I have been doing business with this company for over 15 years. I own every movie they have ever produced. Each time they produce a new set of movies they contact me and yes i buy everyone they put out. It is one of the very few places that you can purchase movies today that has absolutely no sex scenes and no profanity for those parents and grandparents (Like myself) who want to teach their children positive moral values. I have never had any problems with this company. I have returned cd's that were damaged and they were instantly replaced. I have called to defer payents that i had previously set up with them and never had any type of problem. I have never recieved any calls from them unless they have new movies they have released and i am very pleased to recieve those calls.

I am very honored to have been a very satisfied customer of theirs and will continue to give them my full support. Please feel free to contact with me any comments.

I am trying to contact them, but every phone number I have is no longer in service or disconnected. I don't get it.
Did the Dems shut them down? I pray to God that is not the case.

When FFF contacted me a few months ago, they said that there was a portion of their company that was being shut down or discontinued. I think they said they were merging or being bought out by Stepping Stones, who is the company that produces most of their films.

Also, you may be right on your hunch. I found this: https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/documents/cases/11-419cfcvftc_365_permanentinjunction-and-cpjudgment.pdf

I would just like to log a non - complaint - - - this company is trying to make the world a better place by providing suitable entertainment for children and families. Sometimes individual employees are not the best representatives of the company as a whole. Try not to be so judgemental.

I ordered from this company years ago because I like the movies. I received a phone call from a man representing himself to be from this company who tried to sell me movies 6 or 8 of them for 120.00. After telling him no, thank you, I can't afford them at this time and hanging up...2 weeks later I received the videos ANYWAY. NOW I get called EVERY week sometimes 3 times a week asking me when I'm going to pay for the videos that I DID NOT ORDER. I complain to each one that asks for payments that I never ordered to begin with. Can't send them back as my daughter has lost the envelope thing where I could send them to. The videos are sitting with the plastic still on them, on a shelf in my room. I refuse to pay for something I did not order. Want them back? Come get them. I'm not paying shipping for something I did not order. I will NEVER do business with this company again.

I am surprised by the complaints I am reading about this company's phone calls. I have been ordering from Feature Films for Families for almost ten years, and I have not ever had a problem with this company. Over the last two years I have asked them to only call me once every three months, and they have honored that every time. I do not get hounded by phone calls - ever! FFF used to only get phone numbers for contacting new customers, from current customers. I am not sure if they still do this, but at one time their business was on a word-of-mouth basis. As far as pushing people to buy things, they do always try to add on another movie. If you say no, then they ask about adding on a kid's coloring book that goes along with the teaching values of the movie; if you say no, they may ask one more thing. However, the representatives I have dealt with over the years are never rude, and handle no's just fine. They are no different than any other sales company I have dealth with, in that respect only. Please keep in mind that they are a 'family friendly' movie company meaning you are not going to be able to buy adult movies that are on the typical line of movies today. This is what Feature Films for Families is all about. They are movies for those of us, like myself, who are tired of all the violence, cussing, and sex that is so common place nowadays. I love FFF, and have not had a single problem with them in the ten years I have been a customer. I fully support their cause and the message they are sending to the entertainment industry: less violence, less cussing, less sexual passe attitudes, more family values. Darla

Thanks, Pixie, for your words. I, too, have been a customer for ten years and feel the exact same way as you do. I also have posted a positive post supporting them, as I also have never had an issue with them. It is almost as though these other complaints are about a difference company altogether. The complaints I have been reading do not describe the FFF that I have dealt with for the past ten years.

FYI Jessi is not a real person! He is an automated recording. Morals, family values and honesty, REALLY!? When I emailed the VP of the company and he phoned me back personally he assured me that a "real" operator would phone my house in ALL future calls. I said my kids did enjoy the films and I appreciate and respect what they are trying to do as a company. But these phone calls are deceitful, use trickery and make us feel foolish that we are actually talking to a live person. They even have an autmoated response for "Jesse" to laugh. When I received yet another automated "Jesse" phone call last week, I immediately said, I do NOT want to speak to this automated recording and need to speak to a live person! The automated reply was a recorded chuckle, followed by, do I really sound that bad!? Yes Jesse you do sound that bad, especially with your dishonest response. Morals, values I think NOT!

What some of you may fail to realize all together is it may not be FFFF at all. Myself anf my mother have ordered from them in the past along with several other family members and have never had any of the issues you all are referring to. Ever! But I did ordered magazines once from a company and for 2yrs I received calls to renew my subscription or ordered new magz. I asked them to stop calling and then the calls would come from another number supposedly representing the same company. When I reported it to BBB. I found out that it was telemarketer scam artist who were not affiliated with the company I originally ordered from at all, but who were able to purchase or steal my information to call me and harass me to get my money. This sort of thing happens all the time, so you shouldn't bad mouth the company and try and ruin their reputation when you may not know the whole story. Anf unlike Rebecca who does sound like an employee, I am not just an old customer who grew up watching FFFF's movies and value their work.

Billy Grahamm apparently hasnt gotten 4 calls a day, waking him up, bringing him away from his food so the pot overboils, and dispite many times being asked to stop the calls, they clearly dont call him back. We should all aspire to be Billy Grahamm, who is apparently immune to FFFF's harassment.

Feature Films for Families is a great company that does what it can to ensure customers are treated with the utmost respect. All requests to be canceled or taken off of the calling list are COMPLETED HONORED. Also as a company FFFF records and monitors employees interactions with customers on a daily basis. Employees found disrespecting customers or doing inappropriate things on the phone are dealt with immediately. Of course the company cannot catch all problems but they do what they can to minimize the number of issues. As for the “recording” spoke about, Feature Films does use a recorded message to communicate with its customers, however a live employee is always on the phone with each customer. The reason some employees use the recording systems is because with a prerecorded message management is able to control what is being said to each customer. If an employee is having a bad day, not feeling well or even if they have speech impediments or heavy accents, the program still allows for customers to get the same clear and concise message each time. Feature Films for Families truly is a great company that provides a needed service to communities across the country. Biased statements like these from a disgruntled former employee should not sway anyone on the good this company is doing for our nation!

I have bought movies from FFF for a couple of years and things have gotten financially tight. I informed them of this and let them know that when things got better I would resume my support. Just this month, I got a charge for $15 debited from my account (probably based on a checking account information I supplied them in the past. I would ask them politely to return this to me as I am disabled, but I don't know how to reach them as I do n ot have a phone number for them. I didn't save this info when I could afford to out of trust and I don't know how to get my money back or stop this from happening again. I can be reached at (sargon_om@yahoo.com ).

If they are not a fraudulent company they should be willing to return my money. What am I to do?

The ends do not justify the means. Production of family oriented films does not justify shady telemarketing practices. Probably the "noncomplaint" was submitted by Feature Films for Families.

Screamineagle, you are rude. I know that if you have done business with someone, the Do Not Call Registry doesn't apply, but it isn't right, legally or morally for a company to keep calling and calling when you have requested for them to stop. If that makes me a whiner, then so be it. Obviously you haven't been annoyed as much with their calls or you enjoy dealing with telemarkets.

This company should be sued for their overly-aggressive sales tactics. I've asked 15 times now for my name to be removed from their database, and they continue to call. This is SO frustrating! How many times do I have to flush before these guys disappear?

Wow - I hadn't realized I was a "whiner" and "ignorant of the law". Here's information direct from the FTC site:

My number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. After I bought something from a company, a telemarketer representing that organization called me. Is this a violation?

No. By purchasing something from the company, you established a business relationship with the company. As a result, even if you put your number on the National Do Not Call Registry, that company may call you for up to 18 months after your last purchase or delivery from it, or your last payment to it, unless you ask the company not to call again. In that case, the company must honor your request not to call. If they subsequently call you again, they may be subject to a fine of up to $11, 000.

An established business relationship with a company also will be created if you make an inquiry to the company, or submit an application to it. This kind of established business relationship exists for three months after the inquiry or application. During this time, the company can call you.

If you make a specific request to that company not to call you, however, then the company may not call you, even if you have an established business relationship with that company.

I have not had any interaction with FFFF in over 10 years. Which means they were violating the DNC act. And by refusing my requests to be placed on their own Do Not Call list, they were again violating the law.

Actions speak louder than words. I won't buy "moral" films if the money goes to pay telemarketers who employ illegal tactics and try to harass and and shame folks into buying their products. Sprint Wireless also repeatedly violated the DNC act - another company I will never do business with.

JM - thanks for the info. It's been a few months since the last call, but if I get another one I'll be all over it.

PLEASE READ THIS! Do NOT do business with them! They are also doing business as Visiplex Family Entertainment and My Family Explorer. Turn the tables on them as I have done! Call Matt Cooper's direct line at [protected]. He actually said "I don't know how you got through to me." He also told me "they aren't supposed to keep calling you." Yeah, right! Also email the Utah Better Business Bureau @ utah.app.bbb.org and lodge a complaint. This has got to stop! Other people at Feature Films for Families to contact are:

Screamingeagle is incorrect. If you are on the Do Not Call Registry and you do business with a company, then you are considered to have established a relationship with the company and they can call you for up to 18 months. However, if you request to be taken off their calling list, they must do so or face a fine of up to $11, 000. This information is from the website www.donotcall.gov.
By the way, I have also started getting frequent calls from this company after having made my last purchase from them about 15 years ago. It is not a real person calling, but a very clever computer program that responds to your word prompts. I have emailed them asking to be removed from their contactlist.

I have to agree about the harrassement from this company...I ordered films from them years ago in another state and have since moved, gotten re-married, and only use a cell phone. Imagine my suprise when they called my cell phone number asking for my former name (which has never been associated with this number). I have explained to them that I am not financially able to order movies at this time, but the calls keep coming, and coming, and coming.

Hey calls... this company is NOT trying to make the world a better place. They are trying to make money. That's it. If they were trying to make the world a better place they would NOT continually harass people to buy their films. I have asked Jesse (from FFFF) to remove our phone number from their database. He did not. He continues to call day and not. Not only is that unethical/immoral, it is also illegal. Making the world a better place? Ha...

Rebecca... Rebecca... FFFF DOES harass people. If you are REALLY a customer and not an employee simply wait a bit. The phone calls will start and they will never end. You won't be able to stop them without changing your phone number.

My wife is an elementary teacher and made the mistake of ordering a video from FFFF to show her students. She learned a valuable lesson... Do NOT, I mean DO NOT ever buy ANYTHING from this company. They will never let you go.

Our hope is that the recession will bankrupt the company.

That's all well and good, but when you ask - repeatedly - to be removed from the call list and they do not honor or respect your request, I have a problem with that. Being disrespectful is one thing they're supposedly trying to teach against!

I purchased movies from them & thought they were great. When I decided I did not want anymore I informed them in writing. I did not here from them for at least 2 years. I moved & they started calling again. FYI caller id says RoopVille, GA.

I do not believe you are acutually speaking to a person, but that is machine scripted responses thats why they just keep going...

I wonder who the company really is

I have purchased films from Feature Films for 7 or 8 years. Last year my husband lost his job. I explained this to the telemarker who called and asked them not to call, that I would more than likely purchase again when our situation became better, and I would call them when able to purchase. In a couple of months I started receiving calls. I again told the caller the same information and asked not to be called. A couple months ago, it started again. Every morning at 8:15 there would be a number, Ryan and Andrea or Jesse and Britn on my caller ID. They would call again, the same day at 8:30 p.m. (we wouldn't answer). Yesterday morning my husband answered the call and again asked to be taken off the list. He was told that the information that they had said I did not have a husband; that my husband couldn't tell them to do anything and that my husband should have me call and tell them to stop calling. This was all done very rudly and the telemarketer was sarcastic. I called them that night and told them what happend and that I should be taken off the list and that I would never buy from them again. It is a shame, I have purchased approximatel 100 movies from them over the years, and my children enjoyed them, but their marketing practices conflict with the morals they are trying to promote. I believe this company to be no different than any other, just trying to make a buck playing on the idea of good family entertainment. This company should find a new company to do their calling.

It doesn't matter if you are on a DNC registry! If you have supported the company before, then those laws actually don't apply to the call! Study the law before ya start whining about it.

While the company may produce moral product, their marketing practices are in violation of Federal Law. It is not just one individual - there are complaints all over the Internet about different individuals - and different phone numbers - calling people who are either on the National Do Not Call Registry (as I am) and/or who have requested to be placed on a Do Not Call list (as I also have). Morals are more than just your product - they are part of all aspects of your business. But not for Feature Films for Families...

I appreciate hearing your positive feedback about Feature Films for Families. It is true that you cannot judge an entire company based on what people are hired into their call center. Unfortunately, some people are simply not as polite as is really appropriate.

I find Feature Films for Families to be an extremely positive company. They are not trying to harass people into buying their videos. In fact, they offer two free DVDs just for visiting their site. Their singular goal is to produce family friendly/appropriate television. There have been recently published articles about what "family friendly" actually means. Pixar has stated that their family friendly status does not mean that it is appropriate to all ages, but rather that it is "friendly" to all ages. Feature Films for Families does not make this differentiation. They produce 100% moral films with no sexuality, vulgarity, or crudity. Not only that, but many of the films come with a moral guideline. And aside from that... I like them!
