Recently I applied for a Job with Asda's at the Lowestoft Branch. I have been working for travel and Leisure company for the last 20 years and because personal reasons decided to apply for a drivers job closer to home and less hrs. I was taken to a web site directed by a company called ENTERPRISE-TRM-BRASSING I guess who are sub contracted to separate the wheat from the chaff. I was then asked to fill out multiple question and answers, which obviously profiles me and puts me in a category for this company to analyse me and decide whether I fit the square shape. I was then taken to another page and asked a series of questions relating to Asdas mission statement and weather I thought the answers were true or false. May say that the dialog claimed it was not a test. And finally had to fill out a form regarding equal opportunities. Here is my complaint: - At no point was there any human interaction, Asda has let a computer software company decide their future employment and the future of their business. And had no say in who is to be hired, after all how can they, they never get to meet the applicants. After reading the response from Asda/Enterprise brm Brassing it was obvious the response was automated. Or whoever responded is totally heartless with no regard or respect for their applicants - (I was told not to re apply for 6 months, if I did my application would be rejected. ASDA I have been shopping in your store for many years, I have got too say i am sadly disappointed equally extremely upset at being treated like a second class citizen. It is with regret that I type this letter but feel strongly that this be brought to you attention straight away so that your customers even the future of your business are treated this way in the future. Finally if your Profit and Loss accounts are way down perhaps it may pay to start right here. My email address is [protected]@gmail.com

I had a similar experience. I applied for a position at DOLLAR TREE AS AN ASSISTANT MANAGER . After the 15-20 minute application process I received a so called "invitation" to an online assessment. When I clicked on the link it took me to a page where it stated that the position I applied for was a filled. This is the email message I received Thank you for your interest in Dollar Tree and for applying to the OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER position in Hamden. At this time we have identified an individual who is a closer match to our immediate need.

They stated I was to complete the information any way and the "system" would evaluate me and tell me if the position was filled or if I was a good candidate for the position.
This is nothing more than an illegal attempt to illicit personal information for their own purposes, to track your spending habits, the web sites you visit, and all other personal information about you! It has absolutely nothing to do with possible employment! Naturally when I saw position was filled. The same position is still posted on DOLLAR TREE's website. I refused to give any further information, and go to any other site. By the way, I was referred to the website to apply for the job. The store manager told me to use him as a reference. So I know the position is still open.
This is the DOLLAR TREE in Hamden CT, 06511. It always looks as though it is going out of business because of strinkage. I thought I could make a difference.

These are the same people who represent Home Depot and Walmart. No personal interview. I worked at Walmart at 2 other stores for 2 years and was denied at a third because of their questionnaire. Walmart pays minimum wage in Canada and the hours are poor but to take this questionnaire and base a hire or denial on this is not fair to anyone. The least the companies that use this protocol can do is meet the applicants and then make a decision.

I had a similar experience. I applied for a position at Lowe's and after the application process I received a so called "invitation" to an online assessment. When I clicked on the link it took me to a page where it stated that the position I applied for was a "non-assessed position." They stated I was to complete the information any way and the "system" would tell me if the position was indeed a non-assessed one.
This is nothing more than an illegal attempt to illicit personal information for their own purposes, to track your spending habits, the web sites you visit, and all other personal information about you! It has absolutely nothing to do with possible employment! Naturally when I saw non-assessed position I refused to give any further information, and if this costs me a job, legally I can sue! Talk to a lawyer...a good one! Maybe we should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these kinds of practices!

Obviously a scam the companies Brassring purports to be accepting the applications for, are on board with somehow, because I have gone to the direct company websites after experiencing the same multitude of calls and emails after having placed applications on line through Indeed, Career Builder and a couple others like them, and this company has sent me at least 2 letters stating that I was unfortunately unqualified for positions I am very experienced in and qualified for.. And even though I've filled out aps at the company site (Specifically Republic Services); this TRM Enterpise Brassring sent me this same email claiming I unfortunately am not going to be offered the position they (Republic Services) are still hiring for for at least 28 days now. Yet Indeed keeps sending the notification to my email address and Republic Services keeps it listedd as open on their website. Isn't their a discrimination law pertaining to this kind of hiring?

I applied for a position with Time Warner Cable (TWC) in Greensboro, NC as a Customer Service Representative opening-173152BR and was advised application was submitted after experiencing extreme difficulty accessing my assessment website with brassring.com. I had applied numerous times for positions with TWC-Greensboro and assumed that previous applications had saved my assessment scores when I received confirmation that my application as successfully submitted. Today I received an email () stating that my above stated application was cancelled due to my failure to complete the necessary assessment protocol. I apologize for my misunderstanding and respectfully request TWC review software to initiate study for customer friendly applications to insure others may not face similar problems going forward. My previous employers have promoted the concepts to "thinking outside the box" and "In Search Of Excellence" but the boxes must be inherently clear, simple and precise. Thanks for your attention in this matter!

I have found that many jobs posted on indeed.com, ziprecruiter and sometimes careerbuilder.com and monster.com are actually hidden advertisements for furthering education programs. Pay attention to when you apply for a job especially on indeed or zip. The forms ask for information just like company would. They want your name, phone number, address, email...anything that would enable someone to contact you "should you qualify for the job." Often, within 3 days of applying for several jobs, my email will become full of "continue your education" or "we were glad to hear from you" and "you may qualify for financial aid." In addition, I receive multiple phone calls from numbers that I do not recognize. Naturally, I'd answer the calls because I was hoping to hear from a company who wanted to bring me in for an interview. 9 of 10 phone calls I get are from someone on the other end, I assume some kind of an enrollment specialist, saying they received the information that I had submitted...I KNOW I did not submit to any continuing education online, inclass, evening, or weekend. I have a Bachelor's and a certification, and am NOT interested in furthering my education. The more calls I received, the more I began to pay attention to what, when, who, and why these people were calling me. The poor soul on the other end of the phone seems genuinely confused as to why I'm not interested in what they're offering since they can see I have completed some form within 3 days of their call. Sometimes the SAME DAY. Turns out...this is a cruel way to obtain leads. I have wasted HOURS of my precious time filling out forms thinking I was doing my due diligence in filling out applications...when really, all I've been doing is giving solicitors my contact information. BEWARE...the best thing to do when looking for a job is to go to the temp agencies, go directly to a company website, or try word of mouth. Good luck...
