GoldenWest Management Rudeness and lack of follow up

Veronica and Jason you should be ashamed . Don't be surprised when you see an ad posted that follows your viewers warning about how bad and rude your service has been . Creepy crawlers work . Don't worry I went and had my own keys made Veronica 2.25 per key . Business people should also show up on time and have correct addresses on paper work . Good luck

GoldenWest Management property management

This company is a joke! I honestly have no idea how they are still in business! Jayson is a chauvinist know it all! He has absolutely no decorum or class! Dishonest and sloppy with their work. My gut feeling was to terminate the agreement before these "amazing" tenants ever moved in. But I wanted to give them a chance! The person they have "handling" my account is unfortunely inexperienced, forgetful, and unprofessional sounds like he didn't even graduate high school much less of anything else. All Jayson does is yells at you when you don't agree with him. He just hung up on me and continued to call me a crazy person! Unreal! I expressed to him that I wish to terminate the agreement but he felt that calling me names was the professional way to go about it. He actually yelled at me and told me to have my husband call him the Navy man. Just beyond appalling! I am now contacting BBB and other agencies as something is seriously wrong here. I have never not even on my worst day had anyone speak to me in such a manner! They send out repair men that very clearly are padding the bill. I'm sure the IRS would love to take a look at them as well. My tenants have been in my home all of 3 weeks and they have cost me hundreds! The home is brand new in remodeled condition and was on the market for 2 months! (Golden west could not even get the place rented in a timely reasonable manner). You do get what you pay for, save yourself the headache and pay a little more to have a real professional team work for you and YOUR investment! Oh and they attempted to have us sign a new management agreement AFTER we already signed one with them with a ton of fine print changes that gives them more money, more liberties etc. Criminals! See the DocuSign screen shot this "professional" sent me. Aside from screaming at me and hanging up this is how he follows up to me firing him.

To date I received my owner deposit that did not match any numbers I worked or had. The owner deposit also did not match the owner statement by almost $1000! I requested the an explanation and the company failed to provide me with one. They are stating that I am now harassing them. They have my money and refuse to communicate or give a reasonable explanation. I had to call the sheriffs office to inquire if what they were doing legal. I have a formal case number with the BBB and the BRE. SCAM ARTIST

GoldenWest Management Tenants and owners beware and avoid if at all possible

Goldenwest management is a first rate rip - off organization. This is our first experience with them, and to date, they have been extremely difficult and unresponsive to very reasonable requests, like heat and running water.

We were knowingly rented a 45 - year old condo, in a 55 - and - over community, with no functioning heating system. Shelise murray, the sales agent, was asked directly and specifically by us if the heat worked during the showing of the property on march 8, 2016. She looked right at us, and told us she had tested it herself, and it worked fine. Wow, lying to tenants before even signing the lease. And, about a habitability issue like heat?

On move in march 28, the fuse to the ceiling heating unit was shut off at the circuit breaker. We called sdg&e to see if the unit was safe to use, and they vehemently said no, not until a contractor looked at it.In june we submitted a repair request for the heat to goldenwest management. Mr yoss made fun of us for wanting our heat even addressed in the summertime (See his yelp rebuttal).

After 6 - months, and reporting mr. Yoss to the california board of real estate because of our lack of heat, we finally saw a heating contractor. Although, no decision has been made yet about when/if we will get heat.
We reported mr. Yoss to the california board of real estate a second time for making a serious effort to evict us for continuing to ask for heat! He actually had the eviction terms drawn up and waiting for us to accept.

4 months after we moved in, our 18 - year old kitchen faucet failed. Mr. Yoss and goldenwest management have charged us a copay to repair it. This is a habitability issue, and completely illegal in california, with a superior court precedent set in 1974! Goldenwest management is trying to charge us a $60 copay for replacing our kitchen faucet. Thus, we reported mr. Yoss to the california board of real estate for a third time in 6 - months.

And, he is currently under investigation.

It is important to note that mr. Yoss writes in his rebuttal of my gwm yelp review: "dr" malkoff has verbally abused most of the gwm staff, the hoa management staff, and the hoa board in the community in which she rents. She finds the need to belittle others, and make bigoted comments".
My wife and I have asked mr. Yoss no fewer than six times for a list of the hoa people we've abused or offended, with no reply. Truth is, neither my wife nor I have ever met any members of the hoa board, and only one member of the hoa management staff. So I am thinking this list must be pretty short. Seriously, where is that "list of the abused", jason?
And, then to call me a bigot? Really? My wife and I are jewish doctors, public health practitioners, gay and married, democrats who speak fluent spanish. Pretty sure we're the opposite of bigots. Everyone who knows us would laugh at this comment, as we are remarkably inclusive. Maybe some projection is going on there by mr. Yoss... Quien sabe? No lo comprendo!

Finally, goldenwest is all about the money and keeping owners happy. Tenant beware! Read the website... There is not one mention of respecting tenants or keeping them happy. Only talk about owners and making them money! You will find yuri to have absolutely no compassion nor empathy for tenants! Be prepared to wait many days to weeks for contractor and maintenance tasks to be approved and completed. And there is a reason jason was never commissioned past captain in the usmc: even the marines could tell he was a poor leader. Although, to his credit, jason has made a pathetic effort at being a major by creating a company, in three states, much too large for his poor little brain to run effectively. He is seemingly incapable of discerning the differences in the laws within and between the three states he is licensed. For example, his command of california landlord - tenant law is either pathetic, or he simply has no regard for it.

Life is too short to ever deal with jason yoss and goldenwest management, inc. No matter how much you love the place, it's not worth it! Do yourself the biggest favor ever, and just walk away.

GoldenWest Management Rip-off

Attention property owners and prospective tenants! Don't get involved with goldenwest management (Phoenix, san diego area, & las vegas) or caliber property management (A clone of goldenwest management in tucson) !
The owner jayson yoss previously wrote his own company a 5 star yelp review (Which yelp promptly deleted for violating their terms of service or content guidelines) and on yp (04 / 23 / 2012) and still visible. He also directed his office managers to solicit reviews from clients. Unethical! Worse than that is saying that goldenwest management's office in tucson is closed to try to escape the bad reviews, only to change the name to caliber property management with the same address, suite #, & telephone #! Really unethical! Wow! He must think people are stupid. Yes he is a piece of work. I'd use a different four letter word but this is a g - rated review. I wish i would have read the agreement more closely. I had to learn the hard way. It' scary to realize that they operate in three states (Arizona, california, & nevada) . The owner is more interested in collecting fees than providing customer service or protecting his client's property investments. We are property owners (Landlords) . He likes to blame bad reviews on unhappy tenants. Happy tenants make for happy landlords and, judging by the reviews, this company has neither. His company doesn't care how long it takes to get a property rented because, once it's initially rented, they will continue to collect monthly management fees regardless of occupancy status. The landlord has to pay a commission fee to the realtor who refers the tenant to the company not to mention a $295 initial admin fee. Try to cancel the agreement when a lease is in effect and you'll pay monthly management fees for the remaining lease term. The management agreement also states that "manager shall be entitled to collect and keep as compensation all miscellaneous fines and fees from tenant to include but not limited to late, multiple checks, administration, pet and non - sufficient funds fees". Therefore they have a financial incentive to seek out tenants that have pets because they charge the tenant $250 per pet as a non - refundable pet fee. The more pets the merrier! It's pure 100% profit to the management company. It doesn't go to the landlord who may experience pet damage at his property. If a tenant is late paying rent and the bank charges a late fee because the landlord's mortgage payment is late, the management company gets the tenant's late fee! The landlord has to pay the bank fee himself. So you probably realize that the theme of this review is fees, fees, and more fees.
Tenant or landlord - - there are better companies out there. Save yourself some grief and steer clear of goldenwest management (Phoenix, san diego area, & las vegas) or caliber property management (A clone of goldenwest management in tucson) !

GoldenWest Management Non communication or fixing of things

As a tenant renting under these guys have to say they are awful! We send emails they never respond, we asked for a tree to be fixed that had fallen into the driveway almost 8 months ago and they still have never responded or done anything, they never get us the new rental agreement on time-we have to constantly reach out to them to get it done, they do not communicate at all!
We as the tenants have nothing but issues with them. We pay early each month, we respond quickly to any issues the HOA comes up with and we respond quickly to any email they send but they do not have that same courtesy with us! If you are hiring them to do you property management just understand they lie to you and to your renters, they do not communicate with your renters and they do not fix the things that need fixing. We have rented this house since March 0f 2013 and it has been a struggle dealing with these people ever since. Very disappointed in these people!

Jayson Yoss is the "founder" of this scam company. Sherry Chaffin is the "manager" of this scam company. They went on the internet and created all of these fake postings about how great of a company they are and a lot of people (us included) feel for their bogus social media campaign. Yellow Pages (which is another joke in and of itself) and City search...
