Clearwire sold me a card that provided internet services for my laptop. due to poor coverage in Boise ID it almost never was able to get a signal. I was told at time of sale that if the service did not work I could cancel. I did. They charged me a 200.00 cancellation fee to cancel and had the most foul mouthed arrogant people collecting for the account that did not work. I am in the process of a class action lawsuit against these criminals.

I have had the clearwire phone/internet service for almost two years, service was working ok for the first year and a half. (I would still have to move the modem in my office from time to time) In Oct. 2007 I moved (less than a mile away), my phone service wouldn't work finally called and had a technician come out (Feb. 2008)...he said the signal was too weak for voice said he would call the service center and they would cancel my voice service. They have the remarks in their system that the system will not support voice but have never taken the voice charges off my invoice. Finally today (May 29, 2008) I called to cancel my service as the internet service has steadily gone down to a dismal performance. (I had to have DSL installed) When I called in they saw the 'notes' that said the singal strength was too weak for voice but to cancel they would need to send a tech to my house to verify the internet signal was too weak. When the tech came on line he asked me to power on my clearwire modem. The signal strength (in my office where my computer equipement is located) was between 1 and 2 lights. (east facing window) He asked me to move to a different window facing a different direction. I moved to my living room and was able to get 3-4 lights (over 50' from my computer). He then said that the signal strength was high enough to get voice and he could do nothing. I told him that I would let everyone I know not to buy or sign up for clearwire. I still have 6 months remaining on my contract that I will have to pay or pay the termination fee.

This service is not what they advertise! It is not "free from wires!"
