Electrolux washing machine model eifls60lt

Electrolux should be ashamed of the way they handled my issue with their poor quality defective machine. I want to start out by saying that I'm not upset that Electrolux would meet my request but rather the fact that they simply ignored me and refused to even respond to my emails! On May 31, 2014 I purchased Electrolux steam washer and dryer. I thought these were top of the line, high quality units that would provide us with years of trouble free service. We had them for just over 2 years when the washer (model EIFLS60LT) stopped working. An authorized service tech checked the unit and said we had major problems. He said the repair was a two man job and explained that the following parts needed to be replaced; rear tub bearing, tub “O” ring, pulley & nut, warped door hinge, spin basket, MCU (motor control unit) and the CCU (central control unit). The service tech said it was very unusual for such a young machine that is lightly used (Avg. 3 times a month) to need such a major repair.
On August 12, 2016 I sent an email to customer service to explain the situation and indicated that after the repair is completed I will basically have a refurbished machine which I thought was unacceptable. I asked that the machine be replaced. Later that same day I received an email from Brandi H. of Electrolux customer service. Brandi indicated that if the machine was repairable, that was what we had to do and she was sorry for the problem.
August 13, 2016 I again sent an email to customer service in which I again said I wanted the machine replaced considering the fact that Electrolux touts their quality and reliability. I asked for the contact information of someone in management with the authority to approve such a replacement and thanked her for her help. I received no response.
August 15, 2016 I sent another email indicating that I had not heard back from anyone and again requested the contact information. I received no response.
August 17, 2016 I again sent an email in which I indicated that it was obvious I was being intentionally being ignored and I didn't want to resort to commenting on consumer web sites as the the poor customer service provided by Electrolux. Again I received no response.
As of August 18, I haven't heard from Electrolux but did send another email to customer service. I will continue attempting to contact management to express my disappointment with how they handled this situation. As of August 19 I have yet to hear from Electrolux customer service. Shame on them! I would not recommend Electrolux to friends or family due to their poor, let me rephrase that, complete lack of customer service.

Electrolux frigidaire electric range

The control board of my stove broke, since lost the insurance on this appliance because this part is no longer being produced, I called Electrolux, they recommended RodsTV& Appliance in Riverhead, New York. This company came to my home removed the part the end of March and has refused to return it. I called, left messages send emails, no response. I hold
Electrolux responsible for their recommendation, Electrolux will do nothing
to help me. I cannot use the oven. Electrolux will never see my money again,
I would never purchase their appliances and will certainly recommend others
not purchase. Electrolux should is responsible and they should remedy this
situation

Electrolux icon refrigerator

It is infuriating that a company does not stand behind their product. The interior of my Electrolux refrigerator is falling apart. The plastic supports are cracked and broken, making the drawers sit askew. I have spoken to customer service twice... no help. When requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was kept on hold for lengthy amount of time... only to be told that no supervisor would come to the phone. No supervisor will come to the phone? Customer service? I have been told by numerous appliance retailers that Electrolux appliances are plagued with quality issues. I purchased $10, 000 in Electrolux appliances in 2012. Yes... the warranty has expired. But this is NOT acceptable. The interior portion of my refrigerator should be replaced... no questions asked. THAT is brand support and customer service. Own the fact that the there have been ongoing issues, and work to maintain a loyal customer base. THAT is good business. I am a business owner. I would expect my employees to take better care of my customers. ELECTROLUX should be ashamed! I feel a responsibility to share my feeling with whomever will listen. It's infuriating. You have certainly lost this customer... and I feel obligated to spread the word!

Electrolux front load washer / model eifls60lt

Purchased new in May 2015. Within one month starting getting very loud and vibrating during spin cycle with very small loads. Weeks later started leaking into bottom stand drawer and onto floor. Service called and revealed "spider wheel" extremely loose causing wear completely thru tub assembly. Water present on all internal wires and connectors. All new components ordered and assembled by 2 techs over 2.5 hours. I was present when technician torqued down the spider wheel to confirm it was secure. Techs commented they were "experts" at this repair. Approximately 4 weeks later noise again re-appeared and service called to reveal same problem; wheel again loose and wearing into tub assembly. This time LED display doesn't work, apparently due to severe shaking during spin. Awaiting a second heart transplant for this POS. Good news, at this rate I will always have a new washing machine as the components systematically fail almost on queue. Bad news, within a year this washer will cost Electrolux 5 times what it cost to manufacture.

Electrolux electro range, refrigerator and microwave

Who do you contact to join the class action suit or is it just a blog? I bought three stainless Electrolux appliances: the free standing Range EW30EF65GS, a beautiful ICON side by side Refrigerator E23CS78HPS and the microwave that matched. The only thing I did right in the kitchen appliance overhaul was to buy a Bosch dishwasher. All of the Electrolux appliances started to fail six weeks after delivery. I've had good service but that was because I PAID for an extended warranty

Electrolux new gallery - refrigerator / ice maker is low end - works never

Purchased NEW Frigidaire appliances(ALL) in 2012 for kitchen remodel. The Gallery French door-ice maker works for 3 months at a time. The service people came 5-6 x the first 18 months. Then I gave up and ran a h20 line to the WHIRLPOOL refrig into the garage( the former kitchen ref. ) why did I switch?
The idea was to move ice front the garage to the kitchen via a Picher and that worked for 1 yr. too much h labor - but I did it. Then the ice maker head built up condensation too large to open ice drawer...

This fk'in thing is junk and I am now of th opinion to buy anther and ship this one FREIGHT COLLECT to the Frigidaire / Electrolux Corporate office to the ATTN of the CEO. anfd then redirect it to his wifes attention at their home ..

I do not believe it is my responsibility to replace on my dime... Electroluxx/ Frigidaire _ YOUSxxUCK

Electrolux bought fridge & only worked for a week. missing parts

We have a beachhouse in the Phils, we bought an Electrolux fridge in April 14, 2014 and went back to Australia the next few days. The fridge was off the whole time while we were away. When we went back on January 12, 2015, it was making a very loud noise and not cooling/freezing at all. It was under warranty and they sent a technician in. When the technician, there were missing parts in the fridge. They then said that a replacement unit will be delivered but it has been more than a month now and still no replacement unit. Now Toledo Metro department store ( we bought the fridge from them) and Electrolux are passing our enquiries around as to when the replacement unit is delivered. I will never buy Electrolux again..

Electrolux dryer could house on fire, electrolux won't do anything!

I owned an electrolux dryer which caught fire and damaged the home I was renting. Electrolux has given a vague excuse on why not to accept claim on September 18th, 2014 my home was caught on fire by an electrolux dryer. I was able to get myself and the 3 kids out of the home safely. The home as a whole is still intact but much of what we owned was damaged due to the fire or the heavy smoke damage. I was forced to keep my family of 5 in a hotel for one of the weeks that we were homeless, and the other week I spent on the couches of friends/family while I searched for a place for us to live. I contacted Electrolux and started a claim with them as I did not have renters insurance at the time and they came out and did an evaluation of the damages/incident. I received no answer from anyone at the company for 2 weeks, and in fact called and left voice mails for their representatives to no avail. Last Friday on October 24th I emailed Gregory Hoff whom is the VP of Risk Management explaining the situation and the treatment I have received from the company. A representative of his called me on Saturday to tell me that they would not be paying out for the claim, but could not tell me what caused the fire only that "it was not something they would cover". An independent investigator, fire marshall, and fire department all determined that it was not the fault of lint build up, clogged vent hose or anything that was preventable and that it was indeeed an issue with the dryer. This particular dryer is also one that is part of the current class action suit against Electrolux for dryer fires, of which is going through settlement as I type this.

Electrolux double oven will not heat after cleaning process

I used the self cleaning process on my oven and it would not heat. I had it repaired under warranty. Now I cleaned it again..and once again it will not heat. I called the repair service and they now tell me that everytime I use the self cleaning process I will have to have it repaired. The cost will be in excess of $300.00
Is there a class action suit for these defective appliances?

Electrolux oven and f15 code

Has anyone had their Electrolux oven fixed after it showed a F15 code. My oven has been rebuilt 2 times, and I still get the F15 code making the oven inoperable. I feel like this is a problem that cannot be solved. And as any of you out their with Electrolux products know, the company is no help. They just give you the run around.

From day 1 of installing my new Electrolux oven I have had F10 and now F15 error codes with beeping. Electrolux has sent authorized repair people out at least 15 times. Every part that can be replaced has been replaced. Some parts, ie the circuit board have been replaced twice now. I am beyond furious and insist they replace the oven but Electrolux says there is no need for that. Meanwhile I have to keep buying extended warranty’s every year so they will cover any repairs. Too bad there is t a lemon law for appliances. Meanwhile I am going on Year 3 and the oven is still giving me error codes. I agree Electrolux customer service is the worst. I would not recommend an Electrolux oven at all.

Electrolux fooled by a &bargain&

Home destroyed by fire 01/2012. I tried to save money by purchasing items used for new home. 04/2012 came across a "great deal" on CL for a set of Electrolux appliances (French door fridge, double oven range and microwave). They were only 4 months old and being sold because of seller's pending divorce. The microwave was still in the box. My home was not completed until 01/2013. I had thought about purchasing warranties but never got around to it. The previous owner told me the ice maker was "tempermental"...I have never gotten it to work. About 6 months ago the freezer started icing up to the point it is difficult to open and close. I am afraid the handle is going to break off from repeated yanking by my family members. In addtiion, a few months ago, we noticed cracks in the PLASTIC handle mount of the microwave handle at the bottom. It is now so bad pieces have chipped off and the handle is actually loose. I have no idea why the handle mount would crack but I suspect it may have something to do with stream from pots on the stove top...just a theory. And why on Earth they would just plastic is beyond me, especially since the handle is the ONLY way to open and close the microwave, there is no latch or button. I have not attempted to contact Electrolux because nothing is covered under warranty (extended or otherwise).

Electrolux poor appliances

In 2009 my wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen. The highlight of the kitchen was going to be the futuristic looking appliances of Electrolux. My wife beamed as we looked at the appliances on the showroom floor, I cringed at the price tag but fell back on the old "you get what you pay for" mantra. So I shelled out $10, 000 for a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and range hood. The appliances arrived and truly were the jewel of the kitchen. The products looked great, the only problem was that other than looking beautiful they were pretty much useless. The first problems occurred with the refrigerator. It wouldn't keep a proper temperature, ice maker wouldn't work and when it did work it would leak into the door tray. I called Elextrolux and a tech was sent. Their own tech told me how lousy the appliances are. He said that they are the defunct Frigedare brand with an Elextrolux label. They replaced a circuit in the door and were on their way. Two months later the same problem occurred, also the ice maker still wasn't fixed. This time when I called a tech I was told by Electrolux that I would have to call Best Buy and they would send a tech. So in comes a guy from Best Buy to fix my refrigerator. First thing he asked me for was the manual, I knew I was in trouble right there. Four more repairs were made to the refrigerator and I finally was begging Electrolux to take it back. They did take it back and gave me a credit BUT ONLY because I was going to use the credit to by the french door version of the same refrigerator (I was hoping that our fridge was just a lemon). This new refrigerator was $3600, but I was given a $2500 credit to put towards it. Four years later the metal in the freezer is rusting and the ice maker doesn't work. Next my $1400 stove. About a year into owning the stove we noticed a burner not getting warm. Called Electrolux and a repairman came out and said the burner was faulty. He replaced the burner and we did not have any more trouble with it until this past November. The stove would turn on at random and we were unable to turn it off. Repairman came and said it was a faulty circuit board. Electrolux was not going to cover it, I got on the phone with a supervisor and after 20 minutes of explaining to her that this is a known defect in their products she agreed to pay for the repair. Today my wife went to use the stove and noticed once again the burner staying hot 2 hours after use. Called Electrolux after talking to the repairman. He said it has to be the board and to see if they offer a year warranty on the part. The rep told me that the part was covered for 90 days only and that I bought the part in November and today it is March (missed it by less than a month). I was so tired and defeated by this company that I just thanked them and hung up. Today we are going to look for a stove and slowly start replacing the appliances as they break. The only saving grace has been the dishwasher, and that's only if you don't count the new motor I had to put into it last December. I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY ANY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCE AGAIN. I also make it a point to share my horror story with any person I see looking at the appliances at a store. If anyone wants to message me please do so, and I will share all the details.

Electrolux washing wachine bought in 2011 turned into a pice of scrap only two and a half years later. The machine was used under normal conditions but the motor burned out. The cost of the machine is 300 euro and repair costs for new engine and PCU are of the same amount. So after just two and a half years I have a piece of scrap looking like brand new. Never buy anything from this brand.

Electrolux bad product and customer care

Fourteen months into a $2, 000 Electrolux induction stovetop purchase "the thing" died. To add salt to the wound, we're 3 weeks into "the thing" dying and no fix in sight. Upon calling their service department I was responsible with making service arrangements through their local service provider. I gave Electrolux the error code so they knew the faulty part but still waited 1 week for them to tell me what I already told them, Now it's 1 week to order the part and 1 week to reschedule for the local service provider to install the part. The Electrolux Stovetop is crap and their customer service is worse then the product. Buyer beware of anything with the name Electrolux on it.

Electrolux defective range

A couple of months after we bought the stove (and a fridge), we noticed the element temperatures were erratic, either too hot or too cool. Shortly after purchasing the stove we also bought a new set of pots and pans with an energy saving feature of cooking at much lower temperatures. We started cooking everything at simmer or low as any other setting was too hot. This is our first smooth top stove and we assumed that elements were supposed to click on and off every couple of seconds. We soon learned that the elements only have two settings regardless of what the dials say; either weld or cool. Unfortunately before we learned this we damaged some of the new cookware. Simmer was too hot and warped our new pot. When we called Bad Boy in Barrie, they told us that this is the way glass tops worked and we were not used to it.

We called a couple of more times but got nowhere.

About a year later, the outlet on top of the stove shot sparks out and stopped working. We had to replace this at our expense as when we called Bad Boy, they said it was out of warranty.

Since we got the stove, we had problems with the elements. Last November (2011) the front left element finally went bad. It would come on and then go off. It would do this the whole time you cooked. You could not boil water. A short time later the element came on high and would not shut down to a lower temp. In order for it to go to simmer, you had to turn off the element and then turn it back on to the simmer point. The oven timer and then the oven worked intermittently. We had a repairman out to assess the repair and once he pulled the offending piece out and cleaned it with an eraser, could not get it back in. This is a Frigidaire repairman! The part that needs to be replaced is $457.00! That does not include having someone install the part. This is just not right. We are continuously told that we should have taken out the warranty but we didn't see the need when all through history, stoves have lasted 20 or 30 years or more as our last stove did and we are supposed to have progressed to the point that stoves should not only be much cheaper, but should not need servicing at all. The price of the extended warranty was prohibitive and we erroneously thought that it was unnecessary. Rather than have a stove and timer that worked intermittently, I now have nothing and I really would like to eat something from the oven instead of the microwave. I also cannot understand why my six-year-old microwave (that also has push button electronics and that cost me $89.00 brand new) is still working and has never given me a problem. Seriously, if Frigidaire is making disposable stoves that only last four years then that should be reflected in the price.

I digress. Once the front control panel of the stove began breaking down we starting having problems with a burner coming on by itself while the selector was in the 'off' position. The hot surface light would not operate consistently. I reached up for something in the cupboard above the stove and rested my right handed on the stove for balance, this is when I burnt my hand. I went to the doctor's office and he told me that it was a second degree burn and that I needed home-care nursing to come in to change the bandages until it healed. This was frustrating.

Now, the oven does not work at all. What we have is two small elements and one large duel element that we have to stand over to see whether the stove wants to roar out of control or sit back and offer too little heat where you can't even boil an egg on 'high'. This is a glorified hot plate. While wiping down the stove a chip suddenly appeared in the front between the cook top and the oven. We do not store anything heavy over the stove and have not had anything in the kitchen to do this. It was as if we washed the paint off. Upon closer inspection we notice the entire front of the stove is showing the black undercoat. Further inspection showed rust spots forming between the glass in the oven door. We really feel that we have been taken advantage of.

Fortunately the new fridge works fine although a crack appeared in the door a few weeks after delivery. We didn't file a complaint because it doesn't affect the mechanics of the fridge, it just looks bad. I doubt that I will purchase another appliance from you based on the poor performance of this stove. There is so much wrong with it that we are asking for a replacement with the original 2 year warranty along with two five year warranties that are transferable.

They are still messing around with this, (since Nov. of 2011) even after we told them that I received a second degree burn on my hand. We are still without a stove.

Electrolux terrible quality & support

I purchased all new Electrolux appliances for my kitchen exactly two years ago. Since that time I have had the double oven fixed once, the refrigerator fixed four times and then finally replaced and most recently the microwave has gone out.

Its only been two years (almost to the day) and I have spent countless hours working with Electrolux and repair people on the phone and at home (missing work on several occasions). I now have to pay a trip charge to have the microwave looked at and will have to pay labor to fix it.

In two years these very expensive appliances should not have had such awful quality problems. We considered Frigidaire or GE (which by the way our friends went with and have had no problems at all) but went with Electrolux due to the perceived quality and excellent warranty - which in both cases are absolutely false.

Its been nothing but disappointing and frustrating. Electrolux has not stood behind there appliances and they make it very difficult to get support. We have had the run around on every occasion and a lack of accountability or more importantly a lack of responsibility to the consumer to ensure the appliances are repaired and taken care of in as painless of a process as possible. On one occasion the repair person went so far as to tell me that Electrolux quality is not what it used to be and how they are getting more and more calls regarding these appliances so they too were a bit concerned that quality is no longer a priority at Electrolux.

Lessons learned and the same mistake will not be made ever again. If Elextrolux stepped up and took responsibility and accountability it would go a long way, however even the employees I have spoken too seem a bit disillusioned.

Electrolux bad service and products

Hello Chris,
I am not happy with the service or answers your Electrolux agents provided me today.
We saved and saved then purchased our dream house. I wanted everything to be perfect when re-doing the kitchen. Was told by the sales agent that Electrolux was top of the line. So, in 2006 my husband and I purchased four of your "Icon" products. We purchased the double convection wall oven, convection microwave, dishwasher and the side by side refrigerator. And, it was not cheap. Within the first week my oven exploded and glass shattered all over my kitchen. That oven was replaced.
Last month I decided to clean my "Icon" oven. First time. After the cleaning was complete, the oven stopped working.
In addition to the broken "Icon" oven, the "Icon" refrigerator's front door water press broke. So we are not able to get any water from the unit. The plastic lever had to be faulty since I noticed the design has been changed. Therefore, your company must have been aware of this problem.
We spent almost $8, 000.00 buying Electrolux and your company says that these appliances should not last more than 6 years? We need extended warranties because Electrolux is not confident in their products? You may not think $8, 000.00 is a lot of money but I do. My husband works for the US Airforce and we have made many sacrifices moving, serving and living on a lesser salary than the private sector offers. And now the company you represent wants to nickle and dime us to fix something that was not our fault. Really. Do the correct thing. Please fix our "Icon" products.
I m waiting for your prompt reply,

Frances Zeller

Electrolux problems with new appliances

Recently ordered electrolux - ew23cs70is side by side refrigerator - as soon as it arrived noticed one of the drawers was not installed correctly - a repairman came out to fix it - was a problem with the wiring. Then a few weeks later the water dispenser was no longer working. By the time another repairman came out it was working again.. They refused to replace it until it again stopped working which happened soon after. They have now replaced the door and for the time being the water is working again - for now. The repairman seemed to indicate this is a common problem. We also had probelms with the electrolux microwave door not aligning properly. This was fixed too.. But we are very concerned about so many early problems with our electrolux appliances (Thankfully the dishwasher (Bosch) and stove (Bertazzoni) were not electrolux and they are working very well so far). We have not been very impressed with the official electrolux repair people... Would not order an electrolux appliance again!

Electrolux washer and dryer

My husband bought an Electolux Washer and Dryer on 12/24/09. Since then we have had two service calls, one for the washer and one for the dryer. Well tonight I do a load of laundry only to find out there is no water coming into the machine, it will not spin, and it smells like the motor was burning up. Of course my warranty expired so tomorrow I will have to call and pay for a repairman to come out. NOT HAPPY and will NEVER buy their crappy products again. They should come with a lifetime warranty with the way these things break down. We paid over 2500 for the two and this is crazy! If you want something good do yourself a favor and do not buy from this company!
