FlyDubai in flight service

There is a point when a cabin crew needs to draw the line between ethical and non ethical.
On flight fz 050, from muscat to dubai, while there were not more than 3 passengers in business class, i asked the cabin crew, european guy, for a blanket. He answered very rudely "we do not have blankets on this flight".

While i shivered until we reached, and fighting a very bad flu, i saw when coming off the plane that the cupboard was full of blankets. When i asked him about that, he said it is for business class only.
This for me is the definition of a sadistic staff who really should go over the principles of hospitality again. Let alone i wonder if he should be in this industry to begin with not at an abattoir or butchery.
This kind of behaviour is very cheap and must be handled by flydubai seriously, even as an economy airline, staff should have some form of compassion to them.
My desired resolution is for the crew member to call and apologise.

FlyDubai customer service

I have been travelling between Johannesburg and Taif, Emirates from Johannesburg to Dubai and with Flydubai from Dubai to Taif, I always felts bad when boarding the Flydubai flight, however, this experience became even worst during my last flight on the 7th September 2016 and hence my email:
- The Flydubai ground staff are very arrogant and they don't even answer you properly when you ask them something like a guy know as Mehmood with funky hair style.
- There is no communication between the ground staff and the passengers, it looks to me that the staff thinks that they are doing the passengers a favour.
- Your luggage staff just throws the bags from the plane to the trolley below when they are offloading peoples luggage.
- There are unnecessary delays and no communication is passed through to the passengers
- The bus service between terminal 3 and terminal 2 is lousy with arrogant drivers and buses are filthy.
- I have travelled a lot around the world and I believe that Flydubai is worst airline when t comes to customer service.
- Terminal 2 is also the worst terminal in Dubai and the toilets are most probably the worst in the world when it comes to maintenance and most probably hygiene, the stink is so bad as if they are never cleaned.
- The way I see Flydubai is that they are only concerned about making money and nothing else.
- I don't know how the owners/ management sleep at night when their passengers suffer, even ordinary water, ALLAH's gift to humankind is sold in the Flydubai planes. I am from South Africa, a Christian country, but my country gives 6000 litres of drinking water to every household free per month and the Muslim owners of Flydubai are selling it.
- I don't think anyone will fly with Flydubai if they had a option.
- Shame on the owners and management of Flydubai. I don't think that there is any follow ups/ over inspections/ checks by the management team.

FlyDubai flight cancelled

Date: august 3rd
Flight number: fz 575
Incident: flight canceled
Request: refund the flight I lost because of the cancellation and pay a compensation for the 24h lost.

Detailed explanation:
We arrived to dubai 7 am. We flew from bcn to dubai with emitates arlines and arrived to dibai at 7am. We had the conexion with flydubai at 12.20 (Boarding at 11.35).
Once we were ready to take off we received the info that we couldnt take off as there was an issue at the lane.
We were 1.30 waiting inside the plane waiting for and confirmation the creew sent all of us back to the airport.
At 2:00 pm crew sent us back to the terminal and told us that due to an issue with another plane, our flight was going to be delayed and that at 17.00 our fligth was going to rescheduled.
We didnt get any kind of information about what happened, what would happend, and what we had to do other than waiting at our boarding door (F8).
We were told that there would be a person available for questions at the gate but none show up, there was no info on the screens and at the information desks they didnt help. At some point they told us we would need to wait until 10pm to know about our flight. Yet we werent offered any compensaion and we had to insist a lot to get food tickets. In addition, we werent offered any help to phone call our families and to manage our booking planned for the next day (Hotel night and flight to polhara). We only got free wifi after 6pm and then started knowimg about the situation (Accident, airport closing, etc) theough friends messages.
At 6:30pm we knew from the news that the airport was operating again although they would pripritize international flights. Inside the airport no one informes us about it and even if we asked they told us to keep waiting in our door (F8). At 8pm we know other flights were already scheduled including smaller local flights. At the same time our door 8f opened for boarding passangers to another destination. At this point the staff from the airport told us our flight wasnt scheduled for that day, while some membets of flydubai stuff told us it was canceled and others told us we would take off that same day. Around 9pm we were told flights were being rescheduled but ours was not yet on the list so we should wait until 4am the eatliest to land again. The company told us we needed to wait in the airport (With no accomodation service). Thwy justified the delay saying they had to reeachedule a lot of flights and they were doing so since 6:30pm by priorities and that we had to wait to know about ours because it was not a major flight.
At 10pm people starts desperating and asking for some help after more than 5h moving around the airport loolimg for help in all the info desks. We arent allowed to stay at the business lounge although its the only place with flydubai staff attendimg passangers. We are finally told our flight is cancelled and we will be relocated at some flight scheduled for the next day. They are still not planning to give us accomodation but they offer transfer buses to move to main terminal (Where there are hotels). After argueing with them. At 11pm they accept to provide accomodation and ask for our booking references and names. We are told that we can already ask for the ticket reschedule.
When knowing we wouldnt arrive to nepal before aug 4th at noon we asked them for help to reeachedule the flight from kathmandu to pokhara we booked for aug 4th at 8am. Flydubai didnt take any responsability amd no one from the company or from the airport helped us. We finally lost that flight with no right for refund.
Still at dubai airport t2, we decide by ourselves to first arrange the flight reeschedule for next day and afterwards move to the hotel. Other passangers didnt get a new flight until the next day. We then took a 2 hours line to get a new boarding pass for the flight to kathmandu now scheduled for aug 4th at 12:20pm (24h latter than our original flight).
At 12:15am we were checked in and took a shuttle to dubai international hotel at terminal 1 toghether with 10 other international passangers from the same flight. When at the hotel at 1 am we are told they have no information from flydubai regarding our reservation and they are fully booked. We wait for them to contact fly dubai to send our names for more than 1h. We manage to talk to fly dubai and they tell us we need to ge check in another hotel. They domt offer further help and in the meantime (At 2am) more passangers from our same flight come asking for rooms and join us in the no-bookong situation. The hotel staff tell us flydubai is just sending us there to "clear up" the boarding area but they are not providing reservations. After many calls we are told we need to go back to terminal 2. We refuse to move again after more than 14h being sent from one side of the airport to another with no purpose to help us. We finally are offered a room by the hotel. At 3:15 am we check in.

After all of this, we didnt get any complain form from flydubai (They told us they dont offer refunds and only accept complains online). We arent given any further answer from them and the flight in which we are rescheduled takes off with 1h of delay (At 1:30pm). We also missed the flight from kathmandu to pokhara and had to buy a new one, no one offered to help us since it was not booked in the same booking itinerary.

Main complains:
- the lack of information from both the airport and flydubai that just expected us to wait in front of our boarding door for more than 20h
- the unsoportive attitude and miss of commodities: no phone calls, no wifi until 6pm, no hotel until 3am, and food tickets only with basic food and if requested (There was no official info about it so most people didnt get it).
- the disrespectful treatment we got from fly dubai and airport members yalling at us, ignoring our complains, and disconsidering our basic needs (Food, sleep, higiene).
- the +24h delay of our flight with the time and money costs attached (150€ internal flight from nepal missed, food payed at the airport, and one day of vacation lost)

FlyDubai payment not received

This is in reference to my flight ticket booking with flydubai for
Delhi-Dubai-Delhi reference under the ticket reference number GJFBZ1. The
same was booked booked against the voucher number 4M8P4N. This voucher was
issued against the cancelling of the flight booked in September-2015

Since the booking was made by me using my bank debit card issued by my Indian Bank. At the time of check in I asked to verify my old debit
card against which the tickets was booked.

Since, Under the guideline of Reserve Bank of India all bank are issuing
new chip card instead old tape cards. Under the guidelines I got a new
debit card with new card number and validity date.

At the the time check against aforesaid flight ticket I was asked to
produce the Debit card for verification. Since, my bank has issued me a
new chip debit card I don't have the old card which I can produce for the
verification at check in counter in Delhi International airport.
Due to that I was declined to board in the flight or make the full payment for the tickets. Since I had a urgent business meeting I used my new debit card and make the full payment again. For which I have been issued a manual receipt at Delhit airport bearing no.DEL006716 DT.22-May-2016 for INR.22, 647.00

Therefore, you are requested to process refund the double payment made by me directly to my bank account against which the old bookings were made.
Flydubai (letstalk) asked me for my copy of my Passport, receipt of payment make at Delhi Airport and letter from the bank stating that I'm not holding that card and it belonged to me.

I have submitted all the documents and on 19th May I was assured that they are processing my refund which will take 4 to 5 weeks to come to my bank account.
But in vein till date I have not received any payment after exchange of so many messages reminders from my side and assurance from flydubi customer care.

I look forward for your positive and immediate action in making the refund
of my payments.

FlyDubai missed the flight because of fly dubai staff

on 20/07/2016 I appeared on flydubai desk/D block in the airport/ and Ms.Sunita Singh said that I have an extra luggage, and the charges was high for extra luggage for me, I told her that I don't want to carry, and I asked if I can call some one to pick it up. ..After discussing she gave me the following option: that if the driver can reach within max 20 minutes after 3 a.m mints we can give him the luggage and then she will assist me to reach the aircraft. ..then before or around 03 a.m she said I have to decide quickly because they are about to close the gate, and I told her that yes take me on the flight and if the driver reaches within the time suggested by her I will give him the luggage otherwise I will leave it in the airport and bored the flight. ..then she called the in charges there Mr.Kuldeep Harender who straight away said we are closing the gate. .! Though I said take on the flight i am already there...he just walked away rudely and left. ...Ms.Sunita tried more than 3 timed to ask him to allow on the flight but he refused...

I am sorry to said I have been wrongly advised and badly treated by the staff in Delhi, and I missed the flight because of the bad management and handling in the airport. Kindly advice what kind of help & compensation can I get in this case? I am fully hope that you will not leave me unsatisfied or unhappy about this experience. ..so I can always fly with you with a smile.

FlyDubai online booking (amendment)

It is now 5 am and I have been thoroughly frustrated by the level of service received. Had this been an emergency, it would not have been as laughable an experience, nonetheless pathetic, to say the least.

I am a resident of Dubai, currently sitting in Bulgaria (a very pleasant holiday so far), completely destroyed in the past 12 hours, by what should have been a fairly simple transaction.

Due to fly back on the 27th of July (FZ758, booking reference CSMQII), I was invited to stay back for a couple of days. So, with great enthusiasm, I accepted whatever charges to change the booking to the 29th of July.

Or so I thought ...

For some reason, my friend managed to make a similar change ever so smoothly... I, on the other hand, began my journey to hell and beyond. The change was simply not getting confirmed due to payment failure

I used the same credit card as I had to make the initial booking - not accepted
Repeated the entries, in case I had made an error - same result
Used a different card - same result!

Then I decided to try the call center, in the hope that the "experts" would be able to sort me out

Ahhhhh... how I regret that now

I think, I have spent more on international call charges than the cost of the flight... ludicrous

3 agents - all following the same failed script...
Agent: Can I have your card details?
Me: Sure, but I already tried those...
Agent: Please give me the details
ME: Okay - here you go
Agent: The Card is blocked! Please contact your bank
Me: Wha? I just paid the restaurant bill.. it works .. not blocked
Agent : Its not working
Me: I know - that's why I called you dufus! Here try another card..
Agent: The card is blocked!
Me: Also? How can that be? Okay - let's try a friends card (hes the one whose transaction had gone through)
Agent: That card is also blocked! Please call your bank
Me: Butttt... hang on a sec.

Try as I might, I could not convince anyone that thelogical conclusion was a system error and NOT with the cards

3 People, 5 credit cards issued in 3 countries, 2 debit cards ... ALL Blocked... I mean seriously - what does it take to admit an issue.

Meanwhile, I am stranded - original booking invalid and can not be re-instated, new booking not confirmed as none of the payment cards are working and the only freaking advice I get from FlyDubai - is to talk to my bank(s) because 7 different cards owned by 3 people in 2 countries appear to be BLOCKED.

Even tried to book a brand new ticket at full cost to myself - but that too had payment issues... so I guess it has to be something with either my name or nationality!

Once I get back to Dubai, I intend to devote the remainder of my life to ensuring that neither I nor any of my friends, colleagues or acquaintances have to even consider the option of such a pathetic excuse for an airline!

The financials aside, the sheer aggravation of the experience I have been through, has left me determined to walk to my destination or not travel at all, if FlyDubai is the only option available.

And somewhere in the middle of so many calls, I really cracked up at the conversation that went something like this

Me: Is there anything you can do to help me?
Agent: Can you go to the nearest FlyDubai Office and pay in cash?
Me:If that the only option... yes, Im in Bulgaria
Agent: Are you in Sofia?
Me: Yes.. actually, no, Im about 5 hours away in Sveti Vlas
Agent: In Prague?
Me: Wha? No - In Vlas, Prague? Never mind

I sent them the below email. Sorry it's long

I booked a flight from Dubai to Amman on 16 July 2016, flight No. FZ -5141, scheduled to arrive to Amman on 14:10.

Several unpleasant events happened that day, out of which:

1. The flight should depart from DWC at 11:40, but it was delayed for 45 minutes without any explanation from your cabin crew.

2. After departure, and half way through the flight (almost 1 hour) the captain announced that they found that there is a technical problem with the plane, and we have to turn back to Dubai.

(one hour to Amman, technical issue with the plane, turning back to Dubai half way) all together did not add up.
If there is a technical problem with the plane why didn't we land on the nearest airport?
And if the plane can take us back to Dubai with this technical problem why didn't we continue to Amman?
All these questions were asked by the passengers without any attempt from your cabin crew to answer, which led to a wave of panic among the passengers.

3. While approaching DWC, your esteemed pilot announced that the technical issue was about the landing gear, and he will fly as low as possible so the control tower can see if the tyres are suitable for landing, then we'll take another round above the airport, at which he will update us on whether landing is possible or not.

The plane started descending, then ascending again. After making a round, the pilot suddenly started the landing without any prior alert to the passengers (as he announced earlier) with the plane nose down, before adjusting the position of the plane for landing (on higher speed than usual) before final touch down.

Meanwhile, all the passengers were giving there last prayers.
I believe that the pilot behaved in unprofessional way, not comforting the passengers prior to landing that the plane was suitable for touch down without any issues.

4. After landing, the doors were opened and we stayed on the plane for around 45 minutes, where we were given 3 different stories (by the same pilot):
- The technical team will examine the plane, and within no time we will disembark from the plane.
- After examining the plane, it seems that there is no technical issues with it, and it is being refueled for immediate departure.
- It seems that there is some more issues should be checked, and we need more time to decide whether we will fly again with the same plane or not.

All the above was happening while the temperatures inside were approaching 45 degrees (as it is outside), with no water provided to passengers or any kind of air conditioning.
All passengers were really in discomfort, babies started crying, with their mothers crying, and one old lady was about to faint, when some passengers started shouting on the cabin crew that we need to go of the plane immediately. Only then we were allowed to disembark to the buses.

5. After leaving the buses, it took the staff in the airport another half an hour to collect all boarding passes, which all took place in an open area (no air condition).

6. At the airport, and after more than an hour waiting, one staff (only one staff) from FlyDubai came to communicate with the passengers about what will be the next step; whether we will fly at the same day or he we will be rescheduled for another day(s), and without offering any explanations on what have already happened (especially turning back half way instead of continuing to Amman).

7. After lots of promises (that didn't happen) and long waiting, we boarded (on the same plane) around 20:30 (almost 9 hours delay), and again stayed more than 45 minutes before closing the doors and moving (as the new pilot announced that all the luggage were off loaded and being loaded again.

The new pilot announced that the company is sorry for the delay, and he was not aware about whatever happened in the morning, and if any of the passengers has anything to say about it we can directly complain against the company (which emphasized that some of the decisions taken by FlyDubai and there staff, including the first pilot, were merely misjudgment on the situation, especially the return to Dubai).

I have been flying with FlyDubai for many years now, whee everything was running peacefully, but all what I described above shows clearly that FlyDubai staff / plots / cabin crew are NOT well trained and ready when any emergency happens. All the events happened that day shows that in case of emergency, the staff are not trained, not organized, no definite procedures are followed, decisions improvised on impulses of instinct rather than defined process, showing lack of experience, no enough attention was given from the higher management, while the other pilot is encouraging on making a complaint.

(Everybody is beautiful when the Sun is shining. It is in the darkness when you know the worth of people, who is real and who is reliable).

I am sorry to say that I'm really disappointed with the events that happened that day, and it will be really difficult for me to continue flying with FlyDubai.

FlyDubai customer service

I will not fly with Fly Dubai again. I have taken three trips with them and all have had many issues but my last and most recent trip was by far the worse. I contacted them by phone and on Facebook to find out what their car seat policy is. Both times I was directed towards their Terms and Conditions 7.4. Based on this policy I bought a seat for my child.

On our flight to Dubai we had no issues and I was able to use my car seat. On my return flight I was told I couldn't use his car seat as it is a rear facing seat. I had a copy of the Terms and Conditions printed and they refused to look at it and made us turn the car seat around. This seat is not made to be forward facing. Thus making it unsafe.

I contacted Fly Dubai and requested a refund. They said "Kindly note that as per our safety standards, seat should be always facing forward." When I requested a copy of this policy they replied, "Kindly note that the same way as the passengers should face forward, the infant should also face forward as per our Cabin Safety Procedures Manual. We can only share to you the conditions of carriage which are on the website. The Cabin Safety Procedures Manual is for eternal use only." When I still requested a refund because they failed to notify me of this policy nor is it available to view they replied, "Your request for a refund has been refused as flydubai policy states that seat should be always facing forward." I again asked for a refund because I can't be expected to follow a policy that they don't allow passengers to have access to or disclose to them upon request. Their final response was, "As per the international standards, the car seat should be forward facing. This is due to safety reasons. Your child xxxxxxx still occupied the separate seat. We regret to inform you that your request for a refund has been refused as per the policy which states that car seat should be forward facing. Unfortunately, we will not engage in any further dialogue with regards to refund. We are however, happy to be of assistance with any other query you may have." I'm not sure what new policy they are referring to with international standards but we fly internationally frequently and both forward and rear facing is allowed and clearly stated in the airline policy.

While their customer service is normally subpar at best. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received and I would never recommend anyone fly with them. Nor will I ever fly with them again.

FlyDubai baggage charges

I booked 3 tickets from Chennai to Dubai and failed to notice the baggage details. When I went to the airport the staff of Fly Dubai told me to pay 15000 rupees as baggage charges against the weight of 23 kgs. which is a huge amount.I didnt expect and I had no other choice except to pay. While returning I cam by Jet Airways and the charges are also less compared to Fly Dubai and they allow us to carry 23 kgs per person. They are providing very good food in both flights(connecting) wheras Fly Dubai didnt give even a water bottle.I will never go by Fly Dubai hereafter.

FlyDubai flydubai in alexandria egypt

To Whom It May Concern I was terribly wronged by Alexandria airport flydubai at check in counter and some horrid man at the Gandhi international airport in India named Hangesh Gupta,

My name is Jeannine Foley and I have been traveling since last September in Memory of my young daughter who was killed in the USA last July. She longed for peace through her deep love for people and the earth we live on http://www.emmasway.com/emmas-story.html Please click the link to read about Emma. I am her mother and live in USA in Northern California, my life’s mission became evident after my daughter passed and I have given up my job/career in Real Estate and Marketing in search of truth and to find different nations who need help. Myself and my two other adult children took what money we had and packed up all our belongings and storage and went to Peaceful Thailand to get away from US domain and all its pain that came with it. We needed to learn how to live without our Emma and are still doing so. My missions for world funding projects will not be financially supported for a few years and so I have this time to learn to love people the way god intended, heal my sorrowed spirit and to help as many people as I can along the way and figure out why and how I will use this gift for the betterment of humanity as Emma wanted to do. In Asia we learned about the peace and the Buddha way of life and the serenity of the mind. I decided in Asia that the best way for me to heal others was to teach as I have many years of knowledge about many things and have two other children who are witness to this. I was initially going to TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign language) in Spain to become certified but I knew that my days would be filled with study (and they were, as I had one weekend off without homework in 30 days) so I didn’t really want to go somewhere that had too much fun as I needed to focus. I chose Alexandria Egypt and found many beautiful people trying to live in a life that needed some great help with government and small but huge things like sanitation waste management and simple exports. If I work here I would write grants and hold conferences on the cost of medical needs that far outweigh the fees in proper garbage collection. (But that story is for another day) I have been fascinated by Ancient Egypt for some time so it made sense to come to Egypt ignoring what the media dictates because I never believe the media anyway and I am not scared to live.
So my studies were intense as I only had a few classes that I had my 1st year college students and the information I gave to them must be grand. It must open their eyes to new horizons and interests, know the foods used for fuel instead of the awful toxins they were putting into their body with fast food and non organic fruit that cause rapid cellular cancer growth ( I have not been sick in two years and within a few days I was very sick with flue in Alexandria, I could not breath and the food was horrid so I ate pumpkin seeds and candy to live on and my body started to react with a vengeance as the air was not clean as well, but I was OK with that as this was my mission, but unlike many in Egypt I can always return to an oxygen rich, water filled environment and be well again), and it did and found the beauty of teaching and I am so pleased. My heart is on its way to healing others. I spent every last dime of mine to do this study and finally after 7 months it was time for me to meditate, listen, think, heal and speak with a guru in India of all my life’s lessons and what I did learn from the Pyramids of Egypt. I planned India for a month and would start in Delhi and make my way down to the fishing village at the bottom of India and there I would stay in the Ashram who was expecting me and to help guide me with my new knowledge.
But I never made it to India! And I will tell you why!
Since the death of my baby I have traveled to Thailand, Asia (45 days), Bali Indonesia, China, Dubai and Egypt to seek knowledge and find people who are helping the world and humanity… Before I go I always call the consulate to make sure my visas are in order but I must have not understood correctly for India. I was so excited for my journey to India as I now I knew why I was truly going. I booked my flights about a month in advance to FLYDUBAI had not crashed yet so I knew I was already taking my chances with this airline but felt I was ok and protected as I had come this far already. I had a 15 hour layover ( I had to compensate my stay in Dubai myself as No accommodations were furnished by Flydubai like normal airlines that I also learned later. So finally with all the stress of the airport… Oh wait I did not tell you about my horrid experience in Alexandria see my post from Facebook.

. PART 1..., My Journey to India
So here I sit back in Egypt.. You ask why, and I'm going to tell you, get ready for a story that maybe nobody from America or other somewhat enlightened country should ever have to endure. I think other people from other countries might have to go through this on a daily basis but as an American maybe many would end up in an Arab jail LOL but not joking. As Americans were used to our own freedoms within ourselves though our American rules govern our every day lives (programming at its finest living in the Matrix ) that we accept and send our loved ones to fight and die for us. Though this may change in the future as America becomes more oppressed within our minds, and all of us and we have no choice but to handover our sacred, forgotten, God given moralities. Americans don't understand how lucky they are to be able to think for themselves and many choose to think like criminals or with a superior blasé attitude about our different civilizations. (Yes...OUR, we are one) The last two days I've learned something very important about this from feeling The deepest of repression and observation. I had to be obedient and listen to my omens which is a very hard thing for me to have learned to do and I do think Asia and trying to live a Buddha way of acceptance and learning, helped me withstand this mission... On a separate note the cross that I wear every day that Em gave me next to Emma's trinket that holds her ashes was given to me for a reason, now and I understand this, it's almost like a shield in many eyes of many people that actually seem scared sometimes as the power of religion here is mind-boggling... Many Muslims here are following a Christian background though they don't really understand the implications of what Christianity is all about and all it's subject ions and sometimes prejudices, and they secretly let me know that they are Christian when no one is looking... What they don’t know is that I am no longer a Christian of American thoughts, I am a Christian of intervention of Alchemy based on the lessons of the heart and not oppressive souls. The true Muslim religion is the law, their obedience to the Lord which is our Lord God, and it is very hard for them to see outside of this. For those of us who are enlightened we know religion causes war and hate. We know that god came to us in each civilization in a way that we could understand but man did no listen to his heart and the one god was divided. I will going to this more in my writings but for now I'm getting off topic so I'm going to go back to when I was talking about before.
Easter Sunday I woke up happy camper getting ready for my venture to India taking lots of time to read, learn, pack and prepare. Hustle bustle bustle, bustle to the airport my first encounter that I didn't tell anybody was that I was flying on flyDubai. Of course most people can follow this news that this airline just crashed and killed many people in Russia because they overwork their people and they have extreme fatigue. The pilot circled for two hours and they believe he fell asleep at the controls supposedly.
So my first encounter was with flyDubai. I made sure to pack my bags according to the weight as I even bought extra weight volume for one suitcase just to be safe. I had known my weight pretty well in my head for my luggage, traveling through Asia and my weight was nowhere near what I was entitled to. I left one suitcase in Alexandria that I did not need with all my lessons from school planning to pick up on my way home. My carry-on just had a few items of clothing and all my papers and journal (which I have guarded with my life this time not even bringing to school as when I went to Seattle my car was broken into and the first one was stolen.) I rewrote everything according to notes that I had along with all my new and wonderful happenings and learning here in Egypt over the last month. My vitamins and prescriptions and essentials for a day or two, just in case my other suitcase didn't make it until later. Which happens often.
So I got up to the counter at flyDubai in Egypt and she weighed my things and let me know that I was 7 kg overweight. But my big suitcase was fine but my carry bag had to be lighter so I was already starting to feel the steam rise, but held my emotions. So I took my bags and threw many of my items from my carry bag into my larger suitcase and literally there was nothing left except the suitcase and a few miscellaneous items. I put my laptop and iPad in my supposedly purse that I guess had no weight limit, that now was extremely heavy, but I figured I get my carry-on back and it would once again be easy to maneuver my little rotating brand-new suitcase. So when I went back she said I was still overweight and said that excess charge for me, which is not much, so I said OK and gave her 99 egp. Then she said no no no and there's the penalty and they wanted 1045 eg pounds and then I started to freak out a bit in Egypt airport which is OK because I understood Egypt and they freak out out over the smallest of things so I finally, for the first time, joined in.
So I ripped open my suitcases again and threw my sweaters close to a nearby garbage and started waving my underwear and bras up in the air ranting out loud acting like a crazy upset American woman because I was about to blow and I had to release some steam... But Egyptian women can be so sweet they were literally trying to pick my things up and put them back in the suitcase for me just as my landlord tried to clean my apartment one day while visiting. ( She was always kissing me too... Lol )
We went back to the counter and lo and behold I was down to 5 kg overweight, which in my head was what I could live with. Anyway, when I get to India I was going to have a major airline and weigh my stuff so I could prove that their scales were wrong. Then of course I didn't have Egyptian money because I was leaving Egypt and wanted to get Indian rupees when I got there.. so then I had to get out of line and find a working ATM down at the bottom of the airport. I was NOW GETTING livid literally for the first time in a long time. But little did I know this was only the beginning of this chaotic adventure as my temperament would be tested like no other time in my life in the very near future. So my final bill was 545 pounds which is equivalent to about $70 when it only cost me 10 USD to increase the value of my luggage in the first place. So I paid her 600 and realizing later on the plane I never did get my change, she kept that too.
Now comes the fun part she wouldn't let me take my carry-on bag on the plane because it was over the weight limit, , Are you fricken serious? Now I'm a mess and unable to think. I threw one pair of clothes in my already 20 pound purse, again ripping open my suitcases in a mad, red faced, Italian heated rage that was one mark from the point of no return, but the voice in my head somehow spoke and said to be silent and accept. I did and tried to smile at a young child to ease my spirit. She literally took almost everything I needed to be ok if I needed to exist, the only thing that remain with me was Emma my make up (which is really nothing here just a mask from the sun and hide the dark circles of sleeping in a pit bed, and toiletry items (these are sacred in a third world country as they have very limited supply if you know where to find) now only one pair of clothes that I had, and nothing more. I felt like a part of me had just been separated as I feared I would never see my stuff again not realizing that my journal was no longer with me.
I am writing this on my iPad so it's a little odd I had to correct some spelling so please I do apologize for my horrible texting speaking sometimes, I do have my laptop computer with me but my plugs are in my carry-on bag somewhere!. My next story will be about the incredible man I met from India
So the beginning of my spiritual journey began this way. I am not a person who likes to give or cause others pain and my heart is searching for serenity only, though my mind knows how to survive the trivial issues of man. But the anger is really ungodly and humanity seems callus. I have waited now for a week but no one has gotten back to me and my luggage is null and void. I have nothing, no money and at the mercy of the universe (though the universe always has given me what I need).
So finally on the plane to India after this experience as the woman at the counter was so into taking my money like many people in Egypt (I give to the poor and people of the streets because they need it more them me and that is my will) but not the back stabbers at the airport. This woman was so intent and with the help of the manger insisting that I pay again and again did not check my VISA> This is there number 1 priority. I am the only American that I saw in Alexandria for one month, right now I am the voice of Egypt to all of America, and the simplicity of this is not understood.
After my layover in Dubai I again boarded the plane and I already had a boarding pass for the next flight so I do not blame Dubai airport for not knowing about my Visa only Alexandria airport. I spoke with a man going back to India who had been living and trying to work in Dubai for one year but was not working out to well. We spoke of life, religion, love, peace and everything I imagined about the grace of good people in India. We spoke the entire flight of 4 hours. I was enlightened even before I arrived and so ready to share my world with India. So we parted as he walked me to immigration and when I got to the platform the man asked me where my Visa was. Hmmm. In my mind I could get one in India like Egypt or a 30 day auto visa but this was not the case in India. I was disheartened, he was very nice and took me aside to work it out with his superiors and I said I had no problem waiting and getting online if I had to as I was really on no time constraint as the clock for me did not exist this month. If I would have known I would have just gotten in Egypt when I was there.
So I read my book and about 30 minutes passed and I let them know I was coming here to consider India as my first year that I will teach English, as I was in debate between Asia, Egypt and India once I knew the country and the children. I told them my Hotel reservations that were already made and paid for for 8 days while in Delhi 220.00 US and I thought all was good. I had not eaten for almost 6 hours, nor gone to the bathroom and was carrying a 20 pound purse (as my purse had no weight limit and it was killing me) I had to put my laptop and Ipad in it and one change of clothes and toiletries. All my luggage and carry bag were revolving around India luggage and I was very concerned about it as my Journal with all my writing of my life were in that luggage. Finally this crazy man, Looked like he was going to have a heart attack showed up yelling at everyone as they all looked down and no one wanted to look in this guy’s eyes. I was great, I get to speak with the crazy guy who looks like he has had a hard day so I will be as nice as I can be. So I tried to ask him questions and he just grunted in distaste. His name was Hangesh Guta, (they told me this in Dubai and said this man was in trouble and someone had to pay 100, 000 rupees to the poor for his behavior towards me? But that did not help me! Just wait the story gets even better. So finally he waves to me to follow him, and I am thinking OK finally I’m starving and still need to get to my hotel and I have to go to bathroom so bad it hurts. Now remember I am 51 and I am dragging my very heavy purse and I am frazzled, he wants me to come fast as obviously I was infringing on his evening or something and he had to get back to what he was doing. Well to my dismay he took me back to flydubai (which at this time swore to never travel again on this plane until one more time when I had to return to Egypt to go to Luxor) I guess he had a plane waiting for me and I wanted to cry but I did not and now I was like “what are you doing”, where is my luggage and why the hell are you sending me to Dubai, there is nothing in Dubai, then an officer approached him and tried to reason with him but the guy was a total “###”, excuse my language, I feel sorry for him when Karma strikes him down. The officer asked me where I originated and I told him Alexandria and he asked me where I wanted to go, Alexandria or Cairo, I said Cairo as I needed to get to Luxor. WHERE IS MY LUGGAGE!? I could not think as I had very little sleep and no food so I figured Cairo and If I forgave this man and got my money back I would return to India with a new outlook to share my gifts. The crazy man nodded in acceptance at getting me to Cairo.
So no sleep, no food, no toilet and absolute distrust now we land in Dubai, as my passport is handed from hand to hand of others. A nice man greets me and takes me to the head guy in Dubai. I ask him when my flight leaves to Cairo. He then informs me that no one has authorized my flight to Cairo!? What is this pass the betrayal buck? So I am starting to rage inside again and I said call the airport or that guy and get this resolved as I just need to get somewhere. So I was booked by fly Dubai again, uhhhh, to Alexandria because no flights to Cairo. Great. I have no money and now a taxi to Cairo. Can it get any worse! I have to wait in the airport for 6 hours till the flight and my understanding the flight was covered but my luggage was unknown. It was like hell as I looked horrid little sleep for 2 days, no food and no shower with a bunch of people now judging me on my appearance in Dubai. I did manage to put out a few smiles to a few who worked at the airport who truly understood my pain. I had no minutes on my phone, no internet, no charged batteries on my electronics so I had no real contact with my family outside and I guess that was for the best because they would have been utterly concerned for my safety.
So I finally arrive at Alexandria airport. My Credit cards are only working in India now so I did not have the 25.00 for a new Visa but immigration new my pain and helped me and I would pay when leaving. So I went to collect my luggage praying it was there. Supposedly a search had been done In Dubai? Notta, then the women told me I was Cash on Delivery of 13000 EGP I laughed and let her know to make the calls and that was absurd. Oh the joy of the Alexandria airport. Because of these mishaps I will cross Alexandria off my list of possible places to live and teach. My omens have spoken to me and now I always listen. So she listened to my story and understood and knew that I truly was not a tourist to harass and the true torture I had endured. She let me know my luggage should be her in one or 2 days and I was free to go. BUT im not staying in Alexandria, send my luggage to Cairo please. They say they can’t do this. So OK. Just get it back and I will pick it up at the end of the month when I leave for US to check in to solidify my work permits.
Got a taxi at 500 egp share as magically my card worked at another ATM ( I guess the universe was listening) The next morning fresh staying in a not so great but adequate accommodation my mind was clear and Omens understood. Now I would wait for consolation of my abuse and not dwell. I had a couple very beautiful days in Cairo visiting the Mosques and walking the streets to meet people as I always do. I truly walk like an Egyptian though without fear as I have already seen the worst and I fear nothing. I planned to go to Luxor to visit the many ancient ruins and again I was excited, Egypt called me back for a reason. I let the Universe use me and maybe it was to stop that angry man from making the employees lives miserable in India, then so be it… I know how to take the train and planned to take the 12pm train to Luxor. Checked out of my hotel, got to the train station early carrying my enormous bag and finally after 4 crossings under trains I found someone who was able to lead me to the correct ticket booth. When I got there I was informed that I was a foreigner and I could not take the 12 pm train for 92 EGP and that I would have to take the sleeping car. Ok fine. Take me to the sleeping car I read online it was about 150 EGP and I did not care.. So a nice officer took me to where I needed to buy the tickets . I was informed that the sleeping car was not till 8pm. What? Are you joking and the best part is they wanted 900 egp because I was white. Discrimination at its finest. There was no way I was going to spend 8 hours at the train station and pay all the money I had. Since I was to pay that much I may as well take a plane, sit in ac airport and get there early. Wow if I live and teach here I would surely be poor and unfocused. This reaffirmed any doubts I had about working in Alexandria or Cairo. So I was standby and for 850 egp I flew to Luxor. Got in a taxi and again got ripped off, but the beauty here was a welcome relief and the people are very kind and the air is fresh and the food is wonderful.
So long story short I am in Luxor tomorrow going to Aswan. Many calls to the airport and no luggage of mind every showed up!

My price tag total for failure of all parties are these:
Plane fare from Egypt to India 482.00 usd
Reservations in India 220.00 usd
Egypt Visa 25.00 usd
Lost luggage:
My needed Doctor medications that I don’t have and am suffering now are 400.00 usd
Clothes 700.00 usd (all my clothes)
Combat boots 150.00 usd
(Airport payment to Alexandria for Flydubai mistake 13, 000 egp)
My deceased daughter sandals that I wear in sacred places: Priceless
My journal of writings for my book: Priceless and 7 months of work
My deceased daughter’s death certificates and photos and gifts: priceless
Blowdryer and Misc: 100.00 us
Taxi from Alexandria to Cairo 500 egp
Stay in Cairo 60.00 usd
Some shirts and misc at the market 400 EGP
Plane ticket to Luxor 904 egp
Taxi to luxor 250egp
Accommodations in Luxor 150 egp per night at simple but adequate hotel x 20 = 3, 000 egp

Total Damages I am seeking
1717 US
5054 egp
This does not include my priceless items that = more then money or 13, 000 egp for airline mistakes and all my pain and suffering and wasted time. This of course is not all expenses lost that I had to pay but It will be enough to carry on my travels to the end of the month.
I have hoped not to have to write this letter as I was hoping the good of man would visit me and take care of this without my guidance but that was many days ago now and still nothing.
I would be grateful and accept someone to find my luggage and deliver to Cairo.
Nice accommodations in Luxor until my return to the usa on April 28th
I will be interviewing her for the next school year and need to stay to do this.
I would be happy just to have my plane fare stolen from me of 482.22 us Confirmation #NNQ9XV and 2000 egp to pay me back for my expenses that were not included in my trip.
Today is 4/5 and I will wait 5 days to hear back from someone.
I am the face of Egypt right now and I am here to do a story to bring back tourists for your economy and I want to write good things. I don’t want to hand my story over to the media and that is not my intention. I know there must be good people somewhere and I am trying to find them.
I will forward this to all consulates and airports and let you decide who is at fault and who needs to pay the bills. I don’t want anyone fired from their job but I want them to understand the implications of their actions. That man at the airport in India is the face of India right now and I never, ever want to see his face again. He already has many demons in his life and this he will have to live with forever.
Sorry so long
And thank you for listening. This is not what I wanted to write and it has taken away from my creativity and love of my mission here and this again, I can never get back.
I still have my messages for the Guru but I will find other ways to get them to her. Please be quick in your response as I have no money left and still have many days to go.

FlyDubai recent journey

On Saturday I flew from Almaty, Kazakhstan to Dubai (FZ 702) to then catch a connecting flight to Doha, Qatar with another airline. When I booked the flight it was due to leave Almaty at 16.55pm local time. However after checking in and going through security I saw on the board that the flight was now due to take off and 17.40pm local time. I was not informed of any change of flight when checking in or by e-mail. Then upon boarding the flight we sat on the runway for over an hour with very little explain behind the delay. This delays meant that I missed my connecting flight and was forced to purchase a new flight to Doha. I feel that as the delays were not my fault and I was not given sufficient notification of the initial flight change and not a sufficient explanation for the delay I should be compensated for the cost of my additional flight charges.

FlyDubai airline flights and baggage

My open letter to flydubai:
Sir/Madam of flydubai,
I complain about and demand compensation due to flydubai's negligence and poor practices causing me both
1) to miss my original intended flight FZ-043 from Dubai to Muscat on 28 March 2016;
2) to be deprived of my baggage for flight FZ-011 from Dubai to Doha on 01 April 2016.
I will pursue compensation.
I explain as follows.
1):
For 28 March 2016 my boarding pass shows Flight FZ-043, Boarding Time 0615, gate F6. I was at gate F6 from around 0600. I listened for announcements for this flight and none was made. My previous flydubai flight from Doha to Dubai earlier that morning had a late boarding time where I was told casually to come back later, so this time I assumed the flight boarding had been delayed too but still I waited at the stated gate. Around 0700 I went to ask the staff member who had turned up at F6 and he said the flight had been changed and departed and I must speak to someone else. I was redirected a few times until eventually I found your Mr Monzy. I disagree with Monzy's suggestion that he made announcements of a revised flight, because I was at gate F6 from 0600, awake, and heard and saw nothing relating to my flight as detailed on my boarding pass. Monzy then told me I must pay AED 450, later reduced to AED 385, for the next flight FZ-037 departing 1045, in cash only. Monzy told me to go to the bureau de change who initially negligently gave me the wrong currency and no refund for the AED 450 and then told me that I should have simply withdrawn that sum from an ATM.
This occurence of a changed flight without notice shows poor practice by Dubai - other airports call missing passengers by name including 30 March 2016 2250 at Muscat.
I had never missed a flight until flydubai's negligence caused me to miss this one. This incident cost me the stated amount of the next flight plus around 5 hours' lost time I was to spend with my relatives waiting in Oman.
2):
On 01 April 2016 I checked-in on time for my flydubai flight FZ-011 from Dubai to Doha including my baggage with fresh labelling applied. I got to Doha and found and observed from co-passengers that passengers' baggage for this flight had been released for collection except my own bag. I contacted QAS airport staff who helped me including a QAS staff member named Jonalyn I think. Ms Jonalyn's colleague indicated flydubai failed to update my record from the previous missed flight so it was assumed I missed this flight too and my baggage had been offloaded, despite my own having clearly boarding this flight successfully. Dealing with this missing baggage lost by flydubai caused me to miss Pegasus's scheduled check-in for my my next flight - Pegasus departing 0350 to Istanbul then London.
Conclusion:
Given what I have stated above, flydubai is the worst airline operator I have experienced, and I demand:
i) a full refund for original flight FZ-012 & FZ-043 Doha-Dubai-Muscat 28 March 2016;
ii) a full refund of the replacement flight FZ-037 Dubai-Muscat 28 March 2016;
iii) GBP £300 for my baggage lost by flydubai for flight FZ-011 Dubai-Doha 01 April 2016;
iv) GBP £100 to compensate me for distress and inconvenience caused by all this.
When will I receive all 4 of my demands?
Yours faithfully,
Mr. Karthic Kukathasan

FlyDubai refund policy - 6 weeks is not acceptable for a credit card refund

I have an issue relating to the unreasonable time it takes to refund an air fare.

My Flight from FZ201 Dubai to Erbil - 7th to 10th Feb was cancelled due to a schedule change. I had booked this flight only a few days earlier through the call centre on 31st Jan without an issue. On the 2nd Feb only 2 days later I get a text to say the flight cancelled and to call the call centre. This was then followed by an email saying I had two option. Either move to another flight (there were no other options) or get a credit note valid for 12 months. Now hang on a minute - I didn’t cancel a flight here, why should I only be entitled to a credit note? I have had to re-book the flight with Qatar airways which fly the same dates.

I called the fly Dubai call centre and initially they say a refund is not possible - The lady was quite helpful. I ask to raise this to management. She arranged for a call back. I got a call from a so called manager at around 14:00 on Friday. I made it clear I needed a refund. The policy is that a refund will be processed in 4-6 weeks. A minimum of 4 weeks! Hang on a minute - didn’t I pay by credit card? Don’t credit card payments get reversed in seconds? Why is fly Dubai so different? I am 2500AED out of pocket currently plus the cost of another flight because of fly Dubai’s policy of not paying consumers back in a timely fashion

The manager on the phone was of no help and said nothing could be done other than send in an email and request a refund.

I see this in some ways as a theft and a con! How can you remove a service and then not pay the money back straight away. If the situation was reversed would I have been allowed to take the flight and say on check in you will receive payment for this flight 6 weeks later! I think not. The consumer protection unit in Dubai need to look into this practice and give consumers a fair policy. I had always liked fly Dubai, this has left me hating them.

I am currently out of pocket the monies listed below. I just want a refund to be processed in 48 hours which is reasonable.

Airfare: AED 1, 779.91
Tax: AED 140.09
Optional extras: AED 500.00
Credit / Debit card fee: AED 72.60
Total: AED 2, 492.60

FlyDubai unethical behaviour

I applied the VISA on 13th of January 2016 as i was travelling on 24th Of January.(11 Days before)

I did not receive any update till 23rd Jan'16 and the last mail i received was it is still in process.

Now i changed the booking from 24th Jan to 28th Jan and returning was changes from 03rd Feb to 08th Feb.(NO refund is given to us)

It is not my mistake that you did not gave us the visa.
As its written on your website that it takes only 3days to get the VISA.
I am attaching the VISA application receipt which i applied on 13th Jan'16.(Dubai Office)

Kindly check

1.Booking confirmation
OLD Booking reference: TAPOPW (Rajender Kumar Sharma and Poonam Sharma) returning on 8th Feb'16

2.Booking confirmation
NEW Booking reference: ZCLS3C (Rajender Kumar Sharma) Departing 28th Jan'16

3.Booking confirmation
NEW Booking reference: VBB92P (Poonam Sharma) Departing 28th Jan'16

My Paternal Uncle lives in dubai from last 20years (who applied the visa) and we have never seen this type of scenario yet.

Kindly refund back the amount of money we wasted because of your delay in reply.
As we would not recommend this flydubai flight to anyone if we waste around Rs.70, 000/- approx for going to Dubai, though the initial flight tickets were of Rs.38, 000/-

I have not received any update on my issue.

This is the worst airlines company in the world.
Bought baggage allowance yesterday through your dubai call centre.Paid through vouchers.

Still when i reached airport they asked for baggage allowance again.
I had to pay twice for the baggage.

FlyDubai i'm writing on behalf of my husband

I'm wondering why you don't have any complaints and suggestions option on your website, since that is something that is very normal for an airline company to have. I'm writing on behalf of my husband's onboard experience in a flight from Jedda to Dubai on January 8 in the flight FZ834. My husband wanted to perform his prayer on board the flight which is a very quick act. The flight attendant was shocked and told him that was not allowed. He couldn't perform his prayer as he wished because of an uncooperative attendant. The reason why I'm greatly surprised is because, since I'm from Denmark, I travel back and fourth with airlines like: Norweagian, Swiss, KLM, Austrian, SAS... Etc with no one being surprised or anything when I ask them if it is ok I pray. Not only do they clear space for me to pray, but they ask the pilot for the direction of Mekka/Qibla as well. I was even given a jacket of one of the kind flight attendant (who was European) so that I could pray on that as I didn't have a mat to pray on. He gathered his colleagues in one end of the flight and let me pray in the other end. I have never experienced any uncooperative attendants in this matter ever! But this happened in your flight unfortunately and this makes me trying to avoid traveling on any of your flights in the future. Not only don't you serve food as part of your policy which is understandable, but being uncooperative with your customers shouldn't be part of your policy but rather your priority. I'm sorry if I sound a bit negative, but I was greatly shocked since I've never experienced this uncooperative-ness in western airlines, since they are so understanding and cooperative. I sincerely hope you will take this letter into consideration. Kind regards Nadia Alkabani

FlyDubai baggage missing.

Flydubai, your baggage pickup service is really bad. " service" you don't know what is meaning of service. My baggage missed while coming back from dubai. At mumbai airport no body is taking responsibly from flydubai team. I did not get any feedback so I called them, then I got information my bag has arrived and I have to go at airport on 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. My concern is, they did not called me, and on same day they told me i'll receive my baggage at my home. Now they are saying I have to go airport and collect my baggage. Do you think is it make sense, I have to go there and collect my baggage. ? If you have " common sense" then think on it.In future i'll not go with this rubbish airline and will not recommend to anybody. I have attached scan copy what I received, if you can read this then please read this and explain me what they written. Frustrated passenger with flydubai, kishor.

FlyDubai service

This is regarding my experience with fly dubai on 17/12/2015. I booked my tickets to oman & was on time at the check-in counter and security check-in. The flight was suppose to depart at 3:15am, and i was suppose to be at gate before it closes. Due to my immigration and security check-in, i reached the gate while it was getting closed, and could see the last passengers walking towards the connecting wagon. Worst scenerio where the fly dubai staff wasn’t available to answer or assist you anywhere inside the gates and outside the gates, you are not allowed to peep. I urgently rushed towards the other gates to seek for the fly dubai staff, but the other felow staff stated it is a regular practice and they do this all the time. Soon after this i happened to see the business lounge of fly dubai, where the gentleman guided me towards the same gate with instructions to wait there. Alas, after i know that the flight already took off, i figured a laid back fly dubai staff behind the crowd. Rude in their approach they reluctantly told to buy the new ticket and tear the old one. They did not took the pain to even guide towards the cancellation of the unused return ticket from oman to dubai. Due to their negligence, i had to spend the remaining night at airport while waiting for another flight in morning plus had to pay another amount of aed700 for 2nd set of tickets. I would really raise this as negligence towards the rushing passengers and minting cash on the passenger’s emergencies. Fly dubai – i need my money back which i spent due to the negligence of your staff. Dear all potential customers, i highlight this here, not to use their services for your crucial times as you cannot expect any co-operation nor a good service from fly dubai. Worst experience ever with any airline!

FlyDubai flight delay

Flight fz 178 from hbe airport to dxb airport was supposed to fly on 01:15 am egypt time but after we checked in the baggage and after passport stamp I was surprised that the flight will be delayed for 5 hours with no announcement, later on and on the time the flight was supposed to go off, we heard the announcement that the flight will be delayed, leaving us in the airport with nothing to do and no place even to sleep for 5 hours my question is why should I pay for this lateness when I was having this day as absence from work and I had a deduction for not going to work after arriving 6 hours late meanwhile a week before the fly dubai help-desk in dubai airport refused to let me catch my flight because I arrived 55 minutes before the flight, and they didn't even show any empathy or respect as I paid 1300 aed for another flight, I am requesting a compensation for this massive delay
