Gift Boxes Shop review: order never shipped from chinese box manufacturer after full payment ($3,170) was made 1

I came across http://www.giftboxshop.org on a Google search for custom manufactured rigid gift boxes and white corrugated shipping boxes. I used their contact form to obtain more information and was immediately contacted via email by their representative, Michael, on August 1, 2016. Michael was very prompt to reply and clearly outlined their process over email. His English is very good so he was much easier to correspond with than other Chinese suppliers.

We went through a full design process, where he was very quick to provide artwork and photo samples of our produced boxes. We even sent hammer samples of our product for custom foam inserts which we later saw in photos with our box samples and custom foam.

We paid 10% of our formal invoice up front to produce the samples, then we paid the remaining balance of our $3, 174 bill after he said our boxes were ready to ship. He only accepted a wire transfer of funds, which should have been our biggest red flag. We have a physical address, and their bank information from the transaction, but he went quiet after receiving the funds and never shipped our boxes. We have over 100 emails between our two companies on file. This is a fraudulent company who stole $3, 170 from us, and never delivered the 5, 000 boxes we ordered.

Our customs broker checked with their overseas counterpart and didn't have any information, good or bad, on this company.

They come across as very professional but are out to take your money.
