Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how FedEx handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with FedEx and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

FedEx worst company on earth

Every single time FedEx is supposed to deliver a package to my home, I have a problem--it's unbelievable they are still in business! Two weeks ago they were supposed to deliver a package to my home-I was home that day-the package did not need a signature. I tracked the package when it didn't arrive at the end of the day-their website said that the driver tried to deliver it, but no one was home to sign for it! LIAR! No one came to my door that day--my dog barks whenever anyone comes to the door--she did not bark all day! Plus it did not need a signature--so another lie. I called FedEx and within an hour, my package was delivered.

I expected another package to be delivered yesterday. It never arrived. I checked the tracking number-their website said it was delivered--a lie--I was home all day and watching out of my window-not one FedEx truck came down the street. I called FedEx--they told me the driver told them he left it in my driveway near my car--I told them there was no car in my driveway--so he's lying--and where is my package? No one knows! Today FedEx put a tracer on it---I doubt I will ever receive my package--who knows what the driver did with it--well, I hope he chokes on the coffee that was in the package!

I absolutely REFUSE to buy from anyone who uses FedEx as a shipperfrom now on--it's not worth the aggravation and time spent trying to right their mistakes. I just don't get it--can't their delivery people READ addresses? And the lies are too much at this point! It's as if FedEx is a "free for all"--anything goes and is acceptable. I can only hope they go out of business--they don't deserve people depending on them.

FedEx no customer service

In order to finalize a passport application, I was required to send further documentation to the passport office in Seattle, Wa. I was asked to forward the documents overnight with proof of delivery and signature in order to finish my application.

Because this timing was critical, I used FedEx to ship the documents. I prepared and shipped the package on Friday, 1/9/2009, and paid for Priority Overnight shipping so that the package would be at the passport office on Monday morning, 1/12/2009.

The package arrived in Seattle on Saturday (the next day) scheduled for delivery to the office on Monday. I monitored the FedEx website from 8:00 am to noon on Monday to confirm that the package had been received but all it showed was that the package was on the FedEx vehicle for delivery. At noon, I finally called the 1-800 number to find out where my package was. After several minutes on hold, I was told that someone was trying to contact the driver. I called back an hour later, again I was told they were trying to contact the driver to find out the delivery status. Finally at 3:00 pm, I was told that they were “pretty sure” the package had been delivered but that the driver had already left for the day and I would have to wait until Tuesday to confirm delivery.

My complaint at that point was that I needed proof of delivery that day, which is why I paid for Priority Overnight shipping and that the timing of this delivery was critical because I had to contact the main passport office in Washington, DC, which is 3 hours ahead of us, to prove I had sent the required papers. I was told that a customer service advocate would contact me.

A little after 4:00 pm, I called back because no customer service advocate had ever called me. At that time, I was basically told “too bad, there’s nothing we can do.”

On Tuesday morning (1/13/2009), I again monitored the internet for proof of delivery. I called FedEx at 11:00 am to find out the status of my package. They again told me they would try to contact the driver and find out where the package was, they understood why I would be upset and a supervisor by the name of Mr . Haberly would contact me because of the foul-up. NO ONE EVER CALLED……EVER.

At noon on Tuesday (1/13/2009), the website finally showed the package had been delivered; however, there was no signature image available. I am asking for a phone call from the supervisor Mr. Haberly. I think it would be appropriate if I was reimbursed for my fee since my package was not delivered in a timely way. I paid top dollar for their service and didn't receive the service that I should have been given. Mostly I just wanted someone to do what they told me they would do-like return my calls.

FedEx huge overpricing on shrink wrapping

I went into the FedEx Kinkos on 19th off Mildred in Tacoma, WA (close to Tacoma Community college) on Saturday, Janaury 16, 2010, to have a simple shrink wrapping job done on some items before shipping them .

I expected to pay somewhere between 55 and 75 cents because these are the prices that Minuteman Press and Office Depot charge, respectively.

The job was finally done after having to argue with the clerk that it could be done. When he brough the package to the counter, I asked what the charge was.

This guy told me the charge was $5.45! $5.45!

I stared at him and said "WHAT?!" He repeated the charge. I asked him what the excuse was for charging so much. He told me the "setup charge" was $5.00!

I told him that Minuteman Press and Office Depot charged no more than $.55 to $.75 and that there was no setup charge loud enough for every customer there to hear. I further said this was highway robbery. When I got home, I called that store and told them I was going to spread the word on the net and at Office Depot so they could use it in their advertising.

I want my $5.00 back on principle and I want the word spread as far and wide as possible that this outfit is scamming the public on the pretense of public service. I have the reciept to prove everything I have said.

I work for FedExoffice (kinkos) and things will never change. The corporate apparatus in Dallas makes it very very hard for employees to do their job effectively becasue of sooo much redtape and mind numbing redunant systems and processes. This company talks alot but does not put its words into action. They have very little regard for its employees and doesnt trust or respect its emp[loyees yet expects it in return. Fedexoffice won’t tell the truth it will lie before it lets people kinow whats really happening but the majority of its employess 75-80% are bitter and hate there job. They disagree with the direction and management style. The biggest enemy that employees have is its own corporate supervisors. The competiton and customers take a back seat to the amount of problems created by our own corporation. Employee customer service is largely becausr the employees are asked to do and know alot for little pay and the company manages from a very negative perspective. Emp-loyees and manager operate with a target on their back and are constantly being indirectly harrassed andput into very stressful situations. The bottom line is that Fedex office really doens tcare at all about its employees so long as they are money making robots.

FedEx claims payments

Below is the latest email I have sent to FedEx Claims.
We will see how long it takes...

Hello again Sherry Bradfield.

I am quite disappointed in FedEx for many reasons regarding this claim.

Information on the claim has been very hush. I have had to find out where my money is. Where has my communication been from FedEx? A good company policy would be to keep the customer informed. Without customers, FedEx is nothing.

I will not be conducting any business over the phone because there is no permanent record of what has been said or promised. No record equals no proof, which means nothing.

I requested a check in the mail for the entire refund, which includes the product as well as shipping.

If my company has a claim, I am at my customers home immediately discussing the problems and getting their input on what they want, so I can make the remedy. FedEx should take note.

I had to email you numerous times to find out when you gave a refund shipping credit, but you still with-hold what is being refunded and for how much.

SO I WILL TELL YOU.

* I did get a refund to my credit card for $11.90 on Jan 2, 2010. This appears to be a credit for shipping that charged to my card on Nov 5, 09. Not very fast customer service considering this credit was due to a problem that was FedEx admitted, FedEx fault, FedEx mis-delivery.

* I have yet to get a credit on my credit card or a check in the mail [which was my requested refund method ... over the phone] for the insured cost which was below value and a below average insured amount of just $40.00.

I STILL DO NOT HAVE PAYMENT/CREDIT/REFUND FOR MY PRODUCT VALUE ! ! !

I an waiting for a prompt reply as to how and when my prompt refund will be granted, which I expect will be my preference of a paper check, mailed to my residence.

Sincerely,
Jeff of Davis, CA

If you have a FedEx claim, get your claim number over the phone and then do all the followup via email so you can post the problems. Every body deserves to hear ... maybe FedEx will step up and prove that they are better than their competition ... or they will get eaten by their competition. GOOD LUCK ! ! ! ;-)

FedEx everything! fedex is incompetent!

This isn't a new thing. It seems that sadly everytime a company decided to ship with FedEx, I and the other members of my family get screwed over. There is a long history of this. It's always the same driver, too, who is just plain lazy. He claims every time he cannot find the address. We call. He then amazingly fines us and delivers. We are greeted with the same ignorant looking face everytime.

This time, however, it was worse than usual.

First off, FedEx claimed the weather was too horrible to deliver. There is snow on the ground, yes, but you know what? UPS came the same day with an Amazon Prime order. Why is it that UPS can deliver but FedEx cannot?

Next day...

Same thing.

Third Day...
Oh, wow, they claim they cannot find my address. SUPRISE SUPRISE! Not to mention that I had to call, got an outsourced customer rep in India who couldn't even properly repeat my directions back to me. Who knows if he even sent the right message to the driver.

Will I get my package tomorrow? I don't even know anymore.

FedEx is an incompetant company. If you ship FedEx, please stop. Don't give these people money. Plus, they don't care. They hier the most unintelligent people on the face of the planet. While it may be slightly more expensive, please ship UPS. I've never had problems.

Absolutely agree horrible experience my mil is fighting cancer she has bought our son a trampoline... REALLY SMALL BOX they're a pack of blind incompetent people that can't read labels then they turn around and blame the non delivery on USPS (this was a smart post package) Post Master has never received package verified over and over same information... FEDEX are a bunch of liars that keep changing their story... They either can't read labels or they employ a bunch of thieves that think it's okay to steal your childs exceptional christmas gift from their dying grandmother... USE USPS it's worth it...

FedEx forced to pay for shipment twice

A shipment was sent to me later than I had expected it, with a delivery date while I would be out of town. I called to request a reroute, at which time I was told it would be no problem and to call back after the first failed delivery attempt to my home. Per the rep's instructions I called back the evening of the first failed attempt and "successfully" requested a reroute to my location away from home; the representative told me the package should arrive within the week. Two days later I checked the tracking system and to my surprise the status is listed as "undeliverable: returned to sender." I call customer service once again, I'm told they do see the reroute in their notes, however, there's no way to intercept the shipment at this point. Now, I'm stuck paying $40 dollars to have my purchase shipped from IL to CA once again ... $80 in total fees. Total rip-off, of course they've no incentive to reroute items when it'll result in double the shipping fee for them. Their excuse: we try to accommodate reroutes, BUT we don't GUARANTEE them. Well, isn't it convenient that FedEx omitted that caveat when they 'confirmed' the reroute!
I don't plan on using FedEx again anytime soon.

FedEx sucks

I learned the last time I was sent a package Fedex home delivery that required a signature was torture. They won't tell you what time to expect and they won't let you leave a signed card.

This week I was to receive a package from California. I checked the on-line tracking, only to find the sender requested a signature. I called Fedex to see what could be done. They advised that I request the package be rerouted to my place of business. I agreed and the agent gave me a case number. A few days later, at my house was a Fedex attempted delivery notice. So much for the rerout. I called Fedex and they had no record of the reroute, telling me the agent shouldn't have allowed me to make the request since they hadn't yet tried to deliver. Frustrated, I asked the agent to make sure the package was delivered to my home the next day (today) as I decided to stay and wait for it. The agent said he made the note and I would see the package today. I waited until noon, no package. I called Fedex, and was told the package was on route to my home. By 5:00. still no package. I called Fedex again and got someone who who actually tried to help. After they made several calls, they finally came back and confessed that they didn't know where my package was. They think they may have transfered it ti Fedex ground to be delivered to my work place. FEDEX wasted my entire day. Even the post office isn't this bad. Never use Fedex for ground or home delivery.

I recently bought a case of wine from a Healdsburg winery. I was very excited to be getting wine delivered to my home that I liked at the winery. I didnt think twice about asking how it was to be delivered to my Oakland home. However, as it was shipped FEDEX HOME DELIVERY, the deal went south !. The wine not only was delivered broken, but was delivered via a small auto leaking oil on my driveway. The winery gave me the tracking number, but the delivery date was 3 days after the first delivery attempt. The drivers apparently kept the box of wine in his CAR for three days because he didnt have any other deliveries to make in my urban area of Oakland ? I spoke to the driver briefly and he was very matter of fact about the whole thing, and was asked me why I shipped the wine FedEx ? He suggested it go UPS nexttime... because they go to my area daily. I found that strange at the time, but I also would agree as I can see that FedEx Ground Home Delivery uses an independent contractor outfit to handle Oakland and elsewhere in US. I asked the winery to ship the next box UPS. They apparently had UPS, but left and were in the process of going back to UPS because FDX was not working out ...

Sadly I agree about Fed Ex, I was to have a package delivered and it wasnt on the day it was supposed to said I had a bad street address on tracking. I had to call to verify my address(they had the right one) the next day wasnt delivered again but this time it was listed early enough I could call right away. This time when I called I guess they contacted the driver and said the street address and 911 address were not the same, so he couldnt deliver.
Fortunately he did take it to my wifes work but we live in a city so question is what does 911 address have to do with Fed Ex and USPS and UPS and Schwans etc have no problem with our address so what is the deal. BTW street address is 107 Main st

don't switch back and forth with changing up addresses...

just pre-sign a form from the internet if it requires an INDIRECT signature
or leave a note with your signature on it as well as where to leave your package

some ground and home delivery warehouses aren't close to each other & the 800 number messages/ emails have to trickle down to the correct warehouse and may not get to them on time to change it up as often as you did...

FedEx overcharging, would not give invoice

In August I had to send some aquamarines in matirx (mineral specimens) back to a consigner in Peshawar, Pakistan. I opened an account with Fed Ex for this shipment and future, using a credit card to pay. I was told the cost would be about $400 on the phone, and I was offered a one time discount which would make it $175, which was connected to a number they gave me to give to the receiving employee of Fed Ex. I took the package in to a Kinko's Fed Ex office and they knew nothing about such discounts, but took the parcel that had a computer generated label and I gave the number that would give a discount. I was not given a cost at that time, just a receipt of accepting it. When I got my visa statement the cost was $400. I had to charge the poor man in Peshawar for the cost and I argued with Fed Ex and over the phone got Fed Ex to admit they did not give the discount, and they did not lower it to the agreed price, just in between, and they would not give me a receipt with cost to show the owner in Peshawar. They said my only receipt would be the visa receipt that had the wrong price anyway. So basically Fed Ex
overcharged and caused problems in my company not being able to show true cost to the person who eventually was paying the bill. So I had no proof because the
offer of discount was made on the phone, was not given until I complained, and I closed the account when told I would not get receipts of cost for shipments from Fed Ex.

FedEx bad service

Fed Ex Sucks. I've been forced to use them 5 times in the last 3 years or so, and every.single.time they screw up my delivery.

They delivered an iPod to my neighbor's once, they lost a package once, and now for the second time I've had a "Delivery Exception" which means someone basically said ### it, and took my package back to the warehouse/sorting facility.

After staying home all day to sign for the package that was paid for and due to arrive Next Day by 3PM, my package hasn't arrived and won't be arriving today due to "high volume" and "road conditions". I cancelled plans for the day to be home since it was signature required. Now I have to visit family tomorrow (christmas eve) and can't sit around waiting for the Fed Ex driver to finally feel like delivering my package. Fed Ex is ###.

Crappy service, crappy customer service. At 5:30I called to check on the status of my package and was told it was still on the truck and that the driver "will keep delivering until everything is delivered". I knew it it wasn't coming. An hour later I get an email informing me of the "Delivery Excfeption". Christ, I hate Fed Ex.

I will NEVER AGAIN use Fed Ex. I encourage everyone to use either UPS or the USPS instead. Fed Ex is completely unreliable.

Fed Ex sucks, the delivery exception is where i have been for the last 3 days, i called to pick up the package 26 miles away but fed ex said that is impossible because it is already on the truck, an i just have to wait for there (lazy) driver to show up with it. Instead of holding it at there office where i could pick it up in person, which apparently was too much an inconveince to them... (customer rep translation: hey [censor] you, we can't be bothered by customers about there packages and you will get you package when we feel you need to get it.)

I disagree with the USPS recommendation. I ordered something on eBay on 12/16 and it has just been aimlessly floating around Illinois for the last week. I live in Maryland and didn't think ANYTHING took a week to get here from Illinois, much less the small thing I ordered.

FedEx unsafe driver

On 12/20/2009, at approximately 11pm a Fed Ex driver cut me off and caused me to go over into the far left lane to avoid hitting him. I was driving South on I-75 outside of Macon, GA by exit 140 when a Fex Ex driver driving a dually truck cut me off from the right hand lane. He was exceeding the speed limit and riding someones bumper. As he was passing me on the right side he quickly turned on his left turn signal, cutting over into the left lane and caused me to be forced to go over into the far left lane in order for me to avoid a collision with him. For any of the Fed Executives his trailor plate number is P187010 Indiana Plate. I would strongly suggest that this person be reprimanded for his violent driving before he causes a terrible accident that involves fatalities. I was very fortunate that there was not a vehicle in the far left lane.

Fed ex driver truck number: 138712 enter onto 421 south (Business 40) Kernersville, NC off the Macy Grove exit around 11:15pm, I moved into the left lane. Right before the next exit which is highway 66 he/she turned on there signal to move into the left lane, I was beside the truck and it starts to come into my lane. As I was passing the truck they moved over into the left lane on my bumper, when I was able to move into the right lane, they did the same and rode my bumper for at least five miles when the traffic allowed them to move over into the left lane they moved into that lane rode up beside me and kept up with me then backed off.

Today 10-02-2018 @ around 1535- Fed Ex driver exiting Hawk's Preserve (Ft. Myers Fl) was operating his step van very unsafely in a very dangerous intersection that has had many fatalities in recent years. Lic plate was something like JB6 65G.
Driver came out of community- across east and west bound lanes-blocking vision of the vehicle turning left in front of him- cut me off in right lane westbound- without yielding- as required by law, . There have been multiple fatal accidents @ this intersection in recent years- but one would expect better from drivers trained by Fed Ex.

FedEx - Lying about attempted delivery

This is ridiculous. I had some issues with Fedex and UPS before but this should be flat out illegal. I live in a residential complex with 8 building and a central office that closes at 6pm. They usually get all the Fedex and UPS packages for the resident. I stayed home from work and never got a ring at the door, but upon checking the tracking it stated that...

Package was sent from AZ to CA on 6-12-08. Package arrived in SJ, CA on Mon. 6-16-08. Home delivery only works Tues. to Sat. That's 1 day wasted. First attempt for delivery was 6-17-08 @ 14:39 p.m.. Hey, I am at work at 14:39 p.m.. Second attempt for delivery was on 6-18-08 at 12:25 p.m.. Hey, I am at work then too. Wait, I can't go get my packages from FedEx home. Oh I am hosed, aren't I. YUP! See, if your going to deliver packages when nobody is home, you NEED to have the package available for pick up after hours. Leading package ransom artists is more like it. Pure BS!

I have sent several packages via FedEx and have had 50% of them mishandled. The first was a package that apparently was dropped or smashed, breaking a bottle that was inside. The package was then opened, the bottle then taken out, it was resealed and shipped without warning or acknowledgement. The next was a package that was shipped and when arrived the contents were smashed and the product was unusable. Now this 3rd time is my final straw and I will NEVER use FedEx again. In fact I will do everything I can to make sure I hamper there buisness from here on out. I was out of town and had a friend ship a package. He never had used FedEx before so when he got there they assisted him with the airbill and didn't give him his tracking number. Then they charged him for next day delivery. A week went by and the package wasn't delivered. So I called numerous contacts to find my package and they all said package wasn't in the system. I am now out the contents of that package and with no compensation or care from the service provider. They have mishandled and opened my mail, which is a Federal Offense that will go unnoticed and unrepremanded due to the fact I can't financially make this aware through legal means. If the mail system in America doesn't work no wonder the economy can't either.

FEDEX is freaking horrible, I was home all day waiting for my laptop and the person never showed up and then left a door tag down stairs with no information on it at all so i didnt even know that it was suppose to be for my apartment. Then i looked on the web site the next day to see if i could pick it up and they have it noted that it was delievered to my building. someone else signed for MY laptop and the sad part is that he must be couldnt read that he took it to the first door he seen instead of actually taking it to where it belonged. HORRIBLE SERVICE i will never do business with them again. NEVER

So your package was submitted by sender on Friday night, picked up by FedEx on Saturday or possibly Monday. Wednesday sounds like two days from Monday to me. FedEx doesn't work/deliver/do pickups on Sundays. And same applies to Saturdays in many areas as well. Two days means two BUSINESS DAYS.

fedex's delivery service is horrible, I made four phone calls, 3 days gone by, and yet I still have not received my package, fedex tracking site says "incorrect address", but address is correct and fedex deliveried packages before, i also left detailed info on how to get there, they still can not find it. I even leave my cell phone # for them to contact me in case they get lost, but no call & no delivery.

FedEx driver can't find my front door???

Fedex home delivery - I will never use their service again - even if that means paying more to have an item shipped. What an incredibly unprofessional delivery system. Either these drivers are the laziest people on earth, or they hate their jobs thereby punishing customers with extremely poor service.

Today makes the third time fedex has "chosen" to place my box/package in the driveway (Literally) in front of my garage door! Why can every other delivery service in the area find my huge front porch and front door; fedex drivers just toss my orders on the pavement. They never knock or ring the doorbell. My package was perishable and had it gotten wet, the product would have been totally ruined; i'm surprised it wasn't stolen.

The final straw was the "door tag" which should have been hanging on my front door, instead it was nicely taped to the top of the box - totally blank as the driver filled in no information. I double checked my order on line.in the details area showing my delivered order, the driver wrote, "left at front door. Signature service not requested". Fedex - how about a total employee overhaul? Can't imagine how your company survives.

YMMV since some are either temporary/ seasonal drivers out there this month...

like i said, file the complaint on their website or the 800 number, you have the door tag tracking number on it

they'll track down that driver and if he's a subcontractor, he'll lose his bonus & possibly pay a fine for it as well for poor service

dan, you're in the wrong here...

this person that complain has a legit complaint!

I also am a driver, but I will not put a package out to get wet if the garage isn't open

i love customers with covered porches and this driver should have placed it there and noted it on his scanner before scanning the door tag

sure, it also takes time to write on those dumb post-it notes, but it gives the customer a second tracking number if some theif followed us to find a package and keep it for themselves...

i always put the post it note on the door or stuck on the outside of their mailbox since that's where the customer will likely go when they come home...

yea, i probably take longer than some to finish my route, but I rarely have a complaint against me & that's what sub-contractors love to see... because if you file a LEGIT COMPLAINT, the contractor will have to pay out of his / her own pocket to cover it!

Oh and the door tag does not need to be filled out unless we do not leave the box, then all we need to put is a time and what attempt. So final straw hah. You have probally done something to piss that driver off, and telling from your rant online, you probally were a dick/### to him in person at some point. Get a life and and stop posting your boo hoos online. I have a route of customers that love me.

lol wow. Im a fed ex home contractor and lets see if you have no signiture required we can leave the box wherever we want. Especially your garage door, even though i take the extra effort to hide it near peoples front doors. But sorry its your own fault for not putting a indirect or direct signiture being required. By not requireing a sig you allow us to release anywhere, even your neighbors if we want. We are payed by the carton unlike others that get paid hourly. ALso we have to pay our own workers comp insurance so if you have stairs to your front door we try to avoid thouse. Ive fallen down stairs 5 times, hell ims itting at home with a swollen ankle right now becaue i fell again on friday from having to carry a 60 lb box up stairs for a lil old lady. You probally have a older driver. Next time choose that a signiture is required and you want have this issue, so dont ### about not choosing options for shipping correctly, just like if you didnt put insurance on yoru box and it dissapered in transit...not our problem you didnt care about the order enough to put insurance on it. Now if only you knew how dhl, ups, and fed ex all shipped your ### in trucks, and throw them on pallets and load them in the trucks no one would ship with anyone.

They are independent contractors who get paid by the individual box unlike the salary professionals who are ground services. Home delivery buy their own trucks too.

FedEx lost package, misleading customer, lies and insults

The FedEx package was picked up by the FedEx representative on September 20, 2009 and was lost by the FedEx service in the Paris (France) airport on October 1, 2009. To begin with, FedEx never informed me about the loss of the package. When I discovered that the package was never delivered, I contacted the FedEx service - and this is when the nightmare started. The FedEx representatives were rude and misleading, always lying to me about the case's status. Several times I was told that I do not have to do anything since they have their regular procedure of dealing with similar cases. I was told that the complaint was filed on my behalf and that the Claims Department will be in touch with me due in time. However, since nobody called me, few weeks later I made an attempt to communicate with the mentioned Claims Department. To my surprise, I found that the FedEx representatives were not willing to connect me with the Claims Department. Even when placing a phone call through an automatic service and asking for the Claims Department, my call was always going somewhere else but not to the Claims Department. Whenever calling FedEx, I was always connected to a representative who was then passing my call to another person and so on and so forth, endlessly. I was often placed on hold with the longest waiting time of 25 minutes. Each time I was connected to the next FedEx representative, I was asked to repeat what exactly was in the lost package. Each time the FedEx representative was telling me that s/he has no record of the package's content, although I was specifying it during each of my phone calls to FedEx. Finally, after many days of torture and humiliation, one of FedEx employees told me that my complaint was never filed "on my behalf" and therefore nothing was transferred to the Claims Department. I personally filled out the complaint form (Claim No [protected]) and submitted it by Fax to the FedEx office. At the same time, I filed my complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB received several bureaucratic and formal letters from the FedEx representative. Later, I received a check for $100 from FedEx. I did not accept this check. It was sent back to Madame Sheila Flatt. I consider this pathetic check for $100 as yet another insult coming from the monster-business. Better Business Bureau failed to assist me with my effort to receive complete compensation from FedEx.
The consequences for me are of several natures:
1. Economic loss of $950.
2. Emotional damage: I was lied, insulted, misled and humiliated on multiple occasions.
3. Time loss: should the FedEx representatives be truthful, I would never wait for them "to file a complaint on my behalf"; should the FedEx phone system and employees be truthful, I would be able to either communicate with the Claims Department or would be informed that the customers are forbidden to communicate with the claims department.
4. Business and personal loss of a carrier: due to the lost trust in FedEx business, I had to make an effort on finding another carrier for all my future express mail services. It took time and additional effort to establish this new service.

I have nearly nonexistent FedEx service in my neighborhood in Pittsburgh and they don't care. I live in an urban apt building on the 3rd floor and they park on my side of the street a few doors down where it's hard to see their truck from my window. They have been knocking lightly once on the outside door (no doorbell), and no one in the building can hear them! They take off quickly after one knock and haven't been putting a doortag on the door either. They don't send an email a few days before expected delivery so I have no clue they're going to show up. Then I have to change the delivery to the downtown office, take the bus there and hope the box isn't too heavy for me to take back home! They don't respond to complaints on their Facebook page and their phone customer service is a joke! They cover their butts and make excuses and generally just don't care. They don't deserve to be in the same category as UPS - a real delivery service. I avoid sellers who only ship by FedEx if I can help it. Of course there's no way to complain on their website. They don't answer complaints.

FedEx - clearance delay

I mailed some very important documents on a friday. These documents contained very sensitive material pertaining to income tax returns. I mailed these at a Fedex Kinko's who asked me as to when I would need them to be delivered. We asked that it arrive at its destination, Cebu, Philippines on Monday. There was no problem upon mailing them. It's only upon...

FedEx no delivery

Another one against Fedex - they're useless! I was supposed to receive a package for my daughters birthday - guaranteed next day delivery. Surprise, surprise, it didn't show up!
I phoned to make enquiries to be told that " I wasn't in when the delivery driver called and he had left a card"
Biggest load of tosh going! I WAS in - there was NO CARD.
When I suggested to the unhelpful lady at "Customer Services" (VERY loose term), that the driver was a liar (which he IS), I was told by her that it wasn't in his best interest not to deliver (then WHY DIDN'T HE?)
Useless company - worst I've ever had misfortune to deal with.
Crap customer service, lying drivers!

I sent my 76 year old mom living in Oxford England a magazine and photos for her Birthday on the 23 July. They say they cannot deliver it because they need directions. She received a phone call today asking if the address on the package was the same as hers. She confirmed and they said they might delivery her package in a couple of days. They messed up her Christmas delivery 7 months ago. What is going on? Fedex if you read this, please take action. This is not service. Also purchase GPS systems or a computer to Google addresses.

Fedex at Canarsie is a piece of suprise. There, they do whatever they want. A driver will never arrive and they will enter it as a delivery exception, and there is much more..., another one, will bang on your door as if he wants to break it, despite, that our condos have door bells.
Fedex is no longer what it used to be.
From now on, I will make sure that nothing ships with Fedex! Now, new other compnanies doing a significantly better job...Forget about Fedex!

FedEx compaq netbook

On Tuesday October 20th I ordered a compaq mini netbook from Hp and it was to be delivered the earliest Friday October 23rd and the latest Monday October 26th, this was the free gift that I chose because I had recently purchased the fios package, when I placed the order the representative told me that a signature would be required during the time of delivery. When I arrived home on Friday night I found a post note on my door stating that fed ex delivered my package and left it at the back door, I checked the back door and was confused because the back door is always kept locked. On Saturday I went to the fed ex office and the rep said my package was not there but gave me a telephone number to the Bethpage office where the package left from. I spoke to a woman named Andrea that claimed she was a manager and she stressed that the package was indeed left at the back door. After getting NOWHERE with her she said she would call the driver and then call me back, she called back stating that the driver said he would redeliver the package today.(keep in mind he said he left the pakcage the day prior at the backdoor) I asked her what time frame because I had appointments scheduled, she said she didnt know. This call took place about 12:30, by 6 no delivery had come because of this apparent lie I missed two very important appointments. On Monday I tried calling the Bethpage office and conveniently that office is closed on Mondays. I then called the coporate headquarters and spoke to Jenny Sterling in Kansas of the customer advocate desk. On Tuesday October 27 a Reta Lynn called and stated that she was contacting this office and would have a reponse in 48 hours. I called back on Wednesday the 28th and was completely jerked around for about 4hours total. Carnmen Echols (corporate office) Jason Pannetta (manager for contractor at home delivery of Bethpage office) have all been USELESS! To add insult to injury I called HP just to let them be aware that I never received my netbook from Fed ex and they tell me (supervisor named KC ) that before they redeliver my netbook I have to file a police report! This fiasco is holding me captive because of Fed exs carelessness and causing me to have to be inconvenienced. I would never ever deal with Fed ex again! I want this problem resolved ASAP and want to deal with professional qualified personnel who are truly concerned about resolving this issue QUICKLY!

Instead of traveling through all the employees of fedex, why not go to the source that stated there was going to be a signature required anyway - The shipper. If they failed to request the signature - then the source is coulpable. Although it is reasonable to expect the courier to the job correctly - i dont dispute that, but in this day in age, more headaches are created from the onset and are expanded by frustratated individuals. GO TO THE SOURCE and let them fix the problem. The can be the ones to argue with fedex.

FedEx scam and cheating

My wife is an active Publishers Clearing House participant which is fine because we get some really useful things from their mail order guides, however recently we have received 2 phone calls stating that we were 5 million dollar winners. As the phone calls play there way through with the customary congratulations etc. they then get into what you can do to make their scam work. The one caller even stated they contacted my local sheriff to escort them to my house, but the catchy part was I was told not to tell anyone about my big win. I was already skeptical and then the topic came up of the taxes which are this amount ... and they have managed to get them to this amount ..., that I just needed to send $2000.00 to them to get my check. His next comment was: "with all that money you won that should not be a problem" ... and I said tomorrow it won't be! When I see it I would believe it and I would be happy to give you 2k, but I'm just not comfortable doing this over by the phone ... and he hung up on me.

Today I returned a call from someone claiming to be from FedEx saying they are trying to ship me a package. Again, I already know FedEx leaves notes on the door saying they were here etc ... so I call the number and the voice is the same person who left the message. What are the chances of first anyone answering the phone at FedEx and then to have the same person answer it was real fishy? Anyway I again let the phone conversation play its way out until she got to the part were I need to give them $800.00 for my 5 million check to be shipped. My first thought was at least this scammer is a lot cheaper than the other one:). My wife then got on the phone and gave the lady an ear full and said we were going to report them and she hung up on my wife. The reason I am writing this is: first I am pissed that someone is trying to scam me and second that there is going to be someone who bites on this scam and they are going to lose their money.

I bought over the internet a item from a private seller. The seller shipped me my package through Fedx to my home. After not receiving my package on time I did a internet trace with the tracking number. It was reported that the package was delivered and left on my porch. I know this did not happen since my wife, myself and my very alret dog were home at the time the package was supposedly put on my porch.

I live in the woods in a remote area off a road that seldom traveled I am sure if the driver was down my long driveway that my motion detectors would have signaled me, and me or my wife would have heard him coming up my steps. After calling the Fed-X customer service every day for over a week I had no satisfaction. I got many different stories from many different Fed X reps. that did not concur with one another.

Finally after more than a week later, I was called by my local FedX office in Columbia, S.C and advised that the driver made a mistake and put the package on a neighbors porch, and went back to the neighboring house to retrieve the package and bring it to me. This neighbors house is a cabin in the woods and is seldom used. After finally getting in touch with the neighbor on their cell phone I was told they haven't been by their house and know nothing about the package.

After conveying this information back to the manager at my local office I was told to have the shipper file an insurance claim. I was also tod that FedX uses part time drivers through a vendor and he had little control over the driver who lost my package. He also said the money would be taken out of the drivers pay to cover the loss and he would be reprimanded by his company. I explained that that would not help me much, and I would be out of pocket $108.

after possibly getting a $100. insurance refund after the seller, not me files and receives the claim, which could take several more weeks. I explained that would not be sastisfactorely for me. He than asked what it would take to sastisify me, and I told him I wanted FEDX to send me a check for the full amount of $208. I was than told that that would not be possible due to the fact of him not knowing for sure how much the package was worth.

I researched my records and found the money order for the amount of the purchase along with dated copies of all my e-mail communications with the seller, that I offered to send him to prove my dollar lost value. I was than told that since the seller did not choose to pay extra for more insurance to cover the loss, that it was his error and not FEDX and they will not help me in any way other than the $100. miniumn insurance refund.

So, I explained to the manager that the seller was not the person who lost my package, but it was the FEDX driver. I also let him know that the handling of the matter by FEDX cust. service failed me in every way. Also the fact that they use temp. employees who are irresponsible. At no time did the driver ever come to me and explain what happened or to apologize in any way.

It was also found that the driver closed out the call one day after I reported the package missing. I assume he was trying to hide his mistake, and the package was never left on anyones porch. My neighbor is a very honest and respectful person who would never steal my package. It is also very peculiar to the fact that in my 20 years living here that nothing was ever stolen, or any larceny problems of any kind has ever happened.

It amused me that every time I called FEDX cust service I was put on hold, and while waiting I repeatably heard the message that if you are using DHL for a carrier that you should switch to FEDX. So, I assume that DHL is considered by them to be a business threat. I know form personal experience the cust service provided by DHL is way better than FEDX provided me.

FEDX proved to be in my mind to be a bunch of lying, irresponsible, cheap people who just can't seem to get their story together. I am sure the extra $108 extra dollars I asked them for would have really hurt their budget. They have been spending millions on football commercials and I live on a small fixed income, so go figure. I hope their happy that they rained on my parade and ruined the Holidays for my wife and I FEDX, if you are reading this, I hope you all choke on the lousy $108 you stole from me. I will be shipping DHL, UPS, or the Post office from now on.

there is no way i can move it or relocate it to my home door. FedEx drivers are almost as bad a UPS, they used to do the same thing until i kept reporting them to their home office.
I am to old (74) for this crap any more. I guess i will refuse the package.
