The software (Proscan v5.6) is described here http://www.myscantool.com/store/ and it says ""If you already own an ELM-based OBD-II interface, then you definitely need to experience it with ProScan! You'll immediately be wondering how you managed to live without it!>> PrScan is the most advanced software available for ELM-based OBD-II Hardware!".
This implies that the software works with any compatible hardware (i.e. ELM-based). When I use it with my ELM327 adapter, the software tells me it can only be used on Gore Research hardware.
I have sent 8 - 10 emails with no response, although they were quick enough to send me the serial number after i chased them for a week after they took my money. I have repeatedly requested a refund, but they have just ignored the emails.
