I am a member of freelancer.com
someone post a project about data entry, I spent one bid on that project; after that the guy "John Franklin" chatted me and talked about a retyping job of 25 pages. I gave him my email, then he send me the details where I had to pay $20 as a refundable security. I paid, he send me the work, and I was supposed to get paid $4 per page! I submitted it the before the deadline time!
after that no response. they cheated me. I sent many mails to those email id's they didnt even response. the email id which they use John franklin, [protected]@gmail.com

Yup, i got they mail 2 times, it's strange I've received an email like this. I think they are in the same company, but look from the contents of this email this seems to be an automated email, the email is also exactly the same, he did not even discuss what I asked, this really fraud. But thank goodness his account has been closed. What is it with freelancer india.

Thanks a lot for this site, just missed being cheated by this fraud person called JOHN.Actually I am ready to pay and deposited amount in Paytm too.
Just think of a second to see in Consumer Complaints before transferring amount to the number about this and found these complaints. Thank GOD.

And I tried to find about the person from True Caller about the number and got info as

Anupam Agarwal
[protected]
Fixed Line Or Mobile | AIRTEL
Delhi, India
Address

So be be Careful guys about this Person, and an Official Website Freelancer should ban him .And please please think a while that no company/person will not ask for any deposit, to get work done for them.

All the best and Happy Hunting for jobs, but be care full and think a while before doing anything and save your money.

Hi,

sunainapandey9 contacted via freelancer asking me for my E-mail Address. After a while I've got an E-mail from sunrisepublishers1@gmail.com signed Richard Taylor in which they ask for a deposit in order to start working for them. I got suspicious and googled the E-mail, luckily I found this site and haven't sent any money. I have reported the project on freelancer.com, I hope that such scammers can be stopped.

Same as it goes to me, plan p1, US$20 security deposit, 25 pages worth of data entry, exactly the same verbatim reason and the after one month the deposit will be refunded thing. Give the same website address. But this time around, he uses the name Richard Taylor with an email address: sunrisepublishers1@gmail.com

Guys, if someone is asking for a deposit, for you to get a work, don't be afraid to be skeptic. Your interested in the job to earn money and not give money. Just a word of caution

Unfortunately I fell for this before finding these blogs. I paid $32 for a 50 page project, that was to pay $4 per page. Their pages were actually 2 1/2 to 3 page length in MS Word. I spent a great amount of time, including while I was sick, to complete the project. They stayed in contact with me up to assigning me the project. I turned in the work ahead of time, have emailed them 6 times and...NO RESPONSE! I was counting on this money to pay some bills and now am stuck with no way to pay them. They go under email ID franklinpublications6@gmail.com. Don't, I repeat DON'T let them do this to you. Now I face having my utilities shut off because I did work for a scammed. One question I have is the website does all this verifying identifications of the freelancers to make sure you are legit so why don't they do this for the ones posting the jobs? I made a poor decision in hoping to make some quick money to pay my utilities and now I'm out $32 security deposit and no way to pay my bills.
