Georgia Roofmasters Inc review: Took my deposit and Disappeared/Stole my money

In 2010, owner Glen Grindley took my deposit and disappeared. I tried for several years to contact the company, in 2013 owner Glen Grindley told me he was out of business. I believed that they were out of business, until recently I saw the same business cards around town that were submitted to me. It meant Glen had lied to me, they were never out of business, he just changed the president of the company. Melani Grindley is now the owner, his wife, great hiding technique. When I realized they were still in business, I tried to contact Melani, thinking she would be a little more rational. I just got a lot of random bizarre excuses. Such as, " Glen was going through a depression" or" a lot of people don't pay us". I do not know what that had to do with my situation. Need less to say, she was just as guilty as he was. They are both thieves . They both now know they stole my money with no product or services rendered and chose to not do a thing about it. A company with any integrity would of realized their error an wanted to make it right. I also would like to add, Glen Grindley tried to use the intimidation act to resolve the issue. Instead of admitting to his theft he kept getting in my face saying he was justified to keep the money because he thought it was a insurance claim. It was not an insurance claim. I wrote him a personal cashiers check. I have a copy to prove it. I don't really don't understand his thinking either way. I also have a letter from my insurance proving there was no claim ever made on my house. In 2013, after Glen told me he was out of business, I hired another, more honest roofer to put a roof on my house. The bottom line is, Glen Grindley stole money without any service or product. He did nothing except take the deposit check and disappear. He is not a member of the BBB even though it states on his website that they are. I suspect they find it more desirable to not have the company on the BBB so they can get away with their "wrong doings" without any consequences.
