I have the same bad experience there at the salon. I bought a voucher from deal.com, which is too tone highlighting, treatment and haircut. I called in 4 hours before my appointment. After work, in jurong, I went there. When I reach there, Rick told me that my hair is not suitable to do two tone highlighting, because my hair was half dyed. So he recommended me to have a full colour first and then highlight, which cost $180. I told him no thanks it’s out of my budget. So he said OK. He asked me to choose two colours. After choosing, he told me that for a director’s haircut, I have to top up $20 more. I told him I don’t want a director to cut my hair, I just want a normal hairstylist. Then he said that all of them there are directors. (there were 3 of them. I don’t believe they are all directors.) he added that th let normal hairstylists are all on leave. So I told him that it’s not my fault that there isn’t any normal hairstylists available on that day, why do I have to pay for it? I also said to him that if there isn’t any hairstylist on that day, why didn’t he tell me earlier when I called 4 hours ago?
Then he said that if I don’t want a director to cut them I should come another day. I told him that that would be a waste of time because I came there all the way from jurong till there (somerset), and then now I have to go home because there isn’t any normal hairstylist? He said, yea, what to do, you don’t want to pay.. So I told him “it’s OK, I’ll go home now. ” And stomp out of the door.
I called deal.com right after that and complain about this. They listened to me and ask me to write an email about this to them. I did it and added that I am not gonna go to that salon anymore and that I need a refund. . The next day they replied me that there is nothing they can do and they can’t even refund me at all. They only asked me to go there again when there is a hairstylist there.
I’m sure the salon already know about my complaint. Do you think I wanna come back there? What will they do to my hair then?
So anyone who wants to go there for a hairdo, better think about it.

I should have done my homework here first... He wanted me to pay $78 for his hair cut! I told him no thanks! Went ahead with perm but... Throughout he asked the shampoo boy attend and practice on me... I paid close to a hundred for him to practice I must as well go to those hair academy who will charge me $10-$20 and the principal will touch up at the end of the session! The treatment he gave me was the " do it at home!" Sachet treatment ten mins to leave on and wash away...(guessed the treatment was a sample packet). I should have stood outside his salon to show others this renowned hair stylist creation!

Extremely unprofessional and rude. Initially when he doesn't know (I've told his staff that I've bought the groupon - no tea served) he was ok. Subsequently, tried to hardsell me his package and turned nasty when he realised I've bought groupon. Asked me not to return if I only wanna buy the groupon. Very rude. Worst customer service ever

I had the same experience! Bought a groupon for highlights and was told that it was not applicable for what I wanted and they charged me an extra $90. Then they botched my hair (looks incredibly orange now) and the owner, Rick, was quite rude. Do not go there!

The same thing happened to me as I bought the voucher for highlight, haircut and treatment. I was asked to top up for $50 if I wanted Rick Ho to cut my hair and an additional $80 to bleach my hair before highlighting it. I declined. The hairdresser who attended to me was rude, racist and unprofessional. I have curly hair and I'm proud of it. The hairdresser tried to persuade me to straighten my thick and curly hair (so that it is easier for him to cut my hair) and commented that I will look pretty like my friend with rebonded hair. I refused to do so. So according to him, I can only be pretty with curly hair. He obviously did not know how to handle curly hair and kept saying that my hair is frizzy. I know it is and it was very hurting. Any good hairdresser knows that he or she should use hair styling products before blow drying curly hair. But this hairdresser blew dried my hair completely and my hair and made it cover my face. He even had the cheek to sarcastically tell my friend that my hair looks nice when it frizzy and was covering my face. After that, he used very little oil for my thick hair and was about to let me leave the salon with my hair all frizzy looking. I asked him for some hair mousse for my hair and he gave some excuse for it. By this time, I was really mad and tied my hair up by myself. I have never felt this insulted and racially marginalized in my life. Hope some action is taken against this salon.

Yes, fully agreed... Shouldnt let this company advertise on their website. It a ''hei dian''. I went for my appointment for the highlight. but was ask to dye my hair before highlight at first the stylist say $69.00 and keep pushing... finally I agree to do the base colour.
The colour turn out to be only base colour with single highlight. worse of all is they charge me $159.00 for my base colour excluding the payment i make online for the voucher for the highlighting. Since it had been done, making me no choice but to pay and go... I feel they are cheating me. So i went home to check their website and pricelist... to my surprise the highest charges only $149.00 for colouring services. surely my hair won't be the highest charges.
All i can say is they are cheating...

Yes I agree with you about his FILTHY attitude! No respect to customers at all! He thinks he is so great. He doesn't even have many customers coming to his salon! All thanks to his horrible personality! I just had a colleague telling me that she went to his salon before and he accused her of cheating when her voucher couldnt be redeemed (there was some technical issues). She is never gonna go to that salon anymore! I saw that there is a lot of advertisements on two tone highlighting from this salon everywhere! Qoo10, deal.com, street deals, etc... I hope these discount companies would stop him from advertising his deals! Cuz people who buy them will definitely regret! PEOPLE, PLEASE DON'T BUY ANY VOUCHERS FROM THIS SALON "HAIR SALON BY RICK HO" (CONCORDE HOTEL). YOU'RE JUST GONNA WASTED YOU'RE MONEY AND GET DISAPPOINTED.
