Furnace
We had a furnace apart of a furnace installed in july 2016. The company that had did the partial install was Canadian Standards. Eco global came in right after the orginal company and said we needed to have the furnace up to code. So a lot more was added to the furnace. We have had issues from day1 and no one will contact us. all we get is an answering service as to they will forward the message to the management. We have been told its under investiagation and they will get back to us. They never have. We were told by the eco global rep to put stop payment on the first company because eco global was taking over for them. We have gotten numerous calls from the previous company stating that they will take us to collections. We are losing sleep over this whole situation and has put a lot of stress on my family. We would like to get this resolved asap We feel weve been scammed.
Hot Water filter
this was a door to door sale to a 72 year old lady. they stating that they could install a filter on the hot water which will improve the efficiency by removing all the settlement in her hot water tank (she is on town water) and she qualified for a monthly rebate so everything will be free. she signed the attached contract.
She called me and I went to go over waiting for them to to come to install this system. As we were waiting we received a call from the company asking if she had her void cheque ready to give to the installer. i question is this was free why a cheque, they stated the utility company will reduce her monthly bill by around $90 a month so the $79.99 fee will be off set. At least that is what I got through the double talk.
I asked how does this system work and they tried to tell me by removing the impurities from the water it will make the hot water tank much more efficient, this a program set up by the Ontario clean energy program. I told he that him that i feel that this was a scam and we are not permitting them to install the filter and we are using our 10 day cool down day and cancelling the contract.
