RainSoft money paid system not fixed

Paid $500 to have system serviced/repaired. Not repaired, still have bad water. This began aug 1, 2013, still not repaired. Rainsoft decided they would test the water, sent water test, just for us to see we would have to pay another 100 to send it back. Rainsoft never returned our calls after that.

We have had the system since we owned our home, over 10 yrs. The system was upgraded and eventually rainsoft lost the service tech in this area. Finally recently they hired one only to have him take 500$ from us and not fix/service the system. We were scheduled for another rainsoft tech/owner to come out today, just found out he isn't coming. Rainsoft being very evasive and am very disappointed. I took pics and tried to assist in everyday a customer could when they didn't have anyone in the area to help us. This military family deserves clean water! This horror story began aug 1, 2013...please help

RainSoft rude, pushy product pusher

Wow...seems like I dodged a bullet. I, too did the Home Depot sweepstakes thing & was contacted to have a water test done. I cannot bring myself to label the individual a "Salesman" because he became rude & pushy when I had the nerve to make a couple of copies (i have a small copier in my home) of two pages from his sight seller, question some of the assertions he made without supporting data, and the final straw was when he insisted on talking over me, interrupting me in mid sentence numerous times. I also wanted to research the claims he was making regarding the info on the pages I copied. I don't think their pressure-tactic-training prepared him for a prospect making copies of this presentation material. So, the product-pusher is becoming more & more agitated because I'm not rolling over due to his typical FUD (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt) presentation, and he's particularly unhappy because my wife was unable to join us due to unexpected family issues. Because of that, the product-pusher couldn't roll out the "Divide & Conquer" part of the push, where the sold spouse engages in conflict with the reluctant spouse in front of a stranger, believing that they "need" the product. It's just greasy-slick marketing. I insisted on the water test, and I think he went out of his way to make a mess, getting water on the kitchen counter & floor, and then not even OFFERING to wipe it dry!

RainSoft aggressive/hostile salesman

A man by the name of Dan from Rainsoft of Indianapolis came to my home and made a pitch for his water treatment system for my mother and I. When I asked for more time to think about his offer he became hostile and verbally aggressive. When we decided to cancel his service in an outrage he verbally assaulted me by calling me names and made fun of me for living with my mother of whom I take care of. Upset my mother had to get up and leave the room. He continued his insults until our conversation came to an abrupt end.

RainSoft a water softener we did not need

we moved into south carolina.we got called by water specialists.they told me.that they were running a survey by our local water company.they told me.that all i had to do was to answer some questions about the quality of our water.so i took the survey.then the person who gave the survey.well, they told me.that i won a consultation with a man and woman.that all me and my husband had to do was to set up the appointment with them.to listen to their talk about the rainsoft water softener.well, we set up the appointment with them.they made their rainsoft water softener product.look like a good deal.they even promised.that if we bought the above water softener.that we could go into their program for a free rainsoft water softener.if we could find them two more customers.well, we spoke to some of our new neighbors.well, they said no.we were then stuck with a $5, ooo.oo loan on the above water softener by rainsoft.now it is four year later.the service on the water softener was not bad.we did have a recent service call on it.rainsoft was very good on that part of servicing the above rainsoft softener.yet the way.that rainsoft water specialists went out lying about who they were.that angered my husband and i a lot.we had just moved nine hours away from our growing up home to down into the southern united states.only to get taken advantage of.it hurt us a great deal financially.we were already carrying one moving loan.when we moved down here.we just wanted to leave our growing up home up north.last spring 2011.i decided to call our water company.the nice lady.i spoke to.she told me.that they never run contests.like water specialists of columbia rainsoft did.so i do hope that.at least this might help somebody.to at least give some thought.to not buying something.you do not need in your home.no matter how much.a bait and switch tactic might be offered.i do hope that rainsoft water specialists of columbia south carolina might consider being a bit more honest with edgefield water company customers.very sad indeed.when we moved.my husband took a pay cut.just to get out of our area and move.very sad indeed

RainSoft sales

FROM an X- employee Here's the deal - yes of course they are salesman - and like used cars lots they get a bad rep. In home salesmen in general were investigated by the Government from years of lying in the home. So, the industry cleaned it self up - but some still are a bit shady * BUT that does not mean All salesman lie Nor does it mean their product is bad. That is the real insult - Many salesman/woman are very fair and honest and their products are the Best of the Best. example: Kutco knives are sold in-home sales, usually via relatives of the salesperson and then getting referrals. Carpet is sold in-home, I have excellent carpet and a set of Kutco knives - I love in homes sales its the only way you can negotiate the price these days(doors, windows, new roof, siding all in-home sales). The Borrtrainer (? spelling) family is 3rd and 4th generation IN THE SAME INDUSTRY AND THE SAME PRODUCT - their father's integrity is beyond reproach and his sons, now running the show, are excellent men. My point is to tell future customers to buy this water filter system (PWSI) because it works and it's wonderful having it. (going on 2 years - love it) ONLY negotiate the Sh_t out of the price. Remember the cost of living is high for everyone, them too - so you gotta pay - just not 5K or 6K Chlorine and other contaminants in our Water are causing many illnesses and impeding our healthy life style - the government knows but can't afford to fix what they know is broken, so its up to us to protect ourselves from these dangers. Get the filter! just make them earn your business. My wife is a Medical Doctor and has checked all of the data about the dangers of chlorine and its all true. After more then 2years now (this is a current update) everything is as true as they say - our clothes are cleaner, last longer and cost much less to wash. Our bathroom is easer to clean with no lime to clean away, softer skin, cleaner smoother hair, clean windows with Only water and paper towels, spots on the carpet with water and a towel. And all our pasta, soups, drinks - and just plan old drinking water is the BEST we've ever tasted. We now almost never drink the water served in dinners. IT WORKS IT WORKS IT WORKS, buy it have it installed and forget all these sour-grape complaints - there are thousands more happy customers then the handful who complain here. PS the company that installs and sells is a factor to your longterm happiness - call the Bristol PA office for yours - if not in their area call them anyway and ask for a reference. I have not been disappointed once after over 2 years. I have detailed photos of the install in my home - I am not a 'plant' i really worked there and quit, paid nearly full price for the system and have never regretted my choice. No other manufactured product on the market today
does what Rain Soft can do with a LIFE TIME Guarantee ! no one else has a life time Guarantee !

RainSoft - misrepresentation

Approached while shopping in Home Depot by a representative of Rainsoft/ possibly one of the employees of the local dealership. I was told I could have them come to my home and do a water test to check for any problems with my water system. I agreed to the in home test, because I had recently moved to Jacksonville, and also since I had just bought a new...

RainSoft poor customer service

I purchased a $4000 water softener system from Rainsoft Water that has a lifetime same owner warranty. It has continually had problems with my driveway and plants getting flooded out and plants dying from the salt, the system keeps cycling day and night, etc. I brought this issue up to the owner, Marc Cohen, who bought all rights and exclusive monopoly servicing within the San Diego County. Neither Marc or his staff have looked for the problem, they only say no trouble found and run before it happens again. His fix is for me is to pay $2600 to replace the system with another one which he says has not failed yet. He has identified that the old systems were constantly causing problems with other customers who have paid the $2600 to get a new system installed, yet he is not willing to forgo his profit from the $2600 rate that he is hoping every customer will shell out.
Be very careful about buying from him. He is nice when it comes to selling you the system just like a new car salesman but once something goes wrong you will see the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde come out and your system will not be fixed. You will continue to pay service fees of $89.50 a pop... Beware!

RainSoft Rain Soft water system is horrible

My Rains Soft water treatment system is horrible. It doesn't work as advertised. I get dirty water out of my sink taps, toilets showers about 3 - 4 days a week. The system has been in place for about a year and my water has been worse than it was on the softener and chlorinator we had previously which they hauled away after installing the Rain Soft system. I paid $5000 for this system. I've complained, FL & Energy Water & Air have sent tech's out at least once a month. The problem still continues. What do i do next? I'm trying to contact the corporate office. Someone has got to stop running me around and fix this thing. It needs to work as advertised by their sales person Louella said it would. The "liquid Soap Products" suck. They do not clean anything. We were told that these products along with the beautiful clean rain soft water would be all we need to keep our home clean and spotless. Yeah right, we have water stains on everything! I can't keep the toilets clean, shower stalls clean, our clothes smell after washing them. We are at our wits end. My wife is ready to leave me because I pulled the trigger on the $5000 water system when the one we had was adequate, the only problem I had grown tired of was having to mess with liquid chlorine and constantly trying to get the right amount in the chlorinating tank so the water didn’t smell like chlorine. I was looking for a “hands off “water purification system. Louella came to our home and spent just over 3 hours showing us all these amazing things Rain Soft water can do and the “Liquid Soap Products”. How bad and horrible our water was, she did some many tests to make the water yellow, brown, pruple and it was disgusting. She wouldn’t drink our water, she said bottle water was bad to, spring water had animal feces in it. I was convinced we HAD TO HAVE this Rain Soft water system, then she told me the price $8500. I laughed at her. I told her there is no way we would pay that much even if the water turned to gold coming out of the tap and asked her to leave. Well she wouldn’t leave, she said she just couldn’t live with herself knowing we had such bad water and then made some calls outside. She came back in and said $6500. Again I told her this wasn’t going to work for us. We just don’t have that kind of money. She finally said ok we can have it for their cost, $5000 that she was only gonna make $100 but I had to give them my existing softener and chlorinator on trade. My wife didn’t want to do it, it was still too much money. I’m a salesman that’s what I do. I had to tough negotiate with my wife to get this unbelievable, life changing, I’ll never have to mix chlorine again water purification system. This was the best water on the planet. We’ll never have to clean anything ever again. We’ll have pure water, life couldn’t be better. We’ll be healthier, we’ll save so much money because you only have to use a teeny tiny amount of their concentrated “Liquid Soap Products”.
The system was installed April 2010 by FL & Energy Water & Air. They came out to fix it around 2 times a month through September 2010. I don't have all of the service work orders but I have 6 of them dating through late August, and 2 more from April & May 2011. They didn't always give me a copy. I even tried to reach the sales person Loella and couldn’t get her to call me after repeated attempts. I haven’t seen or spoken to her since the day she demoed the product and sold us on Rain Soft. Jude, the service tech asked that I give a few months before calling them for service work on that last trip Sept, 2010. He said that the system needed time to adjust and settle in. Well nothing changed in the water quality. During those few months through Nov 2010 we still had dirty water and all the associated problems. The holidays were upon us and we got caught up in them and didn’t make a service call. I am a business owner and became very very busy after the first of the year. It is my busiest season Jan. – April. I work long hours and 7 day weeks. My wife is a CPA and she does the same. I thought my wife had called in service work and she thought I had been taking care of it. In Feb 2011 we started getting solicitation calls from Rain Soft to do warranty maintenance work on the system. They were going to charge me for this. I argued with them that the system had never worked as advertised and no sense doing maintenance on a system that doesn't work especially at my expense. I resumed the service work requests to get the problem fixed once and for all, March 2011. I called corporate and spoke to a woman there that sympathized with my story but said she couldn’t do anything that I had to talk with FL & Energy Water & Air. She was going to call the owner of FL & Energy Water & Air on my behalf and have him contact me. No one ever called not from corporate or FL & Energy Water & Air. I reluctantly called them because I had no choice but they hadn’t fixed anything on the system since it was installed. I ask to speak to the owner, why not go directly to the top. I spoke to a young man and he swore he’d get my message to him after hearing my story and the owner would get right back with me. I didn’t get a call. I waited two weeks and repeated my calls and requests about every 3 days when our water would be dirty as it served as a constant reminder and soon to be reason for a divorce. I finally asked to speak to someone who runs the business, a manager, supervisor, someone…… I talked with a "man in charge" Scott at FL & Energy Water & Air. He was upset with me that I hadn’t called in a service order from Nov 2010, even after I explained why. He assured me the problem would get fixed. They kept sending the same tech out however, Jude, that had come out all the previous times last year. This went on for about 3 or four service calls and finally last week, May 5th, 2011 a new tech came out, Mike M. I told him my story, I showed him the shower stalls and how disgusting they are and that they look like this weekly, and the toilets black ring that appears over and over and over every other day, and the smell of the water, the smell of our clean clothes and bath towels, the water stains on the glass in the master bath shower stall, the stains on our wine glasses, pots and pans, everything. He suggested we put bleach discs in our toilet tanks to keep those clean that because the water was so clean it draws bacteria and the dark rings that appear every other day is bacteria? What? really? We did it, I am tired of having to clean the toilets as often as we do. I'll try anything to lessen the work load. Do you know how embarrassing it is to have family and company over and have dirty toilet water. It looks like someone forgot to flush, 3 – 4 days a week! Mike M. inspected the system and said a seal was broken and all clogged up and that was the problem and everything should be fine. He was at the house for about 20-30 minutes. Well today is Mother's day May 8th, 2011 and the water was brown again out of the faucets, sinks, showers and toilets. Nothing has changed. It’s the same old problem.
My wife has contacts. She puts them in the mornings and has to use the water from our reverse osmosis tap in the kitchen every day because the water from our master bathroom tap is brown and smelly. There is a two gallon storage tank for the osmosis water. We use this to cook, to drink. The water from our tap to us is not drinkable. Taking a shower is awful, you don’t feel clan and you smell. Our clothes have a distinct pissy smell. We thought it was the “Liquid Soap Products” not cleaning them. Those products didn’t clean anything, It isn’t concentrated. We had to use double just to get the clothes to smell tolerable. We finally gave up on the “Liquid Soap Products” and went back to regular laundry detergents, we’ve tried every brand we can to make the clothes smell better. We even bought a new washer and dryer. It’s the water!
I want my $5000 refunded or for the love of God please fix this system to work like it was advertised to work. Put in a new system whatever it takes. I’ve asked FL & Energy Water & Air to come out and do the sales presentation all over again. Come out and show me what this water system is supposed to do. I have pictures I'd be happy to share with the world just email me at [protected]@cfl.rr.com I will not stop trying to get this resolved. I can call my local TV networks to do a story. I can start an anti Rain Soft Facebook page and website. This will get resolved.

I feel the same way especially with my laundry. I disconnected my rain soft equipment and my laundry is normal again, well except for the towels and a few clothes, pretty sure I need to just buy new ones. It's a terrible distinct smell. My toilets also get the black ring, I feel like this rain soft crap has costed me more then before I had it. So disappointed. I deal with Home Water Solutions in Loveland Colo

I read that the waste water line can be too low in the sewer drainout and can suck up sewage into your lines, that may be what is happening.

RainSoft service

Happy! The folks at Professional Water Services have be taking care of my filthy, smelly, rotten water 18 years with out incident. The 2 companies before them couldn't cut it. Thanks Linda, Mark, Pete and the rest of you good people. I normally don't write things online because there is no rules. But when my daughter told me she found something on line that was negative, I felt compelled to speak up. Thanks again

RainSoft Bad ethics/ Bad boss

The company pressures customers and residents of certain areas to get a water test done in their homes. It's borderline harassment. When somebody says they are not interested, they keep calling until they get a "Yes" or when the person say to put them on the "do not call list". Even then, they still call customers. I've called a couple of homes where they've told me they had already received a phone call that day or they had already told our company to stop calling their home. Great Lakes doesn't even have the water treatment system in the workplace for employees to actually test the water for themselves and believe in what they are selling. The owner Abe, gives false pretenses of the company and fires employees when they aren't being "nice" to him and that goes as far as just not saying hello when walking into the building. He told me that because I was tired from school and didn't look well rested, he felt it was best to let me go and find somebody who was more energetic looking for the position that I was in. Abe fired an employee for not reading a script like how he wanted it to be read. Well the problem with that is, he had given us a new script to read everyday the first week that we had gotten hired. It was very hard for us to memorize one script when we had another script thrown at us the very next second. Abe also was pushing us to kind of bend the law as far as what we were to say when calling people and how to set up appointments because him and his sales techs/drivers were having a hard time finding work (as far as customers were concerned). Abe actually told the new hires that he needed to get appointment be any means necessary. It was a very hard place to work at and I have worked at plenty of calling centers with sales work and this has been the worst by far.

RainSoft water conditioner sales

A & B Marketing d/b/a Rainsoft continually calls my home marketing their product even though I have asked them repeatedly to remove me from their call list. The girl who calls is very pushy, and rude and claims that we have been referred to them by a friend, or by home depot. I have told them that we are on a no call list, and that they should not call us, however, they continue to call.

Yeah they came out and did the "free" water assessment and concluded that I had hard water. We are on town water so it is testing as required by the state and feds, so I knew the water was not terrible, but I was curious...big mistake. I got the typical presentaiton and soft sold on the idea of hte system. It was going well and the bit about the free cleaning products was thrown in and all that in an effort to create value add. At the end though the price was too high and so was the 17.99% interest rate they offered. I declined the offer and then the hard sell came on and I again politely declined. It was difficult to get the guy out of my house and now I am hounded with follow-up calls from them. Not really all that professional and not really all that great of an experience. I also found the, "let me call my boss to see what we can thing" cheesy. I would avoid falling into the trap of even having them in your home...

RainSoft The are a rip off

Rain soft water treatment and air purifiers are a peiece of crap. The so called air purifier is just a uv light that uses way too much power, and the water conditioner has never worked and they never come out to fix it, or if they do they want to charge a ridiculous fee and then say our water is the problem. We wasted thousands of dollars and I wish we had never let the pushy salesperson in. I wish I had looked up all this information online. I am writing this so others dont get roped into giving away their hard earned income to these con artists. Oh and the products that supposedly help your water the soap, detergent, etc...Its all crap, I can get my clothes cleaner by using nothing, than I could using their cheap stuff, it might as well be a teaspoon of soap 3 gallons of water. The shampoo and conditioner all of it is crap! If someone comes to your house wanting to sell this junk slam the door on them!

RainSoft broken faucet and putting gravel into my plumbing system

Agreed to a free water test. After 4.5 hours of sales pitch I finally agreed to the water softner. They installed the next day. Installer really excited about showing me the -dirt- in my water. I had no water pressure in my kitchen, I barely had water at all in my kitchen. The installer took my faucet apart and broke it. The faucet would not shut off. The installer left. The next I took a day off work so I could go buy a new faucet and install it. I still had no water pressure in my kitchen. I called H2O Technologies and was informed that it would 5 days before they could maybe send someone out. I told them they could take the softner out when they came back. Please understand I had to ask and wait for return call to find out how much the interest rate was on their product. So seven days later they finally show to take the water softner out. He left and I now had no water pressure in my shower. I called them and they just didn't know when they could send someone out. I could not afford to take another day off work so on Saturday I called a plumber and he flushed gravel and sand out of my plumbing. I have city water and in the ten years I have lived here I have never ever had dirt of any kind in my water. So I'm out about 470.00 dollars and they ruined my Christmas. I cannot believe the BBB has not shut these people down. I still am going to file a complaint against Home Depot since it was in their store where I entered a giveaway for a washer and dryer.

RainSoft salesman lies

If a Rainsoft salesman calls hang up. If you did make an appointment don't let them in the door. I got a phone call that I 'won' two prizes. One was a free water test and the other a gift card from Home Depot. The caller explained she was from Home Depot and the free water test was in order to see what was wrong with the water in the area so they knew what type of chemicals to spend. I told her I didn't want a spiel for a water conditioner company. No no no she said. This test is worth 100's of dollars and is for Home Depot. If you want a water softener they will sell you one but this is for Home Depot. She explained that I would get the test results of this test that could cost 100's of $$$$. The Rainsoft saleslady arrived 1/2 hour late without appology. Her spiel took over two hours. I should have tossed her out. I did need a conditoner so after I got worn down and she came down from $9000.00 to 3500 I agreed. Thank the lord there is a 3 day cancellation period for contracts of this type in Fl. I could not sleep thinking we were ripped off. So I cancelled. I checked Sears and other retailers and saw a similar system was about $1500. Figuring in about 300 for a plumber to hook it up I thought 1800 was about right. The Big Guy from Rainsoft called the next day. We agreed on a price of 1800. The next day it was installed. As I was reading the owner's manual I saw the lifetime warranty on the filter material was void if there was any iron in the water. My water was not tested for iron. So I called and told them to take it out. No time prior to installation was I told or shown any paper work that mentioned the iron. The 'Big Guy' assured me even if there was iron in the water he would honor the warranty. I had them come out and test for iron and sure enough there was some. The 'Big Guy' said he would give me a new contract with a stipulation that any iron would not void the warranty. I agreed to that but told him I need a few hundred off for all the crap they put me through. He agreed and dropped the price to$1600. I think I could have gotten it even cheaper when I agreed to the $1800 price. My wife did the talking to the 'Big Guy' while I was out running errands. I think I would have offered about $700.00 and seen what they came back at. By the way, the water test worth '$100's of dollars is a simple test to show chlorine and hardness...exactly the same as a swimming pool test. Did Home Depot ever get a copy of my test results? No according to the 'Big Guy'. It was simply lies coming from the telemarketer.

By the way. I love the water system and the water. I would recommend it to anyone. I know you can negoiate the price down and I would bet you can get it for under a $1000.

People, You get what you pay for...the RainSoft system is rated number #1 out of all the systems made on the planet. There are many systems out there for less...as there are many systems less than a Mercedes. Comparing any other cheap off-the-shelf system to the RainSoft system is like saying all cars are the same as a Mercedes. The initial post-er was a bozo...and perhaps a liar, the systems cost the dealers more than he paid. He is just one of those people who take from other people without giving anything back.

Thanks for this information! Did you purchase the entire home water system? My husband and I are considering purchasing. We had the sales rep out this afternoon and asked him to leave after 2 hours so we could think and research. He was not happy about that, but they had quoted us $6800--when we said that was high, they came back with $5900 for an open box item. We asked them to come down to $5500 and they said no. It surprises me b/c I'm seeing all these posts of how people are getting it for so much less. Perhaps we have to sign the contract and then cancel to get the price down.

RainSoft discrimination

A rainsoft salesman came to our house to give us an estimate on a water softener, yesterday. He refused to give my wife a price, saying he could only give it to her if "her husband was home." what is this, the 1930's? Outrageous!
This will turn out to be a bad day for rainsoft, I assure you.
Ladies, if you want a water softener, don't call rainsoft; unless your husband is home. They evidently won't deal with a woman.

RainSoft former rep's story

I worked for a rainsoft dealer until this past week when the business could no longer sustain itself. I was never paid for my month of service. Usually when I arrived at peoples' homes they had little idea why I was there. Most of the time, by the time I was informed of the appointment it was already 15 to 45 min late. Apparently some customers are told they won a water test, although I wouldn't know for sure as I never met the people making these appointments. Their target market is low income homes with because they are more likely to purchase without really thinking about it. They also focus extremely hard on closing the sale that day. I wouldn't consider it a scam. More like a tax on the stupid. The sales reps just regurgitate a script over and over again and about %20 of people are dumb enough to buy anything. Based on my experience I would not trust the customer service. Mind you, this was only one dealer of hundreds. My advice is to buy a good water softener. That will do everything that they show you in their presentation, and is the only real money saver. If you want the health benefits of a reverse osmosis system, get it from another company...or don't get either, because it's a waste unless you have really hard water. You wind up having to take a multivitamin to compensate for all the stuff you remove from the water like calcium, magnesium and iron. This stuff is good for you, despite how bad it looks when rainsoft shows it to you.
In conclusion, go get an $800 water softener - because maybe it won't be lifetime warrantied, and it might die in ten years, you'll probably get it from a more legit company. Besides, even if you have to buy three or four of them it's way cheaper than rainsoft in the long run. And, as for making $100, 000 per year - this is what any sales company wants you to think their guys make lol. In conclusion, choose anyone but rainsoft - overpriced product pushed by good actors. Basically, they scammed me out of a month of my time, and I was on their side. I can't imagine how they would treat a customer with an issue...

The "minerals" the rep states are GOOD for you are not - not in the chemical form flowing through the miles and miles of underground service pipes to one's home. As a former rep, I did make about $80, 000/year. I usually sold one "full boat" (a system with all the bells and whistles) and two more basic models per week. The commission was awesome! About $1300 selling a full boat system and a percentage for anything less. If you have fun with it, it is very rewarding. Water in Florida is horrendous and is the cause of many ailments and terminal diseases beset this population. Water from the city has chlorine - more than a swimming pool's limits. Water from a well is wrought with bacteria, sulphur, and iron. All in deadly doses.
Rainsoft is worth the money, worth one's health, and salespersons do have a great product that truly benefits their customers. It is a NEED and not a WANT.

What a bunch of nitwits. That rep couldn't sell out of a wet paper bag. RainSoft has sold millions of customers worldwide and I am sure they have issues on occasion. As far as replacing the minerals with a multi-vitamin, dead wrong. Yes we need certain minerals in our diet, but you wouldn't get a piece of chalk and grind it down to eat it for calcium, you wouldn't take a piece of iron to a cheese grater and put it on your pasta...these are the minerals in the solid state. You need to get out of sales if you can't sell...a good salesperson is an honest person who wants to help people and that salesperson will reap the rewards from his good will.

RainSoft fraud!

We purchased the rainsoft system...or shall I say my husband was suckered into purchasing the rainsoft system exactly one year ago. I had concerns as the product cosst 5k for whole house and air purifier system, and because our sales rep who turns out to also be the general manager in our area made it seem like the company was working for us. Needless to say, Robert the GM set up the install before even mentioning anything about us needing to perform maintainence on the product monthly and annually. I tried to return the product after thirty days because I did not feel that it did anything even close to what it was marketed to do plus for that kind of money who wants to have to calander their own monthly maintanence. They would not allow us to return the product stating that it had been over thirty days since the install, when in fact the 30 day gaurentee should have applied only after we were given the instructions for use by Robert who didn't show up for 4 weeks after the install to do so. When he did show up, he finally decided to mention all the extra maintanence we had to perform on the machine but failed to mention that it would cost us $170.00 annually to reset our expire. Here we are a year later exactly and I am notifiying both the attorney generals office the BBB and home depot that this fraud simply can't happen anymore.

DON'T BUY IT. IF YOU WANT SOFT WATER GET A DARN CONDITIONER THEY COST LESS AND YOU WON'T FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT AT THE END OF THE DAY!

RainSoft high interest rate negotiation

I called into American Finco to negotiate a decrease in my finance charges because I noticed that my balance had not went down for over a year of payments on time. After speaking with a representative I was clearly told that my finance charge could not be negotiated down any lower. I stressed to the representative that I have paid on time every month and my balance never seems to be going down and I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. As a customer, I feel like we should be able to work somenthing out. Nonetheless, I was told there was nothing they could do to assist me. Now here it is almost two years later and my balance has only dropped minimally.

RainSoft - don't purchase this product

I'm a first time home buyer, and a few weeks after I moved in, I recieved one of the cold calls offering me free gifts for 15 mins of my time in which my water would be tested. I agreed for the water testing. The salesman showed me how dirty my water was and how much better it was with the system. I was told that with this system, when making a bubble bath...

RainSoft ripoff

All comparable softeners are basically the same from one company to another with the exception of the control head.
Quality and value is about the same.
To give you an idea of how much over priced a rainsoft conditioner is,
you could buy a contr0l head of equal value from some other company like Fleck for instance and install it in place of a Rainsoft head on your Rainsoft system and you would have a softener that would perform as well as if not better than your softener with a Rainsoft head!

The bonus? You would have saved yourself roughly $2300!
Is Rainsoft a rip off? You decide!
