I had a mini millennium lift on the left side of my face on July 30, 2008 which left me in constant pain and it also resulted in my ear being elongated and disfiured. So I don't have an earlobe, and it is not aligned with my jawline, but rather juts into my face. I have been a patient of Dr Yang's for 3 years and believed he was one of the "good guys." But even though he admitted to having made a "mistake" and even once told me that if he were to "fix" it -- the problem would only come back -- which tells me I will need repeated surgeries because of this botched procedure -- he has refused to give me a refund or even settle and offer to pay another surgeon to fix it.

I have been very disappointed in him, to say the least. It is important for anyone who chooses a surgeon to research them thoroughly. And, in this case, I feel everyone should know that prior to opening his private practice, Dr Yang worked at the LifeStyle Lift office in New Jersey. I am a business consultant, do some PR work, among other things, and wrote a press release for Dr Yang when he first opened his practice. During our Q+A he told me the Lifestyle Lift place was a scam "bring em in, get em out, " -- everything was a scam -- from how the phone was answered to the sign today and get the sale price to the surgeries. So that most of the face lifts were botched.

That should have tipped me off, because anyone with honorable intentions and someone who has sworn to "do no harm" would have not worked in a place which disfigures people daily. However, he stayed there for a long while. I paid a high price with my face for having trusted him (he is a likeable fellow), but I urge everyone to thoroughly research your doctors. Just because you see a mild mannered nice guy doesn't mean they're qualified to perform facial surgery on you.

Would I recommend Dr Yang. Very simply: no.

Sommers

PS I stopped off yesterday to pick up my medical records and although I called twice to confirm -- when I showed up the office was CLOSED and both he and his receptionist DISAPPEARED! Which translates into he went into hiding!

My attorney called them and the story of my medical records changed -- suddenly my records are in "storage" and they need time to get them. TRANSLATION: he may be altering them ! Which, if caught means he loses his medical license.

Bottom line: Buyer Beware.

The good reviews Are fake. In order to find this board ypu have to type "george yang complaints" . If you type "george yang reviews it will not come up. I think someone happy with this dr's work would be likely to type dr yang's review and woul not google complaints. I wish i had used thr word complaints when i googled his reviews and I would have avoided hell i am going through after his botched procedure!

brenda, did he alter your medical records? i am a lawyer and my best friend had a botched procedure with him too. he did a terrible filler job and it won't dissolve. if it doesn't get fixed we are looking into getting a histological report to verify the authenticity of the product. if she can't fix it, we will have a lawsuit and i will represent her. have you considered filing a lawsuit?

It's sad to hear this . I guess all Drs make mistakes.
I have found him to be completely the opposite. Very patient, overly perfectionistic, and not a money brother like so many adds in Manhattan
I am a model and have to have conservative perfection...he's very much a perfectionist, in my experience, with a patient and kind bedside manner. My experiences have been totally different .

I had a very different and pleasant experience with Dr. yang. Got Asian eyelid surgery back in April 2010 and am so happy went back to him two days ago to get another procedure (thought I wanted Pelleve but he explained and convinced that I should get Restylane instead.)

My eyelid surgery was tricky because unlike most Asians I wasn't trying to create folds (already had them). The issue was worsening asymmetry due to the upper lids hollowing unevenly from aging. I lived in NYC so consulted several surgeons but dr yang strikes me as more patient, passionate, and knowledgeable about the surgical techniques for different ethnicities. Some other docs had suggested forehead lift but dr yang won my trust that eyelid surgery plus restylane to fill out the hollows would be appropriate. So I took the leap.

Procedures was done at his office and went smoothly. Eyes now look not only natural but SYMMETRICAL. Incredible. Before the procedure dr yang was up front that there would be improvement but no guarantee about the symmetry. But I can't be more pleased. So much so I agreed to let him pose my cropped pics on his site.

Two days ago I went back thinking I wanted Pelleve but dr yang explained that a little Restylane instead would give me what I desired - a fuller, more refreshed, rested face. Had a little under the lower eyelids and along the smile lines. Again the result was a very natural look and I am very happy. The cost would have been similar to a Peeleve procedure but he guided me to get the right one which was extremely helpful.

I don't think it's is possible to please everyone as people go in to see a doc or surgeon with different motivations and emotional health. That can affect your communications, expectations, and outcome. I have been a Wall Street stocks and bond analyst for years and am rigorous about my picks. From my own experience I am very happy with dr yang and will likely continue going back.

Ignore my previous comment. It was meant for another section. I don't know how it got on to this one.

Brenda,
Not only 5 complaints in one day but many more of the multiple complaints here and elsewhere by the same person using many many different multiple screen names. Person posting has several different screen names on each of the multiple websites he lodges his complaints which he uses to support or talk to his other multiple screen names. Yes, it is annoying. He cries that the doctor is gagging him but even on the doctors own message board where this poster has a complaint under one of his many multiple screen names, the doctor has not removed it which would be the easiest thing in the world for the doctor to do since he has the delete button on his own board.

I agreed about this ###. I was on MakeMeHeal.com and asked him some questions about my extremely botched surgeries and he attacked me abusively by stating that I must have asked my surgeon to operate on me that way. What an ###. Can anyone believe that this idiot doctor on that site responding back to my question that I asked another surgeon to give me the deformed look on my face?

Yes, I agreed this Dr. George Yang is full of ###. Don't ask him any questions on MakeMeHeal.com cuz he makes no sense.
