i to have had hcc surety willfully misrepresent fact and lies. when i called them on it the refused to comment or respond in writing but did treaten litigation. this company made a clerical error and acknowledge it initially. two year later the have sent me to collections in order to collect premiums from 04, initially they felt i benefited from there error therefor i should pay. know hcc is claiming i did not pay 04-07. i have explained to several rep. i cancelled my policy because i was paying 70.oo a year and when my bonding company was bought out by hcc they raised it 700% even though i had an premium notice for 70.00 for the next year. they also have tried to sue my co-sighner who was told in 1998 that it would just be needed for two years. which hcc denies that was said. when i asked how they could speak to a conversasion in 1998 when they acquired the business in 04 they hung up on me. i also inquired in to how my premium would of went up 700% if i had a co-signer for my bond guess what phone went dead again. they have refuse verbal and written request for proof of their claims and two month later know response
i would suggest looking elsewhere for your bonding company, i know have to wait for the federal claims comision to conduct a investigation, along with the state of californie department of insurance will update my you with the outcome.
