of £490, 000 cheque. Decided to check up on the company first, as in England, saw all the complaints, thanks.

I just got exact same letter saying I was sole winner of £490.000 - company from Canada (Hamilton Moore & Associates) - first you can't win if you don't enter which I havent - and second they ask for money from you to secure your win ??? - not that gullible I am afraid mate but I am worried for those who might be tempted to go for this? BE WARNED!

I too recieved the letter stating ai have won the money. Initially I was tempted but on checking their address on the internent I am advised differently. Maybe we could collectively sue their balls off. Conversely the govt can take action.

I got a letter today telling me I am the sole recipient of £49, 000.00 and telling me I would also get pearl earings. Can't we do something about these stupid scammers?? I work in a low payed job and £49, 000.00 would be very handy to me. As for sending them£19.95, they could just deduct that from my cheque and send the remaining via cheque to me to put in my own bank account. However these individuals seem to have done their geographical resurch as I live in Tonypandy and this area is extreamly poor. Please do not send your bank details they will rob you.

I am not easily fooled at age 73. I am posting it back to them asking that they take the £19.95 they say they require out of the cheque for £49000 they say they will send me.

I was tempted to say "pull the other one, it has got bells on it"

Jean.

Sorry to say this but - are people really stupid enough to fall for this tranparant scam??? What ever happened to common sense and the saying that if something looks too good to be true then it usually is ???

These people should be stopped and the Law should deal with them as fully and ruthlessly as possible, or else they should be made to face the people they have conned and see what happens.

Yes I too received correspondence today 19/06/08, yet another SOLE RECIPIENT of their £490, 000, absolutely disgraceful that this is allowed at all. It does sound convincing and those who proceed with sending them the £19.95 can be forgiven, not everyone is alert to these fraudsters.

I was tempted today until I read the comments on this site.

Knowing they hadn't ever contacted me before and are giving me £490, 000, 00. I don't think so.

They are not contactable by phone, or by email.

And they send me an urgent letter by first class post thru' a UK agency.

I just might turn up on their doorstep...

As with all of the others mentioned above, i got the same letter saying they were sending me a cheque for £490, 000.00 if I sent them £19.95 for some pearl earings. I could not believe this was true as I have never heard from this firm in my life. Luckily I work in a solicitors office and got it checked out by a Partner in our Litigation Department who told me it was a scam.

Something should be done about this legally. It is a disgrace. The Police should find them and put them away for life!!

I am afraid I recieved the letter two weeks ago and fell for it hook line and sinker, I know what you are thinking i.e what an idiot. However my finances are not too great at the moment, you could say i fell for it out of desperation. Please Anyone who knows a way of stopping these criminal gits let me know there must be a way. Oh I did get some earings though lol what a joke

got mine today for 500.000 bit too long in the tooth to fall for this sort of scam. don, t enter your details for any thing on any form unless signing on dole and then only for the last resort.these morons should be caught and prosecuted to the fullest and if all family involved then prosecute the entire family, let the theiving bast--ds do a spot of jail time, but l bet it wouldn, t put the theiving scum off doing it again when they get out after a 2 week break paid for with our hard cash again.
