Google scam

I, like many others, signed up to receive a free CD from Goggle Treasure Chest. Although I never received the CD/DVD, I was charged 70.00 + dollars. My bank gave me their number and after calling Google Treasure Chest, they gave me a confirmation number and did put the money back in my account within 10 days. Now, today, I have a new charge of 38.81 (est.) and when inquiring about it, it is from SafeLock ID. I was able to find their number after reading many of the postings on this site. Their number is [protected]. When I called them, I was told by a man named Justin that they no longer represent Google Treasure Chest, but they do represent SafeLock ID. I told "Justin" that like many others, I had agreed to pay the 1.99 to purchase a CD but nothing more. He said that all of these type charges are outlined in terms and conditions. He agreed to cancel my membership with SafeLock ID, but would not agree to reimburse me back the money I had lost. At this time, I have no idea what other memberships I may have unknowlingly signed up for.

I have been trying to reach SafelockID via [protected] and have been unable to get through. I was charged for an item I never ordered. I was given a confirmation number for a refund, but the refund has not been applied to my account.

I purchase a CD for $1.97 to make money from home. I reviewed the material which is very generic and i thought, well i lost 2 dollars no big issue.
That was only the beginning of the problem my master card was charged the same day with the amount of $72.00 for a service i have not requested.
Took me quite a while to find a phone number where to stop this situation [protected].The charge was stop but not reverse, so i lost 72 dollars more.
Then a couple days later i was charge the amount of $24.87 and took me a while to figure out this was connected to the initial $1.97 of how to make money. After a while found the address because they tell you the charge is cancel but you have to write to them to really get it done.
address 51 west center strip po box 621 orem UT 84057.
This is not the end, today i got a new charge for $38.84 from other company called SAFE LOCK ID also related to my initial candid purchase of the now unwanted CD.
This one took me longer to find a phone [protected] to cancel the charge.
My biggest concern is that i do not know, how many other phantom companies could be out there connected to this "innocent CD" deal.
I you like to contact me use this e mail edgard123ab@gmail.com
Hope if you read this note it might help to avoid this dirty type of deals

Ditto to what everyone else here has posted, although I've found a total of FIVEdifferent "vendors" that are charging my credit card since I signed up to receive my CD. They include Google Chest, SafeLock ID, SearchChest, Grant Masters, and A1 Member. I can't believe this crap! I called to cancel my credit card today and they will refund my money - thank goodness I used a credit card! I don't believe Google has anything to do with this, but I'm going to try to contact them nevertheless.

I wasn't able to get through to SafeLock ID using any of the numbers posted... I'm thoroughly disgusted!

The same thing happened to my husband he signed me up for the google treasure chect/safe lock id. We did recieve the cd but our computer crashed and we never used it so I called to get it canceled and to try and get my money back. Both companys promised my money back gave me confim. numbers and told me I would see the money in about 10 bussiness days and that was back on 6/3/09 and we still haven't seen any of our money back! Google charged us 72.21 twice and safe lock id charged us 38.84. They over drafed our account twice until we realized what was going on! Now the customer service that was working for them no longer works with them and I have no numbers to get a hold of anyone to find out where our money is!

I ordered a Google CD on-line to teach you how to make money on the internet. I never opened the CD when it came and cancelled. It advertised the cost of $1.97. Then the following months we saw various charges. The only number that I got through to is [protected] and spoke with Rea. Tell them you want to cancel, just in case your bank needs to reference it. Don't waste your time asking for a refund from them. The woman who answers the phone is only a pawn for the scammer. This is a 3rd party call center so don't waste much time here. Best recommendation is to call your bank. Ask for the Fraud Department and identify the charges to your bank that you have found erroneously on your statement. The bank will have you cut up your credit card and will make sure no more charges take place on your account and will also refund your money the following month. Also the bank will start an investigation. So far I found charges as follows under these different names:
GOOGLECHEST...$72.21
A1 MEMBER [protected]...$24.87
SAFELOCK ID [protected] UT...$38.84
SEARCHCHEST [protected]...$72.21
POWERSALE [protected]...$24.87
WEBTRAINING [protected] ...$72.21
GRANTFINDER...$24.87

Hope this helps.

I signed up for the free cd from google treasure chest, never saw anything at all about charges from another company. I never received the cd and when I saw overdraft fees on my account, I looked into it and saw a 38 and some cents charge on my card which created an overdraft, not knowing it was on there I used my card twice more which resulted in two more overdrafts. Every time I tried to get a hold of safelock, I kept reaching a partner company who said they would put in a request for the refund but it didn't happen, I called the number again and was told that the request had to go to Safelock ID and they had to do the refund themselves, I gave it a few more days and still no refund. My bank told me I had to give them 30 days to do the refund and needless to say, the refund never happened, my bank finally reversed the charges which as soon as it goes through, will put my account positive again. I would be more than happy to sign a class action lawsuit if one is created. This company needs to be stopped from scamming people.

I have the same problem as everyone above. This is definately a scam. The number I have on my bank statement is [protected] and when you call this number or the [protected] you get a voice mail saying transfering to the operator, and then transfering to the back up operator. You just can't get through. I'm calling my bank now.

I have just finished talking to my credit card company. I have disputed all charges from A1, Google Chest and Safelock ID. The card is closed and no further charges can be made to that card. I talked to Google Chest and A! and had the charges removed but could not get through to Safelock ID. I responded to an e-mail and there was no fine print thank you. I never even opened the CD I received because by then I had determined it was a scam still the charges appeared on my statement at the end of May. Google Chest is a name and I doubt that it has any association with Google. They used it as a way to throw off people by making them think it was a legit company. We are not fools just sometimes we don't think before we act. I was not out one cent because I caught it on the e-statement and called to protest so I had myself covered.

I was spammed twice in 2 weeks with a $38.84 charge from safelock id. I disputed the charge with my credit card company (orchard bank) and within 1 day, they have reversed the charges and given me a credit. I'm sure I'm not the only one!

Google - unauthorized charges on my debit card

I tried to order a CD for $1.97 which was shipping and handling charges, through Google Treasure Chest and never received the CD nor the confirmation e-mail. This was on 4/23/09, when I made the order and finally today, after two months, I got them to cancel my monthly subscription with Google Treasure Chest and Safe Lock ID. I'm requesting a full refund...

Google fraudelant charges

sometime in April 09 order CD-ROM on making money from home to see what it was about; it made mention to ensure that on $1.97 was billed and charged to my account for that CD; on 4/24/09 I was billed for that amount and was paid from my bank. Never recieved CD so i never thought about anything else; i never agreed for any other charges or membership fees or to what membership i was applying for that i was awar of. On 6/01/09 I noticed a couple of transactions being charged that i wasn't familiar with. One was Safelock ID for 38.84 and the other was Treasure Chest for 72.21 upon researching with my bank i found #'s to call and Safelock was willing to do refund of 38-84 w/in 7-10 days and cancelled membership. When I called Treasurechest, service rep Reagan ID 12067 stated refund couldn't be done due to cancellation being done past the 30 days timeframe and there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak with manager and he stated managers didn't take calls. I explained to him of how could i be charged on something i wasn't even aware of and that i never recieved CD and knew of membership or timeframe to cancel and i couldn't afford to lose my amount of 72.21 he said that nothing could be done and it was late and no refunds could be issued. I am filing this complaint and would like my charges to be reversed as I researched my May Monthly statement and noticed that I had been charged 72.21 on May 4 but missed it. Now they are trying to get away with charging me 72.21 again on 6/4 and not give me any refund or credit back to my account. please assist me with this complaint and make people aware out there of the scam that google is doing with this money making from home CD.

I was very surprised to see some wrong information about me in Google regarding a traffic offence in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

I called the Bridgewater Municipal Court and they told me to get in touch with you and get the information removed. Please look into it because it is a very damaging information that is not true.

The phone number of the Township Court is [protected].
Please call them and straighten this issue out.

My name is Collins Fekederimo and the information you have about me in Google is false. My email address is [protected]@aol.com. Please get in touch with me if need be.

Thank you very much.

Google big scam!

I clicked on a link for a Christian Mom making money on Google. It sounded interesting so I clicked on it and ordered the cd for $1.98. I immediately was spammed by a company called vemmabuilder who got my information from googleresourcecenter.com. Other companys called me on my cell phone offering other "products." There was no reference to additional charges on the pages I printed after ordering the $1.98 product, nor was there on the email I received from Google Riches. That was all on April 9th.

On May 7th, I was billed $98.04 by googlecdkit.com, on May 11th I was billed 48.16 by Mobilekit2009, and on May 28th, I was billed $48.16 by grantcd.

When the google riches coach called me in early May, I advised him I wasn't interested in the product anymore because they had given my personal information out to other companies. There was no mention of a service I had to cancel.

When I called google riches today, they canceled my "service" that I didn't order in the first place and advise me that the fees were non-refundable and it stated that in the order process. When I found my order information, I found no reference to a service and so I called back to google riches and they said the terms were on the page where I put my credit card information in. I was supposed to click on the terms button and print it from there. I asked if I could get back to that point on the website and the operator at google riches advised me that she can't give me that information. What a scam. What can I do about this? Is there any way to get my money back?

Googleriches.com gets your credit card number for the shipping and handling of an information CD that never arrives. Within that first month they charged close to $200 and I was alarmed by my credit card company thank goodness. They are not part of the google company but somehow get their advertising to look real. They have a customer service rep that will tell you that they cannot refund your lost money but can cancel the membership. Best thing is to have your credit card number changed. Don't cancel cc or your credit rating will be lowered. Maybe your credit card company will reimburse your loss if you fill out all the paperwork.

Ordered "free" info on the work from home program. Only had to pay shipping and handling. A month later was charged $6.82 for a service I did not register for or authorize. I called and cancelled that service, Health Tracker, for which I received no service or item. Do not even know what it is. Was never given a refund. Recently charged $84.79. Spoke to their customer service. Will not give refund! I never received any product or service for this charge. Do not know what this product or charge is for! Why was this other "service" not cancelled when I called and cancelled "healthtracker"? Cannot get straight answers from their customer service. A HUGE SCAM!

Signed on to Google Riches and recived something called Health Tracker and was told I would get a packet to evaluate the product. I canceled Health Tracker almost immediately and thought this took care of canceling out of their program. But I later was charged $84.79 on my credit card and put a hold on it. After reading posts on a website from people who were also scammed I went to the Google website and saw in very small print at the botton that I had a 6 day evaluation period. I have never received anything from them. I don't know what I am being charged forsince I have received nothing to evaluate.
I am getting up in years and have lost all my retirement. I am unable to work. I live on Social Seccurity. I looked into it because, like many others these days, I am hurting for money. I never expected to be scammed by a supposedly reputable company. I am going to go on to TV to tell my story.

I signed up to try the Google Riches program, they charged me $1.97 and then the took $98.04 out of my checking account. I don't even know what this is for. I can't get anyone to call me back. Everytime I try the number they transfer me to voicemail, because their system is sooooooooo busy, and then when they get me to voicemail, it says, "Sorry voicemail box is full can't leave a message at this time. I have left messages and left messages for someone to call me back and they haven't. One of the numbers that is supposed to be customer service is actually a travel agent, and the week before it was something else.

I signed up to order the Google Riches for $1.81 trial offer. After reading the terms and conditions that they will continue to charge on my credit card for monthly fees unless you cancel within 14 days, I tried to call their number of [protected] asap and for several times. This number goes directly to a voice mail that is full and hangs up. You cannot cancel or contact a representative even if you wanted to. They immediately charge your card. I looked them up and I've been scammed. Apparently, others have too. Google "Is the Google Kit a Scam?" and you'll not be surprised to find out that it is truly ficticious. I believe it is meant to charge your card for months and months without having any recourse. Good luck to all of you that get suckered by this. Please read the terms before putting any of your personal information on anything. If it looks too good to be true, it usually is.

had the similar issues with Google Riches. Finally found an updated phone number [protected]. i kept a level head when i talked to them and they were helpful enough.

But i would suggest to anyone out there make sure you have the right company. I had the fun time of calling up and dealing with the wrong Google internet money scam then finding out it was the wrong scam :P. what a waste of time this has been

The customer rep also said that you could cancel on my.grand-money.com. i didn't get to try it since i canceled over the phone but just going to the website it looks like you can log in with your email and cancel.

I'm just this around the internet to hopefully help some people

Google claims they have a home business. Funny when you call Google they deny ever having anthing to do with home business, . What a scamm. This company is nothing more than common internet trailer trash thieves. They not only steal peoples money with their low life scam they sell your credit card to their buddies. Someone needs to stop these low lifes from operating. They are complete sociapaths, they have no conscience. I am so pist ! Sorry about the spelling. When you call these people whe represent themselves as Google either the phone rings and rings and rings or it is disconected. When someone tries to take money from me, they are in deep kl;'k;k;k//. I will tell everyojne I know that Google is a bunch of low life scam artist. Maybe Im just a little guy but watch the damage I will do to you. If I do find you lyou should pack up and run you cowardly low lifes.

Mark... this is the EXACT same thing that i am going through. I never authorized these charges.. I don't even know what 'google chest' is?!? When i called to have the 72.21 put back into my acct the person on the line who barely speaks English told me that I was to send mail to this address requesting my money back. SEND MAIL?! wtf. Were you able to get your money back? I called the place for 'A1-member'... they deposited the $24.87 back into my acct and the guy said that they work with the google chest company. This is ###. Please let me know if you were able to get your $72.21 back.

Google how to stop unauthorized charges

Since there are so many complaints about Google Treasure Chest, this is where I am putting my tip. Bank of America has something called 'Shopsafe' for their checking accts and credit cards that deters credit card theft and unauthorized recurring charges. It creates a *temporary* credit card number that you use for that one transaction *only*. Once that charge has gone through, the number is no longer valid so no one could charge your card again. Since credit card fraud is rampant I am sure there are other banks or credit cards that have the same feature but I am only familiar with BofA. Please check and see if your bank or credit cards offer this because you will never be hit with a fraudulent charge again if you use it.

This is how it works: I want to buy something for $12.99 at Amazon but I don't want to use my credit card so I log into my Bank of America credit card acct and click the "use Shopsafe" button. It prompts me for the dollar amount I want (I would input $13. for this case) and gives me all the information I will need to input on the Amazon site.

It gives me a 16 digit number, the 3 digit cvc code, an expiration date and my name for "cardholders name". Amazon uses that information and it charges my credit card acct $12.99 but they never see my actual credit card information. If Amazon were to try to charge me again they couldn't - there would only be one penny left on that card number so it would fail. It's almost like using a gift card - once you've depleted the balance it's a dead card. Once the merchant has charged your credit card with Shopsafe it can't be used again.

I know this won't help anyone who has already been duped by this company but I wanted to let you know you don't have to be duped again.

Google scam

So I got used and abused by this ###ed scam too, Google Treasure Chest, and the one I was automatically signed up for, a US grant, but I live in Canada, so I am wondering what the @#&* I'm giong to do with a grant from the US? So anyways, I saw that there are some people having trouble finding the contact numbers so I figure I will put them on here, Google Treasure Chest [protected], and the Grant Stimulus [protected], you have to cancel in 30 days or your hooped, so good luck!

ABSOLUTE SCAM. I checked my bank balance this morning to find a $72.21 charge. After scouring through my bills to make sure it wasn't something I incurred, I filed a fraudulent claim with my bank. I googled the info I had and came up with nothing. I then went to my mail box to see a disc from "Google Treasure Chest." I looked at the package and right away saw the "Sandy UT" address I saw online in my checking account.

KNOWING I was led to believe all I was to pay for was a shipping charge, I jumped back online and like the rest of you, my email to support@googletreasurechest.com was bounced back. I went to their web site http://www.googletreasurechest.com and got nowhere. You have to "sign in" to get ANY information - the last thing I want to do is "create a member account" only to get yet ANOTHER bogus charge.

I now have to wait until Monday to get a customer service rep on the phone. Meanwhile, this freaking charge has put my balance in the negative. I've been out of work for 9 months - this has been an absolute nightmare.

THEY ARE SHARKS AND SHOULD BE PUNISHED TO FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW. How heartless can you be?

It seems simple enough... order a CD for $1.97 and then decide if it is somthing you want to do after it arrives. BUT... they NEVER mail you a CD. so you wait and then a 2 weeks later you suddenly get charged for $72.21 on your account with no information of who or what. I finally got through to someone and they gave me a CAncelation number and said the amount will be refunded. in the maen time I CANCELED my debit card and ordered a NEW one to prevent and future charges. if you have fallen into theis scam I sugest you CANCEL your card number ASAP. also call this nuber to actually speak with someone. TOTAL SCAM! I signed up and paid the $1.98 and then I instantly called the company and told them to cancel my account because I read somewhere that I would be charged way more every month. After calling them they said my account was deleted and their wont be any charges.

I wake up this morning and there are 3 pending transactions for $38 to this company! Now I have to cancel my debit card, get the government involved and put an end to this scam. These people will be brought to justice.

Okay - so I got scammed from this - paid $1.97, no big deal. Never received the disk I was suppose to get. Now they charge me $72.21. I have to write a letter before they will credit my account back. The woman told me they would cancel my subscription, I never signed up for a subscription. I will always start reading the "small print" from now on. Go to the websites, www.ryansincomeblog.com and www.matthewsmoney.com - they are the same guy! - How can people do this!?!?!?!

After reading many others complaints from this company, I decided to post my experience. Please if you are thinking of purchasing the cd, don't. I am in the process of trying to get a refund of $72.21 plus $1.97 and am finding it very hard to get any information on how to go about doing this.
The first thing I did is cancell my debit card. I will be going to the bank to see if I can start the process to get my money back.
After I had submitted all my information, I called that same day to cancell the cd. I had a funny feeling about this and that is why I called and cancelled. I felt confident that everything would be ok, boy was I wrong. Not only did they send the cd, (which I sent back without opening the package) but they took money out without my authorization. I am just sick to my stomach and I hope this problem can be solved with this company.
I wish everyone luck who is hoping to get a refund back.

I ordered a disc containing information about how to make money on the internet for shipping fees of $1.95. I received the disc and then was sent an email from Grantspring containing information about free grants. They somehow had my banking information and the website stated that if I should continue past the 'free trial' that I would be charged a fee. Understanding that this was tied up with my ordering the disc, I cancelled immediately and did not receive any other correspondence from Google Treasure Chest until I was charged $72.21 from my bank account. I called customer service and they were very rude, stating that I was not allowed to speak to a manager or supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and made sure that the next rep cancelled the account. I will now have to close my bank account because I do not trust that they will not charge me again. I never received access to a website to log into which would allow me to create revenue. Total Scam and I guess it is a lesson learned never to order anything advertised on the web.

Ordered $2.95 CD, got confirmation and phone number of customer service [protected]. Cancelled my credit card after finding negative information from internet. Now recieved few calls from Blue Sky company : [protected] (they say they are in Utah), they refer to Google Treasure Chest company (originally said this is A1 company): phone [protected] which is in Phillippines. They try to confirm the order and charge my credit card. Also recently got a call from unknown company saying that I have won $22000 and they need my credit card number to transfer money.

I too have been ripped of from google treasure chest. On [protected] sent in for cd. On 5-9-2009 they charged my debit card the 72.21. I called and canceled and was told i would receive my money back 7 to 10 business days. Then checked my statement this month and there was a charge of 38.84 which said somethings about safe lock on [protected]. I went to my bank this morning and explained my situation. So they had me to cancel my debit card so no more charges would be added. They also did a bank charge back. Hopefully this works. Will be checking every day to see if I get my money back. Will keep you updated

These people, I happen to fall for the cd for $1.97 then 5 days after I recieved the cd, I cancelled, then after two months they took $72.21 out of my account without my permission to do so, WHEN I ACTUALLY CANCEllED THE ACCOUNT. IAM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS SITUATION! THIS TO ME IS A SCAM BECAUSE IF A PERSON CANCELS< THEY DO NOT NEED TO GO IN THE BANK ACCOUNT AND TAKE ANY MONEY OUT FROM THE ACCOUNT!

I ordered a disk for $3.88 and have since been charged for two consecutive months for $72.81 by Google Treasure Chest. When I called to complain, they said I could not have my money refunded, even though I never broke the tape sealing the disk. And of course because they already had my credit card account, it was automatically withdrawn. I have been in touch with my credit card fraud dept and they suggested destroying my current which I have had since 2002 and they are sending me a new one.

See above.

If it comes to a Class Action Suit, I want to be included!

Google fradulant charges

Like so many others I ordered this cd for $1.97. I did receive the cd but have never opened it. I noticed two drafts pending from my bank account for $72.21 on two consecutive days from googletreasurechest. I sent them an e-mail asking about this. I never heard back from them but they did put the money back in my account. At least for two days. Thinking I had $144.42 back in my account I used my debit card for other purchases and bills only to find out they had taken the money again causing overdraft charges of $70.00 plus the $144.42. I have never received any type of reply from them and am still out over $200. No one will answer my calls or e-mails. Is there any way I can pursue this? I hope everyone thinks twice before falling for this scam. I imagine they have made quite a bit of money off people by now. I would hope someone there has a conscience and realizes how tough it is in todays economy without helping to rip people off! It makes me sick to know I let myself fall for this and I hope there is some way to stop them!

I am furious with this company! I have never even heard of "Google Treasure Chest" until it showed up on my visa card one day. I have 3 charges still on my visa that haven't been credited back. I've called in and cancelled a file that I didn't even set up! This is ridiculous! They tell me to wait 10 days for the credit to come in. I called in and cancelled on June 11th, 2009. I think that's more than enough time to credit someone back for the charges you have wrongfully submitted. They don't even ask for security questions. They just ask for questions anyone could know, and your in! This is a horrible company and anyone associated with it should be ashamed of themselves! If I get another charge onto my account you bet I'll be talking this into action!

Each time I call to get my money back a representive tells me they are prosessing it. I returned th CD as instructed and received proof of delivery on April 17. I still have not received my refund. All I'm getting is the old run around. Who can help me?

Same thing happened to me. They have taken/charged my credit card $113.87. Call your bank and dispute the charges if you haven't already. It is very important that the bank knows what is going on.
Also, be aware that you might have to change your account number. I had to change my account number to make sure that they would not keep stealing from me!

I have posted my complaint here too along with a picture of the receipt that was generated right after I foolishly purchased from these criminals!

I'm very careful when I buy online, I figured that for $1.97, what do I have to lose. $113.87 is what I have lost! I am disputing the charges and hope to recover my losses from Citibank.

Google money taken out of my bank account.

I requested the information CD and was charged $1.97 out of my bank account on 04/27/09. I haven't used the CD and would like to return it along with having the other two charges credited back to my banking account. I did not sign up for the program, only to review the CD, however after the first charge was taken from my account on 05/07/06 in the amount of $47.50 made payable to Google Riches USA I decided not to even review the CD. There was also a charge of $99.00 posted to my account on 05/26/09. That brings the total to be credited back to my account $148.47. This needs to be taken care of immediately as I am reporting you to the Better Business Bureau.
I look forward to your immediate credit to my account. Also, I tried to contact you by phone several times and all I got was a busy signal.

Regards,
Janet A Gross

Google scam

This company leads you to believe it's affiliated with Google and vice versa when, in fact, it ISN'T. They are located in southeast Asia. I too fell for their 'make money at home' scheme and figured the postage and handline wasn't a total loss to satisfy my curiosity. I did NOT request the CD but rather the online software. I got the CD anyway. Then the next thing I know is that they tapped my checking account for the infamous $39.95. That's when I called the bank and reported my debit card stolen and stopped payment immediately. They will also launch an investigation and in all probablility credit the account if the money has already been withdrawn. Then I phoned [protected] and got right through. I spoke with a guy named Chad in southeast Asia and I told him I was there 40 years ago fighting Viet Cong and he didn't want me to come back and kick more ###. I told him to call his supervisor and refund the money. My son, a Navy K-9 police officer was in the background yelling things like INTERNATIONAL FRAUD AND INTERPOL AND FBI loud enough for them to hear. We'll see how soon this is resolved to my satisfaction. I hope these tactics can help anyone else who has been duped by this unscrupulous, cyber-fraudulent racket.

I fell for it and made a claim showing that I did not authorize the transaction. Just S/H.

This was in May. Today (August), they reversed that claim, and charged it back to the account. I called the claims specialist and they said that the transaction is clear because it is for tutorial and the purchase was for online use. I thought I read the terms pretty well and nothing mentioned $72.21 being charged nor it being an internet setup. The opportunity to make money involved the internet, but I thought I would be getting what I wanted through parcel.

Now I am out again the money I had reversed.

Am I stuck with this charge? I did not get any email of the kit. So is there a way to get my money back?

Google Treasure Chest Kit? $72.21 ? Huge SCAM.

More about this fraud here: http://strangelyperfect.tv/3099/google-treasure-chest-its-a-scam-and-a-half/

Report it to the FTC and the Feds:

http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm

The most efficient and effective way to throw a monkey wrench into this Google Profit Kit scam machine.
(article from http://scam-googletreasurechest.blogspot.com/)

Steps to Take to Recover Your Money

1. Cancel your credit or debit card--Get a new card with new number! Your financial information has been compromised and you will be getting further debits to that card, If not now then they could come back later when you are unaware. This scam is refining into a form of "Identity theft" as your financial information is being traded to other cohorts without your permission or knowledge.

2. File a fraud charge with your credit card or bank and let them sort it out by doing a chargeback. They have more muscle to go after this sort of crime. Explain to them about all the consumer complaints that are on the internet and "insist" that they do charge-back or file a fraud charge. Your bank or credit card organization has all the tools necessary to find out where the charges are coming from, what business is involved, addresses and phone numbers connected to the charge and etc. You may not know or have access to this information. The banks and credit card org have all this at their fingertips and are obligated to handle the problem that has resulted.
More info at: http://www.chrismalta.com/scamtip1.asp

3. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Their job is to monitor and go after these types of scams.

http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtm

4. File a complaint with your state Attorney General and also with the Attorney General of Utah (where a lot of the phone numbers and addresses seem to be located)
http://www.naag.org/attorneys_general.php

5. Filing a complaint with the BBB is toothless as the scam already is rated with a "F".

6. File complaint at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx This is a place to report internet crime and is a combination gov agency of FBI, White collar Crime and Bureau of Justice Assistance.

7. After you filed with all the above agencies feel free to call any numbers you may possess that are connected to the "unauthorized charges" to try and recover all your money but take their word with a grain of salt. Don't hesitate to let them know what you have done or intend to do as they need to be shown that you mean business! If you succeed in getting your money returned you will have still taken steps to put their scam out of commission.

Google unauthorized charges

I agreed to charges of $1.97 for this google profit kit and did not receive anything by mal or e-mail. A few weeks later my bank called to tell me I was getting an over draft fee bacause my accont was over drawn, and I could not understand why. On wednesday I received my bank statement and noticed a charge of $72.21 that I did not authorize. It was no big shock that when I read the statement it read "For refunds call 866-957 Sandy". Gee wiz where are the last 4 digits of the number? My bank could not even find it in their system either. Can you say SCAM! I did find a # to call [protected]) and spoke with a young lady named shara... whose ext. is "587-no employee ID number available"... who told me she was located in the Pillipines and that the main google office is in Utah, but could not give me a number or address for that office, Shocker...she would probably be fired for giving that information out. She advised me to write a complaint to "Google Treasure Chest, 970 West Broadway Ste E347, Jackson, WY 83001". Good luck to the rest of you. I'll see how far I get with this info.

I believed on the advert as they used the google name with tha story of having the basic account for £1.50 I believed and placed the order. Now, after 7 days £38.15 was taken plus on both transactions a fee... Tried to contact them but no response. I contacted my Bank and I realised this is a know scamm and it is happening a lot lately, they are aware but can't do nothing as we have handed the card details to the company. I can open a case in 30 days but it is not guranted that I will be refunded. The only thing it was suggest is to cancel my card as stop them take any more money from it with out my concern. They must be doing with millions of people all over the world, if you see this message, contact your bank ASAP to cancel your card.

You are right you did send an email I overlooked. However, I do not see an email copy of my request that includes my document that I purchased. I searched my email and the only reference to Google Profits was an order that was placed. The search did not pull up any other emails prior to this order about any offers or trials.
I recall looking at an email (not from your company) involving news of a Google Profit Scam that you claim to be “as seen on MSNBC, CNN, THE TODAY SHOW, etc." I looked in the archives on these sites and only saw that it was a scam.

I would like for you to please send my documentation of this request that you say I agreed to. In the event you are unable to provide this you will need to include your source that has given you sensitive account information. Please be aware that The State of Tennessee and Federal Agencies have requested this information and this so called error or misunderstanding is under investigation.

If your company is legitimate then you should change your website based on the massive amount of complaints from people with the same unauthorized bank and credit card charges. This has been too time consuming and costly and need my funds returned as soon as possible. Please forward the requested documentation as mentioned above.

This is your email I found that went to my Junk Mail (for a reason) and I do not know any of the companies. ( i have marked out the personal information with an x or ? if blank. Also here is one of many more complaints -->

L. Wayne Vincent,

I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the services you've been receiving from our company. We are not affiliated with "Grow Rich with Real Estate" and in reviewing the above listed charges, it appears you are receiving charges from more than one company.
Our company represents some Google programs (Search Market Membersite) and there are no commitments with the CD download - however, there are bonus free trial periods to membership websites that accompany the CD Download and we do our best to disclose this as it is stated several times throughout the ordering process - on the sales page, the order page, the confirmation page and the thank you email, it is then also explained in the first paragraph of the Terms and Conditions of the offer. We offer the trial periods to give our clients a chance to use the services and see the value of them for themselves before they are billed. The trial periods are free for 7-30 days from the order date, depending on which bonuses apply, and we would not have charged you had you called customer service and canceled during the trial period as it is not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer ends.

The following is the first paragraph of the Terms and Conditions of the offer (the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy links can be found on every page of the sales ad):
Bonus Material Terms and Termination.
By purchasing this product, you agree to adhere to the termination agreement as outlined on the order page, confirmation of order page, and confirmation email, which is that you, the buyer, are not entitled to a refund of the upfront cost of any shipping and handling that may or may not have been charged to you for delivery of said product. Furthermore, any free trials that may or may not be offered with this product are only free during the said allotted time of the free trial period as outlined within the product sales page, confirmation of order page, and confirmation email. If you have not cancelled the free bonus within the free trial period (if offered on product purchasing), you are agreeing to purchase the bonus material and/or service at a monthly reoccurring cost. This can be cancelled by calling the customer service number provided in the confirmation email between the hours of 9AM and 9PM EST M-F and stating your desire to cancel said bonus material. However, in order to not be charged any future reoccurring cost, please give ample time (2 business days) to be cancelled out of any reoccurring billing system before the next scheduled charge to your account (this does not apply during any trial period). Most are the same company under different names. (Grow Rich with Real Estate) Call them and go through your list, the person I talked to confirmed them only when I asked. I never inquired about a trial offer nor would I be interested anyway. Plus I was charged and no product was ever sent which would have raised a flag.

How can a company pull up your account that you don't have by zip code and name only? That was all they asked and in less than a second the rep said that he had my account up on the screen. ? (what account?) He canceled but would not refund my money. My bank is investigating the charges.
I called my bank to inquire of the status and who to communicate with if I had more information to help them along with the investigation. The CS rep should have just laughed. Instead he was at a loss for words, so I had to laugh (cry later). I don’t think I will see my money from the bank. I thought FDIC had something to do with INSURANCE!
I like the prepaid card. Great idea... THANKS

I too bought the google kit for the 1.95 for seven day free trial. I cancelled on the 6th day and they still charged me. When I called and cancelled the lady said I wouldn't be charged for anything further. Today I read these comments and decided to check my account. They still charged me for the member fee (49.90, even though I cancelled) and then there is a 9.95 charge for ID protection (what a joke, they are the one's you need protection from.) I called my bank immediately and she said they would cancel my card, but I need to go fill out the proper paper work. I will be doing that soon!

Here is some good advice from dailyartist on how to get your money back from these Blazing Words scammers:

Steps to Recover your money

1. Cancel your credit or debit card--Get a new card with new number! Your financial information has been compromised and you will be getting further debits to that card, If not now then they could come back later when you are unaware.

2. File a fraud charge with your credit card or bank and let them sort it out. They have more muscle to go after this sort of crime. Explain to them about all the consumer complaints that are on the internet and insist that they do charge-back or file a fraud charge.

Do not waste time trying to contact the scammers, being hung up on, being on hold for hours to some call center and made to jump through their hoops like mailing stuff to a UPS address (it will just come back as undeliverable).

Contact your bank/credit card company
http://www.chrismalta.com/scamtip1.asp

Initiate a charge-back against that company by filing a fraud report with your credit card company or bank.

Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

Tell them the truth; the $72.21 charges are unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that are filed online.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state. See: http://www.chrismalta.com/scamtip1.asp

3. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Their job is to monitor and go after these types of scams. http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtm

4. File a complaint with your state Attorney General and also with the Attorney General of Utah (where a lot of the phone numbers seem to be located)

5. Filing a complaint with the BBB is toothless as the scam already is rated with a "F".

6. File complaint at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx This is a place to report internet crime and is a combination gov agency of FBI, White collar Crime and Bureau of Justice Assistance.

7. After you filed with all the above agencies feel free to call any numbers you may possess that are connected to the "unauthorized debit to try and recover your money but take their word with a grain of salt. If you succeed in getting your money returned you will have still taken steps to put their scam out of commission.

I also was "taken in" by the nominal $1.97 fee; received nothing by e-mail or the USPS. But today, thank goodness for fraud detection on my credit card, got a call from my credit card company. I had a charge for $72.21; address in Israel. A phone number was given to me for Blazing Keywords, I called and was told I would not be charged. I then obtained the phone number for the $1.97 charge and called to cancel my account with them. I was assured this was done. Will check with my credit card company tomorrow to see if this is resolved. At present there is a hold on this credit card. One option is to discontinue this card and get a new one. But I know all the numbers by heart. Maybe it would be good if I didn't!

Good luck to all of the rest of us who are looking for easy money. Hard work, or a lucky inheritance, are the only way.

Google unauthorized deduction from bank

I was curious to take a look at a CD Published/sold by Google on making money from home. The only cost was shipping and I approved a charge of $1.97 from my bank account. I never received the CD and 2 weeks later another $72.27 was deducted from my bank account. I called, cancelled and was told I would receive a refund in 7-10 days. The 10th day would have been May 13th. No word from them and they have not returned my money. I called them back and was told they tried to refund the money and that access was denied by my bank and they would not attempt to return my money again. I called the bank to verify that Google had made the attempt and Chase Bank said no attempt had been made by Google to refund my money. LIARS! SCAM ! BEWARE! My bank is following up with BBB and will notify the industry of fraudulent charges by this company.

Google scam - charged $72.21 & won't refund

This company charged $72.21 to my VISA and refuses to refund it. I did not authorize this charge, nor did I receive the "product" of access to their online information. I never received a confirmation email or any information that said I would be charged $72.21. The only notification I received of the charge was on my VISA statement. By the time I got my statement and saw the charge the "30 day refund period" had passed - by ONE day. Therefore, they say there is nothing they can do to refund my money. This is such a scam - stay far, far away...

Today. 6/3/2009 I contacted Google after I saw where the money that was taken from my account. I spoke with Nikka and she put a stop to the goings on, whatever that may be. I informed her that I would be speaking with my bank. The amount of money from my bank was $72.21. I assured her that I was going to complain.

Google unauthorized debit

The amount of $72.21 was charged to my bank account, and indicated as a debit charge. When I called the number indicated for the charge, I was told that I had ordered a cd from Google Treasure Chest, and that since I had not cancelled the "service" within the allotted time, I would have a monthly reoccurring charge of $72.21. Of course, I had the charge cancelled. The "third party" agency I spoke with stated that they received several calls similar to mine. I immediately called my bank to dispute the charge.

Please note that I regularly delete emails from companies such as Google Treasure Chest, and would not authorize someone taking a monthly fee from me for services I do not receive. Who are these people, and how can they do what they do. I want my money back, but, more importantly, what can be done to stop theft such as this? What can I do?

Of course, I now am paranoid using my debit card.

Respectfully,
Bethenia D. Price
