dishonest practices/puppy purchase
We should have known better, we read other poor reviews and should have listened to them! We purchased a puppy in February 2108. The breeder stated that this puppy was once "again" available due to health reasons of the person that had reserved her. We were also PROMISED that we could meet the parents of the puppy, as this was an ongoing complaint we read about on line.
Well, we cannot confirm why the other person did not take the puppy, but we can tell you that she came home with a number of health concerns from infections to a folded vulva which creates ongoing UTI's. "If" this puppy was "ever" taken to a vet, the breeder knew all of this, however nothing was disclosed, and top dollar was paid. Also, the parents WERE NOT there for us to meet and the excuses were so belittling. The morning of our arrival (we had a 3 hour drive) I called in to assure that the parents would be there, we were told, "Absolutely!", yet they were not... we were blatantly lied to.
Unfortunately this breeder is beyond deceptive and little care/concern is given to their animals. It is a glorified puppy mill and this is our 5th full breed English Lab. Before we ever left this breeder, both my husband and I stated that all the reviews were true, but we felt we needed to "RESCUE" this puppy, so we did. We've had her a number of weeks now and have had 6 trips to the vet, but we knew she needed us when we met her. Unlike this breeder, we love our animals and provide the best care and environment for them.
Shame on Endless Mountain Labradors! They are deceptive in every way that we can tell. Unless you have an "endless" wallet, please stay away from them.
My husband and I would like to share that the owners of Endless Mountain Labradors immediately reached out to us regarding our derogatory rating and comments. We all spoke at length to understand why things transpired as they did, and unfortunately, due to miscommunication, and miscommunication alone, our experience was not as we anticipated. As business owners ourselves, we can understand and accept that things happen at times that create this type of circumstance.
As breeders, they would like us to meet our puppy's parents and are even willing to take a road trip to do so. We believe that this clearly shows good faith and are pleased to say that we will do this soon. I certainly took the time to complain, so I'd like to take the necessary time to remedy that complaint. Our experience was not great, but having the full picture now, we can understand why this is so. Not all company owners take the time and attention to address concerns from their customers, Endless Mountain Labradors did, and we are grateful. Thank you Donna and Jonathan.
Deceptive breeding practices
Please read all of the complaints about this breeder before buying a puppy from them - I wish I had...
We purchased a lab puppy from them 9 years ago. Right from the start I suspected something fishy. Dam not present, Sire not present. The appearance of the pup was not at all like the pictures of the sire and dam I had been sent - she was pea headed and slender, not at all like the English style parents I was sent pictures of. Also there were 4 litters in their basement, all ready to go home at the same time. How does that happen? I strongly suspect that their idyllic farm is a front for a puppy farm.
My dog's temperament was questionable, she showed fear and anxiety right from the start, and sadly, her health was poor as well. She needed to be euthanized at age 7.
Please also read how hard the breeder fights back if anyone posts anything negative --- she positively explodes with fury. Me thinks you protest too much.
Endless Mountain Labs, you broke our hearts.
Shame on you.
Donna, I am a real client, and you are a real piece of work. We loved that poor flawed (in temperament and health) dog you duped us into. Again, anyone looking at EML for a puppy, beware those who protest to much!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I'm going to have to agre you are a fake come on 9 years and now posting. No one should ever buy any dog without seeing the parents.
male chocolate labrador
I have a chocolate lab that is now 6 years old. We love everything about him, he is the sweetest and nicest thing ever. Personality is wonderful and he is a gorgeous dog. The only problem we have is that he always has dandruff and dry/itchy skin. We have tried everything, foods, medicines, shampoos, brushing him regularly. But nothing seems to work. He also always gets ear infections for which we have to buy medicine for a lot. Another thing he gets is bad sores in-between his toes on his paws. Which is also something we have to get medicine for. All these expenses add up to be a lot. We've literally tried everything but these problems keep on popping up. Just would like to know what to do here. But overall, endless mountain labradors gave us a the best dog I have ever had, such a sweetie. We had the first pick of the litter and my dad wanted the big dog, they tried to convince him to get the sweet dog, but my dad said no, we want the big one. So he turned around for a second and then bent down and picked our dog, however he picked the dog that they were trying to sell us on by mistake. As he was walking up and the other guy went down to get his pick of the litter, they said are you sure we didn't convince you to get him? And my dad was like what do you mean this is the big one? And they were like no it's not. But it was too late because the second pick picked the dog that my dad wanted. But anyways... best mistake he ever made! Best dogs you could have and so beautiful, just came with some healthy issues.
deceptive use of this board
On 3rd Nov 2014 In retaliation of the clients that filed complaints against Donna Stanley and Endless Mt Labradors, Donna Stanley copied and pasted numerous claims of clients supposedly providing positive feedback on her kennel and pups. This is NOT the place for that information. She trying to legitimize herself and discredit those that have taken the time and effort to post their complaint. I don't believe that is what this board is all about.
Replies to a complaint are acceptable but not going off topic by attempting to discredit legitimate complaints by over inflating ones position. She has listed countless positive feedback's from clients, real or imagined. This is not the place for this information. She's discredit her own clients because they had a problem with a dog purchased saying they're liars. But how does anyone know if all those feedback's she copied and pasted aren't just lies too? Doesn't add up. I'm requesting those supposedly positive feedback on her kennel be removed.
This breeder is under question for other questionable claims.
She just removed her STAR rating on her FB page because a Few people got together and sent ratings based on real Health issues they are having with their EML dogs! Seems things are catching up to her!
I agree. They are her trying to boost her own ratings. This is not fair to the people with legitimate complaints.
Endless Mountain Labradors - Puppy purchase
Purchased a full registration female puppy for 3500. 00 for breeding purpose. At the time this dog reached puberty, she had developed a thyroid issue. This condition has been diagnosed as genetic and hereditary. Researching this, orthopedic foundation and top breeders as well as veterinarians, recommend she not be used for breeding. Raven has had difficulty...
