I ordered graduation photographs from Ede and Ravenscroft on 21/11/12 and paid for these at the same time - £99.00 + vat. The ceremony took place on 11/12/12. I was given a delivery time of 4-6 weeks. The photographs have not arrived. I have phoned and was told the photographs were posted - standard delivery - and it was up to me to chase up Royal Mail. I have contacted my local sorting office and they have no parcel. Ede and Ravenscroft said they have no delivery/tracking number so it is impossible to track the order. Despite numerous emails to Ede and Ravenscroft, no one replies and I have had no apology let alone any photographs. T

I have received my graduation pictures recently and they are awful. The photos were captured in dim light and it was told they will edit before printing, but the pictures are darker than in the reality. I would not recommend anyone to take service as it’s just absolute waste of money for no good. An iPhone can take better picture than a professional camera and photographer of this company

14 weeks after our twins’ graduation we still have No graduation photos.

3 of us have spent hours phoning and attempting to get our photos delivered. It is easy money to hire out gowns, caps and take photos of your captive audience. The money is taken up front. We have paid for both girls individual photos as well as joint photos but they have not been received.

I could not recommend Ede & Ravenscroft as their customer service is appalling. It is common sense and manners to at least show concern or be somewhat apologetic. It is actually the opposite with them They will tell you that they have too much work and are far too busy and you may get them in another 12 weeks.

In business one should not be so arrogant. Someone else may fill your shoes or (gowns).

Abysmal customer service.

I tried to order a cap and gown via the website multiple times, but the site wouldn't accept my payment (checked and double checked, definitely a problem with their website. It took customer service two weeks to get back and tell me to place my order over the phone.

The employee on the phone was one of the rudest, most incompetent people I've ever dealt with. From the beginning of the call, she was rushing me through everything, while making multiple mistakes, so I needed to repeat myself many times and the call ended up taking much longer than it had to. Her tone was extremely patronising and she kept sighing whenever something didn't go her way. She had the nerve to patronise *me* when I expressed my frustration with the situation (not even with her personally). In the end, because of her constant interruptions and rushing me through the process, she messed up my order as I wasn't given a chance to order pictures alongside my robes.

As the experience was so horrible, I don't feel it's worth the hassle of calling back to order pictures.

Perhaps it's because I called half an hour before closing time and she really wanted to get off work early, but I was treated like an inconvenience as opposed to a paying customer. I'm young, so I wouldn't want to know how she deals with old people who are slower with these things than I am.

I had ordered some graduation photos from my ceremony 24/11/2021.
I ordered 25/11/2021.

I was advised 4-6 weeks for photos to be printed and delivery.

My order number is 3889461
Unique Case ID of xKzuBC

It has now been around 9 weeks. Around Christmas the order said out for delivery. It has not changed to in production? I emailed asking about this and had no response.
I have emailed many times with little to no response. The communication is poor and there seems to be a severe lack of customer service.

If these weren't once in a lifetime photos, I would cancel the order, and I believe that the company is taking real advantage of this.

I have researched the company and it seems a lot of people have this issue and it just really isn't good enough.

I paid extra for delivery - when spending over a hundred pounds seems a little silly anyway.

I am really keen to get my photos as soon as possible.

I do not understand why the lab have run out of the tight resource when they had an unusually low turnout for the ceremony therefore fewer than anticipated orders.

I will advise others to not have photos taken and to just have a friend or family take photos.

Really disappointed

As a single frame the Hand crafted Gold Leaf frame(16” x 12”) they sell at £125, but when it comes in the pack they charge the same frame with the same size at £265. Called them and the guy on the phone told me as far he is concerned there is nothing wrong. Asked then Can you guys sell the certificate gold frame separately because I save more buying each then what u guys state I save as a pack, he said no. So, I asked to talk to the manager and he said the manager can't deal with it because they are from customer service, really? The photographers are outsourced and I have to make a written complaint. That's is a shame, very poor customer service. There is no competition as this company is the only option available for my uni 'CULC' that's why they do whatever they want to

The whole process is a scam. I cannot believe that in 2014 a monopoly like this is allowed to exist. You can't graduate from any University unless you hire gowns from this sole company. They also provide official photography for the ceremony, nobody else.
The photo taking process is shambolic and intentionally archaic to extort money from graduands and their families. To take photographs at separate times (heaven forbid your family members arrive separately) requires you to pay a separate postage charge as their systems "cannot link them" in these days of databases and advanced technology.
They then fail to send your photos, blame Royal Mail for non-delivery and charge you postage AGAIN!
I guess I got off lightly since some unfortunate folk still don't have their photos!
Shameful to the nth degree.
I hope this monopoly is broken and these people are investigated. Competition is sorely needed.
Shameful.

My graduation was 16/07/14 - promised photos would be with me in 4-6weeks. Today is the 25/1014 and I've still not received the photos I spent £200 on! I have however recieved a completely different person at a completely different Uni on a completely different courses graduation photos today. Completely out of order! Rubbish service. Just rubbish.

Newcastle University graduation photos taken on 11.07.14
Still waiting for the correct pictures and mounts on 19.08.14.
Mounts for Birmingham University received !
3 telephone calls to try and resolve, posted incorrect photos back. Manager won't come to the phone - great customer service ... NOT. In fact, no idea of customer service and has absolutely no understanding of how this has tainted our sons big day. We have relatives waiting for these pictures.
Still waiting and been promised action today ... will wait and see.
Next email ... a formal complaint to the University to try and stop people like these from being able to provide such "service" and messing up big days like this graduation.

I ordered my graduation a few months ago, I had a delivery date of 28 days, this passed and no gowns etc had been delivered. I contacted Ede & Ravenscroft, by e-mail and had a new delivery date. this passed, and I contacted them again only to be told they are having problems with material suppliers, had a revised delivery date, this also passed, and no products! I contacted them again, only to be told the products should be delivered in a couple of weeks, this then passed, and still no products, I have been very patient, they are now not returning any e-mails or phone calls, and the last time I telephoned I was told, they do not directly work for Ede & Ravenscroft, but for a call centre? they have ruined a very special day, avoid the company at all costs.

I am having a very similar experience. They claim to have tried to deliver twice but no cards were left. Their customer service is absolutely appalling - taking quite the attitude with me. The problem is, as getting my MBA is a once in a lifetime event, they have not only ruined it, I have no opportunity to not use them again. Avoid, take a friend to take your picture would be my advice.
