The Grant CD does not open and no email was sent with the codes as stated each time I try and open it. Confirmation code is incorrect or too old

I received the CD however I did not get a email with information on how to use it. The CD will not open up without it. I can't get through to any one for help. I will be reporting them to the Atty Generals office and better business bureau.

I am also one of those who received the cd but not the code. The company has just taken out another $49.50 without my authorization. I want this action stopped immediately. Even if the company sent me the code, I do not want to be involved with them at all.

I received my CD today and can not open it. No email when I ordered. Have put a flag on bank account so they can not take any more money out.

This is a SCAM company!

NOW I understand how they do it!

I got ripped off, called to complain and cancel, and got the person at the head of the company after talking to a call person for a while and getting useless standard replies. Of course, they won't give anyone their money back as you read above...

What they do is to have TWO application form windows. The first one looks innocuous:

The second one is where they catch you, it loads when you hit "Submit Order" on the first page. Suddenly the same-looking page with name and address info comes up BLANK again, so the applicant, irritated, retypes the information without really noticing the bottom of the page (circled here in RED):

Now they have their excuse to charge you indefinitely until you cancel, which of course most of us will only see once it shows up on the credit card statement, usually well past the 7 days!

No matter what, I am definitely fighting this one! This is clever consumer deception that they should not get away with.

BY THE WAY: I got their address from a fake "scammer alert" website. They have setup the same information on several legitimate looking websites, for example:

We are very sorry for any misunderstanding while ordering our materials, included in the confirmation email you receive after ordering the CD is your user name and password which you need to be able to access the info on the CD. You want to make sure your checking your bulk mail as well, sometimes it may get shuffled around. Our 1-800 number is listed on the billing page if you need further assistance.

You may have noted that before clicking the "Submit Order" button on the home page of the Grant Research Guide, directly below that big red box is a paragraph stating, "By submitting this form I am ordering the Grant Resource Information and trial membership. After the seven day trial I will be charged $49.50 a month thereafter if I do not cancel. I have read and agree to the PRIVACY POLICY and Terms & Conditions. Cancel any time by calling 1-800-235-1364." Information about the trial membership can be found on either our Terms and Conditions, located at http://www.grantresearchguide.com/terms.php or on the payment page, where you are asked to enter your payment method and information.

There it states: "A free seven (7) day subscription in the Grant Research Guide Resource Center is included with each free CD that is shipped. If you choose to cancel your subscription to the Grant Resource Center anytime within the first seven (7) days of sign-up you can do so without charge. If you decide to keep your membership in the Grant Resource Center, a charge of $49.50 will be automatically billed to your credit card each month for continued subscription access. Please see the Terms and Conditions for additional details."

We only have one website, the other websites listed above are other companies. We are not trying to hide in any way which is why we list all charges right on the billing page and have a whole customer service team here to answer your questions and concerns.

This was a total scam and rip off!! Stay away from this one. You never recieve the email this Nick is claiming, and have yet to recieve this cd. Thanks to those of you who posted the phone number, I only lost 52.00, and the complaints, and what to do. Stay away from this one!!!

I did receive CD and was able to access site once. Saw
charge for service and cancelled at once. Was told my
subscription was good until July 11. Tried to access
website tonight (6-25-08) and cannot get back on!! I'd
say that's a rip-off.

they charged me 49.50 for nothing. they said i'd only pay $1.00. i'm reporting them to the BBB and my credit card company. this is infuriating. you cannot get through to anyone yet they tell you to leave a message but there's no beep & they tell you to go online to cancel yet there's nowhere to cancel.
