Experian CIC ripping me off!
Complaint Rating:
Company information: Experian CIC Triple Advantage Washington United States
I see I am not alone. Noticed an unusual $12.95 deduction in my checking account. I called the number listed in the charge line item for CIC triple advantage. As with everyone, I opted to use the "free" service once nearly two years ago and told them to close the account as my company offered a similar service. Unknown to me, they set me up as a "member", and started to debit my account. I am a busy man, without a lot of time to scrutinize small transactions, and guess it's my fault that I didn't notice the debits earlier. Anyway, I called to see what was happening. Spoke to John# 4281, then finally a supervisor Sahah# 4239. Both gave me the run around, and Sarah was rather rude - telling em I never canceled my account..and was being provided these services so they could not provide me a refund. How can I benefit from services I am not aware I have? I threatened to file a formal BBB complaint. They finally agreed to refund me a portion roughly 8 of 16 months of charges. I will pursue additional resources of getting the remaining money back. Beware... Companies like this know full well that once they have your credit card, they can bleed you slowly so you don't notice soon enough. Ron
