Unauthorized electronic check
Complaint Rating: 97 % with 35 votes
UNAUTHORIZED ELECTRONIC CHECK FOR $49.95 WAS PRESENTED BY THIS COMPANY AGAINST MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. Someone at this company created an electronic check using my account details and made up a check number 9999 and made it out for $49.95. The number used isn’t my check sequence.

I never authorized this transaction, I tried calling and emailing them to no avail. I notified my bank that I didn’t write the check. I have no ideal who Ever Private Card is and I didn’t order anything from this company.

Sub: Unauthorized electronic check for $49.95 was presented by this company against my checking account

Someone at this company created an electronic check using my account details and made up a check number 9999 and made it out for $49.95 and caused my checking account to overdraw.

I never authorized this transaction, I tried calling and emailing them to no avail. I don't even know what this is for, period.

I contacted my bank this morning immediately upon discover of this and the bank officer I spoke to was very helpful and is returning this item to Ever Private Card's bank as unpaid due to insufficient funds, but my bank will restore my balance and credit me back the overdraft fees it caused to my account. In addition to that, my bank is putting a freeze on this account and I have to go in on Friday to close this one and open a brand new account.

These are scam artists and my bank advised me that if I need a short term loan, to go locally to apply, and not over the internet.

Ever Private Card submitted a electronic check to my bank stating they had an application with my signature. I don't even know who they are or what they sell.

The same thing happened to me. I kept writing and they would never give a direct answer. When I said that if action was not taken I WOULD file charges with the Attorney General of my state, they sent me a link to request a refund. The link is

http://www.secretcashcardservice.com/cgi-bin/refund.cgi.

We will see what happens.

I too am a victim of this company. My account was charged $29.95 by this company without my ok. I am very thankful that my bank was familiar with this scam and caught it.

Ok what's really going on? I'm actually on the phone with my bank right now, trying to dispute this. Who are these people or what is this company? Hello, we all clearly were in some type of financial need which forced us to apply for a pay day loan in the first place, why and how could they do this. I emailed the company and stated that if the amount was not debited to my account by the end of the next business week, I would seek legal action. I'm hoping my bank is familiar with this scam and is willing to reimburse me. This is a sad, ridiculous case of kicking someone while their down!

I also was scammed by quickcardservices.com. I had to write to them 3 times. The third time i informed them that i would be contacting the BBB, FTC and the Attorney Generals office. They responded that they would be refunding my money due to "my error"... LOL

It will take up to 10 days. I will keep you posted. Everyone needs to file complaints about this company to ever business conduct reporting agency out there. What they do IS WRONG . There needs to be better laws against this 3rd party information. My bank wasn't so nice. They did not consider it fraud since i had put my personal information online and would not refund my overdraft fees.

I agreed but to no avail. As soon as i recover from this 109.95 overdrafts i am going to change my bank

The same thing happened to me. I just opened a checking account the end of march and on 4/4 $49.95 was taken from my account from this ever private card company which i never heard of. My bank says they have a electronic signature from a check #9999 from me. I never wrote a check yet, i just opened my account and haven't even received my checks in the mail yet! So how can this company deduct money from my account without my permission? This is really pisses me off because i'm arguing with the bank people trying to convince them that i never even made such a transaction and i want my money back because now my account is overdrawn! The number my bank gave me to call this company doesn't even allow for you to speak with anyone but give a website to go to... The website has nothing on it! Except for aplace to leave your name, email address and comment and says please give 24 hrs to be contacted. That was on 4/9- i haven't been contacted back yet even after leaving 4 comments! This company needs to be reported and charged with a crime because they are ruin individuals lives.come on people, money doesn't grow on trees who has money to just give away? No way am i gonna let them get away with this i take this matter to washington d.c government if i have to! This is ridiculous! They gonna pay for what they did to me and others.

Good morning everyone, it seems I just joined this club. I just checked my account and there's a withdrawal for 49.95 from this company. Who the hell are these people. I don't have the funds to lose, i made the mistake of trying to get a loan online and these parasites where waiting. There going after people with no money that is truly sad. Followed the web page posted above . Going to close my bank account to stop any further actions. Good luck everyone.

Call your bank to reverse charges, they should do it free of charge to you. Also tell them to put a stop payment on this company. They did the same thing to me. Hope this info is useful to you. I've been with my bank for 15 years and never had a problem with this until now. Not only did they charge 49.95 but also another 159.95. My bank is nice enough to reverse these charges back to this everprivatecard. Yeah the name says it all "ever private" can't even get ahold of these bone heads.

On 5/23/07 an unauthorized check cleared through my bank account. I had never heard of this company before and I didn't not sign up for their services.

I agree with every body on this page. I wake up one morning and check my bank account and they took forty nine dollars and nine five cents out of my bank of account. So i only had enough money to paid my rent. I couldn't pay the rest of my bills. So i had to call the company i owe my to and work out an agreement. Lucky for me the plan work out. So i call ever card to request a refund they told me to go online. So i went on line and a few minutes they respond saying they're not going to refund my money. So i want them back in told them if they don't refund my money i will be force to take legal action against there company. And i told them i'm going to get a lot more money then what they took from me.so they wrote me an second time refusing to refund me my money. So i write them again and told them i have made a complaint against there company. So they write me back and said your refund has been approved. When we are online doing something we have to be careful. So i'm not going to do business with any other company online. The lady on the phone told me because i request a pay day advance from think cash that how they got my information. They should be sued by all of us. They should be put out of business. The good thing about this they have to refund your money. I called my bank and told them why did you accept an check number 9999 when you know i don't use numbers like that.

My advice to everybody that this happen to is to change your banking information. Get an new account number. I told them don't ever do that again. This just another way for them to get rich off of us.

I had this happen to me today, they took 57.00 check number 9999, my bank says I have to go in and file a complaint because it is a check, this is not the first time this happened to me I keep getting weird phone calls regarding my account and stuff I don't know what to do I am totally freaking out. This is horrible! My account had 5 small transactions come thought for like 10 dollars a piece so I am going to incur 33 dollar nsf fees for each so I am going to have over 200 dollar in charger because of these ppl. They have ripped me off and I have never even heard of them!

I think that this is totally wrong!! No one is safe these days. There was a 49.95 deduction from my checking account, and I did not authorize it. Now the bank is charging me 32.00 for insufficient funds, which throws my whole checking account off. Is there any way that we can sue these credit card companies? This is the 3rd time I ab8fahave had to change checking accounts.

I had the same thing happen to me except the charge was 54.95 that was taken out of my account with check number 9999. I also told them that if I did not get a refund then I was going to contact an attorney that is when they sent me to the link where I could file for a refund. I am waiting for the refund check. This has got to be stopped it is absolutely ridiculous!!!

I had the same problem; they took funds out of my card. They said I approved the withdrawal by checking yes on some form online. That could have been accurate physically, but I had no idea I was clicking to agree to this.

Thats the problem and why in legal terms they tell you to CHECK THE FINE PRINT. There's little defense against it, when they have physical online proof you checked yes, even if you did not knowingly do so. How do you prove otherwise in this situation?

I advise you - the best security about unauthorized withdrawals is to be as CAREFUL as possible about what you're signing online. Really Really be careful. Its too easy to make a mistake. It just doesn't seem fair - you did not even know you wanted the purchase and they DON'T EVEN CARE- THEY JUST WANT THEIR MONEY. EVERPRIVATE is one of those companies. They don't care AT ALL.
