EW-36
I purchased an EWheels EW-36 in Dec. of 2021. Several months after the purchase started to experience loss of battery power. The advertised travel distance is 43 mile +/-. We were fortunate if it travelled 5 miles. Called EWheels and was told to take batteries to an auto parts store to have them tested. I did and they would not hold a charge. I called Ewheels 11 times between May and November. Most times put on hold for extended periods of time then disconnected. Several times was told to leave a message and they would return the call within 24-48 hours. No return calls. As warm weather returned in March of 2022, I bought new batteries myself (03/15/22). Also, a new charger Still had same problem. Once again made phone calls in April and May and left voicemail. Recording said somebody would get back in 24-72 hours. No return call. There is a 3 year "Limited Warranty" on the scooter. On 05/17/22 I was told by an EWheels representative I could call a service company to come to my home to make repairs. I don't think I should have to pay under the warranty and I have been trying to contact them for over a year.
Desired outcome: 1 - Fix the problem and guarantee repair2 - Return scooter for a refund

THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL FRAUD. I PURCHASED A EW-36 MOBILITY SCOOTER AND IT IS A PEICE OF ###. THE CHARGER BURNED UP THE FIRST TIME I PLUGED IT IN, AND THE SCOOTER WAS FULL OF DAMAGE WHEN I UNPACKED IT. I CALLED EWHEELS AND AFTER MORE THEN 30 ATTEMPTS, I DID CONTACT THERE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THE GUY STSTED THAT OTHERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE CHARGER BURNING OUT, BUT HE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE ISSUE, AND WHEN I EMAILED HIM PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGE, HE STATED, I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED, BUT I WILL LET MANAGERMENT KNOW YOUR UPSET. THAT WAS AS FAR AS IT WENT, HE DID NOTHING, AND NO ONE HAS EVER CONTACTED ME ABOUT THIS. THEY KNOW THE CHARGER CAN CAUSE A FIRE OR SHOCK TO SOMEONE, YET THEY KEEP ON SELLING THE SCOOTERS, THEY DO NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS, NOR WILL THEY FIX ANY PROPLEMS.
CLEARLY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELFS AND MONEY, AS CLEARLY, THEY HAVE FULL KNOWLEDGE OF A FIRE PROBLEM, YET THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I AM CONTACTING A LAWYER AND OTHERS TO GET THIS COMPANY LEGALLY, AND PUT A STOP TO THERE SALE OF DEFECTIVE ITEMS.
i HAVE ONE, AND IT IS A TRASH. WILL NOT CHARGE, LIGHTS WILL NOT WORK, AND EWHEELS WILL NOT ADDRESS MY COMPLAINTS. THIS IS NOT A COMPANY A HANDICAPPED PERSON WANTS TO DEAL WITH.

Mar, 03.2012 still not get my bike back (3 months)

We purchased an electric tricycle from the www.electricwheelstore.com and after 4 days it broke down. The trike was packed very badly and some parts were missing. Calling them a few times they said to me to get lost because it's not their problem anymore. I cannot beliive they treat their customer this way. Never do business with them!
Hi ffs usa, I am in the UK, and have recently got one of these second hand, an early model I think, and am thinking of putting a speed pot in series in the throttle wiper lead, the early models did not have this. I am guessing this is how it was implemented. Anyway, I would be interested to have any info at all that you have on this scooter as anything is so difficult to come by. I run a repair shop and currently have a customers EW-36 eWheels in for repair. What a POS. After several discussions with Derek the service manager, I found out that these things are made in China. This explains a lot as I have noticed very pore quality and design. This customer has only had their scooter less than 3 years and the controller is no longer available with no replacement or upgrade kits available. This is completely unacceptable. They don't even have wiring diagrams for or anything for troubleshooting. I had to take the time to make my own and make several calls to Derek on wiring, resistance readings and voltage readings. I have worked on a lot of mobility scooters and this brand and company is by far the worst! So DO NOT buy anything from these people!
I am one of many employees that have been with this company for over 2 years. We have a full service dept. and our scooters go through multiple inspections prior to shipping and we have many levels of quality control. We have updated our packaging and our number 1 concern is our dealers and customers. I can't speak for what occurred before I started working here, but I can say that we have thousands and thousands of happy customers and I would not continue to work here if I did not believe in the company or the owner of the company. The answer above by jackwidow is written by Scott Rubin the distributor of the EW-36 scooter. He is trying to mislead the consumers again. it is never his fault, it is always the dealer's fault, who happens to be him. Very typical !

Buyers beware. Check with the BBB about his companies: Electric Wheels, LLC and e-Wheels.
The EW-36 is a fake Chinese scooter made by CEMOTO out of Jinhua. No quality control, cheap parts, and the USA distributor Scott Rubin does not offer any customer service! or carry replacement parts. They just want to take your money, and you are on your own.
I not 100% sure but as I have look E-Wheels is the company that makes electric scooter called the EW-36 scooter is the manufacturer of the scooter their do not sell to the public. The scooter is sold by dealers like Electric Wheel Store their are a dealer of the scooter not the manufacturer of the scooter.
