Eagle Carports metal building

I ordered a building and was told I would have it in 8 to 10 weeks possibly 12 and I finally got it 5 1/2 months later. The customer service is the worst, they will not return calls and when you do finally get someone on the phone they lie and pass the blame on to others. I was told that the building would be sealed at the bottom with chalking and that they would supply the chalk, both lies. The roof style that I specified I wanted and thought I was getting was changed in the computer so I got a roof that I didn't want and one piece of the roof was damaged and put on anyway. Their dealer blames the company and company blames their dealer with neither excepting responsibility. Installation was rescheduled six times with little to no notice with no regards for my work schedule. very dissatisfied

Eagle Carports poor installation and follow-up

Contracted with Gatorback Carports and Eagle Carports for $6600 steel building. Building shifted and the walk-in door is jammed shut. Over the past week plus, made several calls to Gatorback which were answered with friendly sounding promises to fix, but no action. Today I was referred to "Chris" at Eagle who was unpleasant and could not say when they "might have a contractor in the area." Chris said that if I "bashed them" in reviews such as this, I would be "put at the end of the line." Guess I'm at the end of the line, but doesn't seem like I lost anything.

November 29, 2015 I purchased a carport from Eagle Carports over 4 months ago and have received nothing but the run-around, ignored, delayed and cancelled installation dates. On July 22, 2015 I paid the Eagle Carports sales person $85.50 as down payment. I was told the carport would be installed within 2 to 4 weeks. After waiting over 4 weeks and receiving...

Eagle Carports Poor customer service and lacks courtesy to return phone calls

Buyer Beware--NO coordination between retail outlets, warehouse, and installation crews! Was told that Thursday am was the ONLY time that week available for installation appt, and was told that they could not call and let me know when they were coming; I needed to set aside 1/2 day. I asked if afternoon or Friday were available instead as that would have fit my schedule better, but was told that wasn't an option. Thursday morning came and went, with no carport crew and no notice that they were running late. I called them to track it down and was told it would now be afternoon. (Hmm? the time slot I requested before but wasn't available?) I told them we would need to reschedule for the next week because I couldn't miss any more work. Then the install guy calls to tell me to wait on him or take off again on Friday. (At least that's what I think he said, English was NOT his 1st language, and oh by the way, the same Friday appt that I was told was not available?) As of the next Monday, no one from customer service had responded to try to reschedule the installation. I called the retail outlet to try and resolve the situation. Got a number for Bill who is supposed to be some sort of manager. He didn't seem to care whether I got a carport or not, and acted like it was my fault that I wasn't willing to wait all day missing work whether they showed up or not. I asked for a discount to compensate me for the work I had missed. His response was, quote, "They're not big on giving discounts." He was supposed to talk to someone and get back to me, but he never called back. Another round of phone calls a few days later and their solution was that I should leave my gate and my house unlocked and just mark off the spot where I wanted the carport so they could come to my house while I wasn't there. Are you kidding me?

I finally gave up and requested a refund from the retail outlet. I actually felt sorry for the lady at Blake's Portable Buildings, because she had already paid out the commission to her employee, and I'm sure that Eagle will not give her a refund, so she got ripped off, too!

I understand that things happen and I was not trying to be unreasonable, but their customer service and even the courtesy to return phone calls was severely lacking.

If you don't work and have nothing better to do and wait for installation folks, you may not mind this type of service, but for working class folks like me in today's economy, it is just not acceptable.

I was a regional rep for Eagle Carports and I wouldn't let them GIVE me their product. They are Unprofessional as are their crews. In my opinion they don't stand behind their product and the product itself is inferior when compared to others on the market. Keep shopping and you will find a better product with better management team to behind it.

I had my carport installed on an asphalt pad. The installation team showed up at 6am to install my carport. I showed them exactly where I wanted my carport prior to leaving for work at 6:15. When I arrived home that afternoon to find that one corner of my carport was hanging off the asphalt pad even though the pad was at least 6 inches bigger than my carport all the way around. I called the next morning to report this matter and it was requested that I send pictures. I sent several pictures and the response I received was that I had signed off on the placement of my carport stating I was satisfied with it's placement and that it would be $150 to have it moved.. After telling them that I had signed off on nothing and was not even there when they completed the installation they said it would be up to the owner. The owner determined it would be OK for my carport to hang off the edge of my asphalt pad. Don't let them determine what's ok for your carport!

Regarding S and W Storage Buildings' comment about his/her dealer follow-through, I wish they were my dealer. I've had zero contact from my dealer, Richard Samide of Fort Lupton, CO since he drove out of my driveway with my 10% deposit check 2-1/2 months ago. And, it's still not installed! I had originally planned to order two other buildings from him after this one, but not now. I'll find someone else. Fort Lupton is a small town. Richard Samide moved here only about two years ago from Denver (amazing what you can find out about people on the interwebs). I'll spread the word around town about him and Eagle Carports and the seven other company names they seem to operate under.

My experience has been nearly exactly the same. Over a month after my order, Nicole called to schedule my installation. She said they needed a half-day window, told her it has to be a morning window, I work an hour away. We set an appointment. Tabitha calls the day before the appointment, truck broke down, needs to re-schedule. Lucy calls the day before the next appointment, needs to re-schedule again, crew lead says he can't make the appointment, having trouble with unreliable workers.
Someone from ECI calls the afternoon before the next (third) appointment scheduled for "first thing" Weds. morning, e.g., first install that day, leaves message that crew will be late. Returned call Weds. morning to find out how late, Nicole says she'll call me back. No call back, by 11:30, crew is a no-show, I leave for work.
Veronica calls Thurs. afternoon to say crew can be there "this evening". I say no, I'm an hour away, I need a morning window, already took time off for this this week, need to schedule for next week, she says okay, let me wee what I can do.
Same day, just before 7 P-frickin-M!, boarder calls, says crew is on site, unloading. I say, no, installation cannot be inspected properly in the dark, they are not authorized to be on site at that time, they are trespassing, call the sheriff if necessary.
No contact from NCI at all on Fri. This company is F Troop! We'll see what happens next.

According to information available at http://www.carportsbuyer.com/, it looks like the following companies are all related/connected: American Steel Carports, Inc., Coast-to-Coast Carports, Inc., Eagle Carports, Inc., Superior Carports, Inc., T-N-T Carports, Inc., Tri-State Carports, Inc., USA Steel Buildings, Inc., and West Coast Metal Buildings, Inc.
They are all owned by various members of the Torres family, and if you look at the contract terms available on some of the sites, they are all substantially identical.

I have been selling Eagle carports for a year.Sometimes the dealer that sold you the Carport just needs to step up and make sure your order was placed correctly. When I sell a carport or garage i always call and talk to the peson in charge of arranging set ups.I find out how long this will be and tell the customer.Eagle always calls the customer a couple days in advance to set this up.I also tell customer to call me if they do not receive a call from eagle. If a customer calls me I check with Eagle get exact date and return customers call.Eagle has a great product at a great price.I have 100 percent satisfaction with every sell i have made for them.As for the customer with the night installation all they had to do was tell them to come back in the morning and this wood have been done. One thing for customers to remember ALWAYS buy from a dealer who is established.I have always said a happy customer tells 2 people.A unhappy customer will tell 10.So step up for your customers and take care of all there needs
