Unauthorized charge
Complaint Rating: 100 % with 9 votes
Company information:
gglprofit
Nevada
United States

I was billed on my personal credit card for this service as well as future charges were to be made for additional services this company is associated with WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. I found the charge on my credit card and the representative said that my wife authorized the on-line charge of $39.95 for this service. At no time did my wife or anyone else authorized to use the card allow this charge to be made. The rep on the phone kept asking personal questions to "verify my account" information which only led me to believe they never had that information originally and were going to use it to make more charges. I notified my credit card company of this charge and am very concerned that there is a security break on this card. The rep for gglprofit.com did cancel the service and gave me confirmation numbers so I hope it will be carried out.

I corroborate this story. I received a disc in the mail in mid June with a bunch of "Google" logos printed all over the mailer, and it looked like some cartoony affiliate marketing crap for the simple minded. I tossed it in the trash. Today I received a Visa statement identifying a $2.29 unauthorized charge posted on 6/20 by gglprofit.com. Some very cursory internet research indicates that they slam people who never order their service with charges. The thing that has me paranoid is HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER?

I would NOT have gone back to gglprofit.com and given them more specific information. This is an instance of billing fraud in my case and therefore, providing them with more information is simply an invitation to enroll me in more "programs". I filed a dispute directly with my credit card company so that the credit card company will put one more black mark of chargeback against them.

Beware, it looks like fedgrantusa.com and gglprofit.com may be the same company. Check out their websites. I've received charges from both of them 3 days apart!

I received the charge on my CC as well as receiving the CD in the mail. The problem is that I never ordered/requested/subscribed to this. In fact, since I had no idea what the CD was for, I threw it away.

Guess I'll be calling the customer service number (or just call my CC).

I also have been billed for networkagenda.com and gglprofit.com at $7.95 and $9.95. They charged my bank debit card. Which caused my account to be over drawn, so i get charged a daily fee for this.
I did however, call the number and was given a conf. no. and was told charges would be reversed. The Rep. also gave me a no. for networkagenda.com
If anyone else needs this no., it is...800-418-9320
Good luck to you all.

I had a tiny charge show up from these folks, $2.29. I had it reversed and blocked, never contacted GGLPROFIT because, well, I never contacted them to begin with. I'd never even heard of them until I looked them up from the charge.

So Administrator or whoever wrote the "TOS/'It's your own fault'" apology up there... shove it. Someone on your side charged me for something I not only never signed up for OR recieved, but never even knew existed.

I hope all the pending lawsuits put GGLPROFIT out of business, permanently.

I see from all the comments above that I am not alone. I received a bogus $2.29 charge from gglprofit.com two weeks ago. I had receive a CD in the mail as many of you have. I wonder how they got my contact info and my CC#.

Today I received another bogus charge. This time from fedgrantusa.com. In a way, I am relieved. I was afraid my CC# had been sold and that I would have to have the card canceled, what a hassle. I have contested both charges with my CC company. Since I download transactions on a regular basis, I have seen both of these charges before I even got the bill. It is common practice for a CC thief to make a small charge to verify the card number before going for a bigger score, or selling it to others My hope is that if I challenge them quickly enough, they will lose interest in me.

A few months ago I had similar problem with a genealogy company in Utah. I canceled that card #, but it was a pain. I am hoping to avoid that this time.

I also found a $2.29 posting against my bank statement recently with a description as follows...www.gglprofit.com and an 800 phone number. When you do a google search using the web address they send you to a site that gives you the same 800 number as well as a link that allows you to email information to this mystery company.

I called the 800 number to complain and they take you through a series of questions starting with your name and zip code. They come back and say "I'm sorry but I was unable to find your account" and then ask you for your telephone number, email address and no matter what you give them they can never find your account. Strange huh. THEN as a last resort they ask you for your credit card number. I refused. She then asked if I can fax my bank statement to them. Yeh, Right, let me do that right now.

I went to my bank and immediately got a new debit card closing out my old debit card. I have a hard time understanding how they got my debit card number to begin with and why they only got me for $2.95. I'm thankful but still mad for all the aggravation I had to go thru.

I have not seen any other charges so I hope I'm finished with these thieves. You may want to do the same and replace your credit or debit cards with new ones.

I also had this bogus $2.29 charge. They kept asking me if I wanted my login info! No, I didn't sign up for anything, I didn't want ANYTHING from them. I also made them verify my information, not the other way around. Apparently they had my e-mail address slightly misspelled and my wrong phone number. They had my correct address though. I was also signed up for the other two services. The Grant one and the Network Agenda. I had caught this before I was billed for them though. I have no idea how they got my info though, I rarely use this card for purchases. I called my bank immediately after and cancelled the card though, better safe than sorry.

I just noticed these charges as well on my statement. gglprofit.com, fedgrantusa.com and network agenda. Coincidentally I also just received a letter from bike nashbar.com stating their website servers were illegally attacked and the unknown persons got names, emails, account numbers, passwords and credit/debit card numbers. I believe this is where my information came from with these fraudulent charges as the customer service person I dealt with mentioned and email address I used for bike nashbar.com. This was my old work address which I have not used since January when I was laid off. They have agreed to refund the charges so hopefully they will show up on my next statement.

It all starts with a Google Profit CD Kit, (www.reb-mill.com) advertised in USD for $1.14, = AUD $1.48, u get a free trial, etc, then if u dont CANX your trial offer, Which they seem to forget to give you the CANX site address... U get charged!!
www.fedgrantusa.com $7.95 USD
www.networkingagenda.com $9.95 USD
www.gglprofit.com $39.95 USD (google profit kit)
Typical Scams!!!

The response by " Customer Service Administrator" sounds exactly like the double talk that my credit card anti fraud representative got from the person at gglprofit.com when they called to question these charges with me on the line. I also got slammed with the three charges in a row: 7.95 from Fedgrantusa, 59.95 from gglprofit, and 9.95 from Networka Endacom. This followed the 2.29 charge the previous month. It appears that they start with a small charge to verify the card and then ramp up to the larger charges.

The GGLprofit person I spoke with made it sound like they had a legitimate record of an order from me. Basically, if you get charged without making a purchase, and you contact gglprofit.com, they will cite an order that you supposedly placed. They are basically concocting orders out of thin air. They won't admit anything.

My credit card company is treating this as an instance of fraud. I had the credit card canceled and re-issued.

Regarding the Bicycle Nashbar connection, I ordered a pair of shorts from Nashbar in July 2007 on the same credit card. Nashbar's servers were hacked in December '09 - it is all over the net - and many Nashbar customers have been charged by gglprofit and the other scumbag affiliates. So anyone who has used a credit card with Bicycle Nashbar in the past is susceptible to being slammed by gglprofit.

Hey Google Customer Service guy. Your explaination is complete BS. I too have found a similar charge of $2.99 on my account. I have never ordered anything - trial or otherwise - from Google; nor would I as I don't agree with Google's political initiatives. If I get yet another charge of some $60 bucks like that other person who wrote in, there's going to be some really pissed off people starting to contact you directly.

In fact a girl called my cell phone just last week and said "I understand you have signed up to learn how to make money using Google". I said I'd done no such thing. She simply said "oh" and hung up. Real professional.

You people are frauds, and thieves.

It's NOT Google and has absolutely nothing to do with Google except trading on the Google name. It's some scam operation called "Google Money Profit" that is operated out of the Phillipines. gglprofit appears to be operating a phishing operation by billing stolen credit card numbers for services never ordered.
