This company is a total scam. Do not do business with them. What their trick is, is that they DO NOT give you a rough estimate of your phone and and there is no way to know how much your phone is worth, so they send you a prepaid FedEx label and then you wait until you get a final amount which could be $0, and if you disagree with them, they will say too bad so sad and there is absolutely no way to get your phone back. Other sites at least give you a quote and they don't so you have no way of knowing at all what they will give you. Stay away from them use other sites such as maxback.com, gazelle.com, etc. They are total scam to the max.

I wish I would have seen this page before dealing with them. I sent them an Iphone 5 that had water damage on the inside and it would not power on, however the case and screen were pristine. We filled out everything as we were supposed to about the phone and the estimate for payment came back as $100 - $117, so we sent it in. After not hearing from them within their turn around time we contacted them with no further results. Two weeks later we received a check in the mail from them for $20.00. When I called them and asked to talk to a manager they told me one would get back to me via a phone call. Three days later a supervisor called me and stated that the phone had internal water damage and was appraised at $20.00, she also said that an email was sent to us advising of the price drop and we were given three days to ask for the phone back. I told her I never got the e-mail and all she could say was that "all deals are final". I asked her why they would not contact us via phone to afford us the opportunity to refuse the transaction, however she said it is not our policy. I went home and checked our e-mail and discovered that they indeed sent us an e-mail however it was sent by an e-mail user named CJ Environmental and filtered right to our SPAM Folder. Why would a company named GIZMOGUL send e-mails under that name, because they want them to be deleted and filtered as SPAM so the can execute price reductions when the 3 days expire with no recourse. I WARN ANYONE WANTING TO SELL A PHONE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF... THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN...

I will not be sending my phone because your site does False advertising... first they give you an attractive price range, then you click to "lets do it" and a form ask for your personal info for them to "send you a quote" and I did not receive that, instead I received a FedEx label stating to get my own box, when your site clearly states (with a video) that you are sending a box etc. etc... I have used Gazelle before and they are awesome. I chose you because your value for the phone was higher, however, with no written quote, I can't trust you. Keep your label and learn to do honest business. Just because you are small company doesn't mean you have to rip folks off. I've been doing this too long to fall for it. Thanks but no thanks!

We are so sorry to read that your experience with Gizmogul wasn't pleasant. Gizmogul is a small, family run electronics recycling business. As far as destroying devices goes, Gizmogul recycles all materials that have no secondary aftermarket value. All items are recycled properly in accordance with state, federal and EPA regulations. We quote a value for customers' devices on our website. If a customer receives a quote range for a particular item, Gizmogul stands behind that quote 100%. However, if a device or 4 devices are sent in that we don't offer payment for, or you accidentally misrepresented your devices when the customer was filling out the form, we are forced to simply recycle that device upon receipt. It costs Gizmogul to mail customers a shipping package, and Gizmogul has to pay for the return shipping as well. In cases where customers send us devices with no value, Gizmogul loses money! We can't afford to store those devices and then pay a third shipping fee to send a customer back a device that has no aftermarket value. That being said, if you need a Certificate of Data Destruction, that's no problem, call the office at [protected], ask for Lauren and she'll get you a certificate. We've had thousands of happy customers who get exactly what they're expecting to receive. We are striving to be the best company we can be. I hope you understand we're not out to "get anyone." In fact, we want to be the good guys. So, on behalf of us all, we are terribly sorry for your experience, feel free to call the office to discuss it more. Also, we're a bit understaffed right now, we're growing and it's hard to offer the best possible service you can, and give everyone undivided attention when your company is growing at an alarming rate. We are getting inundated with devices and are trying to keep up!

I sent in my phone two weeks ago, and I have phoned them twice and e-mailed them, once. I have not heard from them, since the fourteen days have passed. I will contact the BBB and the AG, if I don't get any results by Monday.

Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews, before I sent in my phone, to understand the extent to which this company is trouble.

I sent my phone in 4 months ago. I contacted them via E-mail asking if they could give me the status of my phone. They said they would check in with it and get back to me. They never did. I contacted them about 3 times after that and received no reply. Also, conveniently enough, their number "wasn't available in my area". I'm in Canada, B.C. So...WTF. Scam artists.

I just had the same problem with Gimogul. I sent a phone in good working order i had just changed models from 3G TO 4G they told me on phone that i would get $40. They had my phone for a month after i called two times to ask about processing. I got a email say my phone had no valve and they couldn't send it back. So they just scrapped it for precious metals and kept the money for there self. Scam artisit to the max.

I just found out from those thieves that they supposedly scrapped my phones. I don't believe that they scrapped two phones that work I think they sold them and the money. I checked the BBB with other name they use and they have twenty some complaints against them. We all need to get together and file a complaint with someone I just don't know who to contact.
Anyone have any ideas about who to call.

I'm so angry right now I just got off the phone with those thieves who told me after I had been waiting to get a price on my phones that have already scrapped them . Does anyone know who I can contact to file a complaint with beccause what they are doing is stealing. The phones I sent them still worked and I think they sold them and that is why none can get our phones back.

Agreed! Complete scam. Technicians said my 3 phones had no value and they could not send phones back because shipping cost more than the value of said phones. But their website says there is precious metals in even complete junk phones.. took forever to find these review and obviously the reviews on their website are fake. please don't use this place they pretty much steal your phones.

I have sent two phones to this company. I have contacted them three times and was told that it would take 3-5 business days to evaluate my phones and so far it has been ten days. If anyone knows who to contact to file a complaint please send an email to dlanford@roadrunner.com
Thanks

I'm starting to agree, its been over two weeks since I sent two of my phones in and all they keep telling me is that my phones are still in evaluation stage. Ive asked for my phones back and they told me pretty much to be patient because they don't send out checks blindly. In my opinion I shouldve already had a check frm them. So please nobody use them, they scam you and you don't get any money .
