Fingerhut a product I ordered

i ordered a babys gift basket for 84.99 in baby blue with a brown basket. what i recieved was a white basket with completely all the wrong items in it. i called customer service and spoke to someone who i could bearly understand. being i didnt have time to exchange the item because it was for a baby shower, i decided to keep the gift wrapped basket and the shipping and handleling cost was waved for my inconvience. I decided to take the plastic wrap off the basket and look at the items inside. I was appauled at what they had sent me. two baby tee shirts for 37lb baby a picture frame which is coming apart at the corners, two receiving blankets which is made out of micro cloth (something you would clean with that just pulls apart) all these items are from a dollar store. how dare them to charge customers 85.00 for such garbage.

Fingerhut customer service/collections

Numerous times have I received calls from their collections dept. One month I paid over by 20 dollars and the very next month they called my job and cell phone numerous times to say that I was $4 short on a payment. I asked why they did not take the cred it of 20 dollars and adjust the payment accordingly instead they charged me 37 dollars finance charge. I make a monthly payment of 105 to Fingerhut and it comes out ACH. They informed me that my payments are considered late because of their posting date. I told them the ACH is electronic. They have informed me that I can have them draft it out of my account and I told them no. ACH payments are immediate out of my bank account. They are constantly trying to get me to sign up for them to take it out of my account. They also have representatives who are nice but there is a communication barrier. I had this account for three years and I regret it. They do charge outlandish shipping charges and it is high way robbery.

fingerhut is a corporation that operates on never ending contracts in other words you never get them paid off. When you think they have cheated you enough you just stop paying them. If America agrees please post on Facebook.

Fingerhut safeline fees

I was charged since 10/14 and never signed up for this service. Like many people, I don't pay attention to my bill as I should. Waiting to see if I'll receive full credit for the total charged. I received a partial credit. I signed up on-line, but would have never signed up for this. This is a very dishonest business act.

Fingerhut used merchandise disguised as new.

I bought an air conditioner from Fingerhut. It came in a very dirty, beat-up box. When I took it out of the box--I would have sworn that it had been previously owned.
It was dirty, bent up on the coils, etc.
Has anyone else ever gotten something like this?

Fingerhut identity theft/fraud

A stranger has used my name to get a credit account at Fingerhut. They have purchased items, not paid for them and now I am getting emails about the past due payments owed. I have never heard of this company. I contacted them through their website and online chatting option for immediate answers. They said they couldn't help me and I'd have to call the customer service number. So I did and they require you to enter your social security number in before getting through to a customer service rep. After spending 30 minutes trying different options to get through to customer service, the answering service came on and said "the customer service department is now closed". Really...at 2pm on Monday? I don't think so. I believe this company is in on the identity theft problem. There is something very shady about it and the lack of options they offer to remedy the situation.

If anyone has any helpful tips on how to rectify this problem, then please let me know. I've never had to deal with this type of issue.

First contact the three credit reporting agencies to place a fraud report and security freeze on your credit. That will keep the culprit doing further damage. Then continue to get a hold of Fingerhut and dispute the charges. I realize they may be hard to contact, but it is for your own good.

Fingerhut charging account for sister company

Fingerhut billed my account with them for two unsolicited items from a sister company. After jumping through several hoops and being told it would be removed from my account, it has not been removed. I have reported this scam to the US postal inspectors who either don't listen, don't understand and clearly do not know the law about unsolicited items through the mail.

Fingerhut theft, outsourcing of business

I placed an order with Fingerhut over a month ago. Upon going to their website to check the status of my order it showed they received the down payment and deducted it from my order. A few days later I checked and I wondered why the order was saying still pending and why it no longer showed that I had sent the down payment money order (which I still had receipt for). When calling them they said they did not have on record that I ever placed an order or sent in a payment.
The customer service rep said she would report it to the payment process department and that they would get in contact with me within 24 to 48 hours. They never did. 4 days later I called back and still get the run around from a different customer service rep.
It's almost impossible to get in contact with Corporate because the customer reps claim they don't have access to corporate. Come to find out - they are in the Philippines and Corporate is in Saint Cloud, MN.
The company outsources it's business - pays Philippine citizens pennies to deal with issues such as this. Knowing very well they are unable to. By the way - if you Google the Corporate number you will only get the automated voice number that has you going in circles just pressing numbers. The real number is [protected]. They will not help unless you really push them. I mean, you have to threaten Consumer Affairs, class action, reporting it to every media channel before they will come clean.
If anyone has or knows anyone going through the same issues with this company I would like to know.
American companies that do not care about consumers need to go down! We need to stop giving them so much slack. They don't deserve it.

I had lost income for just a couple of months, my minimum payment with them was $120 per month within just 3 months my minimum payment is $496.82 and I am making payments to bring my account current, but these money hungry pigs are still going to charge me late fees, interest charges even when making my payments and still when my account is current still going to have to pay close to $400 per month, and I only owe them $2, 639.94 and according to them it will take 7 years to pay this off. So seven years time $400 is $33, 600 not $2, 639.94 which is $30, 960.06 in interest and late fees. How do you go from owing $2, 000 to $30, 000 without additional purchases just on interest and late fees of only $30 per month. I am really thinking about reporting this company to consumer advocates as well as the FTC. This company is no worse than a loan shark.

Fingerhut fraud, lawsuit

My nightmare with Holsted Jewler's began by making the mistake of doing business with Fingerhut. Fingerhut sold my personal details to Holsted. Holsted then began to send me letters offering me free rings. I filled out one of the letters and paid the shipping cost for the rings. Like many others here, I had missed the fine print on the card that said in agreeing to accept the free rings, I was also consenting to sign up for a monthly jewelry subscription service. I was rather surprised when $56 of unexpected charges showed up on my account the following month.

I filled out their form to cancel the service, kicked myself in the backside for not reading the fine print, and called their customer service reps to ensure the service was cancelled. This is when the real trouble began.

Holsted responded not by ceasing the deliveries, but instead doubling down on them. Soon my mailbox was being flooded with unsolicited jewelry I had already made clear to Holsted I wasn't interested in buying. They kept slamming my account with charges, then forcing me to return the packages at my own personal expense. Sometimes my account would be credited for the return. Other times they wouldn't bother crediting me at all. But always, always, the flood of cheap crappy jewelry and respective charges kept coming. I chose to begin ignoring Holsted after a time. This was a mistake.

Holsted packaged my contrived "debt" with the debt of many others they have done this to, then sold said debt to a collections agency called Midland Credit Management. A quick googling reveals that this company is run by thugs that specialize in forcing people to settle debts they may not owe. Midland proceeded to file a lawsuit against me, and I am now facing damages approaching $2, 000 in court because of it.

Long story short, DO NOT do business with Fingerhut. DO NOT do business with Holsted Jewelry. "Free" may be the most expensive four letter word in the English language.

Fingerhut did not get exchange on damaged product

JAN 15 2015 i ordered 2 simons club chairs ( RED ) THE chairs cme in a week later .FINGERHUT always send a e- mail before the items are delivered one chair was damaged so i sent it back on 1/21/2015 with all the proprer papers for an exchanged and i sent several e=mails to the company a month went by no chair then i called they said the chairs were on back order .2 weeks later i called again .and was told they would send me papers to fill out for a investigation .ok i filled out the paper work then i got a reply that the chair was delivered and sign for by a person name THIGPIG .some one i never heard of and i would have to pay for the chair and i should do a police report and return it to them . # 1) Fingerhut never sent me a e-mail saying the evchanged chair was shipped # 2 ) there are people in my houshold name THIGPIG i have no vistors to my home .and when FRINGERHUT send a e=mail that my order is shipped i make a point of being home this is a terrible way to treat your CUSTOMERS AND THE WORD WILL GET OUT my next complaint will be to the BBB

Fingerhut wanting me to pay for something I never received

I order a xbox from Fingerhut . Which I never received now FINGERHUT want me to make two payment on it. I tried to explain that I never received the product. They stated since it was mail out I would have to make the two month payments. I did everything that they asked such as call the police to my home to make official police report. Fax that and a questioner in to them. The item price was issuer to my account but the two month payments they want those as well as late fee. I refuse and now they are putting it on my credit report which has lower my credit. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY WHERE ELSE I CAN LEAVE A COMPLAINT!

Fingerhut Product that was never deliver

I have order a 6 in one Sound systems they claim they deliver and they never did. After I don't know how many phone calls and written letter I found they have a claim system. Let see if this work.
They are very tricky they gave a UPS tracking number I went to the UPS tracking since they don't a knowledge of ever been deliver anything or that the tracking number is in the system I have a copy of that and also I mail the verification from UPS to Fingerhurt. I still they keep sending threatening letters for payment. How can I pay if I don't have the item I just did a declaration pf the things that happen but still I keep getting letters, and phone calls I am tire of that.

Fingerhut misleading & deceptive = consumer fraud

To whom it may concern:

• fingerhut is the bluestem brands, inc., . "flagship brand". their website states: "our mission to improve our customers’ lives by providing the merchandise they need with the flexibility of paying over time".
• fingerhut’s standard return policy “we will exchange your product or give you a refund for most items returned in new condition within 30 days after you bought it”.

Bluestem's mission statement and standard return policy “home trial period” are bogus, deceptive, misleading, and consumer fraud.
This has caused me a great deal of anxiety and stress. it has negatively impacted my credit score, which has affected me financially.

November 15, 2013 - i purchased a 40" led samsung, 3d television from fingerhut (for my son's christmas present). we immediately noticed the tv turned on and off by itself.

I was within the 30 day home trial period, so i called fingerhut to return the television. i was told by an extremely rude phone representative "it is not fingerhut's problem, you must contact the manufacturer", then hung up on me. i called and emailed numerous times. i got absolutely nowhere with the fingerhut representatives. they refused to let me speak with a supervisor, they hang up on me and they are completely unwilling to assist me. it is a total nightmare dealing with fingerhut.

December 2013 - i spoke with kyle id # madrilejo - he stated i was no longer within the 30 day home trial period and there was nothing he could do. again, he refused to let me speak with a supervisor and claimed he was unable to transfer my call or provide me with additional phone numbers to contact customer service. again, i emailed several times and i left the lowest negative product rating possible ( 1 star) through the fingerhut website. i received no response to the numerous emails, but fingerhut removed my 1 star rating from their website. fingerhut is intentionally misleading consumers by removing 1 star ratings and allowing higher ratings, for the same product, to remain on their site.

After dealing with fingerhut for nearly 2 months, i decided to contact samsung, the manufacturer of the tv.

January 2014 - samsung arranged for a company to come to my home and repair the television. the repairman replaced the defective part twice (the first part blew as soon as it was inserted). the "band-aid" repair held for less than a week. again, the tv was on and on, on and off. again, i called samsung and their ecr representative told me "your tv is old & outdated". i would have to go through another repair, but i must prove the tv is still under warranty (because it was so old and outdated).

I bought this tv from fingerhut 2 months ago, so i contacted fingerhut and spoke with omega (?) again, rude and unwilling to assist or provide additional phone numbers for customer support. at this point, i stopped making payments to fingerhut. they sold me an old, outdated, defective tv.

Well, it didn't take long for the harassing, collection phone calls from fingerhut to start. fingerhut wants their money ($799.99), but unwilling to take the defective tv back, and unwilling to let me speak with a supervisor.

June 23, 2014 - finally, after 7 very long months into this ordeal, daily calls to these two companies and total frustration, samsung’s office of the president agreed to exchange the tv (see copy of email below)

June 30, 2014 - i called fingerhut, i explained that samsung has agreed to exchange the tv and i would be willing to make my monthly payments, if fingerhut removed the late fees and updated my credit report (fingerhut reported my account to the credit agencies as being in default.). i was told " you pay the late fees now $260.00 and fingerhut will reimburse you and update your credit report". really? i asked him to send the information to me in an email, which he refused to do. i asked him to remove the late fees first, which he refused to do. after going several rounds with this blatantly deceptive person, he stated he was not authorized to remove the late fees or update the credit report. again, i asked for a supervisor and again i was not allowed to speak with one. i asked to be transferred to someone that could assist me and again, he refused.

How much more intentionally deceptive can a company be?

I called fingerhut back 6 times on june 30th, i spoke with sarah, kerriann, kim, stephanie, samuel and ellis. all of these representatives were unwilling to assist, unable to help, unwilling to connect me with a supervisor, unable to provide me with additional phone numbers .

I have emailed their corporate office a dozen times since july 2, 2014 – i received email read receipts, but i have yet to be contacted.

Same issue with me, i ordered two heaters 3 weeks ago online they processed my $30 down payment everytime I call in to check on the status of my order they say I have no order but yet they processed my $30. I've been transferred 100 times over the last two weeks I've been transferred to supervisors who refused to help me but all they can tell me is there going to manually put it in. I asked them to pay the shipping and handling because of the headache that this is caused and that it should have been delivered 2 weeks ago they refuse to assist me they won't give me a confirmation number and every representative I speak to does not speak clear English and they are very rude

Fingerhut refused to take defective product back during 30 day trial period

Finally, 7 months into this ordeal, samsung has agreed to exchange the tv. This should happen within the next 7 -10 business days.
Back to fingerhut - I called fingerhut today (June 30, 2014). I explained that samsung has agreed to exchange the tv and I would be willing to make my monthly payments, if fingerhut removed the late fees and updated my credit report. Fingerhut bait and switch

On 11.29.2013 I ordered a LG Neon II Unlocked GSM Cell Phone in Orange/Gray, I received a Red/Silver on 11.28.13, this was to be a birthday present for Dec. 7th. When I got the incorrect phone, I IMMEDIATELY reordered the Orange and Gray on 11.29.13, as to assure a timely delivery of the second phone. I then returned the incorrect phone the following day, for credit,

As stated earlier, This was to be a birthday present for my Mom on Dec. 7th. I got the replacement phone in a timely manner, yet when I opened it, IT WAS THE INCORRECT COLOR PHONE for the SECOND TIME, and getting the incorrect phone 2 days before a 70th Birthday, the return option, WAS NOT AN OPTION.

I had called customer service line the day the 2nd phone was received, and was on hold for ONE HOUR and FIFTY SEVEN Min., then disconnected at 9pm EST. At the same time I was on the site waiting for a chat to appear, which it did TWICE, I stated that I had an order problem, and when I started to put in the order #, and relevant information, the agent(s) disconnected me. basically not enabling me to make an inquiry as to what I could do to get a replacement phone in an expedited manner, or just to give me some options to problem. ( I personally think this item was nothing more than a bait and switch)

I shop quite frequently with Fingerhut and am VERY disappointed at the service that was not provided to rectify something that should never have happened. This company has a complete lack of customer service as well as lack of integrity. .

Fingerhut deffered payments

I put a order in about a week ago, orderd my items online because I thought I didn't have a catalog not knowing that those numbers on the back of the catalog is golden! This allows you to make no payments for 6months maybe a year, but if you order online you do not get deffered payments. So I found a catalog with all the items I ordered called and asked customer service if I could get my payments deffered since my items are in the catalog I found. I got the run around with 6 different reps I stayed on the phone half my morning 9-23-13 they would not transfer me over to a manager or supervisor was very rude I was so upset that my blood pressure went up! I have been a loyal customer for nearly 10years not one time late with a payment and Fingerhut treated me this way I promised to call my local news station Fox 2 problem solver to let them know maybe they could get some answers for me since I could'nt. It should be a way that we should as the customer be able to get in touch with managers or who ever can solve these problems for us. I think its so unfair that we can't be accommadated as long as Fingerhut has been in business with those high prices. I'm sure another company we gladly take me on.

Fingerhut billing fraud

I was a Fingerhut customer one time purchase. I bought a coffeepot for a gift. I paid off the full amount due early and I am still being billed for the minimum payment. Throughout the entire billing cycle I was charged late fees even though the payments were autopay and initiated from the Fingerhut Company and payments were directly submitted to my bank for payment. The representative said there is no way to termenate pre arranged auto payments and the cycle must proceed in spite of a satisfied account status. This is fraud and theft by conversion.

I had an account with them that I was paying off... my statement usually comes around the 1st of the month...When I did not receive my statement I called them to inquire about it. If anyone knows the process of calling them... they require you put in your phone number and last four digits of SSN... then they tell your current balance now I know I had available credit as i've been trying to pay them off to close the account. What I heard was that I had no available credit. speaking to a customer service representative told me that someone had logged into my account and purchased a laptop computer $899.00 now its possible my account got hacked but I question this...In all my dealings with this company a STANDARD DELIVERY takes 3 weeks from point of purchase to delivery. This laptop was purchased on 6/12/2013 and delivered the next day 6/13/2013 STANDARD DELIVERY someone had to know where to send this item that would take the least amount of time to be delivered... I live in Boston ma this package was delivered to... lake in the hills IL and Just DROPPED OFF an $899.00 package... after this I closed my account with them ill pay them what I owe them minus this laptop as I believe this was done by someone who currently works at fingerhut...

Fingerhut billing for merchandise not ordered

They got my name and address somehow and started shipping worthless stuff--hand towels at $14.00 each (the bill arrived separately and later.) When I called them to get a return label, the person on the phone lied that my account "did not come up." I returned their trash, but ended up paying for shipping. After three days, another package arrived via FedEx, for $76, but I happened to be at home and refused to accept it.
How can this scam be stopped? I an leaving for Europe in a few days, and if they continue to ship and then bill me to ruin my credit, I will have to go to Police.

Fingerhut - safeline plus

I never realized that I was being charged for safeline plus on my account... I called to request it removed or have proof of enrollment and was told I can only be refunded for the past 60 days... I tried to ask for a phone number to safeline plus but was told there was none.. I will be contacting the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office.. This is illegal and fingerhut needs to know this

Fingerhut absurd charges

at issue is I purchased a wedding ring, poor quality. I returned it within a couple of days. they charged me a restocking fee for a wedding ring! how absurd is that. I refused to pay it. they then charged me interest on the restocking fee for 15 months. they ten turneded me into the credit reporting agencys for a delinquent account. not only that but somehow they made up anoter account for the same infraction. on my credit report right now I show two different delinquent accounts making my credit bad for refusing to pay the restocking fee on a wedding ring I contacted them they said everthing is correct on my account live with it! holy moley where is justice in America. please don't buy nothing from this piss poor company!
