No free physicals at Facey Medical

I saw my former doctor at Facey Medical for a physical in the fall of 2014, and was sorry to hear that she left Facey in December 2014. Imagine my surprise to get a bill for a $25 co-pay for my federally-mandated free physical exam half a year later in the summer of 2015! Facey waited around 3/4 of a year after my physical to bill me for supposedly asking three questions during my physical which is not covered as routine- including a question about a condition I had never even heard of! Really? Why would I ask a question about something I didn't even know the definition of?

Facey waited until my doctor had been gone half a year (so that she was not available to answer questions) before sending me a bill for a "sick visit"- generated due to the fictional three questions I never asked. I wrote several letters to Facey insisting that I had never asked any questions at all during my physical, and assured Facey that both my former doctor and I were very aware that asking questions that were not routine generated "sick visit" bills. Facey repeatedly replied insisting that I had indeed asked the three questions and therefore owed $25.

My former insurance company paid their share of the "sick visit" bill, and sided with Facey, stating that I had asked three questions during my physical, therefore, I owed $25. The customer service reps at the insurance company obviously didn't care that their employer had been ripped off- after all, it wasn't their money, and to investigate would be time consuming and cause them more work.

It is sad when a medical group calls you a liar repeatedly, as if you are so cheap that you have to resort to lying just to save $25. DO NOT use Facey Medical Group for your medical needs. Find a medical group that treats you fairly, which listens to you as a human being and a customer instead of treating you as a dishonest liar.

From 2008 to part year 2014, I had use only one insurance company, Anthem Blue Cross. I got married in 2014 and got pregnant in 2014, so my husband's insurance became my primary and Anthem Blue Cross secondary. I reported changes to my insurance to Facey and gave them all the insurance card they required to update my file. In January 2015, I had received a bill from Facey. I called to dispute to charge telling th male Facey representaive I spoke to that I had two insurance at the time of service and I dont see that either insurance paid and I see they only billed one. The representative told me to pay 100$ into the bill and they will try to sort if out. In 2016, I receive the bill again and then I called Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to find out why I had two insurance and still had to pay out of pocket. Blue Shield said it was not their responsibility but the responsibility of Anthem. The nice Anthem Blue Cross lady I spoke to told me that Facey tried billing them, but they asked Facey to provide explanation of benefits and documentation they received from Blue Shield. Facey blantantly refused saying it was my responsibility to pay the bill. The customer service representative insulted me and huing up. I called again and spoke to another representative who I shoul tell Anthem Blue Cross and Aetna to fax inquiries and they will respond.
Forward to 2017, I get sent to a bill collector. I told him that it is not my responsibility and that I was disputing that I am liable, when Anthem Blue Cross was willing to pay the bill. Then i come to find out the The Anthem customer Representative I spoke to in 2016 faxed a letter inquiry for more documentation and Facey never responded.
The bill collector went ahead and reported it as collections to my credit and they spoilt my credit. Not only am I not going to pay, but I am currently speaking to a lawyer to bring civil suit against Facey Medical Group because during my conference call with Facey and Anthem, it was established that the bill was not my responsibility, however, someone in Facey failed to do their job and as a result, they have ended up spoiling my credit
