Fraudulent online DVD business!

DVD Donkey.com is a fraudulent company. I ordered the "Little House on the Praire" complete series, the 1st week of December 2007 and it never arrived. My credit card was immediately billed for $184.92 which actually wasn't the amount on the invoice I printed off their website. The original invoice amount including shipping was $177.78 and they added more without offering any explanation. That is the first red flag, since immediately after I punched in my VISA number they failed to send an answering e-mail notifying me of my purchase. They promise to notify via e-mail on the order info page from their website, but failed to do it. The 2nd red flag went up when it took an entire week to answer my e-mail inquiring about my order. These guys are really slick since they even came up with a phony tracking number for the item being shipped. It has now been over six weeks since I purchased these movies online and received nothing. They are operating out of Canada somewhere, and Canada mail is slower than the US but not that slow where it should take up to 6 weeks or longer to ship something. On their website they promise delivery in 12-14days. My bank tried to contact them via phone but made no contact. Interesting, I was able to talk with someone on their live online chat link. I accused them of being a fraud, their response was "wait one more week and the package will arrive" unbelievable. These guys are a bunch of crooks. Also their business has different names, "DVD Store" was listed on the visa charge, their e-mail reply to me was "order@addicts.tv" and of course the "DVD Donkey.com" website. Beware of these guys.

Same thing hapened to me. I contacted all agencies, Regina BBB found address they are using is fake and is a government building. BBB is working to find them because government building is constantly receiving returned packages and compalint resolutins letter they (the BBB) are sending them. They are making progress though, by tracking the ISP address they are using. In meantime I am using every resource I can to get to them. They wont answer the phone, live chat wont give you any information and they re-send out worthless e-mails like your original invoice and shipping notification to buy time and put you off.

I also was a victim of their fraud. I purchased a box set of Beauty and the Beast for 42.99 +S/H and that was in Oct. 2007 I am yet to get any information on that order. I have tried everything to contact their company and all I get is the run around. I did get a chance to speak to the live operator but when I told her that I was going to contact the BBB,,she quickly signed off and I couldnt get another person. I then called their 1-800# 1-877-7-TV-SHOW or email us at orders@DVDDonkey and spoke to someone for a brief moment and they told me they were based out of Florida, I was charged 67.95 and on my statement it was under Sprint. Thats when the red flag flew because I dont own anything that has to do with Sprint. kTLhe 2nd flag flew when 3 weeks passed and nothing has come. I was getting so upset that i called my credit card company to see if they couldve done something. I'm sill in the process of getting these guys. Here is a copy of the bogus email confirmation that was sent to me.........

We ordered Rawhide the full series from DVDdonkey, like everyone else ,we had official emails stating order numbers etc. We were told it was out of stock, so we gave it a week and asked them to confirm a delivery or give us our money back. We cannot raise them, they do nor respond to emails. We are out of pocket by $229. When are goverments going to act to protect us against these web sites. All sites selling stuff should give you their address on the home page and a telephone number so you can use to check that they are genuine before ordering. Once a site is shown to be a rip off, the law should drag the site to hell and back. All sites should register themselves with a bond to protect consumers against losses. and to have goverment approved logo on the home page, so you and me get to know they are fully checked out before trading. anyone agree?
