G3 Telecom Return of overpaid funds

I have an ongoing complaint which started in July 2020.
covered by their tracking numbers A00015246767 - [protected].
I owed a balance of £308.77 which I paid on July 21st by bank transfer, they claimed not to have received. I received a further demand on August 25th and again paid £320 again by bank transfer. They appear to have received July payment but not yet acknowledged by them, they will not return the August payment. They do not respond to and e mails or to the manager of their Castleford branch who took up my complaint on 25th August by their internal mail system, which brought the result of the above tracking numbers.
I have sent 2 e mails to their proofs department, but am not getting any response.
maybe you can get some response.

G3 Telecom Absolutely incompetent

These folks in early 2016 took over our Telna SIM cards which we had used as our main SIM cards for about 5 years. Since they took over, nothing but problems - to the point that they don't even know what our Telna SIM phone numbers are! They kept listing our outbound caller ID numbers, which on Telna you could set to anything that's convenient to receive inbound calls. In the meantime, it turned out that our original mobile numbers were dropped and given to somebody else. Worse yet, in around 6 phone calls over three months they could not fix the issue, for example by giving us new numbers, always saying "an engineer will call you back within 24h". But it never happens - and last time I even tried to track down the engineer I talked to the day before, Roel. He promised me he'd call back the next day (after being already 3 days late), but he never did either. Recently they come with the excuse that I have an outstanding balance of 30 some dollars and that's why the SIM cards don't work, which isn't the case at all. So today I cancelled in frustration - and was told indeed I don't have an outstanding balance - of course. And yet, when I go into my account, it now lists an outstanding balance of $80.00! I call back and am told that this is also a mistake. Worst. Company. Ever. Telna, why have you forsaken me!

G3 Telecom Rate and Customer Service

Got a shocker of my life as far as calling rate is concerned. This company is worse than the corner payday loan store! My rate went from less than $0.15/min to $1.05/min! What kind of company is this to increase their rate that much by just send a memo to their recently acquired customers from Telna! What a shame! This company should be allow to operate in the US, or anywhere for that matter. My bill went from less than $30/month to over $100/month with same called number, but this time with less minute. Why do TELNA sold their business to G3 - Information that I got doing some digging. Well here goes at least ten customers - family and friends that I referred to over the years.

G3 Telecom Billing

This complaint is to warn potential and existing customers of G3 Telecom
of this company's deceitful tactics.

I was a customer with G3 Telecom since 2013 using a monthly pre-paid international plan of 4.99 US$ for 500 minutes to call my mom in Belgium. The rate for Belgium in their "world Bundle" was 1 cent/minute.
Lately since Nov 2015, my account kept on not having enough credit to make calls.
Lo and Behold, I just found out that G3 Telecom changed their rate for calls to Belgium from 1 cent to 12 cent a minute, WITHOUT any notice of change.
The funny thing is that even Belgium is part of BeNeLux (BElgium, NEderlands, LUxembourg), it has changed from 1 cent to 12 cent/min when the Nederlands and Luxembourg rate stay the same at 1 cent/min.
Doesn't it sound like 'rate targeting' ?

I had just canceled my account with them and opened a new account with their competitor Toolani. There are a lot of telecom companies offering competitive rates and G3 is not the only one !

G3 Telecom Repeated charges on my credit card

After noticing an unusual pattern of charges on my credit card, I ask them to interrupt the automatic refill charge done to my account everytime the balance the balance fall under $5.00. The following month I refill my account once for $20, a week later when I tried to call the balance on my account was 0; I tried to call them afterwards, to my supprise each time that i call an order confirmation of $21.80 was mailed to me.
When I ask them to reverse these charges (3x), they were vague and rude. I will stay away from this company if one is shopping.

G3 Telecom unauthorized charges

Beware of this fraudulent company! They charge you for phone calls that did not go through, and will only refund the money if a customer calls in this complaint. So that means for every call right after you have to call them to refund your money. That is ridiculous in itself to expect the customer to catch their "system errors" and report them. And even after that, they will only refund 2 days of bs charges at most.

I am not working with the company. I actually wok with T-Mobile I realize that every drop call doesn't create any alarm so the employees could check it everytime and refund it to the customer. I'm a customer too and get this drop calls at times. It's frustrating, really, but do their system rings an alarm when a customer gets a drop call? Or we say do they receive an email everytime a customer gets a drop call? I don't think so. If all major carriers US or Canada have that system, then no customer will call to complain about drop calls. Every carrier gets the same issue but every carrier too has their refund policy. I am not in the position to question my company to provide such "high tech" system to end the issue, but if they can create one, then it's going to be better for us customers, don't you think? :)

well it is actually not the individual's responsibility to check each time you make a phone call. It is trust that we are working and the company has to be accountable for fair charges to your bill . BTW are you working for the company Mia?

I'm a G3 user too for the longest time but it doesn't mean that the company is fraud if your call did not connect and you got charged. If you know drop call, then probably you understand that when a call went through for few seconds then you will get charged. Of course the company cannot monitor your everyday calls so its your responsibility to check it yourself for drop calls. I've been with few drop calls before and I know every company has its protocol when to refund your money. I know some telecom company who doesn't.

G3 Telecom Wrong billing

I am a customer of G3 Telecom, 1039 McNicoll Ave, Toronto, Ontario M1W 3W6 (www.g3telecom.com) for the last 6 years. I am using their long distance service to call abroad. That service was prepaid I always buy $20 through internet using my credit card and I had never been a problem with them.

For my profile they asked my address, phone number, the name of company where I work, work phone number etc at the time when I signed for their service.

In August 09, they offered me to use their direct dial service in order get cheaper rate, and they asked my credit card detail which I provided them.

According to them it would take about 7 days to activate the service.

I found that service was not activated within the promised time. I called the customer service and they told it takes some time. I repeated the same thing for 2 or 3 days intervals and they had the same answer.

After about one month some of the costumer service representative informed me that service has been activated for the last one month and I am using that.

I checked my account and found my office phone number [protected]) under my account and a lot of calls being made using that number and they charged $64.99 from my credit card dated August 04, 2009.

It made me upset and next day I called the costumer service, they transferred me to some supervisor and the supervisor apologized me and promised that due to some reason he cannot refund my amount but it will be credited to my account and for the future when I will make the calls I can use the same credit. I accepted the offer. He said that the teller mistakenly activated my job number and he will activate my original home number i.e [protected] within few days

I used the service and instead off giving me credit they again charged $ 68.22 from my credit card.

I called them again (Supervisor Brine) and he pretended that he did not know anything what happened to my account. He said they never promised me to give any credit. I have to pay for each call made through my office number because I provided the office number to them.

I argued that why I give you my office phone number which is a switch board number and about 750 employees are using that number. I told that this number is in my profile and your company activated that number by mistake and some one in your company accepted that. He said he does not know anything and I have to be responsible for the call made using the office number.

He was persisting that how some one got my job number, I told it is in my profile because I checked several times that my job number [protected]) is in my profile. Now that number is missing and my home number is entered instead but still the extension number is existing which is 707. It does not make any sense that my home number is there and my extension is with my home number.

I request you sir that please ask them to return my money and secure my credit card information for the future.

G3 Telecom Double charging!

I was sold on G3 for the ability to make calls overseas from my cell phone and I will be charged the land line rate. I registered my cell phone and my wife cell phone to be authorized. The first time happened to me I tried to phone UK, I dialed the local phone number given by G3 as I do when I use my land line, and then I pressed the pre programmed number in my list in G3 and I did my call, I was surprised when I received my cell phone bill to see that I was charged for my call to UK. I phoned G3 customer service, and they was rude and treated me as a child asking if I press this or that, finally they asked to fax the cell phone bill so they can investigate, I did not the amount was around $6 and I decided to forgo this and I stopped using my cell phone to call abroad.

This time it happed to my wife, she had to call the Philippines while she was away from home, the surprise was when her cell phone bill arrived it shows G3 local number followed by the Philippines number, she had to do two calls, and both showing the same this time the dollar amount is around $60.
Again I phone customer service and we went through the same humiliation, finally they asked me to fax the cell phone bill, which I did, I highlighted where the call was on the bill.

Few weeks past I did not hear back from anyone, I called customer service again asking to talk to the supervisor, but every time I get different excuse, one time she out for lunch another she gone for the day and so on, I left my name and contact number for her to return my call but of course no one did.
I am sure that this amount will not bankrupt me, but I wounder how many people get cheated by G3 and pay twice for there calls.

This is big cheat from G3.

I would like to hear from others with the same experience from G3 Telecom

My problem is that I just want to get out of there. There is no delete option for your credit card to be taken out of the acct. However you can add a credit card. Isn't that interesting? Customer service was ok before when company was called Telna. Now w/ 3gtelecom it's horrible... They don't return phone calls ever. Put in request to transfer my 800# to my in-laws when I go on vacation so they can take care of my business. They say ok, no problem. I go on vacation, and my 800# still not transferred, thus getting business phone calls while I'm trying to spend some time with my family. This happened every single time with 3gtelecom. Just horrible! STay AWAYYYYYYYYY

G3 Telecom are CROOKS.
After taking over Telna, what was great company & service for international direct dial, land line to land line I receive email regarding rates and after just 4 months my rate vent from 0.14c. to 0.95c just about 700% soo I check website it's 0.95.8c. I called there custumer service "in Philippines". Dude verify rate is 0.95c and ask did I receive email regarding rates going up so I said I did receive email and ask to talk to supervisor and he said to me "why you want to talk to supervisor, he will tell you a same thing"
So I canceled service right there.
I just can't believe this crooks have a balls to increase a rate almost 700% land line to land line even AT&T has a better rate with $5.99 fee 0.35c a minute

I'm on long distance plan for $18.95 every month worth 200 minutes. The amount was drafted from my account on a Saturday. By the time I have to call and use my minutes the same day, I was told by customer service that I have to wait until Monday for the minutes to be available. I asked for the manager who can help since I need to use it for urgent call. Customer service said that even the manager cannot help me. I was able to talk to the manager and the same response was given that I need to wait until Monday. I ended up cancelling my prepaid and just have the money drafted on my account convert it to regular prepaid and at the same time have the minutes available in 5 minutes. In my opinion this unacceptable. I already paid my monthly and I couldn't get the service right on time.
Frustrating...

REALLY BAD SERVICE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever encountered.
Purchased long distance minutes but the upon calling access numbers, the call dropped 15 times. I could make 2 calls to phillipines for 5 minutes and 2 minutes each and call dropped. Customer service calls also dropped approx. 12 times. Finally a RUDE customer service executive denied any kind of help on call drops and connecting problems. Upon asking for refund (within 12 hours of paying) I was told "we cannot refund any amount as YOU are the one who chose to make payment online and we dint make payment on your behalf, we see 6 international calls of 5 minutes on your line so our service is perfect. We cannot do anything at this stage for you, we can only cancel next month's payment.

dont get trapped into G3Mobile. It never shows you how many minutes you used neither it shows how many minutes you exceeded. They surprises you on the next bill with the just a bill where they dont even mention any minutes used. You should be very careful while choosing the G3Mobile. the Online account always shows you have 0.01$ and you will really think you have enough balance. But reality is, you never know how they charge and how they come up with charges until end of month. Dont fall into this trap

I wanted to De-activate my G3 Account. But while contacting the customer care, they are not ready to provide a link where we can close the account or even to change the Credit card number. it's unnecessarily charging some amounts every month.
Can someone help me?

DOUBLE CHARGING INDEED and G3 SYSTEM FAILURE! The SAME EXACT INCIDENT happened to me on 1 Oct 2012 with a call I made to Canada. Was told to forward copy of phone bill from Verizon and they will investigate. I also forwarded a screen shot of my cell phone's dialed call record clearly indicating I was connected to G3 and my call should have been charged to my G3 account and not Verizon . The complaints above are TRUE and ACCURATE! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY G3! The connection is SO UNRELIABLE and CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! THEY ARE WORTHLESS! You think you're saving money with their cheap rate? Hell No! YOU NEVER KNOW IF AND WHEN CONNECTION FAILS AND THE ONLY HAPPY CUSTOMER IS YOUR LOCAL PHONE CARRIER with their outrageous international rate. So, I went back to Verizon for my wireless international call service. There's a monthly fee of $3.99/month and a few cents higher rate than G3 BUT... I sure have PEACE OF MIND and great customer reps I can clearly understand :-)

We're g3 customers for a long time. I never imagined that I will be having problem with g3. I reggered my mom. My mom tried my account first, and my mom trusted the service, now she have her own account. But, when she tried using the account after a week her cellphone provider contacted her abd informed her that h er bill reached $600 plus. So, we tried contacting g3 after we talked to my moms cellphone provider.. to make the long story short, g3 just gave us an attitude and a load of crap! Don't be fooled by g3. And those complaints here that we read are all true for i had experience all the complaints here. The worst experience was my moms experience from g3.

G3 Telecom Scam and cheating!

After 3 years of total continued service and signing up for auto recharge, I just realized that somebody has been making calls using my account, either by using my pin number or some other way which only my provider G3 should be knowing. I have never used my pin number over 2 years and the company insists that I have been using my pin number even when I have only been making calls from the 3 phone numbers that were registered with the company.

I do have the phone numbers that were using my account and I intend to go to the ministry with this complain because G3 refused to do anything, not even investigate or offer a refund to a 3 year client. By the way, I checked the phone number by doing a search on 411 and the company that has been using my account to make calls to India and Dubai (30 times in the past 3 months) was none another than a company called GAO Research Inc. and they just happen to specialize in embedded technology, phones, modems, rid and the works.

I'm pissed off at G3's attitude and have closed my account.

G3 guys are really big scammers. They keep on charging for each call you try regardless of connection establish or not? When I call the customer service agent she told me according to her call logs my call drop in 2 minutes. I keep insist her that I never got connection established first place so how it is possible for the phone call to drop? You guys should first educate your agents with what Drop call means? Drop call comes after connection establishment, if you are not connected at all then how can you charge for drop call? I'm really disappointed with you guys. Those who read my comments please check your balance every time after you make a call regardless of whether you got connected or not. You'll be surprised to see how much they are deducting from your available balance for the un established calls. I would never recommend G3 for anyone and I will definitely report about this to the consumer report Canada.

G3 Telecom Charging old rate per minute!

Signed up for long distance last year for calling India for rate of 16 cents, at the present still charging me 16 cents, while on their web site, the rate for calling India is 13 cents. Call customer service to complained about this, and she told me they are still charging me the old rate when I signed up. I think the rate when i call india should be 13 cents not the 16 cents, it should have being adjusted accordingly.

Beware people!

I can add my disappointment to those here. Money Back Guarantee only means if you send it back unopened and unused. Who does that? I tested the service at home prior to departure to Europe. It worked. Upon landing in Germany and all my time there the service never did connect. I traveled through Turkey where the service connected briefly and then was disconnected. I had to purchase a local prepaid SIM card for service which is not want I wanted to do but one has to do what one has to do. When I notified G3 Wireless and requested a refund as the service did not work as advertised referring to their Money Back Guarantee I was told since it was "used" no refund was possible. If you just received the SIM, I suggest you do not open the package and send it straight back for a refund and look for another provider.

This is why G3 telecom is a failure as a company. There is only 1 positive thing here, which are the co-workers. NOT MANAGEMENT, co workers. I can tell that whoever works there is desperate. We are in a crappy economy no matter what anyone says. and yes jobs are hard to find, especially "good" jobs. The conversations I have with my coworkers are the only thing that keeps me partially sane during the work hours. That really is all the positive here.

The pay sucks. Not just the fact that it is low, its also the fact that what they posted in the job ad online is not even the right amount. I came to the interview expecting one amount and in reality it was even less. That was probably the first sign that something was wrong.

The hours suck. Of course there are people around the world and they need help. That is why call centers exist, but when its almost midnight, the last thing you want to hear is some idiot that cant dial a number properly.

The product sucks. OK, i dont call people around the world, but I do know that there are hundreds of other companies that provide better service at lower prices.

Most of all. THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS. you can always tell how successful a company will be based on the management. not necessarily in terms of profit, but in terms of atmosphere. I wake up in the morning thankful that I have a few hours of peace and serenity before I come into the chaos that is this company. I walk in the door, and there is an instant sense of negativity and hopelessness. I just look at my manager, and each time, I get the sense that they do not give a [censor] about my as an individual, only the company. There is obvious favoritism there, also there are many stories of unfair treatment, breech of confidentiality, yelling, and so much negativity. I have never encountered a company that did not care this little about their employees.

The day that I quit, I had such a heavy weight lifted off my chest. I never felt so happy and so relieved before. It has been a long time and I still cant find a job. But you know what, that doesn't matter. I would rather look for something that I will be happy in rather than [censored] every day coming to a hell hole like this.

If you are still working there, GET OUT. I promise you that you will find something much better in every possible way - better management, better pay, everything. I know that you feel desperate, I know that the job market is garbage, but there is NO HOPE and no future here. Get Out while you can.

If you are looking for a job, DO NOT APPLY to this company. People drop like flies from this place and you do not want to work in a negative place. While I am still looking, I do not even bother putting this place on my resume. That is how negatively this place has made me feel about them.

If you are looking for a long distance company, try comwave. I told my family to use them even when I was working here.

I never wished ill will toward anyone, but this is one place that I hope shuts down, and when it does the reason is straight from the top.

To GTHREE:
When our charges decreased, of course we will not call. Why would we? Aren't we all after cheaper stuff? If possible, free? That is why most companies, like G3, reward us with 30 free minutes when we sign up. According to the complaints above that I read, they called G3 to fix their rate so that they will be given the current cheaper rate even though they signed up when the rates were higher, but they never got the cheaper rate. So when you said "JUST CALL US AND SAY YOU WANT THE UPDATED RATE" is merely, just a call. Does not mean it will be granted. By the way, its not the decreased or increased charges that make the customers call. Its the inaccurate charges, which, according to the G3 (former) customers above, happen quite a lot.

G3 Telecom - Beware - Old Plan Rates vs New Plan Rates
All subscribers of G3 Telecom, please`make sure the rate charged for your calls are not higher then the posted rates on their website.

I was shocked to learn that i was being billed twice the posted rates, when i called them their arguement is that i am old customer under old rate plans.

So when the rate drops i dont get the lower rates.
Its only when you call them & complain they will shift you to the lower plan rates.

HAHAHA. EVERYTHING THAT YOU ALL SAY IS CORRECT. THE SAME PEOPLE THAT ARE NAMED HERE STILL WORK THERE. ALSO, THE COMPANY IS NOT A CHEAT PER SE, ITS MORE LIKE, THE ATTITUDE THERE IS REALLY NOT MOTIVATING. THE DATABASE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED SO THAT IF THE RATE CHANGES, THE CUSTOMER HAS TO TELL US. IM PRETTY SURE THAT IF THE RATE TO A SPECIFIC COUNTRY GOT DECREASED, AND YOU GOT CHARGED LESS, YOU WOULDNT SAY ANTYTHING WOULD YOU? IF YOU WANT TO STAY WITH THE COMPANY, JUST CALL US AND SAY YOU WANT THE UPDATED RATE. ALSO, IF YOU TALK LIKE [censor] AND ARE REALLY ARROGANT, WE WILL TREAT YOU AS SUCH
