Experian Information Solutions unfair practices

The three credit bureas perform very unfair and even maybe discriminative practices. 1. What does they way you drive have to do with your credit . Your insurance rates should only be based on how you are as a driver. 2.What right do they have to lower my score because of inquires that people do without permission. 3. If you have credit card debt, you are punished if you or the Bank closes it because of inactivity, your punished. I am tired of these angencies deciding how long a negative can be put on my reports. 4. They do not help the consumer but seems to always help the creditor when a complaint is filed against that creditor. I am tired of unfair practices when it comes to good honest people's financial future. We need changes in these reporting angencies practices, because they are causing financial ruin in people.

Experian Information Solutions Charges without authorization

There was a moment during august that I asked for a credit history without any cost.

The problem was when I saw a charge in my credit card statements for $29.95 not only in August 4 but in September 4/2009 too.

Is there any agency or someone that can help not the companies but the costumer in cases like this?

I applied online for a "free" credit report through Experian. I was supposed to get the report online within seconds. I did not. I WAS charged with $39.95 on my credit card for a monthly service I did not order. Another online SCAM. Don't believe anything you see that is for free, it never is!

Experian Information Solutions - charging acct and now acct bounced due to the charge. no permission to charge acct.

I went online to check my bank acct and found that there are charges going to my acct of $14.95. I do not understand why. My husband nor I ever approved for the monies to come out. Now my acct bounced from this transaction. $61 overcharge fee. This is rediculous. They should not be allowed to take the monies and should have to pay the monies back that were...

Experian Information Solutions Experian Credit freeze

My wife and I are trying to get a debt consilidation loan from a local bank. They are willing to do it with my mother-in-law as a co-signer. She has agreed but, we have been playing games with Experian Credit. We have done everything they have asked to unlock the freeze. We have been doing this for the past month still no progress. Can anyone help or have any other insights?

You are suspose to get one free credit report free each year, but when you come up on this credit agency, they start charging your credit card $14.95 each month. This is the third month they have charged my credit card, and I want it refunded. My email address is trimmerbc@aol.com

Experian Information Solutions unauthorized charges

First the company placed $14.95 per month for 3 months under cic triple advantage and then another $14.95 per month for another 3 months under a different name, info.experiendirect.
I was out of the country and just discovered what had been happening. Stop, you crooks!

I looked at my bank statement and noticed a fee of $14.95 paid to CIC*CI for credit report which I DID NOT request. I want this credited back to my account. I would like to know how you required my bank information.

We canceled the cic triple advantage after we noticed the charges coming through. The site we explored mentioned getting your one free credit score that is alloted for every American. If we noticed the fine print apparently located somewhere on that website that we can no longer find we would have stayed clear. We finally contacted the company and the charges ceased for a small period of time. Now I am receiving another similar charge that we know for a fact did not authorize. I work for a major bank and see these scams quite often. The business has numerous DBA's underneath the umbrella (cic triple advantage), what happens is that when you agree to procede with that sites particular offer for free credit score, you are also agreeing to receive information from parenting companies associated either directly or indirectly giving the faint hint to receiving terms and disclosures from all of the said companies. It is a never ending scam, or at lease it seems. The answer is not what you want to hear. Banks can not stop electronic debits. They can stop certain amounts and certain merchants but once the amount is altered or another DBA tries charging the account it will go through and then you will be at the bank again trying to stop that charge. Stop payments usually run from $15 to $30 a pop. The only answer is that answer you did not want to hear (close the account). That is pretty much the only way the clear yourself from that scam completely, or hope you have made enough phone calls and stop payments to cut the ugly head off the parenting company.

Experian Information Solutions Report Number ID login process sounds like a scam to me

Upon previous request, through the Annual Credit Report.com website, I requested a copy of my Experian credit report. For privacy purposes, they said they would have to send me a separate Report Number in order to allow me to access my online credit report. I would have to not only enter my Report Number, but also my Zip Code, state, and my Social Security Number for access. I don't trust entering my SSN# for my credit report--sounds fishy. I wanted to get your opinion on whether or not I should use this Report Number tactic to obtain my credit report, or should I avoid this at all costs (or could AnnualCreditReport.com be another one of those scams too).

Experian Information Solutions 3 bureau report incomplete

I believe the 3 bureau credit report on freecreditreport.com is a rip-off. Here is what I experienced:
I paid the additional $24.95 to view all three bureau reports on "freecreditreport.com". Everything on the reports looked ok, but when I viewed my scores, the Transunion score was off significantly. After several fruitless calls with Transunion and having to order a separate actual Transunion report, I found that there was a reported delinquent payment on record with them dating back to 2005, which was not shown on the "3 bureau report" from "freecreditreport.com". During the course of this I discovered that the so-called "3 bureau report" only provides information dating back 24 months for the other two bureaus, thereby making it incomplete and in many ways useless. When I called freecreditreport.com to ask for my money back given that they did not provide the advertised service (i.e. a FULL Transunion Credit Report) I was told this was not possible and that they provided the service by passing on all the information they received from Transunion.
I am not sure whether the issue here is Transunion sending incomplete information to them or that they are not displaying the full set of data due to some internal issue, but in any case, I think it is unacceptable that they try to lay the blame on others while wanting to hold on to the fees they charged for an incomplete service. Unacceptable and a Rip-Off!

Experian Information Solutions Credit Terrorism

601 Experian Pkwy
Allen, TX [protected]
[protected]

Apparently, I want to find a lawyer who specializes in dealing with or knows the
law about Credit Terrorism. I submit my complaint that Experian has commited
an act of Credit Terrorism! The Credit Terrorism is mainly the factual based
evidence that the Experian Company refuses to provide live telephone support,
and totally automated machines that make deliberate errors to people's credit
report! People's lives are TERRORIZED by Experian and other Reporting Agencies
like them, who do not provide adequate security to the Credit Report in question. I feel terrorized by Experian and the constant complaining and no
live representative who can assist the issues, must be sued! I ask anyone who
is a lawyer or knows of a lawyer to file charges of Credit Terrorism, and file
lawsuits against Experian! Before it is too late! Is there a way to go to Allen, TX
and protest this, get the media involved!? Let put this on CNN or Fox News!
I propose that Experian does not care about people's lives or well being, but is
just collecting information to terrorize the people they claim they protect! I
urge all credit conscience people to please consult an attorney and file papers
on Credit Terrorism charges against Experian!

I like to find other folks who feel the same way, to file a mutli-district lawsuit. But, that's OK. All of this 'freedom' is a scam anyways. Nice to be rich to have my own legal team big and bad @$$ enough to scare Experian into submission. But I digress, that won't happen. This is the United Corporation States of America! :) We little people are slaves!

I'm not scared of attorneys, I just want to find an attorney NOT SCARED of Experian, and feels, I have a case against them, because despite their lame excuse and bad treatment of me, what attorney in his/her right mind, would want to take on Experian when they failed to do their job, in verifying the S.S.N. and then a $235, 000.00 Federal Tax Lien shows on MY credit report when another Michael D. Lucas of Brazoria county don't have to pay a dime!? When the I.R.S. / Internal Revenue Service tried to talk to Experian even the IRS field agent in Austin is treated like dirt, so the agent told me. I just feel if someone is going through the same thing as I am, to let me know how they handled the issue, if they found an attorney? The issue kept getting worse and worse, till I had to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's department, and the Sheriff's Dept told me, Experian said it was "Credit Confusion" if there are those suffering bad credit scores and or junk on their report, could be denied a loan for a house, newer vehicles, ability to refinance on existing loans and home mortgages, promotion on their existing job or trying to get a job! I just feel discriminated against, and targeted, since the issue apparently is not resolved. It looks like a lot of lawyers are scared of Experian since I can't seem to find an attorney, and don't know where to start or who to contact? Then I PRAY TO The G-d of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, everyone at Experian goes through exactly what I go through! May those who draw a check at Experian who don't care about me, and those they serve go through $233, 000.00 Federal Tax Liens, and dispute errors on their credit report, and be "Credit Confused" like I am!

Well, someone at Experian screwed up again! The 'other' M. Lucas in Angleton, TX in Brazoria county listed an address that IS NOT on my credit report. Protect My ID sucks,
but, I think I'll switch to LifeLock! But It appears, Experian is a bunch of losers who can't
even verify with the social security number, and did what they did in the past, screwed up putting another M. Lucas's debt, and issues on MY name only. It appears, Experian is so behind the times, they can't check, verify and even contact me, by phone that this address came up! It SHOULD NOT HAVE Happened? Is Experian so reluctant to verify? I wonder if I screwed with everyone's credit report at Experian how mad they would be! But that's OK, Screw the poor person!

Dear simmonsa,

Thank you for the comment! It appears, Experian, and other credit reporting groups, are
running amok without accountability, or concern for the voters identity safety. There is
another Michael D. Lucas in Brazoria county, who is married and has incurred debt which
wound up on my credit report. After the new sheriff of Hamilton county looked into the issue of "credit confusion" nothing more was done, and some of the deputies empathized
with me, that even they are victims of this "credit confusion". That's really sad, when law
enforcement even the deputy sheriff's and local police, are victims of this unaccountable,
and also very amokish operation that we as tax payers, and voters have little to no say
unless we can get some lawyers to file class action lawsuits against these abusive, and
unaccountable agencies that destroy the American Dream as we know it! But since I'm
37, and due to F.U.B.A.R. after F.U.B.A.R. on my credit report, I am glad I have no wife
or children. It appears, our nation does not want the common person to be happy, but be
slaves to the machine. I feel President Obama, the Democratic Party, and the G.O.P. do
not care about voters only at election time. If these credit agencies that rate our own
credit worthiness is unaccountable of its own actions, then, things look very bleak to me
and I fail to see any positive in this situation. I don't have big name lawyers, or big name
friends to call upon to 'fix' this issue. But if 2012, or the Transformers have any say, if
it arrives, and mysterious robots from Cybertron come to bring their war here, then I'd
say screw it, looks like my future looks grim, I truly don't understand who to turn to, who
love, who will be the mother of my children, and of course who will take care of them, and
their credit score. Looks like my livelihood, my hopes of a nice house, and improvement
in social class is but a FART in the wind... since I truly don't understand all these glass
roof's and idiots we trust our credit lives with... I truly wish, I understand how to fight
back without getting in serious trouble, and make my point across to those who are
proving themselves to be total ###s who don't care about other people but themselves.
And all this time, I thought I had attention deficit hyperactive disorder! LOL I thought I
was a narcissistic idiot! Perhaps I should kiss someone's butt and work for Experian, or
Trans Union, or Equifax! LOL *SIGH* I really love to find a mother for my children, and
start a family, and work my way up the ladder, but I find it beyond my grasp, I'll never
own a home, or land, or do anything but be a loner, who winds up meeting married
women, hoping the husband will let me take her out to dinner.. lol nah... Hey if she sends
her husband.. "uhm.. sir... my wife told me to tell you she likes you alot, and want you
to be with us for dinner at any place you want... the only chance, come with us to a key
party, swing party or threesome!" LOL like that will ever happen! Oh well...

Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohenu Melech Ha'Olam Dayan Ha'Emet! "Blessed Are You, L-rd
our G-d, The True Judge!"

Only Hashem can help me understand why I am going through this. Until then, it looks
as though, I'll be a lonely, poor guy with a couple of cats to spoil. :)

Who are You Information guy? Are you aware, that Experian did indeed, confused my name to another
guy with the same name? I got slapped with a 232, 313 Federal Tax Lien, and after I called the IRS they
showed I didn't have the Lien, when I called Brazoria county, they routed me to the IRS.. Turns out that
Experian REFUSES and DOES NOT Verify Social Security Number for Information and confirmation of
debts that apply to each account ect. So if you have a debt, and someone with the same name as yours
runs up a far worse situation, and Experian throws that in your account and not the other person, then
that is negligent action. Experian has "CONFUSED" and "TERRORIZED" my credit score with another
person of the same name. Without the Social Security Number verification, I keep getting calls and bad
score ratings on my credit report, while another person gets to have it all. I don't have a wife, or a house
of my own. I'm 37 years old, living with my aging elderly parents. I realize, after all the hell I been
through, I lost faith in Barack Obama, Democrats, Republicans, and the Federal Government. Our own
government has sold the tax payers a ton of crap trash, the Republicans screwed up our nation, the way
things are going, we might as well wait for 2012 to watch a huge chunk of asteroid in the sky and blow
our existence as we know it to smitherenes! I doubt seriously, I'll get my credit score back up to snuff,
and with a repossession on my credit score, my life, my livelihood my ability own a home, and nice
furniture is gone, I'm better off dead, I'm depressed and stressed out things are going worse and worse,
while our government is ruled by the British, and the super rich who don't care! It's hopeless, I don't
see any way out... :( Is there a God to hear from the poor person?

I wish I had read these complaints before I ordered a report from these guys! Granted I didn't read the small print so I deserved THE 31.95 fee Plus $1.00 that is highlighted, but LIVE rep told me that the new charge of 17.95 wouldn't be removed even though this charge just hit my bank account. All of these charges since Feb. 8 2013. I ask you, is this GOOD or LAWFUL BUSINESS? I too think we should band together and sue, but since we are the little guy, complain to our elected officials, this is small enough issue they could probably get something done. And I'm going to send e-mail to our Tea Party chain to get it out there. And to you information guy, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest themselves thoughout your body!

Wait until Experian changes your name on your credit file because they have been researching the court records, hospital records, passport records and lawyer depositions filed in the courthouse and refuse to give your credit file to you...yet a collection agency can get your file..unauthorized from TransUnion, LLC when you have no account in collection anywhere in the world.

Creditors wer ewarned about this name change, using my middle name instead of my middle initial as shown on all creditors records and credit cards. Now, Experian wants me to verify and identify myself again...did so in 2007...someone is scamming us and someone iselling all of our valid information with a fraud alert as well as a security freze...selective and/or incompetence...who will ever know the answer.

Glad that I am over the age of 70 and they can't terrorize me much longer on this earth.

For one, the Experian division your upset with isn't in Allen, Tx.

Number 2, what is the problem and why can't the automated system fix it thru their dispute process. They don't have live support because people become beligerant and nothing would get solved anyway. The correspondence must be in writing to be legal.

Explain the problem and maybe I can point your in the right direction.

Read the Fair Credit Reporting Act. If they violated any parts of that then sue them. You can do this in Small Claims court..NO LAWYERS NEEDED.

Experian Information Solutions Terrible experience

I have not used credit of any kind in years. In April I wanted to purchase a pre owned Nissan and assumed I had nothing but good reports on my credit. I learned that I have good reports, but also had reports that did not belong to me such as owing $28, 000 for a vehicle, credit card accounts I never opened, married to people I don't know and living in towns I don't know. I was able to purchase a vehicle but the interest rate is a killer. Of course, one cannot speak to an individual at the credit bureaus; you have to write and I am still wanting for a response. This will take forever, but in the here and now my credit score is suffering. These agencies do not even try to keep things straight in your file. How does this happen? All three need to be sued, maybe then they would provide better service. They have too much power and no consequences for errors.

I was told I could get my credit report for free. Then I was asked
for my credit card number for identification purposes. Then
there was about a thousand lines of terms & conditions from
sponsors & all that legal jargon which I don't even begin to
understand. I skipped thru all that stuff, (why go into all that
when my report is free, right?). So. I continued to submit
information because how could it matter if my report was going
to be free. I trusted them, (I can't remember the names of all
the scammers & didn't write everything down, why?, it's going
to be FREE!. ). Then I got to the part where it said $24.00 would
be taken out imediatly for some reason or other when I clicked on
the submit sign. Well, I didn't click on it & exited the site. I
thought it was all over & everything would be null & void.
Now I see that $14.95 has been charged to my credit card. I know
I'm not the smartest person with understanding things, but this
is clearly an offer which takes advantage of people like me. They
bait you with all this FREE crap & then take your money.
I understand they may have me legally, but far as I'm concerned, they're nothing but sneak thieves. Taking advantage
of people in this manner should warrent a jail sentence. They're
a very low form of people.
I'm hopeing there's something you can do about my situation &
put a stop to this for the sake of other not so educated people also.
With Respect,
David Jensen

I tried for my annual free credit report and it gave me a form to fil out and mail into the company. The two other credit bureuas gave me access. I also tried going directly to website as I was denie credit recently and they said to call a number. I called the number and tried to order on the phone it said I couldn't and would have to mail in information to them. Is this Experians way of not honoring the law and pressuring you into buying their products?

I decided to clean up my credit or lack of since I was now a senior citizen living with my daughter and wanted to not owe anyone anything, as required by my religious beliefs. I wanted to get a list of old bills and clear up any discrepancies. I started with annualcreditreport.com which is free. I knew not to get all 3 at once. I would start with Experian and after that company, move to another and gradually make sure my credit report was good. I do not worry about my low score. I have always paid cash for purchases.

I received my report back aafter a lot of correspondence because a mortgage bill was on it that wasn't mine. They would give me no information about it but after threats of contacting the Federal Trade Commission, I received my report. I accepted the medical bills and carefully wrote reasons why I disputed the charged off Verizon bill ( closed and owed nothing, sent modem back), and other bills, Cox Cable paid a year later to make sure I had nothing else added. They refused to accept my explanations and reopened the charged off bills. And said thank you for updating our information. They did not have my new address before. I have not ben able to get any more response from them. The same happened from Experian, only they said I had a car loan in my name, too. I disputed that as I do not even have a license anywhere, and my explanations were ignored. Again, thank you for updating our information. There were 5 ladies with my name in the area I moved from.

On November 21, 2017, I submitted a letter to experian letting them know that the entry on my credit report on page 6, with the Company Name of Arrow Financial Service and the entry on page 17, with the name JC Penny were one in the same bill. JC Penny turn this bill over to Arrow Financial Service and I paid the bill. Since that time I have applied for another JC Penny card and that is still active. The old JC Penny bill is over seven years old. It should have been removed. I am requesting that Arrow Financial Service and the old JC Penny account be removed at this time. According to Triple advantage my letter was sherreded and it was necessary to dispute it. I am not disputing that it occurred, I just want the information deleted if it is outdated. I want to request a new copy of my credit report for review.

Thanking you in advance,

I have been contacting Experian to cancell my membership at their customer service web site for 4 months and today I discovered that they are still taking out of my credit card account $14.95 a month. I even told them I was going to lodge a complait or two but that does not seem to make a difference. I only become a member last year when we were buying a house. I had to do that in order to get my credit cleared after they had accepted information from someone else's accout. I would like them to cancel my account and give me back some of my money.

We haven't resolve this yet as we just found it this evening, but we did file a report with the FTC (we searched for FTC and filed a report online in about 15 minutes, trying to help put a stop to this!) and will contact our bank in the morning. We had at least 3 charges (monthly)of $14.95 each that are fraudulent from EXPERIAN *FR 18500 Von Karman Avenue877-3002507 CAUS. We did not receive or request any services.

The Experian contract states in part "Your order summary, Credit Report, FICO Score, Credit overview, Credit alerts, Score tracker, Toll free support, Creditlock" ORDER TOTAL $ 1.00
This sounds like the contract, I think any charges above $ 1.00 are illegal and must be returned.

Thieves...In November 2015 I signed up for the free trial membership and it is now march 2017, I never agreed to pay the monthly charges, even when they went up. They charged me for 16 months oo my child's savings account which I don't ever check or use since his birth, and now I find the have been unlawfully talking out money each week. customer service is a joke, loop holes, sent me to a web address that is just as much of a joke if you can find it. I recommend you do not even think of using this company and if you have to you must keep your eye out for random charges for services you did not ask for.

I went to freecreditreport.com expecting a credit report for leasing an apt. Before I even finished, I had to enter personal information. Once the credit card numbers were pulled up, I exited. The lovely Experian.com, a supposedly trusted name in credit reporting, has forwarded my credit card numbers to CIC*Triple Advantage, which has enrolled me in their great protection program. None of this was presented to me, or emailed to me.

I have yet to receive one email from this service that I am paying for. Nothing. I had not swiped my card, entered my card information, or authorized the charge. Please advise.

I totally agree that Experian is doing illegal business practice. I was charged unknowingly for a membership. They changed $14.95 for 2 months plus $99 annual Safeguard. I wasn't aware of neither of them. When I found out and called 1st customer service person said, "Our system is down. Could you call us back in 1 or 2 hours?" So, I called back. The 2nd customer service person said, "Our system is under maintenance. Could you call us back 1 or 2 hours? Or if not, maybe tomorrow." I called back the next day. The same thing. Then the following day, the same thing. I got the clue. All these customer service people are told to lie so that I can't close my account. So, after many attempts I said to the last customer service person, "Why is this maintenance taking for many days? Seems like each time I say I want to close my account you guys say you can't pull up my account. Which is not true. Let me talk to your boss." When I talked to the bass he had my account open on his computer. It was not under the maintenance.

Company telling workers to lie and perform unethical practice is illegal not just to the customers. Illegal Period ! And the top of that I lost $129 for nothing. My friend said that I should get it back. Maybe I should try.

Experian Information Solutions Who is watch dog here?

There are thousands upon thousands of complaints against Experian, yet nothing is happening. My husband who is a decorated military officer with 20 years in the A.F. can't get THEIR mistake fixed. They want us to pay them $15 to get one of their credit reports to dispute their mistake. They have a different person on our credit report. The person lives in Colorado, is 20 years younger than my husband and has a different SS#. I got this information from two other agencys. They informed me that I have to contact Experian, but that is IMPOSSIBLE..They wont accept other credit reports to dispute issues. How is this legal? Where are our government agencys that are supposed to protect the public from fraud? If this isn't fraud I don't know what it. Will this be the next Madoff scam?

Experian Information Solutions Access to live help

Experian Credit Bureau has an automated phone system that seems impossible to use effectively--there is no way to reach a live operator to describe a problem related to incorrect information on a credit report.

Repeated calls to the same number, with different code selections, still never lead to a live person. The online access is no more helpful--everything seems contrived to provide automated assistance only. If you have a question that doesn't fit into the automated menu, then you're out of luck.

Leaving detailed personal information via the automated system still may result in a failure of the system to properly identify the caller. There is no automatic transfer to a live operator to handle the situation.

Experian needs to address these issues or go out of business completely. I hope the Federal Trade Commission and other regulatory bodies are aware of Experian's incompetence. In fact, I'm going to make certain they are aware.

I almost hope I get the chance to sue Experian for failure to correct the erroneous information on my credit report. I suspect that the threat of legal action is the only thing that will get a live person on the phone.

Thank you.

Experian has got to be the WORST run business in America! I have been trying to resolve a disputer for two months. I have followed their instructions to email my dipsutes 3 times now with no response. I have called the 800 number a dozen times to speak with a live person but no luck. I get the recording "no operator is available now." It seems they don't actually have live people to assist with correcting inaccurate information. In the meantime their information affects my entire life! How can a company with so much power not be required to adquatley staff their departments to be able to service their customers?

Wow, shocking how many of you all have had the same experience as I. I cannot believe they can stay in business!

I was sent an email from Experian stating that I had requested a credit report & they were simply verifying the request. I had NOT made that request & was concerned as to who had. After calling several #'s I finally was able to speak to a human being. I spoke to a supervisor, Nicole employee#25712, she stated there was nothing she could do and told me I could only have an automated # & that noone else in the company could help me! This is after another supervisor by the name of 'Robert' stated to my initial contact that he 'refused to talk to me'. I had been very professional and had asked to speak to a supervisor because I didn't want to get stuck in an automated loop again and wanted an individual who could help me figure this out. In today's age of indentity theft I am shocked that that was the extent of customer service! Appalling

I have had excellent credit all my adult life. We own our home outright, have ample savings, still have a decent income, credit cards; revolving and gas, respected in our community, but ever since EXPERIAN came into my life with ITS FREE CREDIT REPORTS I have been refused credit twice. This is because I declined subscribing to THEIR service? I did so because I have credit and fraud protection elsewhere.

This is the second time (at least) that I have had problems with them. None of my making

The only reason I asked for the report was to determine how on earth my credit could be declined by anyone.

Experian is a three company consortium, so designed so that all three can avoid damages for their mistakes. Two (EQUIFAX and TRANSUNION) of those companies investigated our credit and found the amount was adequate and all merchants reported "As Agreed" expieriance. When asked for a report, EXPERIAN ignored the two good reports and reported that we had insufficient credit experience. EXPERIAN HAD NO INFO ON ME BECAUSE THEY HAD OBVIOUSLY MADE NO INQUIRIES.

I told them in a letter. It is impossible to reach them by phone

"1. You did not use due diligence in gathering information on my credit experience.

2. You were negligent in not reviewing and reporting the other two credit companies results.

a. Equifax

b. TransUnion.

Equifax and TransUnion show MORE THAN SATISAFACTORY CREDIT EXPERIENCE both in QUALTY and QUANTITY.

Through your negligence, you, Experian, have been recommending that we be refused credit in BAD FAITH which has caused us financial distress, embarrassment in the business community, and pain and suffering purely as a result of your sloppy, negligent business practices."

Anyone who accepts their FREE TRIAL will only cause themselves endless undeserved grief

I tried to call Experian today and got the infamous automated machine. Couldn't get a person and got sick of waiting and listening to all their 'options'. Tried to get my Free credit reports and got all but Experian. Was told online that it was unable to do it over the internet, that maybe I had a Security Freeze on my account and I needed to send them a copy of my SS card and drivers license, showing current address. OR I could call the 800# for assistance...Well, that didn't get me anywhere. I've been trying to clear up my credit, doing the right thing and my credit is worse now than it was before! I got high interest loans for a car only to find out later that they only report to 2 of the bureaus. Got high interest financing for furniture (its the only credit I could get because of credit scores) only to find out that they are only reporting to Experian! What's the point? Who regulates this stuff?! If your credit score determines whether or not you can buy a house, or pay cheaper car insurance, then it should be mandatory that EVERY place has to report!

Experian is run and mismanaged by a bunch of incompetents. My credit line was frozen on a credit card because of erroneous information obtained and not verified by Experian. They should be held accountable for this action. I can't understand why Congress or a regulatory agency has'nt taken action against the credit reporting industry. I have my credit report number from my credit report and can get only to the first page on disputes-then get bounced to make a phone call where no live voice exists. I followed their directions only to be advised (mechanically) that assistance is not available.. I will follow up via registered letter and the dispute form with a copy to my Congressman. Election season is not to far away! TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION SUIT!

Today I asked for a free credit report from Experian; in order to obtain the "free" report I signed up for a seven day trial of the "Triple Advantage" product. After trial expires I will be charged $24.95. The site said 24 hr toll free support.
I have tried this same day to cancel this product. The automated call service on the toll free number requires a credit report number which is not on my report. The "contact us" button is of no use; I can only find the toll free number. It appears that they have hidden the cancel process or there is none available. This is a scam and not something I expected to encounter on a site from this company.
I also do not know exactly what charges are involved in this so-called product. Tomorrow I am changing my debit card in hope of preventing these charges. I went to annualcreditreport.com and clicked on the Experian icon. A web site that was given to me by an attorney as a source of a free report should NOT contain a link to a site that follows this type of business practice: I would imagine at the least they are paid "per click" if not also a fee from money made from this link. I have seen others online that have had the same problem; they also can not find a way to contact Experian customer support without a report number.

I, too, am seeking legal help to go after Experian. All 3 credit bureaus had listed me as "deceased" due to screwup by a creditor in which I cancelled an account. Creditor notified all 3 credit bureaus, acknowledging its error, INCLUDING EXPERIAN. Two of the credit bureaus corrected the error, and my lender was able to get credit scores from them. EXPERIAN, however, ignored the notification, so I disputed my credit report, demanding that "desceased" be removed from creditor information on my credit report. 30 days later, Experian reissued my account information for the errant creditor in response to my dispute...said account information had been "updated." Not a g_ddamn thing had changed! Was still shown as "deceased!"

Sent a letter to Experian by Fed Ex, demanding that correction be made. Fed Ex was signed for, but ignored...time for an attorney.

Experian Information Solutions False reporting

I have paid $14.95 per month for more than a year to access my Credit report when I want it. I now want to re-mortgage our house, I have a good interest rate available to me but you have a false judgement showing on my report. I have tried and tried and tried to dispute this error but your system it always down. I got so frustrated I cancelled my account with Experian and took one out with Equifax since you can access 3 reports with them at the same time for the same amount of money.
I looked on the other two reports and they do not show this judgement, it's only on Experian and wouldn't you know it, to be able to dispute it you have to pay Experian again for a new report. I guess you pay for the report and then find the dispute system in down again.
I'm tearing what little hair I have left out trying to resolve this issue. These credit companies seem to hold so much power over us. I have never had a bad debt in my entire life but I can't say the same for our children, but since they are grown why does their bad credit seem to always end up on my file?
I would never again pay monthly to gain access to these reports, it's a waste of time and money.

Spirit Airlines has dropped their crdit card with Barclaybank and has switch to Bank of America. We are required to switch. We have a very large bank account, at least 5 revolving credit cards that are paid off immediately, a credit score of 802 and no late bills ever and we are in our 60s and either still working or collecting a pension. However BOA turned us down citing not enough revolving credit cards or credit references. They used Experian whose system has been down for a week that I know of when I have tried to get their free credit report. The other 2 aences have excellent reports on us. I agree with the above writer that credit agencies shouldn't have so much control and make errors and then not be available.

I have had an American Express Credit Card tied to Costco for the past year, I have always paid the balance off every month $800.00, $1, 400.00, or $2, 000.00, it didn't make any difference it was paid. I went to get gas on 03/11/09 it was turned down, and then the same thing happened on 03/14/09.

I was a little irritated so I called AMX, they stated that after reviewing my account and going over the report from Experian they decided to cancel my account. According to the Experian report I have had several inquiries for new credit and I am paying below my balance level.

I have not applied for any new credit in the past six month and I pay way over my "minimum" payment due. How do these credit reporting companies get away with this kind of terrorism. This report that Experian has divulged will most likely dampen chances for any future employment.

Costco and AMX push for the credit cards, the card is paid off every month, then they cancel the credit. Does not add up. What is going on that this one company can destroy peoples credit?

Experian Information Solutions Terrible experience

I would like for everyone to know that when you inquire about your credit report and find something that does not belong and dispute it, it does not mean that it will be handled in a professional manner by Experian credit reporting agency. My husband and I reviewed our credit scores and found items that needed to be removed and when we disputed the information on our credit report, our credit rating for this agency went down 50 points over a 6 month period of time.

Not only did our score go down, but they sent us letters stating that our dispute is frivolous and will not be investigated again. I thought we as consumers and they as customer service providers are allowed fairness and not penalized for bringing this matter to their attention. If anyone has been through anything of this sort or close to it, please respond and offer me some advice in the matter.

Experian Information Solutions Fraudulent reporting practice

All of the credit bureaus have fraudulently reported delinquent accounts for apartment rental (Seville West Apt El Paso, TX), cell phone accounts (Qwest and AT&T) and cable television account (Time Warner Cable) under my social security number. Also, the bureaus have reported my address as those fraudulently list in the various delinquent accounts; where as, I have lived in the same place since 2001.

These negative reports are generated from fraudulent accounts in my name and in turn, cost me in higher interest rates for purchases of real estate and automobiles. Even though, I can factually prove my residence and provide evidence clearly supporting my non-involvement in procuring theses accounts, I continually receive bad credit reports.

At this time, I believe reporting by companies; collection agencies and credit bureaus create an endless cycle...one blaming the other for the fraudulent reports. Not one business involved in this verifies identification.

I have completed fraud alerts, filed police reports and use LifeLock and still negative use of my personal information continues.

Experian Information Solutions No phone access to customer service

Company's dedicated customer service numbers are completely automated. There is no way to speak to a representative. Numbers are busy with no option to leave a call back number. On line dispute reuires a two-digit ID number which appears nowhere. They were previously sued for failing to provide reasonable access as required by the FCRA, but it appears they've done nothing to change that.
I disputed a state tax lien by mail with enclosing a date stamped document from the court stating that the lien was canceled/satisfied. (I offered to also send documentation that the tax was never owed, if needed.) I received a letter back stating simply that they investigated and the unsatisfied lien "remains." I have tried the entire day to find any number for any office at Experian where a live person will answer. That includes even Investor Relations, Press/media number...everything. You cannot get them and, as noted, trying to dispute or check the status of a dispute requires a two digit "ID" which appears nowhere on the report.

Do you know that if you apply to Experian they will tell you about how good your report is for a further sum of money, as my sum was in good towards the top end I asked their telephone contact about a loan, so she said to me certainly sir, so she then told me she would pass me through to one of her officers, so he then asked me how much would you like and what is it for, so I told him that it was to do with my work ahead in the coming season and that my report stated I was in the good with a 902 rating he then sais that's excellent, and I will pass you through to our other department where you will have to pay a loan set-up fee of £47+ and then within three days yoiu will have the money. I went through as he had put me through and the chap asked what purpose is the loan for and I stated business and he said alright give me your card number and I will go ahead with the loan, whilst on the phone a second or two later a message came through and he then said it is all arranged now sir. IU went through to my computer at hand two minutes after the telephone call and put in the texted number of reference, where upon first site it explained that I was unsuitable for a loan and gave no further information. After a day and several hours on premium rates I have been passed from one to another starting with MyWHLoan.co.uk, to another and then another at the end of they explained it was not their company that had agreed to the £47+ deduction and ended up being lastly sent to Hull where again I decided it was not worth the chase. I spoke to Experian a number of times to tell them I had been passed from them to another department and it was all done blind by them - they first sent one text then another and on one text will look within 28 days, another will look in one day and another after will look in two days - they are using cowboy firms that know what you have applied for and are aware they are ripping you off - do not take a loan arranged through Experian or My WHLoan, or the other hundred the Stockport company are under on the net - do not go through Microsoft as they do not know a company called my WHLoan or whatever - but yes have been told that as it was for business and not new house furniture, or an holiday, I have been refused the expansion loan they said at source that I would get. They are acting like criminals and do beware!.

I have been trying to dispute an item on my credit report. I had little difficulty with the other reporting agencies, but Experian is horrible. They require that you obtain a credit report, which I did, and dispute items on-line. However, it seems that once you print it, you can't get back to the display where you are supposed to be able to select the item(s) to be disputed. The summary of the report stated that all that was needed was the report ID. However, that is not accurate because you need a log-in to get back to the information. I attempted calling them to get a mailing address, however there is NO OPTION for a credit report on their menu. Also, I was not able to talk to a live person. I went back to their website to email them and have received to emails from another company, CreditExpert.com. One suggested filing the dispute on line which did not answer my question. The other provided a telephone number for Credit Expert Customer Service. I was on hold several minutes, and when I finally talked to a live person, I was given a phone number for Experian --- the same number I called before -- and assured that there was a dispute option. I called again -- NO Option. I really feel that they are trying to get money from me before they will allow me to file a dispute -- which is against the law. I am totally disgusted with Experian and would never pay for their services or recommend them to anyone. They do not provide equal access -- not everyone has a computer!

I just want to let the world know that Experience credit Burea is the most corrubted Public Reporting Agency in the world. They have the most illiterate staff in the world. I have been trying to correct simple human error they created on my credit Burea file for 2 years.

Experian Information Solutions Misleading and unauthorized charges!

Due to Federal requirements Credit reporting agencies (who actually work for Credit Card Companies) were required to allow one free credit report. I checked my credit through http://annualcreditreport.com. TransUnion and Equifax were straightforward but Experian was complicated (and I believe intentionally confusing) and two weeks later I see a charge from them for $14.95 for a monthly 'service'. The entry looked like this:

POS DEBIT CIC*CE CREDIT REPORT [protected] CA Link to more information in a new browser window. $14.95.

I had no intent to sign up and am fairly savvy with Internet apps (I am an IT analyst for a living). This is obviously Experian's way to scam people out of money. I called to cancel: they tried to upsell me. I refused and am noting the time and date.

Reading your compliant gives makes me happy to know I am not the only one with the problem and chills for what is to come. I can't figure out how to call this company to cancel. No where in their website do they tell you where to call them for cancellation.

Experian Information Solutions Unauthorized bank withdrawals!

A charge keeps showing up on my credit card statement. CIC*Triple Advantage , [protected] , CA - and I know it's only $12.95, but I have called the company to explain to them that I have no idea what the charges are for and that I want it canceled immediately. Customer Service was not helpful, they even tried to say they could not cancel it. I have called a couple of times to request a refund to my credit card account and to cancel the whatever the "subscription" might be and they would not even offer that option to me until I threatened disputing the charges with my credit card company. Once I threatened that, they agreed to refund my account and stop the future charges.

A new month is here and a new bill has arrived - WITH the same charge appearing just as the previous months. I have filed the dispute with my credit card company, but I am definitely going to post a complaint against this company on every website I can find. I shouldn't have to waste my time on this, but I feel after the hundreds of complaints I've already found online regarding this company, no one else is doing anything to prevent this from happening to unsuspecting consumers! At what point will a company like this be held accountable for such actions?

Beware!

I am seeing the same charge appear on my bank account. I tried the same approach, called my bank and they could not tell me anything about it. Apart from closing the account I can't imagine any other solution.
