Rented a car from Enterprise on April 19th, day after my husband's car accident. I went to Enterprise because my law firm often rents from that location. Ashley checked me in and because it was a Saturday the place was mobbed and another girl took me out to the car to check it out. Didn't see any damage but
it was raining so we moved around the car very quickly. Got in the car, noticed damage to the interior and brought Ashley out to look at it. She said that's normal wear and tear and sent me on my way. When I got home I found the last renter's rental agreement in the glove box and saw that a scratch had been noted on the rear passenger door, so I kept that just to show I didn't cause the scratch. After extending the rental several times over the course of two weeks, I finally decided that we were ready to return the car on a Saturday. Friday evening I called and spoke to Ashley and asked her how clean the
car needed to be because my kids had sand in their shoes and if I need to vacuum the car, I would do it before returning it. She said sand is okay. Fast forward to Saturday: another woman at enterprise, not Ashley who is not working, checks in my car. It's a sunny day, and as we are looking at the car, she keeps
backing away from it and looking at it at different angles. She then informs me that there is a dent in the car so subtle that she has to go compare it to other Ford Fusions on the lot to even be sure it's a dent. She asked if we walked the car when I took the car out. I said yes but it was raining, so obviously spotting
this would be tough. It's tough on a sunny day. But she tells me "this has to be repaired, who is your insurance with?" I said I have insurance with State Farm. She said what's your deductible. I said $500. She said aggressively, "do you have that today?" I ask if I can speak with Ashley and she tells me that Ashley's not working today and she would tell me the same exact thing anyway. So I told her I would meet her
inside. I went inside and told her I would keep the car through and of business Monday. She asked if
I was doing that "to look into my options"? I said yes. She then asked why I wanted to talk with Ashley is it because Ashley had checked me in. I said well that, and she also handles my office account. She asked then what business I work for. I told her MR law firm and she said okay, and I left and parked the
car at the office. This damage is nearly invisible and even if I did it, which of course I didn't, it's not $500 worth of damage. On Monday when I returned the car, Ashley told me that I had to pay for the damage. It is my position that the damage was almost certainly there when I rented the vehicle, but it was nearly invisible. I am shocked at how they speed over the vehicle when you rent the car and then go over it with a fine toothed comb on its return. To make matters worse, in South Carolina, uninsured motorist coverage (working with the hypothesis that this was a hit and run parking lot situation) does not carry over to a rental car because by South Carolina state law the vehicle owner must carry liability insurance so I feel like this is an aggressive scam by Enterprise. They intimidate customers into paying their collision deductible and filing it as a collision claim. If I had an accident I would own up to it and report it through my insurance. Their damage recovery unit (DRU) will keep you on hold for days. The location already told me the cost to repair the tiny dent is $480. I fully expect to receive a demand letter to include many more hundreds for loss of use and administrative fees. None of this is covered by insurance. Renter beware; avoid Enterprise.

We never rent a car again at Enterprise Rent-A-Car location 13206 Millard Ave. Omaha, NE 68137 because they are very bad, cheating, forcing and trying to made money from the renter anyway they can...if Enterprise Rent-a-Car Corp. Office want to know what is going on at that location then call me.
