Express Credit Auto No love for loyal customers!

I would like to share with you my experience at your dealership in Norman, Oklahoma on October 22, 2022. My husband and I are from Tulsa, we drove to Hobart to pick up his mother, Shirley Gildon, to bring her into the dealership because she had received a letter from your company stating she could trade in her car for no money down. Shirley is disabled and living on a fixed income but that has not limited her from being a great customer of yours for 6 years in which she has never been late or missed a payment. She currently drives a Ford Focus and was really interested in making a deal on a 2016 Rogue on the lot, out of all of the suv vehicles this one allowed her to get in and out of the vehicle easily without straining her back. When she arrived this Saturday afternoon she was under the impression she could trade her car in for anything on the lot and leave with no money down. Frank was our salesman and he told her that she couldn't get the Rogue because of her debt to income ratio and had her test drive a Kia Sol but it was still to low to the ground. She told Frank she wanted the Rogue so he came back with an offer of $400 down which was somewhat reasonable then some time passed and the manager, I didn't catch her name, came out and said there was nothing she could do on the Rogue unless Shirley had $2000 down. We again explained about her disability and we reminded her she was trading in her car as well. The manager basically shut us down and so we left. Out of curiosity I pulled up the Carvana website to see how much she could sell her car for, which will be paid off in October of 2023, but after putting in all of her information they came back with an offer to pay off the note on her car which is around $3,900 plus give her $1,337 in her pocket. Then I went a step further and looked up what they could get her into a Rogue for, they had several, many of them for 2 years newer, with less mileage, and up to $2,000 less on the total cost and if she financed through them they were only asking for $100 down. But my complaint is how your manager just disregarded Shirley and her impeccable payment history. With in house financing your company has more flexibility to help meet the needs of your customers than traditional lots and I am just shocked and disappointed your company has no compassion for loyal customers like Shirley Gildon.

Desired outcome: We are coming back up November 3rd to take Shirley to find another company to purchase a vehicle. If you want to keep her as a customer the ball is in your court.

This screenshot was taken directly from your companies website, which states the down payments are not specific to the vehicle but yet the manager told us they had to have $2000 down plus her car as trade in, because the Rogue was a $20,000 vehicle.

Express Credit Auto warranty department

I have a cadilliac cts 2013 i purchased from express. I took my car in on wednesday September 15, 2021 because the water pump was leaking they replaced it and i picked my car up and had to pay 100 dollars. On thursday morning i started my car and turned on the air it was blowing hot air which my car didnt do that prior to me dropping it off my air was always very very cold. Then it ran hot . I took my back to them on monday September 20th and i was told it was the fan i asked did they not check the car out before letting me pick it up that could have messed up the motor she said it was checked out before i picked it up . Then was told have to pay another 100 dollars i asked why she said its a 100 per item. Thats a shame because the car never ran hot and my air was blowing cold before they ever messed with the car. so thats 200 in less than a week that i have had to spend. The customer service is horrible there as well and i wont take my car back there again. I work for the federal government and i never been treated like that before . People just donthave money sitting around like that anymore the fan should have been fixed when he took it off because you have to thake the fan off to get to the waterpump she he probably messed with the relay so it wouldnt work.

Express Credit Auto Customer service

I called today to see if I could make my payment on the 8/14/2021 and the lady that I got on the phone was ruder then F%$#. I told her I had some unexpected bills come in and that I wouldn't be able to pay till Saturday and she was like this is a bill to and it needs to be paid cant do anything about it. I have had this car for 6 months now and it has been the worst experience ever CarMart is a whole lot better then this place. Oh they are very attentive when you first come in but as soon as you sing those papers they drop you like a hot plate and treat you like your a virus. I found out my car has been in two accidents which was never disclosed. Also when they had to fix my back door because it didn't open I had to find my own way around for a week while they had my car sitting until they could even look at it. Like why cant you call me and say hey bring the car in now your up next instead of leaving people with out any other way to get around. I cant even get on the the website to make a payment it always says your session has expired why do you have a website that when your customers cant even use it and when I tried to let them know well no one cares that's what you get a bunch of people who don't want to work or do there jobs and pass the responsibility to someone else. Also no one answers email either. With all these complaints from so many people I think I will be contacting a lawyer to see about a class action lawsuit on this company how this business runs is beyond me.

Express Credit Auto dodge caliber

I purchased the car less than 2 years ago constantly having problems with it have had it to the warranty department three times the second time they told me the transmission went out they replaced it I got it back it immediately started having problems again I took off work again went up there to the warranty department sat for five and a half hours they never touched my car once then they said they wouldn't give me a riddle and are saying that the warranty is out on my vehicle I asked about the warranty on the new transmission they won't provide any proof on paper about the new warranty on the transmission I've contacted a lawyer I would like to be contacted by somebody that can handle the situation better than the manager at the warranty department what number is [protected]

Express Credit Auto account management / customer care

Had an emergency 5 days before payment was due, notify account management about the situation 5 days before the payment was due. Look to talk to the financial account manager for a deferment this month. Called 3 three times before the payment was due never spoke to manager. Called a day after the payment was due, I was told the manager will not speak to me and not provide a deferment. Filed a complaint with customer care, called the number they provided to me the next day, asked them "I don't understand what is going on." I was told "I don't need to understand what was going on". The next day the car was gone. Think Twice!

Express Credit Auto account management/ customer care

I had a bank restriction on the 13th of March, which was 5 days before my payment was due with express credit auto. On the 13th of March I called express credit auto looking to speak with DJ the Financial Account Manager, looking to get a full deferment on payment. I was told he is not available and he will get back me at his earliest convenience. That week I called 3 times looking to speak with DJ, I received the same response and never got the call from DJ. Since my payment for March was due on the 18th which lands on a Sunday, I called express credit auto a day after my payment was due and from there I was told, DJ will not be taking my calls and I will not receive a deferment. I filed a complaint with their customer care department, I was told by email that I can contact them the next day. The next day I called the number that I was provided, hoping to get a resolution and that was not the case. The lady was rude on the phone, and tried to send me back to account management, I said to her I was told to call this number and you are sending back to account management I don't understand what is going on, her response was "You do not need to know what is going on." The next morning my car was gone.

Express Credit Auto Horrible dealership

I went to express credit auto in 2013 needing a car (I was 18) I choose them because I saw the commercials & they seemed good. They sold me a 2008 Ford Focus with 110, 000 MILES ON IT for 13, 000. extremely overpriced but I didn't know. my payments were about 500 a month, causing me a huge financial hardship. the car was maybe worth 5k. The salesmen said he'd go outside to turn the car on for me so it 'd be ready when I came out.. I bought it sadly. 2 days later after purchasing the car I turned the key & it wouldn't start. I didn't think too much of it until it wouldn't start until cranking it 5x's. Until it wouldn't start at ALL. The two years of ownership I paid hundreds of dollars to fix it... the problem never went away. I refinanced to make payments easier. I finally had to sell it because it wasn't reliable.. I still owe 5grand on the piece of crap because trade in value was 3500. If you're desperate don't ever go here. it's not worth it. because once you're in a better place it'll haunt you that you got screwed by a salesmen. & I just want to point out I was always on time with payments.. They just sold me a crappy car. Stay away!
