I am a Senior Fraud Victim Advocate with Fraudaid.org , first of all what you have experienced is what we call a Fake Lottery Scam. It is designed for one purpose only and that is to get innocent and unsuspecting people involved in the fantasy of winning a ton of money. They use this scam to do one of two things:

Launder money by sending you a check with your winnings letter and instructing you to depsosit the check and send off a portion of it to pay so called fees and taxes to free up your winnings OR for the purpose of getting you to pay advanced fees to gain access to your winnings. Here are the cold hard facts:

1. If you did not purchase a lottery ticket , you could not have won that lottery. Why? Lotteries only exist on the money gained through the sale of tickets. The money they get from people purchasing tickets IS the money or at least a portion of that money that is dished out in winnings.

2. IF you have gotten a surprise winning notification and a check from a lottery company you had better verify that the lottery is real and that the check was indeed issued to you by the " Account Holder". Most likely that check is Counterfeit and you can wind up in a heap of trouble either with your bank or legally if you cash it.

NEVER EVER send money to anyone you do not know via services like Western Union, Money Gram etc based on a sales pitch or promise. Those services are widely used to scam people out of hard earned money. Why? Simply put... once that money is sent and picked up at the other end there is NO way to retrieve it or to recover your losses.

For more information on scams and how to protect yourself visit us at www.fraudaid.org What you do not know can hurt you.

Always remember ...

Silence is a thief's best friend... word-of-mouth is his worst enemy! Spread the word.

I have been recieving e-mails from free lotto that I won a million. I was surprized how did it happen because never I play that freelotto game. I was only serfing in the internet when suddenly something flashes that I won and it was from freelotto. I was even convinced when I searched about ERIC PREVOST who won 10 Million as something to be factual.
I believe that these are just scams. I think I shoul beware of it..." pang exite lang to mga pre, huwag paloko"

i was one of these people that got involved in that bull ### lottery scam. it keeps on sending me e-mails and checks to verify my credit card info to release my unclaimed funds. What i did was withdraw all my money out of my credit card account and opened a nother account to put my money in there, thereafter i then sent them my card no, 3 last digits and expiring date as requested, they then send me an e-mail back to say that this card was not valid.
Well my point excatly if there was any money in my credit card acc they would've withdrawn everything, but i was clever for them by submitting an empty credit card, i then thereafter went to the bank to cancel my hole account and explained my situation.
If this was free lottery, why in the world do they want your credit card details, no damm lottery or wise person in this world would evr want this information from you.

I joined the FreeLotto one month ago and am surprised to receive a 1 Million US Dollar check signed by Patrick J Chalmers with check number M98211.

I come from a poor family background and was surprised with the check. I also see people’s name that also have won and were paid. I’m sitting on a fence now.

Further, I do not have an international credit card but a local one which I use in my country - Papua New Guinea. With this check presented through email, I do not know what to do but just waiting to see if it’s going to really work out.

Please advice and comment.

Thanks.

so as for my it a bit similar what those people are saying .as a
matter of fact the authority concern must stop these sort of
robbery. and i think the suppose free lotto game if it is real
must stop these sort of robbery and is blasphm the reputation
of the game. SO WHERE IS THE FREE LOTTO GAME INSTITUTION IS DOING ENCOURAGE THESE ROBBERS OR
DEFENDING ITSELF BY PERSUING THESE FRAUDULOUS
PEOPLE IN FRONT OF THE JUSTICE. I HOPE SO.

I agree because among all the people who has put up their complaints seem to be genuine. Why is it that NONE and i repeat NON of these have ever been given the money they have won? It is only one player who got one dollar! Just imagine one dollar! ! ! !
I think it is a big SCAM! And i wonder what the US Government is doing since they are superup in tracking down other criminals all over the world when they can not arrest peolpe who are conning others just at their door steps. I'm just wondering loudly. Why do the freelotto team insist on players to submit their credit cards? Why? This is one why of enslaving the unsuspenting freelotto players to defraud them cash. I really wonder. You promise heven where us you deliver the innocent to hell my friends! Can you come clear and tell us how many people you have indeed issued with checks all over the globe. Let us know please.
If you are genuine then use any card to give the checks out but don't demand for credit cards only. Let the genuine winners get their checks straight as they win
Peter.

FreeLotto a division of Plasma Net, is a real sweepstakes/lottery that you can play 6 games every day by entering 6 number in the first 5 and 7 in the 6th. The $10, 000, 000.00 card is the only one with 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place prizes where you can win $300.00, $3.00, and $1.00, respectively. If you want F.A.S.T. to play your numbers daily, the price is $14.99. You don't have to choose F.A.S.T., though, and can click the link to play FreeLotto free.

You must play to win. If you play correctly, you will receive a TSN number by email for each game. F.A.S.T. sends you your numbers listed in one email. If you win, you must submit the applicable TSN to prize claim per the rules. If you win using F.A.S.T., you will receive a letter saying "You Have Won" but you must submit the TSN number from the numbers you were notified as played, not like I did at first the one from the letter notifying me that I won.

Beware, there are fraudulent mailers and FreeLotto warns registered players of this with examples and advice on reporting. FreeLotto doesn't want you to be scammed, they want you to win.

A FreeLotto player

Ladies & gents I've also been caught by this scam.Early February I cancelled my subscriptions with these evil crooks, but I realised that they were still deducting amounts from my account.I've been consistenly attempting to get hold of this people but no to avail. How can we try prevent this dilemma from continuing ?
