Frigidaire oven vent

The stove and oven work well so far; installed two months ago. I needed bisque color and options are very limited. The oven vent design is poor. The heat from vent blows in your face if your standing in front of appliance while the oven is on. Company states this is the way it is made and will not let customers speak to technical dept. I filed a review at frigidaires site but it isn't posted Model # FFGF3023LQ

Frigidaire ice maker

The tech came out 4 times to fix my ice maker. And it still not fix only had my frigidaire refrigerator 7 months and been having problem with the ice maker ever since. The tech was suppose to call me back but never did. They are the worst company to deal with. Very unprofessional. And the tech does not know how to fix it.

Frigidaire potato sensor didn't shut off.. fire

On tuesday, may 12, 2015, I put a potato in the microwave, pressed the "potato" button on the automatic sensor, after a few minutes I smelled smoke, checked the microwave and the potato was on fire. The microwave was black inside, and no longer worked. My house was full of smoke.
I am writing this complaint after reading several other complaints on the same issue. The potato sensor does not shut off. This is a fire hazard, and I have not yet reported it to my insurance. This sounds like a recall issue. Do something before someone's house burns down and/or someone gets burned. I got this microwave in 2008. It has rarely been used, as I generally reside in a second home. I thought it was just the age of the microwave, but after reading several other complaints identical to mine. Odd eh? This needs to be resolved immediately.

Frigidaire non existent customer service

Called frigidaire customer service (Cs) department. After waiting on line for 10-20 minutes each call, I was finally transferred to a supervisor. This process took 1 hour and 40 minutes. Everytime I asked to speak to a supervisor, the person insisted on helping me. When I told them I wanted a supervisor because I had a complaint against an employee in their cs department, they would put me on "hold". What they really were doing was placing me back in the phone query from the very beginning. Waiting again for the same cs department. This didn't happen just once but 6 (Sis) separate times. 1:40 minutes wasting my time. I will never purchase a frigidaire product again. Horrible cs

Frigidaire ice maker

Purchased the above Frigidaire refrigerator December 2012. I noticed that there is at least 1 other complaint about this same model on this forum. The ice maker stopped dumping ice but continues to dispense water. Causing a flood of water out of the front of the refrigerator. I called a service technician and he informed me that this is a known problem with this type of ice maker and I should contact Frigidaire/Electrolux. I contacted Electrolux customer service and was informed they would do nothing to back their product. I completely understand that things fail but in such a new product AND a known flaw, I feel Electrolux should stand behind their product and fix it. That's all I want. I can't believe that they refuse to do anything to make this right. I guess my next step is to try to get in on the class action law suit.
STAY AWAY FROM FRIGIDAIRE/ELECTROLUX.

Since November 2011, I've had the repair man out for my refrigerator FGHB2844LF5 four times. The first time they said the compressor needed to be vacummed at a cost of $130, the second time they said it was a control board $289.00, the third the ice maker came apart and was $400 and now I'm getting the EY CF error which again all info on the internet says control board again! Really, this is pathetic. Fridge costs $800 and I've so far in 4 years put that much back into it? Last time I buy a fridgedaire!

Frigidaire replacement value

I purchased a Frigidaire microwave with extended warranty. They sent a technician out to check a problem with the door and promptly said they would send me the amount that I paid for it. Sounded good except that I still had 2 years left on the warranty and they said they had fulfilled their part of the contract and that I would have to purchase another extended warranty to cover the new unit when I buy it. When purchasing a warranty for 4 years it should be good for 4 years. If you have a warranty on a new car and you have a problem with it they don't cancel the remaining warranty. It is for the full warranty period.. You don't have to buy a new warranty for the car and neither should you for an appliance. Further more to purchase that same microwave it will cost me another $70 because of the price increase since I purchased the first one. Oh, and I'll have to install it myself and I'm still waiting for the voucher or check to arrive in the mail.

I pretty much expressed my view of my experience with Frigidaire's warranty policy. I think it was pretty clear and seems very logical to me and I'm sure to most people. I'll be glad to hear form you on this issue again.

Frigidaire refrigerator

Bought a frigidaire 3 years ago, but after 14 months it died - had a leak and wouldn't stay cold. Would have been $800 to repair. Called Frigidaire and had to badger customer service into doing something. Out of one year warranty but shouldn't a product work for longer than 14 months?! Apparently they agreed because they gave me a rebate of a few hundred dollars towards the purchase of another unit, I bought one for $925. Bad mistake. 16 months later, I have ANOTHER fridge with a leak, and spoiled food. I called customer service...they can't have an authorized repair person here for two days. Bye Bye food. And they haven't even guaranteed to pay for the fix...they have to "see" what's what first. My repair guy (who is so great he didn't even charge me to take a look) says it's a leak and the part where it's leaking is aluminum and can't be fixed, only replaced. At least $300 for parts, more for labor. The fridge was only $925. Better just to buy another...uh, didn't I JUST GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS NOT EVEN 2 YEARS AGO! MY GOD! This company sucks. This is the shoddiest manufacturing and product I have ever had. I have another fridge that has worked for 20 years. This brand? No bueno. Horrible, horrible product. DON'T BUY IT!

Frigidaire poor service n inefficient staff

I bought a 25ltr convection on 13th Jan. I was provided with a misprinted users manual that is completely a big mistake made by the company. We R just fed up with their service becoz even after complaining so...so...many times they have failed to provide a right manual n a proper demo. Every time I complained they only mislead. I'm not even provided with the grill rack. The dealer says to register the complaint in the customer care and customer care says to complaint to the dealer n now they have become silent. Irresponsible, misleading staff and service. I have no trust left for this company.

Frigidaire I will never buy another thing from frigidaire

Purchased Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator, double wall oven, and dishwasher thinking I was getting a higher end product. I was completely wrong. We have had every appliance worked on since purchasing. Oven heating unit went out, circuit board in dishwasher went out, and the refrigerator has had more problems than I can even go into but have replaced coil, circuit board, and icemaker worked on at least 4 times. We have replaced everything needed and refuse to put any more money into these POS appliances. The refrigerator/ freezer icemaker leaking all over my hardwood floors and have buckled even before I could get the water turned off. The customer service has been absolutely the worst. I will NEVER purchase another product of theirs and just want everyone to think twice before purchasing anything from Frigidaire/ Electrolux! Money Down the drain. Consumer BEWARE! Awful decision!

Frigidaire range

Purchased a home in 2011 that had new appliances included with the sale price - still had packaging on the appliances - had a fire in the oven as the heating coil is defective and was cracked in a number of places - very brittle. Customer Service Reps are useless as they claim that they need the purchase receipt as I could have gotten this anywhere - regardless this company should be standing behind their products. I will be contacting them everyday as well as the Better Business Bureau until I am satisfied with end result which would be to have it repaired at their expense to make sure that there is nothing wrong with this oven - this could have burned down my house and no one seems to be taking ownership of this issue

Frigidaire failure to honor warranty; manufacturing defect.

Manufacturing defect caused failure of parts. A coating to prevent rust of supporting structural members failed, either through an incomplete coating of the underlying material or the underlying material was improperly prepared to receive the protective coating.

The attached photographs show only one of the affected parts, however the defect is observable in several other places on different component parts.

While the warranty does not cover "rust, " it certainly ought to cover the cause of the rusted parts. The underlying cause of the problem shown here is either improper manufacturing technique or manufacturing defect. The unit has been in service since March 2013 (Less than 18 months) but i purposely bought a five year extended warranty to protect myself from "hidden damage" that may not appear within the warranty period. I believe these defects fit that category and the company should be liable for the replacement of all affected parts.

Thank you,

Howard E. Milliren

Mr. Polk,

Thank you for your response.

I fully appreciate not providing a warranty against rust but that is not the basis of my complaint. The rust shown in the pictures is due to a failure in the manufacturing process. There are three possibilities. One, the parts were not "prepped" properly before the protective coating was applied. Two, an improper application of the protective coating resulted in rusting of the underlying material. Third, and in my opinion the least likely, the protective coating failed. None of the failures observed occurred at a point where friction may be a primary factor. I base my conclusions on twenty plus years of experience as a Manufacturing and Quality Engineer with significant results in failure analysis.

However, the fact remains the rust resulted from a manufacturing process error causing the part(s) to fail. The rust did not cause the failure.

A final word - please train your customer service personnel to listen and evaluate a complaint instead of responding like one of Pavlov's dogs to a word, in this case, "rust."

Frigidaire dead again and less than 3 years old!

Once your very short warranty is up, beware, frigidare products won't last long! Very poor quality, zero support! Beware of frigidare company and their garbage products! We bought a new similar frigidaire dishwasher at bestbuy on november of 2010, within the first 7 months we had three service calls and two washer motor assemblies replaced and it always leaks water. The unit has failed again and is less than 4 years old! (Our previous whirlpool lasted 20 years before the baskets rusted and replacements were too expensive, but the whirlpool ran~!) I called frigidaire corp office to complain that this is obvious a lemon due to the same failure now 3 times and they just brushed me off essentially saying tough luck, should have bought an extended service plan! What kind of c* does this company make that it can't even last 4 or 5 years! But after reading many of these other postings on the consumer affairs website, I realized that mine isn't a lemon, everything frigidaire makes is c* and a lemon! I'd warn you as a consumer, don't ever buy any frigidaire product no matter how attractive the price!

Frigidaire bad service / lots of attitude

This is the second one of these I have bought. First one broke suddenly after a year, since I had not kept the receipt, I put it down to bad luck, went to Harvey's and bought a new one. This time I asked about warranty etc and was told it had 2 years. It, like the last one, suddenly stopped working.I though, no way, it is only used for my kitchen area, so not over worked as I have a big vacuum for the rest of the house.Went to Harvey's & spoke to a 50 something sales lady who was a bit aggressive from the onset. I told her my story of events & said I think the product sucks. She said what did I expect after a year? I said for $200 something that worked. She huffed & puffed said if they assessed it and it was a major fault it would be repaired and returned, if it was found to be a minor fault, this would also be repaired and returned.I stated I understand policy but am not happy to have this back-my faith in this product is now a bit doubtful.I was told she would speak to the rep, why should they refund me my problems with electro lux not them.I then asked to speak with head office contact or a manager-no details were forthcoming. Only when I said to a customer beside me that I'd classify a broken vacuum as a major fault did a senior person approach me.I said that all want is a refund in store to buy a different brand & he said if they find I have not abused the goods they can try but again nothing in writing.I think after sales service is terrible, I was treated like I was a pest, and got the impression they though I was out of line to complain. My paperwork was returned with the phone number of the rep from electrolux...Guess I never paid Harvey's for it?Oh yes sales lady calmly stated they were not responsible I should deal with electro lux...why should Harvey's take responsibility? I told her that since they took my $200 I thought I was dealing with Harvey, s...but then again, maybe not, I was dealing with Robin Hood & Co? Next time I will spend my money elsewhere...

Frigidaire e15 error code - cooktop not working

Our family somehow survived the May 2011 F5 Joplin tornado and we lost practically everything. After a long miserable year of misery, we ended buying a new home. For all we had gone through, and learning the advantages of induction, we treated ourselves to a Electrolux free standing range, model# EW30IF60ISB (Serial# VF20555683) in August 2012 for $2300+ . It worked great until a month (May 2014) back until a E15 error code showed and since, it would not let you do anything on the cooktop. So we are without a range for a month now. The authorized repair guy talked to the Electrolux service tech and they said they don't have much idea why this has happened nor have they heard about this problem (please check webistes about numerous complaints for E15 error code) and needless to say the only way as per the repair guy (by the way a real nice guy) is to keep replacing the electronic board until the problem is solved by guess work. I have already replaced the UIB and Relay board (as per manual) but no solution yet, the next may be the entire touch screen panel in the front. By the time the range is repaired by guess work it will over $1200 cost (about 50% of new one). I have no choice but to discard this range replace it with some other brand. This is also a story of how Electrolux ruined our family's upcoming vacation by diverting our hard earned saved money to buy a replacement range- isn't much fun cooking with one portable electric cooktop and microwave. Thank you Electrolux.

It's true, Frigidaire products are not made like they were before but the costs are up, someone is making lots of $$.
I bought the electric freestanding stove, over $1, 000 all in, model CGEF3055MF, serial #VF44393527 in Jan. /15, I got the F11 error inDec. 2017, the repair guy charged me $480 all in. Now in Sept. 2019 it is F11 error again, repair guy is giving me a break and taking $70.00 off. I called the poor service guy at Frigidaire, he does what he can over a 20 minute call but he offers about the same as the repair guy in 2017. The product is poorly made if you look on youtube you will see many many others complaining about the stove, something about 'overuse' of some 'glue'. I am going back to buying used appliances as I did up until recently, at least you don't pay so much and the repairs cost the same. My Bosch dish washer is about 10 years old, no problems, I say pay a little more if you need new and get a reliable appliance, not these cheaply made costly to buy models.

We purchase a brand new induction/convection stove, It was not cheap the lights keep coming on in the middle of the night. Electrolux and sent 6 new stove tops and everyone has been damaged. I told them they must not care about their FedEx bill. Six times we have had a repair man and six times they have stated clearly that the
stove top was damaged. Electrolux keeps referring me to Home Depot where we purchased this stove. Home Depot says I need to speak with Electrolux. We just want another stove or a different one from HD. We meet with the store Mgr. tomorrow so we will see. I will never buy anything made by Electrolux again EVER!

This is in reference to my conversation with you regarding the replacement of the Electrolux 0.8 ton AC.
It is with immense dissatisfaction that I am hereby forwarding the details of the proceedings that took place.

I had bought this videocon AC through Times internet Ltd vide invoice No [protected], order No 2246323 on 12/05/09
With in one month of buying this, the AC stopped functioning totally.
After which I spoke to Indiatimes and they forwarded me the number of direct videocon call center.
After speaking to them, I was promised that some duty engineer would come and visit us as soon as possible. After repeated calls, and going from pillar to post, finally an engineer from Apollo, Tagore garden came to inspect and said that there is some leakage in the AC air and that it could be repaired. Since I had just bought that AC, I told them to replace it and not repair. But on their constant perusal, I agreed upon it. After a week passed by the AC again stopped functioning and this time again the engineer came and said that there is some problem with the valve or something. He also said that we would replace it as soon as possible
Seeing that nothing is happening and it has already been more than three months since this saga was continuing, I again started calling the call centers, when I was told that you could help me.
It’s been at least 4-5 times since we have spoken within past 3 months and every time an engineer visits, asks for the photocopy of the invoice, promises that the AC will be replaced as soon as possible but nothing really happens. You yourselves know the pain and trauma I have been through talking to almost 10 -15 of your companys employees and literally begging them to do the needful

I am also attaching herewith the scanned copy of my invoice, sign of engineer Mr. Harish, and another copy of videcon center engineer’s visit.

With this I would like to mention here that I have been a regular customer with the videocon and the internet times as I really thought of these organizations to take care of the feedback and the responses of the customers
However, with the present attitude I am really sad and depressed more than being angry. I hope you can rectify, if not make up for the delay and the agony I have been through and replace the AC as soon as possible

I bought a new house 2 years ago with a kitchen full of Frigidaire Professional Series appliances. Recently the oven convection fan started to sound like an aircraft engine. The entire fan assembly has been replace along with the motor - it now only sounds like a semi truck in my kitchen. The repair tech called Frigidaire from my house and was told that is the way it is so she'll have to live with it! This is the third appliance that has been problematic. The gas range burners still don't work properly, after 3 attempts to repair. After only one year, I replaced the dishwasher with a Bosch, which I love. There will never be another Frigidaire appliance in my house.

We complained 4 times about our washing machine to customer services. The machine never cleaned the clothes properly. It did not take soil off the clothing. It maid the clothing smell like mildew. If we used bleach on a load of whites, it would leave bleach blotches on the next load of laundry. The technicians sent to fix the machine replaced two parts. Twice when they came out for service calls they did not fix it and told us that we were using the wrong amount of soap. I was not using the wrong amount of soap. I can follow the book instructions. I hate this washing machine. The company is refusing to replace it even though it has never worked properly. I WILL NEVER BUY AN ELECTROLUX AGAIN. DO NOT BUY AN ELECTROLUX WASHING MACHINE. I WISH I HAD NOT BOUGHT ONE.

I purchased an upright freezer on line 18/08/12. It was delivered 21/08/12. Three weeks ago I got up and found the whole contents defrosted. They have refused to refund the cost of my wasted food (about £100). An engineer came out after 2 days and told me he didn't do refrigeration so another engineer would call the following weeK! 4 days later one came out and said it needed a part which wasn't in stock. After numerous calls to Comet and Trading Standards I had a call yesterday to say the freezer had been written off and I could have a replacement. I told them I didn't want a replacement I wanted a refund which they agreed I could have. They arranged to collect the broken freezer on Saturday and the money should be in my a/c in 4-5 days.On the strength of that information I ordered a new freezer from another company as I work permanent nights and am fed up running to the shops everyday for food. In the post today is a form to take to my local Comet to get a replacment. I called Comet AGAIN and was told I can't have a replacment. I am now waiting AGAIN for someone to call me back. Comet are rubbish and their customer service is non existent.

In the spring of 2007, the back of the fridge made an horrible noise and slowly the temperature in the fridge/freezer dropped and then completely died. The compressor (after only 4 years!) had to be completely replaced! Very expensive part!

Now, in August 2007, a few months later our stove just completely stopped working. We can not bake anything, only the stove-top works. We had the elements tested and they aren't the problem so once AGAIN, we have to have someone come and open the back of our appliance and preform service for what we are told is probably a hot device which is a minimum of $200 + service.

We regret not paying the extra for KitchenAid appliances!

I had two electrolux refrigerator model numbers ei28bs56isf,
I believe both of them being the same model. We brought the first one about
three years ago in November, they both had an ice dispenser in the door along
with a water dispenser . The first ice dispenser started acting up about a year
and an half later and it took me over a half a dozen calls to electrolux until
they decided to give me a replacement refrigerator. That is also including the
first service call that I had to pay for, in which the same problem happen
about a month later, but the repair company fixed it the second time for free,
Also the repair person told me that they have problems with that model. I had to tell them that I was going to sue them for selling a defected product. and
electrolux customer service got MAD at
me for tell her it was junk. After the
second replacement came it worked like a charm, when a year and a half later
the same thing happen. Didn't
electrolux say since we DIDN'T take out
a extended warranty they weren't responsible for it, but since it was so new
they would pay for the part, but we have to pay for the labor. That seems like
an admission of responsibility to me. Several
weeks later the second refrigerator DIED ON US. JUST QUIT RUNNING. We went out
an got another refrigerator with a different
brand name. I would never ever buy electrolux again. Also we had an electrolux dishwasher that
quit 14 months after we brought it too. And guess what we have a dryer from them that is acting up
now. I contacted my U.S. Representative in D.C. but they didn't seem
to care about it.

Frigidaire poor quality appliance, even poorer customer service

I have an Electrolux EWX14450W Washer/Dryer that came with my new-build flat when I purchased it in October 2011. A few weeks ago the appliance stopped working mid-cycle (drying) and has shown no sign of life ever since. It would appear that the electrics have gone as the digital display no longer works and the machine is completely unusable.

I am single, spend a lot of time away from home and do not use the appliance that much. I would be amazed if the machine has been through 500 cycles and yet it is now useless. I appreciate that you may get the odd duff machine that doesn't live up to the normal lifespan that is expected of it, but it was Electrolux's lack of correspondence that I really wanted to complain about. I sent a polite email outlining the problem to their customer service team via a web form on their site over a fortnight ago and I am still waiting for any form of reply. I have emailed their CEO Keith McLoughlin directly to complain about the lack of response from their customer service team - that was a week ago, again, no reply.

How can a company the size of Electrolux get away with such shockingly poor customer service? I have been waiting for some sort of response from them, even if it was only to tell me 'hard luck you're out of warranty, on your way' but I have heard nothing whatsoever, so frustrating. I'm going to order a new machine later this week, and I can assure you it will not be an Electrolux. I would also urge anyone reading this to give Electrolux products an extremely wide berth too.

Frigidaire repeated and failed repair attempts

Purchased a Gallery French door refrigerator on 2/18/14. On 3 /11, ice began forming on the rear wall. The repairman adjusted the water fill tube. The very next day, the same problem occured and he again adjusted the fill tube. On April 22, the ice maker stopped working and on April 24, the water inlet valve was replaced. The next day, the fridge was making a loud vibration and still no ice and water frozen on the rear wall again. Technician ordered a new ice maker which is going to be installed today. Upon contacting Frigidaire, I was told they would not consider a replacement unless the same problem needed repair at least three times. I explained to them that the problems are all related to the ice making system but they refuse to offer assistance except to state that the consumer's concerns are being addressed through an authorized service center. Five service calls in six weeks is a sign of things to come.

Frigidaire worst after sales service

It is more than 2 weeks and still resolution not provided for my complaint with Electrolux. They said the motor is the problem initially but they replaced it but still issue is not resolved. Now they dont know what is wrong so they stop answering my calls and responding to the emails. The WM is still under warranty.

Pathetic experience.
