Enhanced Services Billing Inc. Service Never Requested

The reason of this complaint is because you have been charging me from August to January for a service I never requested. I did not notice this until today January 8th, 2010. I already spoke to one of your representatives and told him I want this action stopped as of today 01/08/10 and expect a refund or credit as well. So, your representative told me to do a complaint in this webpage and gave me a confirmation number.

My name is Nariman Alhalabi and my account number is [protected]. my contact number is [protected].

Enhanced Services Billing Inc. charge for service not requested

On this month's bill for my landline (AT&T) I noticed a new charge of $14.95 for "Residential Email, LLC-Monthly Service Fee." When I called the company (Enhanced Services Billing Inc.), I was told that my 22 year-old daughter had signed up for this. This woman now lives in a distant state and there is no possible way that she could have or would have signed up for this. The company quickly offered to back out the charge.
I paid my AT&T bill after substracting the $14.95 from the total. I will be interested to see if AT&T bills me for the balance.
I agree with others who think AT&T is responsible for this blatant scam. What are they doing being involved with this shady company?

Yet another poor sucker caught by these idiots! If AT&T aren't bad enough already with extra charges out the butt!
Just checked our latest phone bill and another company charge of $15.85 appears on it from Enhanced Services Billing Inc. Neither my husband nor myself have ordered anything or any services from this company and Im damm sure the dogs arent quiet up to using the computer or phone!
How do these companies keep operating, and where are the checks that are meant to be in place to protect the consumer?!

I have received a charge of $14.95 on my telephone bill from a company called Enhanced Services Billing Inc. I had to call my phone provider AT&T to take the charge out and see who authorized this charge. They have mentioned that I have to call "Enhanced Services Billing Inc" to cancel the charge since it is not from them. I have called them and had it canceled. This is unacceptable and a total SCAM. Enhanced Services Billing Inc says that the charge was for an internet service enhanced feature to help save on items purchased online. I have not authorized or care about such services. I'm afraid that my personal information is being given to third party vendors from my internet service provider to make extra money without my consent. Their number is [protected].

I had fraudulent charges appear on my phone bill from Enhanced Services Billing Inc. (listed as Residential Email LLC). Unfortunately I had not noticed until 7 months of charges had been collected. I called AT& T and they said it was not their responsibility (ridiculous, since it it billed through them!). So I called the toll-free number for Residential Email LLC and talked to someone there to cancel my service, complain and ask for reimbursement. At fist they said they said they could cancel the service but could only reimburse me for 3 months of past charges. After more complaining, they came back on the phone and offered to reimburse me for 6 months of past charges; but not for the 7 months that I had been scammed. At least they offered that much! I'm still waiting for the reimbursements on my phone bill; we'll see.

This seems blatantly criminal and, looking around on the internet, it seems they've been pulling this scam for several years. I'm sure I never ordered this service (and no one could've requested it on my behalf). Where is "law enforcement" when you need it?

I had and unauthorized charge of $29.90 on my phone bill from Network Assurance Inc. It said it was for an efax montly service fee. I called their number and spoke to an asian man with a language barrier. I could barely understand hm and he told me that I had signed up on jobs.com website. I told him that I was retired and did not need a job or have ever been at that website. He promptly told me that he would refund me and even gave me a confirmation number. I called my phone company (AT&T) and they were very helpful. They instructed me not to pay the $29.90. I did not order anything from these people and this is clearly a scam. There were 2 phone numbers for this crooked company on my phone bill: [protected] & [protected]. I called the [protected]. I think these people change numbers daily to avoid detection.

Yes, I too found unauthorized charges from ESBI when I did my check on my phone bill as I do, but not monthly (but I will start) when I called the number to inquire regarding the charges, I spoke with Kathy who hung up on my husband, then I called back and she hung up on me. She had tried to say that my husband authorized the charge thru an Email account that we had never heard of. I called back and have spoken with a Tanisha and a Christina who assure me that they have notified my phone company to credit me back in full for all charges. I will certainly be checking to make certain that credit is received.

Enhanced Services Billing Inc. Billed for services not ordered-cramming-on ATT bill

This company billed on my Att bill for new services on my land line. I never heard of them or the service. I have basice phone service, I don't even have caller ID on my phone right now since I am trying to cut spending were I can. I don't have voicemail service on my land line, never have, never will. That is what answering machines are for! I researched these people and they are quite something! Watch your bills because apparently this is not something that is going away!

Unauthorized charges added to my phone bill. When I called they are supposedly giving me a credit, but had no answer as to how/why/what this is. This is a total scam and the only reason those people answer the phone is to credit (supposedly) the people that actually look at their phone bill and notice this bogus charge. It is a sad world when a conpany that has nothing to do with telecommunications can actually charge your phone bill and get the $ from AT&T all without your knowlage or authorization. I am not slamming AT&T but for a company with such a big and reputable name to have affiliations with sleazy companies out to rip people off is really sad also.

I just received my phone bill today from the local land line phone carrier, Frontier. I have had the same basic service (no caller id, no voicemail, no bells/whistles) for almost 6 years and my bill is always around $25. When i opened my bill and saw new charges were$57 I knew something was up.

Funny thing about my bill, I have a $14.95 charge on July 11 for Voicemail and another $14.95 on July 13 for Intelecom ME. These are being charged by Enhanced Services Billing Inc, a company I've never heard of and never ordered any services from.

I called the toll-free number listed immediately, and of course, they are not available on Saturdays. I will be calling immediately on Monday to have these charges reversed. I will also be calling my local phone company to lodge a formal complaint about this company and the charges they placed on my bill.

Michigan, same here. I called ESBI's TOLL FREE # immediately and complained and the woman gave me a confirmation # of the cancellation and said it could take 2 billing cycles before it was credited. I am discounting the $15.95 from THIS months bill as AT&T can afford to carry the amount bettern I can. Pass this info on to others whom may not check their bills. But do complain right away.

These people should not be able to get away with what they do. They think they can do this without authorization. They make millions of dollars off people who never know they are doing this.

I am having the exact same problem with them through Frontier telephone in Rochester. I called EBS, they said my daughter did it.. but she doesn't live here and she said she didn't. They same they could credit my account for the two months I NOTICED the bill.. but I just got my bill and they didn't creidt and they have billed me again. I called Frontier and they said it's illegal for them to block an unauthorized bill like that!? So it seems I have no recourse to stop paying this unless I change my number because they are obviosly lying to appease me when I call them. I don't see how they can continue to do this and it seems we can do nothing.
