Electrolux faulty dff40

I am having the same kind of issue with the this DFF 40 refrigirator.. Ever since I have bought it, I am having the trouble and god knows how much money I have already spent on getting this PCB thing replaced every year. Ridiculou service / Pathetic management / Hopeless product and the kind of attitude the service guys show to us, its all the more frustrating. Moreover, the parts and service is so very expensive, I dont see a reason why an authorized service guy should be called. ELECTROLUX SUX. Any one in authority listening?

Electrolux $4, 000 refrigerator, no ice

Purchased electrolux french door refrigerator (Model #ew23bc70is1) for about $4k on 7/10/2009. After less than 6 months...1st malfunction... Freezer stopped working on 1/4/2010. 2nd time on 3/15/2010 and 3rd time on 12/27/2010.in between some ice and no ice, many flooding incidents and long periods without any ice at all.
We have been very patient hoping new parts would permanently resolve the ice maker problem... This did not happen.
After reading many other blogs and complaints regarding these refrigerators, there seem little point in a replacement as consumers still have the same complaints in 2011.
At this point we want a refund.

Yep..no ice for us either.. told that it needs new" 8.1 board" computer type programming problem for ice maker ...and gasket on the freezer door but ..it seems to me that the freezer door just doesn't close properly. new board and gasket will be installed but repairman said another customer has same gasket type problem and he is on the 2nd gasket for that guy. the dealer told me that many people are having the same ice maker problem and that it isn't our fault.

Electrolux product flaws

I purchased an Electrolux EI23CS55GS1 Side by Side refrigerator on 10/2008. Keep in mind that the manufacturers warranty is 1 year. I have 3 reasons why I do not recommend that you waste your money on this product. First, there seems to be issues with the temperature on the refigeration side because milk or any other product that contains cream spoils quickly if it is placed on the top shelf. Although the front panel indicates 37 degrees fahrenheit, Ice seems to build on the internal side of the refigerator. If the milk products are placed on lower shelves, the milk products last slightly longer. Second, the refrigerator has 3 crispers which tend to freeze any contents that are placed in them, the middle crisper is the worst. Vegetables and fruit last approximately 2 days. On 6/2009, the front panel was replaced because of a malfunction that caused the touch panel to stop working (4 months left on manufacturers warranty). On 10/2010, the water dispenser stop working (No longer under waaranty). Electolux customer service was a total waste and they do not seem to understand or care about their product flaws.

Electrolux till now I have not received any call from electrolux official or service agency

On 6th August 2009 i.e in less then 8 months its door latch is broken. It is to mention that in between we were out of station for about 4 months, that means the product could not work for mere 4 months.

We called the authorised service agency of Jamshedpur [protected] begin_of_the_skype_highlighting [protected] end_of_the_skype_highlighting on 6th August 09 and lodged the complaint. We followed up every day requesting to attend the complaint and give us the complaint no. for reference. On 14th August we called up the toll free no. of Electrolux and lodged the same complaint “microwave door latch broken”. On 17th August the local (Jamshedpur) service agency called us that complaint will be attended in a day or two. On request they give the complaint no. RN49814022 dated 14th August 09. We asked that the complaint has been lodged on 6th and everyday we have been speaking but the date of the complaint is 14th. The reply was that they dont have record of the complaint before 14th.

We followed up alternate day requesting to attend the complaint and in the last week of august one person came to inspect the microwave, enquired about date of purchase and went back assuring us that in a day or two it will be attended.

We have been calling alternate day as the standard reply was that the service engineer will reach today or tomorrow. On 25th September service engineer attended with some spare parts of the door, after one hour of effort he told that the door is not likely to be repaired as this model is not available. His personal opinion was that the microwave to be replaced as he is not in position to commit, he would communicate to the Electrolux.

We have been calling up service agency and 26th they advised us to directly contact Electrolux officials. On 27th October through service agency I could speak to the Electrolux official and he said that action has been taken to repair or replace the machine and in 10 days time it will happen. I arranged to get the name & mobile no of the Electrolux official Mr Ravi Chourasia [protected] and spoke to him on 6th November. He replied that he needs time to trace the details. On 9th November I called & he gave standard reply that in 10 days time machine should be replaced. On 18th November I again called up and the reply was that he will look in to the matter. I reminded him that the complaint is pending for more then 3 months and no visible commitment to resolve the matter, his reply is the matter has come to his notice recently and about the past he can't comment. I requested him to give me a call if he resolves the issue and as expected till now I have not received any call from Electrolux official or Service agency.

Electrolux very poor quality refrigerator

The refrigerator was seldom used and mostly kept switched off initially for nearly 1 year. After that I was transferred to Bangalore and I started using the refrigerator. However on 1st use it was not cooling. When I asked them to send a mechaninc in April it took them 2 weeks to send a mechanic after hundreds of calls. Then they said they have the gas but some other part is not available and it will take a week to get the same from their factory in North India. I waited with several reminders to them for nearly 3 weeks or more and finally after a lot of harrassment I called their H.O. and started complaints. They arranged for the same to be changed with a charge of more than Rs. 2000/-. Again after 2 weeks it was not working and they came and again charged me for the repair as service charges. Again after 1 or 2 weeks it was not cooling. This time they came and cahnged a fan in the refrigerator stating that it will be working now. They asked me to pay for the same which I did. Again after 1 week it was not working and I really kept on hounding them and imploring them to help me out. Still they kept on charging me every time they came. Finally on 3rd of september I started noting down the number of times Ihave been calling them and whom I have been speaking to. I am now noting all details and am ready that if they do not take immeidate action I will file a consumer case against them.

Electrolux attention electrolux ceo - $30k worth of damage from defective part

Interested in covering for $30, 000 worth of water damage caused by a “defective” and “cheaply made” Electrolux refrigerator? We purchased an Eletrolux refrigerator model number E128BS56IS for $2, 799 plus $199.00 for a resellers warranty on March 15th, 2010. On May 17th, I noticed the ice maker wasn’t working so I called our local reseller who stated this was a known issue with Electrolux and that the company provided an “Icing Kit” to be replaced in this model. The local service representative replaced the ice maker with this kit on May 19th, 2010. I noticed on June 3rd the water pressure from the water dispenser was extremely low and called our local reseller to come back out to check it out. The very next day I noticed water seeping out the other end of one of our large cabinets showing rippling in our hard wood floor! Immediately my husband and I pulled out the refrigerator to find pooled water and significant water damage to the wood floor underneath the fridge. On June 7th (the fastest the service provider could come out) the same installation guy came back to our house to diagnose the situation and stated, “There is a defective water valve here and the water solenoid line to the dispenser is leaking. This is clearly a manufacturer’s defect and I’ve noticed that some manufacturers will use ‘CHEAP’ parts’ like these.” After getting multiple bids on assessing how much this will cost to fix the amount of damage this fridge has caused, we are looking at $30, 000 worth or repairs. This problem has completely turned our lives upside down for almost a month now. Deafening drying machines, ripped up floor, and potential threats to my two-year-old twin girls and dogs are a few distractions to be called out. This has been the worst customer experience of our lives with a lot of empty promises and no return calls over the past few weeks. The amount of run around this company has caused is just appalling. It is very clear Electrolux does not care or want to assist us in any way. I wonder if Kelly Ripa would have had any luck in my situation. I should give her a call.

Here’s our story about Electrolux and the problems this company has caused in our lives. As innocent consumers who are in the RIGHT we will be exploring every way to get our story heard.

Electrolux refrigerator dff40

Purchased this unit on 18/04/2004, it was giving good
service till mid of 2009, but now it becomes an
headache, it develops a fault that is un repairable or
not properly understood by the team of your engineers
& mechanics. The complaint is as under;
* Once the unit DFF-40 stops at the set temperature
it does not take restart automatically even after a
long time gap & the temp rises & destroy the food
stored inside.
* The complaint was made to Customer Care, no body
came for few days but in the mean time we notice
that when we restart the unit from the mains, it
starts working. We make it a habit to restart from
the mains, every time it stops.
* On the visit of your engineer we gave the feed-back,
it took weeks for him to decide the course of action.
First he requested to keep the unit shut/off-line for
48 hours but this dose does not improve the behavior
/ health of the unit and the problem continues. Then
he changes the SSR on cost but it does not work. Next
time he took the PCB for check-up to your service
center and got it repaired, on cost. But with his each
effort, the problem worsened.
* Now the unit is without any heart-beats, even our
personal emergency calls to your service engineer does
not get any attention. Once he told us that the nature
of complaint has been sent to company & he is waiting
for instructions and a visit by other engineers. For
your information we are still waiting for that moment.
* Please arrange some help to revive the unit or make
arrangements to dispose off the body.
* If you think the unit have a life-span of Five years
only then please make a point to print it in your
literature for the benefit of the would be customers.
* Awaiting your reply.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mr Aurora. I too am facing the same problem with my DFF-40 (bought in April 2005 at Vijay sales Mumbai) for the last 2 months. The company engineer has come by 4 times & NOW finally says that because this model is no longer being manufactured, the spare parts i.e the PCB board & the sensors, in my case, are NOT available! What am I to do? No refigerator can be called old after only 7 years of usage ! So ELECTROLUX, please do something.

Electrolux defective product

I purchased a Frigidaire/Electrolux dishwasher in November of 2009. It lasted for about a week and began making a terrible noise. The noise was coming from an electric motor. I had the dealer replace the machine with a new dishwasher which was the same Frigidair model. I installed the new one. It began making the same noise in just a few weeks. I did an internet search to find a lot of people had the same problem. I called the manufacturer and they offered a repair. Since I had replaced the dishwasher once and had the same problem, I wanted a refund. The manufacturer refused. My only choice was to take a day off of work to meet a repairman at my home. I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing a Frigidaire dishwasher. These are shoddy products. If you are busy like I am, you won't want to take time off work and deal with a repairman who could care less about respecting your home or your personal schedule. BUYER BEWARE!

Electrolux vitesse all surface vacuum cleaner

Having attempted to persevere with this machine for a few months, I have finally come to the conclusion it is unusable.

It has a design fault at the point where the hose enters the dirt collection box: that is, it gets clogged up because there is insufficient clearance allowed at the entry point. This means that one gets about 2 uses of the machine before it will not pick up at all. When blocked it requires taking the collection box off to unblock that end, and also one has to unscrew the hose to clear the other end. Time consuming and frustrating.

Electrolux claim that it is up to the customer to wash the filter every week. I have brushed it regularly, which should be more than enough. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous.

The customer services woman who responded to my complaint was not helpful at all..."We have sold 3 million of this model and never had a complaint". Unbelievable!

I recommend that noone touches this machine or this company.

Electrolux bad product

I purchased the Electrolux 2-1 pronto approx. two years ago and it has already quit working. It will not take a charge. This is a defective product. It is a piece of junk! I am requesting at least half of my money back; I paid approx. 99.00, but of course, do not have the receipt after this long of time. Electrolux should do right by people and refund their money or at least part of it. I would appreciate hearing from a representative of your company.

Electrolux ovens

We bought a high end electrolux high speed oven and matching self cleaning oven and with in 6 months the high speed oven didn't work. We phoned to have it repaired under their 1 year warranty but they said the warranty is invalid because we took the sticker off inside the oven door that has the serial number on it. I've also took the sticker off of the self cleaning oven so they said we will not have a warranty on it either. Why would you put a sticker inside an oven door[ that did not say to not remove] with the heat of the oven? There is no other place on the oven that has the serial number- we have the model number with our receipt but they say that will not cover the warranty. Is there any else we can do? Doreen Smith @ [protected] [ Plus they want us to pay 500.00 for parts ordered and to pay for the service call.]

Wish I read more about Electrolux before buying--I regret my purchases.
Their products seem designed well with user in mind.
I purchased two different high end appliances:
High Speed Wall Oven (model E30So75FPS)
Professional Wall Oven (model E3oEW75EPS).
I have had problems from the start but Electrolux phone customer service is horrible.
I gave up for awhile but finally got them to issue warranty service.
Our wall oven does not heat evenly & the High Speed oven sparks and is literally scorching the metal housing sometimes sending lightning bolts thru the unit as it operates.
Both of the appliances I purchased have significant problems.
I've had their "top rated" warranty service techs out multiple times.
Multiple service techs state can't be fixed & need to be replaced.
Electrolux refuses to act after their techs & engineers determine can't be fixed in the field.
We've repeated this process multiple times but Electrolux still won't approve replacement.
One engineer told me to avoid baking pastries and then it won't seem so bad--are they NUTS!
1) I don't bak pastries. 2) If I wanted to I should be able to do so.
I was promised I'd have an answer in 2 days & the service tech would personally fight this battle for me--I didn't need to do anything. It's been more than a week and I'm days away from the end of my warranty period and no one will return my calls.

Electrolux has deplorable service and doesn't back up their product---but they are great at taking your money!
Unless you have money to burn & time to waste don't buy Electrolux products.

Electrolux poor quality in product & service

I purchased a Electrolux Oxygen3 February 2007. In January 2008 the left wheel broke off. I took it in for warranty repairs . It took 8 weeks to repair and many very frustrating phone calls to get it back. I had to purchase a smaller unit to get me by while this one was being repaired. When I got the unit back the wheel was very tight and did not move as easily as the right wheel and the retrackable cord no longer worked correctly. I was so frustrated at this point and did not want to take it back in for repairs again. Now the same wheel has broke again in the same way as before and it is just out of warranty.
The store in New Iberia has the poorest customer service I have ever experienced! Adrain (one of the managers) says he will look into how he can help and then he never returns calls. I am always put on hold for 15-20 minutes each time I call. 99% of the sales people in this store are very rude. I will NEVER purchase anything from Conn's again and I will encourage everyone I come in contact with to do likewise.

Electrolux extended warranty

I have been paying for an extended warranty on a refrigerator for 13 years. My icemaker is no longer operational and they no longer make the replacement part. After 2+ months, they finally agreed to pay 70% of a new refrigerator. I bought a comparable unit, sent them all of my paperwork and continue to get a royal runaround! Service? I don't think so. I have never been treated so poorly and will be amazed if they ever send me a check.

Save your money - and don't deal with Electrolux!

Electrolux customer service

purchased six electrolux icon appliances for my kitchen. Both the icemaker and the 36" gas range cooktop are defective out of the box. Icemaker doesn't make ice and the gas range has a gas leak and is unusable. For 2 months I have been promised repair then replacement by various supervisors. Still same broken products. This is the worst customer service I have ever been involved with.

I have had their appliance repair services out 4 times for the same problem and it is still not fixed...and the refrigerator is not even 1 1/2 year old yet! The service people asked me for my owner's manual because they were not familiar with Electrolux appliances!
I spoke with another customer service rep last night about the on going ice maker problem and asked for a supervisor to call me and so far I have not heard from them.
Please people, do not buy Electrolux appliances. You will be sorry.

I've had similar experience with Electrolux service.
It's hard to conceive that any company could have worse service.
I've also discovered to my dismay that their authorized service techs (independent companies)
suffer terrible problems with Electroclux too.

On the flip side I've discovered that Sub Zero has FANTASTIC service.
Purchasing a Zub Zero frig was a huge investment for us but their design was the only one that worked for me.
I never would have worried about the expense had I known Sub Zero has such GREAT service.
They were spectacular in helping with installation due to design issues with our cabinetry.
They know me the minute I call and offer additional tips and support I didn't know would help or think to ask.
Every company should emulate Sub Zero's customer support.
Sub Zero has won a customer for life.

On the dark side is Electrolux--they seem determined to avoid any support of any kind whatsoever and they torture you in the process by transferring you all over the place only to get back to the same mean operator.
If you haven't purchased Electrolux you're lucky--stay that way and avoid problems by avoiding Electrolux.

Electrolux bad product, bad service

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned! My dishes won't come clean at all unless I run it at the "Ultimate Scrub" setting that runs for over 2 hours! Think of the energy we are wasting. Even then, I get a couple of dishes that don't come clean. I have to practically wash everything before loading this thing. I have been putting up with this for over a year. I finally called Electolux (the manufacturer) and they say it's not thier problem. I have to contact Best Buy again and schedule another service. Best Buy has been wonderful so far. They come out repeatedly to try different things to try and get this thing to perform better and they have finally told me that there really isn't anything they can do other than give me another one just like it. I will never buy another product made by Electolux! I advise you to check and see who is the manufacturer for your products when considering appliances in the future. Electolux manufactures for a lot of the companies who just put thier name on it and you are stuck with the worst products I have ever seen.

Electrolux poor product quality and pathetic after sales

I had purchased an Electrolux Microwave oven with grille and convection a month back from Reliance Digital, Hyderabad. After using it rarely for 20-25 days the oven was dead. The matter was informed to Reliance Digital more than a week back but there was no results. After making further inquiries, the Reliance Digital customer care informed me that inspite of repeated complaints to Electrolux Service Center in Hyderabad they did not bother to send anybody to check the oven and they are showing don't care attitude. Reliance Digital customer care staff also requested me to contact the Electrolux Service Center in Hyderabad, directly to make further follow up.

4-5 days back, I called Electrolux Service Center in Hyderabad the so called 'customer care executive' first refused to talk in English or Hindi, and insisted that I should talk only in Telugu or Tamil (I speak none). After giving him a thrash he started talking in broken English and after talking for 10 minutes he informed me that someone will visit my house at Mahindra Hills, Hyderabad to check the matter but none turned up !

Most of the time, when I call Electrolux Service Center in Hyderabad, they either do not pick up the phone or the lines remain engaged. The Reliance Digital people are also facing the same problem.

My sincere advise, that although I have been using Electrolux products for last 20 years during living and working abroad but after this experience with Electolux in India, I will not refer anybody to make the selection of the brand due to simple reason I have experienced. As an internationally known academician, customer satisfaction expert and management consultant, I will be teaching the case of poor Electrolux after-sales service as an example of brand failure.

I purchased Electrolux hob and hood to replace my old unit. I trusted Electrolux products and so I believe what was the representation on the brochure about the KW capacity of the hob. It is supposed to be good for asian cooking etc.
But no, the design was to optimisze the gas usage and not to maximize the frame energy.
It was much worse that my earlier model. I call for service and the technicians came on separate occasion and could not solve the problem. I called the Electrolux headoffice and the sales manager was not helpful and passed the buck around. It was several months ago. I felt very frustrated on every occasion when my sister in law is cooking the meal.
I later understand that Electrolux Malaysia is locally owned now.
Their response is not forthcoming and hope that this matter just die by itself leaving me feeling a stupid fool trusting an international brand.
I will not recommend buying any Electrolux products. They are not responsive and irresponsible not to settle my case.

I purchased all four appliances from electrolux in April 2010. This will make the 16 th visit from repairmen and guess what? It's still not fixed. I know I'm one crazy person for putting up with this. I keep hoping it will get fixed once and for all. My advise to anyone wanting to purchase an electrolux item is to walk on by it. Save yourself the grief.

I am so disgusted in the customer service that I have received from your company. I have been through 2 simpson washing machines since 2008 and refuse to get a store credit so that I can buy another one. My current washing machine is giving me electric shocks and the service provider has recommended to not use this machine again. This was 8 weeks ago. I have been without a washing machine ever since. Today, I have found out that my claim has not been processed and that I will have to wait another 6 to 8 weeks for payment. NOT GOOD ENOUGH Harvey Norman Innisfail has been nothing but a nightmare as well. If you do not want me to go to Current Affair with my complaint, I would if I was you do something about this as soon as possible. I AM ONE VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

Electrolux no response

I purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator DFF40 in year 2006. The Door bottle holder rack developed a crack and a complaint no. CHD5I [protected] was lodged at the Chandigargh service center of the company. No response has been recd after 3 weeks of complaint and on my checking with their Ludhiana office, have been told that Electrolux does not provide any parts for the imported units by them. I was not told this at the time of purchase nor written in their brochure.

Their customer service is worse than their product.

Electrolux not satisfied with the product

Not at all satisfied with the product, within a 2 years of purchase of electrolux refrigerator, the timer stopped working and contacted service centre and i was asked to pay the charges for replacement of the timer & service chgs. I paid the same and got it repaired. Then again after 5 months the same problem occured and again i was asked to pay the amount as seervice chgs & parts (Timer) replacement chgs and i was told that the guarantee of the same is just 3 months, which is not at all acceptable to me and again now on 23. 04. 08 is creating same problem (My refrigerator is not cooling) . I don't understand, how come the product of such a reputed international company's product gets defected within such a short time & and then asked to pay again & again and the lesson of guarantee is taught to the customer. It is really disgusting and not acceptable & i wish to throw it from the top floor. As on trying contacting the concern person of electrolux service centre, i was said that they are helpless and don't care if we complaint to the company.

I had purchased an Electolux AC in April 2006. That same year, the remote control of the AC stopped working. I called up the customer support number and a representative finally showed up after more than a week and repeated calls. He told us that they do not have the inventory of this remote control. Instead he replaced it with a used remote control and promised to provide us with a new remote control as soon as they have one in stock. I have kept following them on this ever since.

THIS IS AFTER TWO YEARS THAT I STILL RECEIVE THE SAME REPLY THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE A REMOTE CONTROL IN THEIR STOCK I WOULD ADVISE ALL OF YOU NOT TO BUY ANY GOODS FROM ELECTOLUX. THEY ARE THE CHEATERS OF THE WORST KIND.

I have the same problems as everybody else. Our icemaker never worked properly, it would drip drip drip, we had a repair man come out to fix it several times. It never got fixed properly. Then the icemaker quit working altogether. Recently the water has stopped working. Along time ago the display lights malfunctioned and would only show half of the number And now this morning our entire fridge is dead! We've only had it for about five years and spent about $2400 on it! It makes me sick!

We too have problems with our 2 year old French door Electrolux refrigerator. We have had problems with the ice maker leaking, not making ice, several expensive visits from repairmen who fix problem ay hand only to have another in a month or two. Recently the whole unit shut down and we had to call an electrician to replace the circuit breaker. We paid over $3, 000 for the refrigerator and we have probably paid well over another $1, 000 in costly repairs. I hasten to add that my 23 year old refrigerator is still functioning in our garage as a back up for soft drinks etc. and has never had a repair in 23 years! Thank goodness we did not dispose of it as it now serves as our emergency refrigerator each time the Electrolux fails. We are very disappointed and will never buy Electrolux again!

I purchased an Electrolux Refrigerator (Serial No. 4A91615417 / French doors, ice maker in door, freezer below) which was delivered on May 24, 2010. The warranty was not purchased because I felt that the unit should work for more than 5-10 years without a problem. The ice maker never worked. It was not reported until the general warranty on the appliance was up. Electrolux provided an ice maker without cost. However, I had to pay for a motor. On June 3, puddles of water started appearing on my floor. I contacted a repair company, they ordered a sensing unit for the door. The unit was installed on June 12, 2013. On June 29, 2013, water is beginning to puddle on my floor again. The floor is beginning to show signs of wear from the water. I do not feel that I should be having all these problems. Something should be done to correct the problem. Electrolux was contacted on June 29, 2013 to report the problem. The representative said that nothing could be done for me. The refrigerator has had many problems. A new refrigerator will probably have to be purchased. I would not recommend an Electrolux Refrigerator.

I too bought an Electrolux refrigerator in 2010. It was a French door type with icemaker in the door. The icemaker has never worked correctly even after repeated visits from a repair person. The main board went out two weeks ago. The repair man fixed it, but now the ice maker does not work (yet again) and must return. I asked Electrolux to buy back my unit and they refused using the guise that because I was under extended warranty they would not do anything. Here's are my suggestions:
1. Don't buy Electrolux appliances.
2. If you ignore this warning make sure you buy the extended warranty. (turns out it is a fraction of the actual repair costs)
3. When the warranty runs out, plan to buy a new refrigerator.

Poulos LoPiccolo, in conjunction with Nagel Rice, recenlty filed in the E.D.N.Y., Docket No. 12-2397, a class action lawsuit against Electrolux for defective ice makers. Allegations include defects that causes the refrigerators to have a faulty control panel, fails to produce ice (despite advertising that one can have “ice at your fingertips”), and water leaks that damages the structures and sub...structures below the refrigerator. The complaint also contends that the ice maker requires numerous service calls, repairs, and upgrades without correcting the defect. The defect exists in the Electrolux Icon French Door and Side-by-Side refrigerators, among others. If you have experienced any of these problems, please contact us at info@pllawfirm.com.

We purchased our Electrolux fridge in March, 2011. The motherboard went out 4 month later and was replaced. The ice maker never made ice properly after that and finally stopped working altogether 4 months later. Repairmen came out adjusted a couple of things and tried to get hold of Electrolux Tech support, but after a couple hours he had to give up because no one ever picked at Electrolux. 3 months later the ice maker stopped working altogether and it sprung a leak. The repairmen came out again, got hold of Tech support and found out the original motherboard installed 7 month earlier was the wrong type for my model and apparently caused the filter to freeze and bust and that was the reason the ice maker never worked properly. The repairman said since the motherboard probably caused the filter to crack, he would try to get me another free filter. After another week the repairman repaired the Motherboard, but he said that the filter wasn’t covered. He said we should try to call Electrolux explain that the fridge malfunctioned and caused my filter to crack. After an exhausting call to Electrolux, I finally gave up getting the filter. If this is the problems of owning an Electrolux for a year with a warranty, we can hardly wait to see what is in store for us in the future.

Electrolux defective washing machine on purchase

I used to be a proud owner of a 6.5 kgs maxclean washing machine which i purchased way back in 2001.
Since it started giving me problems, i decided to go for an aqua fabriguard 6.2 kgs model in exchange of the old one.The aqua model was purchased by me on the 16 th of March from New Khosla Electronics, kolkata -47.The same was installed by your kolkata service engineer Mr.Indrajit on the 25 th.The spin tub of the new Aqua machine did not work and hence he suggested a machine replacement for which i agreed.I had to make repeated calls to your kolkata office and talked to many people whose names i have mentioned below;

Mr.P.Dey - M/S Varsha Refreigeration systems

Mr.Mukul Roy Choudhury-M/S Varsha Refreigeration systems

Mr.Vijayan -Electrolux india

IT was after a lot of heated arguments from the dealers as well as the companys side that i was offered an older model TURBO machine of the same capacity .I agreed to receive the old model in place of the new one.
A turbo 6.2.kgs was delivered to me on friday the 28th.The service engineer who came to install it today declared the machine defective.Mr.Sriram Saha declared that the machine had a broken drain channel. He suggested another replacement.

I have lost faith in the company, its employees and its products. It looks like the company is bent on cheating people of their hard earned money. My sincere request to you is to refund the money (rs.5000/-) i.e.the cost of the machine and also Rs.1000 which i have incurred due to the phone calls made to your different employees at different branches..This incident has caused severe mental stress and trauma for which i have suffered a lot.
For your info, i have registered a complaint with core centre, which is official site for complaints and grievances ofthe Ministry of Consumer Affairs .
I would expect a reply and a speedy action from you within the next 24 hours failing which i will be forced to take the matter further.

Electrolux poor quality product!

I purchased two ac's of electrolux a month back.During installation it was noticed that one of the ac had broken Swing Clip which was immediately brought to the notice of the dealer and to the engineers who came to give demo. Its been over a month even after regular complaints of same to dealer and company no follow up has been there.

There is no after sale service from the company. With this kind of Brand it is shameful that these companies cheat their customers.
