Employment Crossing I stumbled upon their website under another ad company

I saw that you had to have debit card and started to cancel when all the sudden my paypal was going through I wrote them saying I didn't authorize any charges and don't know how they got in cause I didn't let it go all the way through I told them right then there is no jobs they can find me that another advertiser hasn't before. I tried to cancel after I saw they debited from my paypal. Now I have to change my pay pay password. Hacking into someone's account is fraud. And stealing. I have no idea how my paypal was started cause I didn't start it.

Employment Crossing Debit Card Fraud

Checked my online bank statement yesterday and found a charge for $49.99 I did not recognize from a Company name Employment Crossing. I am self-employed and hubby already has a job. Called the the phone # @ [protected] & spike with Brianna. I asked her what kind of business this was & she said a job agency. So, I asked why they were taking money out of my bank account? Gave her my name, then she tried to verify my Id info and none of it matched including the year I graduated, the email address, to the phone #. Next I told her I wanted all my money back immediately. Shen put me on phone with a manager I think was named Christie who told me they would refund all my money within 3-5 business days. In the meantime went to the bank to cancel my debit card & was told they had been taking money from me since Sept. 2013 and that this was Identity Theft. The bank manager shredded my card on the spot & told me to file a police report as soon as possible. I will do that Monday. These people are based out of Utah where I have never been. They are Crooks and are not only involved in fraud but also Identity Theft. They should not be trusted & the police should shut them down.

Employment Crossing Billing practrices

I signed up for a free trial in November 2011. They then started billing me monthly, but I never received notice they were billing me every month. Unfortunately, I had just moved, so I did not notice this until mid February. I called but they refused to credit my account for one month when I cancelled. I contacted the BBB in California. Employment Crossing has a rating of D-. Yes, that's right. a DEE-MINUS! I sent a complaint letter to the state attorney generals office requesting a full refund. The California AG office did what they could without getting legally involved, and I ended up getting a letter from the state AG of California with a copy of my contract from Employment Crossing showing how I signed up. It was done very quickly, which tells me Employment Crossing has had to do this often just to satisfy the needs to the investigation from the California State AG office. Plus, I cancelled mid-Feb and I am still to this day (April 14, 2012) getting emails from them! I called and demanded that I be removed, and the same flim-flam man I talked to last time said he will submit my request.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They are absolutely horrible. The few good comments you'll see about the company are from fake accounts set up by people who work for them.

Employment Crossing unethical billing, fraudulent claims

All complaints are absolutely justified: fraudulent claims, billing scams, rude employee, shuck and jive, bob and weave, $-hundreds swindled and zero services provided.
"Harrison Barnes" is a snake, a real estate scammer who runs a tiny boiler room in downtown Pasadena. This site is probably his #1 cash cow. He has no verifiable address at which to serve summons, so can't be sued by the average victim.

Employment Crossing Will not refund money

I tried to cancel on the last day of my three day trial and they were closed. So I called as soon as they opened at 9 a.m. the next day and the customer service agent was horrible. She refused to return the money and when I referenced the 100% satisfaction guarantee, she directed me to the terms of use (that contradicts the 100% satisfaction guarantee).

The guarantee states "EmploymentCrossing's free trial is covered by a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If at any time during your free trial you are not happy with EmploymentCrossing for any reason, please contact our customer service department immediately. Your complete satisfaction is our goal. (Do not worry if you forget to call us before the end of your trial, either.) We want you to enjoy our site and feel confident giving us a try. If you tell us you wanted an extra day or two to try the site and did not call us before the end of your trial we will generally make sure you have not been charged for the service. Your complete satisfaction and happiness with us is our goal."

When I asked her why the company tells customers that they should not worry if they forget to call before the final day, she referred me to point #5 in the Terms of Use that states that refunds will only be honored in the first 3 days. When I tried to speak to a manager about the contradicting guarantee and terms of use, she informed me that there was no manager there. After demanding to speak to a manager several times she rudely told me to call back later and he may be available.

This company needs to be shut down. I'm going to take every step necessary to get my money refunded!

Weirdly enough, I just had a pleasant interaction with Employment Crossing.

I called to say I had thought I had a month to cancel the monthly subscription, not 15 days. The nice person didn't argue just said, would you like us to send you a refund and cancel your account?

Well, there was nothing I could say to that.

In this competitive world it is very hard and quit impossible to find a reliable job. But "EmploymentCrossing" is doing this heard work very effectively and reliably.I am telling this because I have some good experience about EmploymentCrossing.
EmploymentCrossing is a world famous rich job site where all kinds of jobs available and it is exceptional than other site because of its resource and proper services. This site has some positive feature such as it maintains a strong security about the profile of its members. I personally very satisfied about this site for its helpful and dedicated service. It is an amazing place to search for jobs and careers stress free.

EmploymentCrossing is a private job board and we do not charge employers to post jobs. In fact, what we do is completely different: EmploymentCrossing actually goes out and searches for every single job it can find in the market by reviewing hundreds of thousands of job boards, employer career pages, newspaper websites, association websites, and more. We then take all of those jobs and put them on our site. We are taking jobs from places that people simply do not know about and your competitors are not finding. When you apply to jobs on EmploymentCrossing you get a better response from employers and more interviews and more job offers. It makes a huge difference.

Many employers are just plain cheap and only post their ads on their own site. Instead of spending $500 to post a "contractor jobs" job on Monster many employers would rather pay $20 to post a job on a small website with no traffic. (Paradoxically, in a bad economy employers start posting more of their jobs in cheaper places—or on their own websites, which costs them nothing—and more such "unknown" jobs make it to EmploymentCrossing. The posting the employers do on the site with no traffic ends up getting no applications and when you apply (having found the job on EmploymentCrossing) you stand out and are likely to get the job.

People try and get into the most competitive colleges, for example, due to the higher quality of them compared to public institutions open to everyone. EmploymentCrossing is like a private club and it gives tremendous benefits to its members that far exceed those of a public job board. Our site charges people to be members and this excludes most job seekers. In return, our members get access to every single "part-time jobs" job that we can find and the peace of mind of knowing they are giving themselves the most options in the employment market. Our members also typically get far, far more interviews and jobs with their choice employers than people on competing sites.

Our members at EmploymentCrossing would generally prefer you do not become part of our private site because you are competition for the same jobs they are after.

Warning to those who think of using employmentcrossing.com in search of a job. Waste of money, stay away, good luck ever calling them, on hold forever, when you get through nobody will help you. Their support/billing dept is in India and everything is designed to their benefit. I chose 1 month package, got charged for 3, called, they said it was my mistake, no refund will be issued.

Their site is claiming fake numbers as well, 136, 311 new jobs added TODAY, yeah right. Hello, this country is in recession! Think who you're stealing from, you're stealing from people who have no jobs and are trying to better themselves. Also, on the testimonial review page, they have a section "UNCENSORED REVIEWS" - oh please let me write my review there, pretty please.

Employment Crossing - Questionable tactics

EmploymentCrossing uses questionable practices in signing you up. Unlike comparable services that notify you that your 7-day trial is about to convert to a paid service, EmploymentCrossing does not subscribe to this practice. And since they make it a big point that they won't pro-rate their monthly service, you're out of $30. Be careful, no one ever...

Employment Crossing Unauthorized charges

On October 14 I gave my B of A debit card information to Employment Crossing, as they promised to provide more job ads. They also promised to not charge employers. Not only did I wish to place a job posting for my employer, I wanted to look for a new HR job.

I was unable to 'view' anything (sample-wise) until I gave my debit card information. Two hours later, after I witnessed that there were no 'new jobs' that already were not on Craigslist.org or Monster.com AND after I unsuccessfully attempted to post a job posting for my employer, I called to cancel the 'free trial'. I spoke with 'Lacey' who answered the general number. This was just 2-hours after I placed the order. Lacey confirmed cancellation and stated I would receive an e-mail.

Two days went by and I did not receive an e-mail from Employment Crossing, verifying my cancellation. Instead, I received a marketing e-mail by a 'J. Simpson -Manager'. I replied to the e-mail two times, and did not receive a reply back. I found an e-mail address for the owner of the company, 'Andrew Harrison Barnes' and shared with him my frustration. No reply from Mr. Barnes.

I looked over their website extensively and in small print read that I had to 'call to cancel', I could not write. This was fine, as I had called on October 14 at around 2 PM and spoke with 'Lacey' (Incidentally, I was on hold for 25 minutes before she picked up and from the sound of the 'call center' sounded like they were in a garage!).

I did not receive a confirmation from J. Simpson or Mr. Barnes so I tried calling again on October 17. I tried calling 4 times and each time I called, was on hold longer than 15-minutes. I could not remain on hold at work, so I hung up.

On October 21 I noticed that $29.95 was indeed taken from my checking account and I called Employment Crossing again. After waiting on hold for at least 30-minutes, a man, I believe his name was 'Ken' answered. He put me on hold several times and told me that J. Simpson was 'no longer there' but he could help me. He said that for whatever reason, my cancellation was not processed, but it would be within 24-48 hours.

On October 30 I received another marketing e-mail from Employment Crossing (J. Simpson again). I replied that I would contact my attorney if they did not refund my bank account and cancel immediately. I received a general reply back the next day (October 31) that they were processing my cancellation and I could expect a refund within 2 days. I e-mailed J. Simpson back that I had used my DEBIT CARD, not credit card and it was my understanding that refund processes are handled differently, as the cash was taken from my account... not a credit card. I did not receive a reply back.

Today is November 4, and I still have not received my refund. Because money was taken out of my bank account, and Employment Crossing misrepresented themselves, I have no choice but to contact an attorney as well as several agencies which will [help] expose Employment Crossing for their fraudulent activity.

Absolutely awful. Never use this site. They will rip you off and bill you unscrupulously. They billed me $600 for a service I discontinued and never used. The better business bureau as given them an F for their unethical business practices. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

As the Manager for LawCrossing, I would like to provide a response to your comments. A couple years ago, we made very dramatic changes to LawCrossing. We are continually making changes to our programs and website to improve our clients' experiences. Our customer service now is fantastic, and if you give us a chance, we can show you. We changed our employer job posting platform as well, and we are getting fantastic responses for all legal jobs. I deal personally with our employers regularly and know they would provide positive feedback. We are not just job aggregation, but we also have employers who post jobs with us bringing all legal jobs from across the internet and other sources. This makes us the most comprehensive legal job board you will find, which is why there is a fee. I would challenge anyone that has not tried LawCrossing recently, to give us a try. We will be happy to offer a free month of service for anyone willing to take this opportunity to see how we have changed. You may also call me regarding any questions about this feed directly at [protected].

They offer a free trial for employment service, but it is unclear how to unsubscribe from the service. Their website has a webform to send them a message, but they do not respond to it. Instead, when the trial is over, they charge 39.99 to your credit card. This is a dishonest business that exploits the cumbersomeness of canceling their worthless service.

Their tagline "Why we are not free" is meant to mislead people to think there is some quality to their website.

I also had a bad experience with Employment Crossing, similar to what many of you have experienced -- no response to my emails, just marketing messages; phone ringing without anyone answering; finally getting through to someone who I could barely understand and would barely let me finish a sentence before interrupting. I couldn't get any reasonable information about the company, statistics about their success rates, etc. I still can't be certain the job is actually posted as I can't look at what applicants find when they search (without signing up and paying for the service). I've received no candidate applications to date and it's been 3 days posted. I'm hoping I will end up being pleasantly surprised, but fear I will be terribly disappointed.

I can't comment about whether the actual service they may provide is a scam. But I CAN comment on their approach to scamming folks on their subscription service AND their rude and arrogant telephone support that is outsourced to India. I won't go into the long soap opera, but I did cancel my account as they require, but they kept charging my credit card for months afterwards and refuse to grant even a discussion of a refund. The a-hole on the other end of the line kept telling me that I wasn't getting the messages on the computer screen that I was getting. I got pretty angry and told him not to tell me that I was NOT seeing what I am seeing on the computer.

If you are willing to put up with paying for this service even after you cancel, THEN being treated rudely by outsourced telephone jocks in India, then you will LOVE The Crossings.

If you expect to be treated CORRECTLY and with respect, then RUN - don't walk - from The Crossings. And never look back.

this is to all those who actuallytook the bait and bought the subsription of this piece of [censor] scam site. To begin with, any site that asks job searchers to pay for any kind of placement service is FAKE, SCAM and FRAUD ... period! It is YOUR fault that you fell for this kind of [censor] and now you're all crying about how pathetic [censor] the owner/operatore of this [censor]ed up employment crossing is. Its not their fault, they're there to make quick bucks off the misery of idiots like yourself. For [censor] sake, get yourself up to date on internet scams. This is 2010, not 1999. There's no reason for anyone to get fooled by these lowlife [censor]s.
There are plenty of completely free (for candidates), well reputed and well established job sites such as Dice, Monster, Careerbuilder. Go use them because thats where the real jobs are and thats where all the companies go and post their openings. Good luck all.
