Their website states: "To win an auction, you need to be the highest bidder when the clock reaches zero."
Each time someone bids they add 2 minutes to the 'bid clock', meaning your auction can go on until the site reaches the price they want to sell the product for. The costs they state the product's original cost is inflated, making you feel like you 'really won' a valued product- if you ever do win!
This website is based on the Swoopo concept and I wonder if they are not a partner company. Before you bid on anything here, please take the time to monitor the website for an hour or so to see how they operate!

| I work for Haggle. We're in no way related to Swoopo, and we don't do anything to set prices for the auctions - the auctions end when there are no more bidders, simple as that. For more details, please see our FAQ here: http://www.haggle.com/Home/Help. |

| Haggle.com is legit. The only problem is that there are a number of inside bidders who work for Haggle which drive up the price on some of the auctions. If you study the site for a while, it's amazing how many sniper bidders will come in to multiple auctions, bid a few times, sometimes many, than bail to the next. Also, the new bidders are obvious to veteran bidders and will get crushed. |

We absolutely do not use any inside bidders or other mechanism to drive up the prices, and we have limits on winning that ensure even new bidders have plenty of opportunities to win. |

| I wish I had checked this site out first, because they took me for $150 and got nothing in return. Dont make the mistake I did. |

I work for Haggle, which is owned by Infospace.com, a public company regulated by the SEC.
Haggle.com is a competitive shopping site, also known as a penny auction site. Bids are paid up front, and it costs money to bid, which is why the prices can often be much lower than Ebay.
We work very hard to describe clearly how all of it works up front, before anyone spends any money. Please see our FAQ and How it Works pages before bidding. We give one free bid and we require people to agree that they have read these pages prior to bidding - our intent is to provide a fun way to compete for deals for those who enjoy it and, for those who don't, to provide information up front so that they can shop elsewhere:

We also have a vibrant community that shares tips and strategies:

The competitive shopping at Haggle.com is not for everyone. Just like some people enjoy camping out for Black Friday sales after Thanksgiving, some people enjoy Haggle tremendously. Please read the materials and make sure it's for you before bidding. |

All of these blogs are polluted with these stupid employees of Haggle. If your website is so "legit" and fair, then why have they paid for your time to be spent searching the web for these blogs and try to avoid any truth leaking out about your ridiculous website to people? Why is ther a need for a defense at all? The site speaks for itself-Poorly. And look at the way the website is made and the user names. Look at all of it-because its made to make you feel a certain way with directional interpretation.
How about your website has caused these complaints. Fix the issues and you wont have to "blog" for a living. You think that people are going to listen to an employee? you work for the companty. Of course your going to defend it. Wow...
People- Dont ever use this website. Have you ever heard the expression when somehting seems to good to be true-then it probably is?" They want to hook you and drive up the price for a long enough time that you invest too much to back down. Steer clear of this retarded scheme. Please-don be stupid.
And dont listen to ther stupid argument to this post, because its all a bunch of mumbo jumbo to keep you fooled. Think about it. |

As for trolling the blogs... We use an alert, as most public companies do, so we get emailed as items about us popup on the web. We do that in case people, sometimes unscrupulous competitors, post false information about us, as here. Tens of thousands of people enjoy the website daily, and we're proud of the product and information we provide. |

| you rip ppl off. You mark up prices so they feel like they get a deal. You also make sure no one actually gets a deal. Dont anyone use this website--they will attempt to reel you in and rip you off. Use Ebay.com instead. Its was bettert in everyway and you have a much better chance of actyuallyt getting a deal on ther. |

If you guys provide such a fun place to get products and if its so fair, then why are ther so many complaints on the web about you?? One person didnt even recieve what they had paid for...Instead of adressing what you see ass future customers and trying to convince them you provide a "fun" way to buy products-why dont you guys adress the unsatisfied custommers first and eliminate the need for them to strt these blogs and complain in the fist place??
Oh yea-because then you wouldnt be able to make as much money as you do. Guess thats out of the question...USE EBAY PPL!!1 |

Haggle does adjust the final price of the auctions or use any means to drive prices. The auctions end when there are more bidders and the clock reaches zero, simple as that.
We have many thousands of satisfied users. With any company, there are a few unsatisfied users. We do what we can to help them as much as possible when they write us at support[at]haggle[dot][com]. When you search for Ebay on this site, there are a lot of complaints. Same for Walmart, Best Buy, Target, etc. Unfortunately, no matter how great the company, some people, often competitors, post complaints. We respond to them when, as here, their false. When people raise issues to our support line, we provide excellent customer service that is routinely recognized as outstanding by our users. |

yo give it a resy haggle-no one lieks you and evertime ya'll post things on here it sounjds ridiculous and repetitive. All your saying is the same things over and over and over. Bottom line-fix your site so its fair and not all a scheme to get money outta ppl and you wont have to come on here and defend it.
Your site speaks for itself-poorly. |

| and please explain-in depth how its physically possible for the same bidder to place boids on multiple items "within a second". Because it takes more then a second to even scroll over the bid button. Pls explain ASAp how you defy the laws of the universe in speed and technologically. |

GoOutsidePls: Please contact us at customer support so that we can help resolve whatever issue you might be experiencing.
To click bid, you click the mouse without moving it, which can be done quite quickly. |

| Haggle and all other such "cheap" bidding sites are a scam. They are not at all honest about the true cost of bidding. I bought two items and they combined the shipping even though I paid shipping charges for both. That may make good business sense. But then for another item, looks like they waited to ship to see if I can be suckered into buying something else so they can combine shipping. An item I bought on Ebay at a later date arrived from Hongkong way before Haggle's item, and it was free shipping !!! |

| Why do you try to trick people? To make money? If not where is your office address? I am going to take this case to every form that I find. And the rest off you pple do the same as well!!! Guess your company will not last long after That! Scammers! |
|

| Haggle is without a doubt a scam site! Ripping people off right and left and down the middle! It defies the laws of physics to be able to react as quickly as it would be required to make some of the bids I've seen made. If you complain to their customer service they will react quickly but only to passify you with some more free bids that you will undoubtedly lose on something you would like to have but can't get because their "plants' drive the prices up and bid, bid, bid until you've run out. Just watch and auction or two on a popular item and it will be obvious to you as well. DON'T USE HAGGLE!! |

There is a scam here, plain and simple.
Have you guys been investigated by the FTC? What's to stop you from having "secret bidders" stop or alter auctions?
I personally have been right there with bids, and have been beaten countless of times, flat out, although it was clear I won the bid...
You take money for the bids, pocket those earnings, then rig the auctions to make it more difficult (or even impossible) for one to win. On top of that, you classify a "beginner" auction from an "intermediate" auction depriving and "tunneling" individuals into the arena's of your discretion.
This is very suspicious... I think a forensic audit is in order.
I sincerely hope this investigation find you innocent of any fraud...for your sake.
Sincerely,
James Keenan
